For it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:16

As children of the Most High God we are called to be holy because He is holy.

There is no middle ground. God did not tell us to try to be holy, make a resolution to be holy, or to strive to be holy. He issued a definitive command-“be holy.” To abide in Him means to follow His command and make ourselves like Him.

God would never issue such a command if it were impossible for us to achieve it. There is only one way for us to be holy-and that is through the equipping of Holy Spirit: “‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6).

Are you willing to submit to the process of holiness? Are you willing to be refined by His holy fire? Are you willing for God to help you dispose of all the muck and mire that has filled your well of holiness?

Holiness has already been secured on the cross. God will be with you as you re-dig your well of holiness-He has already provided all that you need. The Lord Himself will surround you and watch over your life as you walk with Him.
