This morning we want to talk about a Day of Visitation, and our Bible text is from Luke 19: 5 – 10. A day of visitation can be a day of blessing or it can be a day of judgment, and when that visitation comes, it’s usually for a specific purpose and for a specific time, to meet a specific need.

Some of the Bible characters that had their own day of visitation;

• Abraham and Sarah, Genesis 18: 1 & Genesis 18: 10.
• The children of Israel, Exodus 3: 7 -8, Exodus 4:31.
• Apostle Peter, the great fisherman, Luke 5: 1 – 10
• Peter’s mother-in-law, Matthew 8: 14- 15
• Tabitha or Dorcas, Acts 9: 36 – 43

Looking at the other side of the day of visitation;

• Disobedience of Jonah, Jonah 1: 17 & Jonah 2: 10.

How do I prepare for my day of visitation?

• Prayer, Matthew 7:7.
• Faith, Romans 10:17
• Humility and the need for us to surrender all, Matthew 23: 12
• To study and meditate on the word of God, 2nd Timothy 3: 16-17.
• Repentance and obedience, 1st John 1:9 & John 14:15.
