At what point do you say to yourself “Hi! This person, this marriage, this relationship means a lot to me than his/her dragon breathe, pungent odor or putrid veevee?”
There’s pretty lady I know, I always wonder if she will ever found true love, even all the cologne of antiseptic she wears, can’t mask her body odor, and I think hers is a medical issue.
I think it is easier for a woman to stay with a man that has odor, than a man with a woman that has body odor.
Every time I see this certain man kiss his wife, I wonder if she throws up later.
At what point would you overlook the offensive smell and get to love the person for who he or she is?

Most husbands are not the source of their wives unhappiness.
Many men are not the source of their wives’ unhappiness.
You know, there are things that you will try as a man, to try and please your wife, but after some time, you realize that you are not the source of that unhappiness because you can never do anything right that pleases your wife. So be in herself and within herself there are some internal struggles that she is having and those internal struggles you can’t fix them, because she needs to make a choice on whether she needs to move on from certain struggles that are keeping her behind.
You are not the source of your wife’s unhappiness.
Don’t blame yourself, don’t ever do that, because once you blame yourself, you will try everything, to try and correct that unhappiness of your wife and after some time you get tired and realize that you are not the source.
So, from the start you are not the cause of your wife unhappiness, she needs to take charge of her own unhappiness so that she can live better within the union.

MESSAGE:
Marriage is a beautiful gift from God; it is designed to bring joy and fulfilment to both partners. Like every other gift from God, it comes with a manual – the Word of God. In today’s Bible reading, there is a detailed description of how a husband and wife should relate with each other. Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the church, while wives are to submit to their husbands.
Many women don’t understand what submission really means. They say they are submissive, whereas they are only cooperative. Cooperation is agreeing with your husband because you want the same things. Submission, however, is complying with his wish even when you don’t agree.
Many women find it difficult to submit to their husbands because the society talks about gender equality. However, this is not what the Bible says about marriage.
Submission does not mean slavery or servitude, rather, it is a voluntary act of respect and obedience from a wife to her husband as the head of the home. When you obey your boss in the office, it is not because you are a slave, it is because there is a hierarchy that must be followed for things to go smoothly in the office. An English proverb says that two captains cannot sail a ship. As a wife, your husband is the captain of your marriage-ship; submitting to him is a key ingredient in ensuring that you have a blissful marriage.
Years ago, I used to preach regularly at a university, and a woman would usually come to me complaining about her husband’s stubbornness and asking me to pray the stubbornness away. After a while, I decided I wasn’t going to pray anymore. I told her, “When you get home, place his food on the dining table, call him your head, and ask him to come and eat. When he sits at the table, give him a bowl of water, kneel and let him wash his hands in it.” She said, “No way! He is a professor just like I am. We are the same.” I replied that if she wanted my help, she should take my advice. She decided to do it, and at first, her husband wondered if she had poisoned the food. She told him that her pastor taught her what she was doing, and suddenly, the stubborn husband became very soft. He followed her to the next service and became born again. Their marriage blossomed thereafter.

The fact that you are a Christian does not in any way take romance out of your marriage. Marriage is the only institution where romance and intimacy is allowed between a man and a woman. Some pastors hardly go on dates with their spouses because they consider such a romantic activity as a distraction from their focus on spiritual matters. Some of them don’t even play with their spouses anymore. Beloved, the anointing does not reduce the need for romance in marriage.
Isaac was an anointed man of God and a successful businessman, yet in Genesis 26:8, the Bible says he was being romantic with his wife: And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife. Don’t become too rigid in your marriage; don’t have more fun elsewhere without your spouse. Make the times that you and your spouse spend together so much fun that you are always looking forward to seeing each other again. If you are married, remember how you used to talk for long hours with your spouse before you got married and had children; revive that relationship again. Your spouse is still the same fellow you were very fond of, and the things you loved in him or her are still there. Don’t let all the cares of this life distract you from the gems in your spouse.
Once in a while, compose a poem for your spouse and read it to him or her in a romantic setting. Spice things up with pleasant surprises every now and then. Write a note and put it in his or her bag so that when they get to the office and open their bag, they will see the note and smile. Have a pet name that you call each other behind closed doors. Up until today, there is a pet name my wife calls me when we are alone. I equally have a pet name that I call her, and every time I call her by that name, she cannot but smile at me lovingly. When we are alone, we are lovers, not Daddy G.O and Mummy G.O. Your marriage can be like heaven on earth if you and your spouse are deliberate about remaining the lovebirds that you were when you first got married.
Don’t let the romance die.

