1. And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites, which had brought him down thither.
2. And it turned out, GOD was with Joseph and things went very well with him. He ended up living in the home of his master.
3. His master recognized that GOD was with him, saw that GOD was working for good in everything he did.
4. He became very fond of Joseph and made him his personal aide. He put him in charge of all his personal affairs, turning everything over to him.
5. From that moment on, GOD blessed the home of the Egyptian -all because of Joseph. The blessing of GOD spread over everything he owned, at home and In the fields.
6. And all Potiphar had to concern himself with was eating three meals a day. Joseph was a strikingly handsome man.[MSB]
INSPIRATION;
(In our everyday lives and battles, the LORD goes with the faithful).
Joseph’s life had a dramatic downward spiral. He had gone from being the favoured son of a wealthy father to a slave in another land, serving in a foreigner’s household. He was being treated like commodity by his brothers, the traders, and his new boss. Yet, through all this, we are assured that GOD had not forgotten or given up on him. Twice we were told that “the LORD was with Joseph”(vs. 2-3). The blessings of GOD upon him was also highlighted in Genesis 39 vs. 3, 5).
Remember, GOD has not promised the followers of Jesus Christ an easy life.
Jesus made it clear that “if they persecuted me, they will persecute us also” (John 15:20).
But just like GOD promised Joseph, the LORD promises that HE will be with HIS people.
While GOD was blessing Joseph, Joseph remained a slave. He remained betrayed by his brothers. He remained exiled from home. And remained subservient to a master over even his own life. But Joseph boldly and fearlessly gave GOD the glory as the source of his success to the point where Potiphar observed that the LORD is with him. Just like Joseph, the LORD Jesus promises HE will be with us HIS people even in our troubling times. And that was HIS parting words with HIS disciples in Mathew’s Gospel were HE said “I am with you always to the end of age” (Mathew 28:20).
GOD is with us in our time of joy and suffering.
More importantly, HE even equip us with everything we need to accomplish HIS purposes and plans. The Psalmist also confessed that when he said “Even though I walk through the valley of Shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” (Psalm 23:4). As we discussed earlier for Joseph, things were going to get worse before they got better, but at last his stories were capped with mountain of testimonies, because GOD was with him throughout his troubling times.
Wait upon HIM, for you are next on the line to be blessed by the Almighty GOD.
Prayer for the day;
Thank GOD for another beautiful day in good health with blessings in anticipation, then turn Psalm 30 vs 5b and 11 into prayers, and also thank GOD for another prayer answered in Jesus Christ mighty name, Amen.

Ofe Onugbu also known as Bitter leaf soup, is a popular Nigerian soup. Ofe Onugbu is peculiar to the Igbo tribe of Eastern Nigeria. Ofe Onugbu does not taste bitter in the slightest. The leaves have to be thoroughly washed to get rid of the bitterness before it’s added to the soup.
Let’s cook!
Ingredients:
Assorted meats (Beef, goat meat, Ponmo, Shaki are ideal)
Palm oil
Bitter leaves (Fresh or Dried)
3-4 Medium Size Cocoyam (Ede)
2 Smoked Fish (Optional)
2-3 Stockfish (Optional)
Ground Crayfish
Ogiri
Ground Dry pepper or 2 Scotch Bonnet blended
Seasoning Cubes
Salt to taste
Preparation
Start by boiling your meats, start with the tougher meats like Cow leg and Shaki first. When they’re slightly tender, add beef or other softer meats. When all the meats are tender, add the Stockfish, leave to cook till soft
Do not add Curry or Thyme!
While the meats are boiling, boil the Cocoyam with the skin on. Do not add salt, boil till tender, this should take roughly 20 minutes on medium heat…
When they are soft, gently peel the skin off and pound till smooth in a mortar. Alternatively, chop them into small chunks and purée in your electric blender or food processor till smooth, then set aside…
Wash the Bitter leaves with hot water to get rid of as much bitterness as you can. There should be almost no hint of bitterness left in the leaves after washing.
If you find yourself struggling to get rid of the bitterness, simply boil the leaves with enough water for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
If you’re using dried Bitter leaves, you’ll need to soak in warm water to plump it up and also get rid of dirt…
When the Meats and Fish are all soft, add Crayfish, smoked Prawns, then add the ground or blended pepper. Stir and combine…
Add Palm oil, leave to thoroughly combine for 3-4 minutes….
Now, turn the heat done to low, add the blended Cocoyam into the stock in small dollops, be careful not to add too much. The consistency should be semi fluid….
The Cocoyam will dissolve; thickening the soul, leave to dissolve and combine for 2-3 minutes.
The thickness will depend on your preference. Ofe Onugbu is light and semi fluid though some role prefer it thick and creamy. I like mine somewhat in between.
Then add the Ogiri, stir and combine. Taste for seasoning and adjust if necessary…
Then add the washed Bitter Leaves, leave to cook for 2-3 minutes. Do not overcook your vegetables…

