The time of waiting on the Lord, is also a time of resting in Him. Resting in God is not a passive activity. You actively rest in God not in the spirit of qui sera sera (whatever will be ,will be) but with a knowing that He is in absolute control.

Jesus said, come unto Me. When He made the call, He made it knowing that He has all you need. He did not say “come and let us see what we can do”; that is the language of man. Man can promise and fail. Man can promise with a good intention and unforeseen circumstances come up and make the promise impossible to fulfill…