How Jacob Murdered Rachel His Wife.
Ignorance is the mother of destruction. Many marriages are crumbling before our eyes. Blame game has become the order of the day because nobody wants to accept responsibility. Everyone is right.
In Genesis 31:30.Jacob was accused of stealing the gods of his uncle Laban. He provokingly released a curse in vs 32 that whomsoever the gods shall be found with should not live, not knowing that his heartthrob Rachel was the one responsible. Before they could reach their destination, Rachel experienced terrible hard labour and died. The venom from Jacob’s mouth killed her.
How Abigail Assassinated Nabal Her Husband.
1 Samuel 25:25. My husband’s name is Nabal, a man of Belial, evil and folly are with him. This is how Abigail presented her husband to a total stranger.

Marriage is not a cure for loneliness.

Marriage is not a cure for sadness.

Marriage is not a cure for brokenness.
If you get married expecting it to resolve all these issues, all you really did was make breaking up more expensive. Love is for everyone, but marriage is for the matured.
Instead of praying for an opportunity, first ask God to prepare you for the opportunity so that when you receive the blessing you can handle the measure of responsibility attached to it.
Many are asking for something that their character cannot maintain. Marriage is too big for you to enter into with little understanding.
Marriage is not an experiment. It’s a divine covenant that you enter into advisedly, soberly and reverently. You don’t get married to just try it out. You get married to LIVE IT OUT, WORK IT OUT AND LOVE IT OUT!!!
Many people have a plan to build, but not a strategy to sustain and maintain what they’ve prayed for. Longevity must be a part of the blueprint. If God’s kingdom is eternal, then what we build must be built on longevity in mind. It’s bigger than cosmetics and having a sexy curves and pretty face.
Anyone can engage. Anyone can elope. Anyone can exchange vows… but can you endure?
Forever is such a long time to be miserable!
Marriage is not an experiment. Don’t try it out. Go into it knowing this is what you want, where you want to be and who you want to be with or else your experiment will become an experience you desperately want to escape.
Everyone wants the wedding, but can you stand the marriage? Most of us only love based on condition and convenience.
Can you stand the test when God allows your marriage boat to rock just a little or will you jump ship?
You have to want more than just the pretty pictures. It’s about having something REAL AND WORTH PRESERVING.
Being married won’t heal you and being single won’t kill you. Don’t rush. Don’t force it. Don’t be desperate for it and don’t settle just for anyone.
A lot of people promise FOREVER until they realize how much work FOREVER is.

Introduction:
The Christian courtship is a period that is often set aside for the would-be Christian couple to know themselves better. It must also, be emphasized that within this period, the intending couple must not defile themselves an should adhere strictly to the moral and spiritual standards set by the Church. It is a period within which the families of both parties will get to know themselves, and the couple to be will have the opportunity of knowing whether they are compatible, or share the same visions, hopes and aspiration that they will need to carry them through their lifetime. Dear Mum & Dad,
Please, stop teaching your daughter that it’s her job to fix her man! Who will fix her, when she is busy fixing another?
Mummy, stop telling her that she’s the home builder! Tell her that she will work hand in hand with her husband to build her home.
Our society today is littered with over-burdened wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. They are wearied, they are stressed and drained, from having to fix themselves and as well fix an adult who ought to be fixing himself and fixing things around the house.
Look around you, you’ve succeeded in raising strong daughters and weak sons…. Sons who grew to become nonchalant men, men who rather feast while the women work.
Mum, teach your son that it’s his job to provide for his family, totally, exclusively, that way, he won’t expect his woman to share family responsibilities with him. When such expectations aren’t there, he will very much appreciate any input she makes.
Teach your son that he is the sole protector of his home that will make him not run off to chase pleasure with the idea that “my wife will handle it”.
Mum, teach your son that loving his wife is a daily affair, and he must make her feel loved, in every sense of the word….
Dad, make your son understand that he’s not done anything for his children, until he loves their mother fully.
Dad, raise your son, by loving his mother purely… When he sees you doing it right, he will do it more right in his marriage.
Dad, teach your son never to depend on a woman. That way, he will never look at a woman as his support, he will put in all his best to be there for his family.
Mom and Dad, raise your sons, to be the picture of the husbands you desire for your daughters!

