For The Oath’s Sake.

2-Peter_1-4: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust

“And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.” Mathew 14:9

An oath is a solemn appeal to a deity or to some revered person or thing to witness one’s determination to speak the truth, to keep a promise etc.

You will notice from our text, Herod the king took an oath to give Herodias daughter who danced at his birthday whatever she asked for (v.7). Her mother who had a grudge against John the Baptist counselled the little girl and she unfortunately requested for the head of John the Baptist in a charger. This was because…

Is Masturbation A Sin?

Somebody just asked me, is masturbation a sin? There is no mention of it in the Holy Bible?

My Reply.

Is smoking a sin? Doing Drugs or Shooting up drugs is it a sin? Were they ever mentioned anywhere in the Holy Bible.

Anything that destroys your body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit is a sin.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Masturbation is a sin, because you cannot masturbate without calling up naked…
