Marriage is a Spiritual Relationship

Successful marriages are made up of two people who are individually married to God before they are married to each other. The strongest bond that unites husband and wife is the bond that each of them has with God.

The love that keeps couples together is the love that each of them has for God. Human love fails but God’s love is eternal. God is love. Therefore true love is from God. Successful couples individually fall in love with God first and let their spouses occupy the privileged 2nd position.
