PRICE OF DISCIPLESHIP

TEXT:Matthew 19: 21-22.

INTRODUCTION:

No true discipleship is without a price and aspiration. This is our focus today.

GOALS OF DISCIPLESHIP

Your aspiration as a disciple of Jesus Christ is

(i) To translate precepts and principles received into practice and lifestyle.

(ii)To conform to the ideal of the Master.

(iii) To aspire not only to be like the Master but also to do greater works. Jn 14: 12.

PRICE OF DISCIPLESHIP

To be His disciple, there is a price to pay.

(i)Self denial. Matt 16: 24; Matt 19: 21-22.

(ii) Abandonment of one’s will for Christ’s

(iii) Inconvenience. Acts.10: 10-21.

(iv) A life of consecration to God. Exo 29: 9.

(v)Cross bearing. Matt 10: 38; Lk 14: 27

(vi) Separation from the world practice. 1 Jn 2: 16.
