| God wants you to defeat your foe“I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19).
Satan was “the anointed cherub . . . You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked in the midst of the stones of fire. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created” (Ezekiel 28:14-15). However, here is the clue to Satan’s fall, “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendour” (vv. 17-19). The Enemy knows his fate, but he is counting on the fact that we do not. When he was cast out of heaven, he misled a third of heaven’s angelic force. The chaos these fallen creatures create at times is still under the watchful eye of God… |
