Deuteronomy_6-5: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Deuteronomy was written by Moses and given to Israel as a covenant. The book provided the new generation of Israelites with the necessary foundation and motivation for inheriting the Promised Land by focusing on the nature of God and His covenant with Israel. God declared Himself to be mightier than every opposing power, force and ability. As believers in the body of Christ, we have been given the right and authority to exercise our power, because greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world.