MESSAGE:
It is quite terrible that some people judge individuals who have made mistakes just so they can feel better about themselves. Their goal is to boost their self-esteem rather than admonish the people who made the mistake or bring them to Christ. The people who attempted to stone the adulterous woman in John 8:1-11 were just like this. They did not expect that Jesus would put the searchlight of righteousness on them; He humiliated them as they planned to humiliate her.
When we correct someone just to show how righteous we are, we are attacking their self-esteem, adding to the weight of guilt they already bear, and making it more difficult for them to come to Christ. God turns against people who condemn others to prove that they are righteous. When Jesus sees a fallen soldier in His army, He wants to help the fellow up. If He discovers that other soldiers are throwing stones at the fellow to kill him or her completely, He turns against those soldiers to defend the one who is wounded.
It is unfortunate that many Christians use their superiority complex to hand their own brothers and sisters over to the devil. For example, who is a young Christian girl supposed to turn to if she becomes pregnant out of wedlock? Fellow believers or unbelievers? In most cases, her church members might call her a prostitute and make her feel unwanted, while unbelievers may show her care and understanding. When soldiers are wounded, they need people to help them dress their wounds so they can stand up again. If the people they get help from are from the enemy’s camp, they may never return to their own camp again. This is why many backsliders keep going deeper into sin. They think that they will no longer find forgiveness and acceptance in the church, so they backslide completely. The Holy Spirit is still drawing them toward the church, but they are reluctant to go back out of the fear of being condemned by the people who should show love to them the most.
Beloved, if a fellow believer falls, don’t condemn the person. Don’t turn such a person into an object of gossip, rather, get other Christians together to pray and follow up on the fellow until he or she comes back to God. This was the testimony about Job in Job 4:3-4.
Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands. Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.
Action Point:
Show love to any believer you know that may require encouragement by calling or sending a message to say you will always be there for him or her.

Since 2021 Plateau State has known no peace till date, but before then Jos was the most peaceful city in Nigeria. Most NTA Soap Operas were shot in Jos.
While the town slept the enemy creeped in.
Now 17 dead, 120 trapped in Plateau school building collapse. 4 siblings dead, when the parent heard of it, both dead of shock. A whole family cleared!

INTRODUCTION:
Throughout the Bible, varied weather conditions are used to symbolize God’s power, communicate His intentions, and demonstrate His control over nature’s elements. As we pray, God will make the weather favourable.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, we thank You, for You are the God of times and seasons, our times and seasons are in your hands in Jesus’ name.
2. Father thank you for your mercy that has been sufficient concerning the weather conditions during our special programs in Jesus name. 1 Chro. 29:13.
3. Father, I thank You for giving us the wisdom to read the weather and interpret it accurately in Jesus name. Mat16:2
4. Father, thank You for giving man dominion over all that You created, in Jesus name Gen. 1:28.
5. Father, by the authority and dominion you have given to us, we command that the weather will favour your church always throughout this year in
Jesus’ name. Genesis.1:26.
6. Father, frustrate and disappoint every plan of the enemy to attack or afflict your children with bad weather in Jesus’ name. Isaiah.44:25, Job.5:12
7. We come against every form of flood disaster, tornado, tsunami, and earthquake etc. programmed against this year’s convention in Jesus’ name.
8. Father, no matter how unpredictable the weather maybe this year, we decree that the sun will not smite us by day nor the moon by night in Jesus’ name.

9. Father, we reject any form of destructive whirlwind before, during and after the convention in Jesus name.
10. Father, by your mercy, expose to us all the works of darkness to use the weather to frustrate this year Heaven conscious convention in Jesus name
11. Father; give us listening ears to your instructions so that we can gather safely and securely in Jesus name. Prov 1:33
12. Father, in your mercy, terminate every disaster that your judgement brought upon our nation in Jesus name. Isa 47:11
13. Father, we come against every merchant of darkness consulted to bring upon our gathering unplanned rain, fire outbreak and any form of disaster in Jesus name.
14. Father, let your fire consume all activities of darkness assigned to use weather element to prevent people from gathering at this year’s convention in Jesus name.
15. Father, just like the days of Joshua and Elijah we take absolute authority over all-weather situations as we gather in this year’s convention.