“MARRIAGE is like a shoe. When you wear oversize, be ready to drag it along throughout life, and when you wear under-size be ready to feel the pains throughout life”.
One thing about marriage is that you don’t drop your shoe or remove it at any point, no matter how painful or how stressful it is. This is why it is necessary to know these points…….
Dear Singles, When you are ready to buy your own shoes please take note of these three things:
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:Do not look for the beautiful ones, the nice ones or the cheap ones. Look for the one that is your size. Not every handsome, wealthy or intelligent guy is for you, not every beautiful woman is for you. Look for the one that is meant for you, the one that aligns with your values and beliefs, the one who you meet at your life’s journey. It is important to know where you’re going in life before you think of getting a wife or meeting your husband.
POSITION:All sizes of shoes are not placed in the same place. There is a place for court shoes, laced up shoes, sport footwear, snickers etc. We have Children sizes, young people’s sizes and the adult sizes. Know where to get your own shoe. Your size cannot be everywhere my brother, your type cannot be everywhere my sister. You cannot be a Christian, and be looking for a wife material at a club. Your wife or husband can’t just be everywhere. Stick to your values and therein you shall find someone like you, but when your values are not defined anyone can just match you. Discover yourself and define your values.
PERCEPTION: In this kind of shoe purchasing enterprise, you are not permitted to try the shoe before you buy. This is why it is important to seek guidance and counseling, from people who have bought shoes before or are into the business of directing people to the right shoes (Pastors and Relationship coaches). And most importantly to avoid much time wasting time, simply consult the SHOE MANUFACTURER to tell you your size (GOD ALMIGHTY ).
“You do not prepare for wedding, you prepare for marriage.” Ladies these days get so motivated when they attend wedding and they will quickly want to say “yes” to that guy.
Wait!!! It is not just the wedding oh. The wedding is just one day. After the wedding WHAT NEXT?
Finally, it is not something you rush to the market and just pick a shoe because you like or can purchase it. Ask questions…
-Where is this shoe made from? (Background)
-What’s the size? (Values)
-How much? (His/Her interest)
-How long will it last? (His/Her Character)
-Who made it? (Is He/She of the same faith, talking about compatibility)
-Will it match me? (This is whether He/She loves you and will accept you the way you are).
Dear one, remember many are dragging their foot and they would hardly reach their destinies, many are feeling endless pains and wish they could pull off the shoes but no way!!! I have seen people with beautiful shoes and when they show you their foot, you will see the blisters and scars.
Beloved, it is not about the physical, but the size, you can’t know the size from afar so come close, build a relationship first but remember ‘you are not permitted to try it before you buy it’.
And for those who have purchased the wrong shoes, you can still make it your size again if you would just consult the Manufacturer and let Him have His way in your marriage.

WHAT YOU SOW IS WHAT YOU REAP….!
Many women wants the kind of husbands they see in the movies, my question is, are you the kind of wife in the movie? Do you treat your husband at home the same way the woman in the movie treats her husband? What you sow, you reap, give unto others what you want others to give you. You can not plant evil and be expecting to reap good.
Don’t be careless about your husband, give him the best treatment, don’t allow another woman give him a good treatment, don’t allow another woman play on his weaknesses. You take charge, care for him, show him love like that woman in the movie.
Don’t say because your husband is born again, or is a minister you treat him anyhow, you don’t pamper him….look here, no one knows tomorrow, he can backslide; he is not an angel. The fact that he is a child of God is the more reason you need to be careful, satan is at the door looking for ways to get him, he, satan, points out every one of your mistakes to him every minute, comparing you with the women of the world. It is your duty as his wife to help him stay true to his faith by the way you handle him.
Many men lose their salvation because of their wives’s behaviour, they just could not take it any more, so they pay attention to that soft spoken daughter of satan, whose only business is to destroy your husband and your home, she presents herself as an angel because of the way she treats him.
Madam, your husband is in your life for a reason. Let your life show him Christ daily.

Let me start off with a question: What is more than exciting to an engaged couple and their loved ones than the arrival of their wedding day?
The moment the groom gets to see his bride for the first time, the reading of the vows, and their first embrace as one bring such a flood of love and completeness that often, even the groom sheds a tear. The purity and joy of the union is so powerful!
Ya’ know, Jesus is called a bridegroom, with us as His bride, many times in the Bible. This imagery is a perfect picture of the anticipation and eagerness that Jesus has for us—His bride!
Jesus longs for you to come to Him and to be united with Him. He is not distant, difficult, or unkind. He never numbers your faults and He will not focus on your mistakes. Jesus is waiting for you to see the love that He and Father God have for you!
When Jesus promised that nothing would ever separate us from the love of our Father, it was not based on our ability to earn it. Instead, it was based on the power of His love to break through every wall and every obstacle… just like a husband will always do for his wife!
Celebrate your relationship with Jesus, every day. I am praying, today, that you hold your marriage with Jesus and the Lord in your heart, and that you covet His heart just as He covets yours!
