When God gives us a burden He gives us the grace to bear it: The sufficiency of God’s grace

2 Corinthians 12:9 says “My grace is sufficient for thee; for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Francis Xavier left wealth and position and set out across the world with the message of redemption through Christ Jesus.

It took energy and will-power for him to labour twenty-one hours out of twenty – four to learn to preach in twenty different languages in ten short years, to beg for passage on a troop ship, and later sail…
