8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: Just as it is for a tree to be identified by its fruit, so it is for any generation of people to be identified by its character (Matthew 7:16-20). Every generation has its own uniqueness. Daniel refused to concur to devastating agenda for his future which later pave the way for his life of influence and affluence in a strange land.

Noah was a pleasure to the Lord.
He was the only true righteous man living on the earth at that time.
Noah always tried to conduct his task in accordance with God’s will.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: THE PAINS OF BEING DIFFERENT
Once you have made up your mind of being different in this present world, you must expect;
Hatred and persecution.
Loneliness.
Heartbreaks.
Loss of soul mates.
Emotional challenges.
Withdrawal of assistance from people.
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: GAINS OR BENEFITS OF BEING DIFFERENT.
It attracts divine attention. Acts 3:3
It prevents one from being put to shame. Psalm 119:6
It makes one find grace and favour from God and men. Genesis 6:8.
It helps one to be victorious. 1 Corinthians 15:57.
Increase in confidence for divine possibility.
Divine clearance of all opposition to one’s wellbeing.
Gaining access to divine mystery.
SUMMARY: Noah was the only true righteous man living on the earth at that time.
CONCLUSION: No matter how terrible a generation may be, God will always have His own people who will stand for Him as a living sanctuary. When Elijah was complaining that it was only him that remained as the righteous person after battling the threat of Jezebel, God told him that 7000 men were still righteous. In your generation, can you be singled out by God for defending His course?

Father, please end every area of my life that gives me pain.
Father, please destroy all activities of the devil that can bring heartbreak to me.

1-John_1-9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
There’s faith in Christ, and there’s religiosity. The thing about religiosity is that it’s a mask. And the mask is three layers deep. You never get to meet the person behind the mask.
One of the expressions of the mask is officious religious language and vocabulary. Religiosity people don’t speak English even though they use English words. They can’t say “Good morning,” or “I love you,” or “I have a problem.” They must couch it in spiritualese – the language of heavenly masquerades.
The mask hides guilt and vulnerability, gives a sense of superiority. It’s why religiosity people like to control others and why they tend to be judgmental. Tell them you’re going through a hard time and you won’t get empathy. The response will be something along the lines of, “You shall overcome as you remain faithful in the Lord and Christ is the centre of it all.” You can see a conditionality has been inserted, subtly. Inform them it’s your birthday, and you’ll get a text that reads, “O daughter of Zion, rejoice! May the radiance of Christ shine through you as you obey the heavenly vision.” Again, you see that conditionality.
Granted, the motivation is to always confess the word of God. But not to the detriment of being human. It’s why some men of the cloth don’t have friends or relationships. Chatting with religiosity people is like sitting in a room saturated with camphor. You can breathe, but your rib cage stays stressed. Speaking like that is the vocal equivalence of writing an official letter to a friend.
Be real. Peel off the layers of religiosity. Jesus didn’t speak in officious cadence. He socialised, was invited to dinner. The people touched him emotionally – from the common man in Ajegunle in Jerusalem, to political elites like Nicodemus, to crooked revenue agents like Zachaeus, to Mary and Martha with their sisterly squabbles, to the five-time divorcee at the well of Samaria. This officious third-party vocabulary is a separator. It’s play-acting. You take yourself too seriously! And you’re setting yourself up.
God loves real people. The only people Jesus had a problem with were the play-actors – those bl*ody Pharisees! Be real.

2-Chronicles_7-14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land
Today’s discourse is interesting but delicate. We ask God for our insatiable needs and forget that there is also a place for giving. There is a need to give to God and fellow men. When you give to God and His work on earth, you are equally giving to men and blessing lives.
Giving is an act of gratitude for all that God has done for you. One important thing you should always give to God is praise; God inhabits the praises of His people and His hands will be stretched forth to bless you more. You can also give to God’s work through your offerings, tithes, vows and heartfelt donations, knowing that God alone can give wealth that endures. Have you forgotten that there is nothing that you have or possess except by Him and through Him? Honour God with your substance, beloved.
There are many that become strangers to God, His work and His house once their prayers are answered. Do you ever think of giving something tangible to the ongoing project in your church? Do you ever think it is right to bless the Pastor that God is using to bless you? Have you ever considered it necessary to give to the needy and the less privileged? Can you share with people around you to bring smiles to their faces and put an end to lack and poverty in their lives? No matter your financial level, you can still give. You never know the gift that will open your heaven and pave way for your greatness.
When you give cheerfully, you increase but when you withhold, it leads to poverty. Many have given sacrificially to God and received opened doors of healing, breakthroughs, lifting and so on. Physical and spiritual stinginess leads nowhere. Give cheerfully and bountifully to God and expect the same and more (2 Corinthians 9:7-9). Don’t give out of constraint or give grudgingly. Don’t give left overs to God. What you give is what you receive! Give to God and be happy you did. Bless fellow men and God will multiply it back to you.
