Spiritual Blindness! Don’t Be Spiritually Blind. The Truth Is In God’s Word. Accept That Truth And Then Live By The Truth.

Spiritual Blindness! Don’t Be Spiritually Blind. The Truth Is In God’s Word. Accept That Truth And Then Live By The Truth.

2 Corinthians 13:1

“This will be the third time I am coming to you “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.”

NKJV

In 2 Corinthians, Paul is wrestling with a group of people who doubt him at every turn. They are examining Paul’s faith when they should be examining their own. Our spiritual life, in part, is built on self-examination, course corrections. As you drive a car or steer a boat, you make many small adjustments to the wheel. In our own life, it is insightful to read a verse and think about what it says and as we do, we adjust our course based on God’s Word.

Paul seemed to be a very kind man, maybe soft spoken, yet he could be a fireball when people challenged him or got in the way of him ministering to people. He wanted to be kind and gracious (as he wrote 1 Cor. 13), but was willing to be firm. This is a picture of Jesus. Yet despite his best efforts, many continued to be blind to God’s Truth. They would rather believe the lie than accept the Truth and therefore, they commit themselves to spiritual blindness. Friend, don’t be spiritually blind. The Truth is in God’s Word. Accept that Truth and then live by the Truth. It may hurt at times as you examine your life, but that is for your own good. Trust God and remove the blindfold.

People are never as blind as the ones who refuse to see.

Dear Heavenly Father! God!

Please give me eyes to see the Truth. Examine my heart, my mind and my actions. If there is sin in my life, forgive me. If there is a wrong motive, please help change me. If I am weak, please fill me with Your strength. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!
