PARTIAL OBEDIENCE

TEXT:1 Samuel 15: 1-23.

INTRODUCTION:

Partial obedience means incomplete obedience to the instructions of God. It also means toying with divine instructions. 1Sam.13: 1-14; 1Sam.15: 1-23. It is synonymous with disobedience.

Disobedience is in the same class with rebellion, witchcraft, stubbornness and idolatry. 1 Sam.15: 22-23. It is a sin which God does not tolerate.

THOSE WHO DISOBEY GOD

Those who disobey God have problems of submitting to divine authority, and impatience – they see God as too slow or late for them. 1Sam.13: 1-14. They tend to think that they know more than God and they lack obedient heart. Another thing about them is that they see no difference between the word of God and that of men e.g. King Saul. 1Sam.13: 1-14; 1Sam.15: 1-23.
