Always pray for those who are in authority
1 Timothy 2:1-2 says: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” This is the will and plan of God. In other words, God tells us that He can have influence upon the hearts of men, upon kings and other people in authority. He tells us the way He can have this influence is if we will lift them up before Him. I know that you may not be like me, but I often forget my leaders. I’d rather complain than pray. But here we see that God can change the hearts of the people and the circumstances; not just kings and presidents, but even mayors, teachers…
