THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT.
God’s divine power
has already given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Note
that this scripture (2 Peter 1:2-3) is in the present perfect tense; therefore
it’s not a promise. This means that God has already done it; His divine power
has already given us all things that we need to live the good and prosperous
life. Praise God, all my needs are met and I have no reason to lack anything in
life! No wonder the Psalmist said, “The
Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).
You must copy or imitate his mentality. You shouldn’t lack
for the Lord is now your Shepherd. He makes you lie down in green pastures, He
leads you beside the still waters, and He restores your soul (Psalm 23:3).
