Thank You Jesus! Whatever God Has Spoken Concerning Me Shall Come To Pass

Thank You Jesus! Whatever God Has Spoken Concerning Me Shall Come To Pass

Psalms_37-5: Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Psalms_37-5: Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

“For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn [. . .].”
Romans 11:29 (TLB)

It is refreshing to know that God will never withdraw His gifts and will not go back on His promises. This means that whatever God has spoken concerning you will come to pass. He is not about to change His mind concerning you.

You see, God is not like human beings. Humans can withdraw what they have given to you when they are upset with you. God is not limited by mortal reasons. Imagine that there is a man who has promised you business capital of N500,000 and gives you a date to pick up the cheque on. With what you know of the man, he has all that it takes to make good on his promise, but the day before you are to pick the cheque, you get news of his demise. No matter how much he desired to give you the money, his death brings the end of the promise-unless, of course, he documented his intentions in his will.

Think of how comforting it is for you to know that God’s gift and call will never be withdrawn. He will never go back on His promises. He cannot be killed or rendered impotent. Even if you have messed up, get up, claim the blood that is efficacious over your life, and go about your God-given assignment. God won’t withdraw His blessings; He knows your imperfections and desires to help you through everything. So don’t let where you have fallen become your graveyard. God is not through with you yet. He still has need of you.

Learn from your experiences and move on.

God Knows Me By My Name

God Knows Me By My Name

“To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.”
John 10:3 (KJV)

When we find ourselves in a crowd it is easy to think that we are just a number. You may discount yourself because you think you haven’t amounted to anything and no one knows you. You feel lonely because you think you are lost in the crowd. Beloved, that is a lie from the pit of hell. The scripture says that Jesus knows you by name. Think about that for a moment. Of the billions of people around the world today, God knows you by name. You are not just somebody; He knows your first, middle, and last name. He knows your location. He knows every single detail about you. He does not get you mixed up with others. Even the most identical twins are distinct people before Him. When He calls, He does not call in general; instead, He calls out to you specifically.

Take a moment to think about that again. Among the almost seven billion people in the world today, the Lord knows you by name. The Lord that upholds all things by the word of His power knows you by name. Does that grab you? Does it not make you go to sleep knowing that everything about you is covered? Stop worrying about things, because He will take care of you.

If He diligently takes care of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, how much more will He care of you, since you have been made in His image and likeness? If He takes care of the animals, why then do you think He would not take care of you, for whom Jesus died? Don’t let the devil mess with your mind and lie to you by telling you that God is too busy with more important things or people to think about you. That is a lie from the pit of hell. You are a significant individual to God. He loves you and cares about you.

So rest in His undying love.

Fear Not. Just Stand Still And Celebrate Your Victory

“And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.”
John 10:4 (KJV)

We fight battles orchestrated from the pit of hell on daily basis. So I have come to encourage you to be a brave no matter the battle you face: be it in your health, marital life, business, finances, ministry, etc. No battle you are currently facing has the capacity to destroy you. You are so precious to God that He takes care of your battle even before it begins.

God knows you by name. You are not just a number; you are an individual. Look at when Jesus called His disciples. There was not one He called whom He did not know. Jesus even knew Zacchaeus, who climbed a tree because he was short and wanted to see Jesus, not because he wanted Jesus to see him. Question: How did Jesus know someone was on top of the tree? This just goes to show that nothing about you is hid from Him. Not only did He know someone was on top of the tree, but He also called him by name. He did not say, “Young man”, as many of us will say today; rather, He said, “Zacchaeus”. Beloved, if the tax collector was known to Jesus, how much more so are you?

Can’t you see that today’s text tells us that He puts forth His own sheep and then goes before them? The sheep follow Him so that He first meets whatever battle or challenge that will later come to the sheep. Can you imagine that? Not only does He know you, but He also goes before you. He is indeed your shield. Therefore you are guaranteed total victory in all the battles you face. Fear not. Just stand still and celebrate your victory.

God Watches Over Me Jealously

God Watches Over Me Jealously

Isaiah_41-10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness

Isaiah_41-10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness

“But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.”

John 10:12-13 (KJV)

The hireling flees, because he is a hireling and cares not for the sheep.

We live in a world that is self-centred. It seems as if everyone needs to find out how to survive on their own. There are many who are even willing to sacrifice others for their own survival. Notice that when your life is in the hands of a hireling, when troubles come he will abandon you. Why? It is because you don’t belong to him. He is a hireling. Whatever relationship he has with you is formed from the benefit he is getting from looking after you. But when trouble strikes, he will not risk himself for your sake.

This situation is like when you have a caregiver for your children; when disaster strikes, perhaps it is a fire or a flood, the caregiver will momentarily forget your child and think of saving his own life. It is a natural reflex. Even on a plane you are told repeatedly in the case of an emergency to first secure yourself with an oxygen mask before helping a child. But thank God your Good Shepherd, Jesus, knows you belong to Him. So He will never jump ship during the storms in your life.

He is not threatened by the storms of life. The challenges of life do not get to Him. He is with you every step of the way, and you are a priority to Him. He is committed to you, so He will bring you out of every storm. No matter what you are facing, fear not. Put your life in His hands in full confidence that He knows just what to do. You belong to Him, and He watches over you jealously.

Every Promise Of God Can Be Taken To The Bank. If He Says Something, It Is Already Done

Every Promise Of God Can Be Taken To The Bank. If He Says Something, It Is Already Done

James_1-12-1: Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him

James_1-12-1: Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him

“And he said, Lord God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?”

Genesis 15:8 (KJV)

Human instincts set in when we have waited for the fulfilment of God’s promise and it seems as if God has lied. When the Lord first gave you the word, you danced and gave testimony. But as the days became weeks, and weeks became months, and months became years, you began to ask yourself if you truly heard God. Doubt sets in. You begin to analyse the prophecy and convince yourself that you probably misunderstood God.

Perhaps you have even done something to try to facilitate the prophecy-all in the name of helping god-yet nothing has happened. Then you conclude that the word will not come to pass. Beloved, that is a lie from the pit of hell. The God you serve cannot lie. Listen, it is not that He will not lie but that He cannot lie. It is absolutely impossible for Him to lie, and that is why it has been rightly said that God does not crack jokes. He means what He says and says what He means. Every promise of God can be taken to the bank. If He says something, it is already done.

Look at Abram. As a result of his mortality, he doubted whether the word of God would come to pass. So he asked God for a sign, and God made a covenant with him (Genesis 15:9-18). In other words, God was saying to Abram, “If I lie, I die.” And you know that God cannot die because He upholds all things by the word of His power. The very existence of the earth is proof that God cannot lie.

God made a covenant with Abram. Abram was actually the sleeping partner in the covenant even though he was the beneficiary. God used the covenant to show Abram once and for all that everything He said would come to pass. It was a guarantee to Abram that God’s promise would be fulfilled.

Today we have Jesus, the surety of a better covenant, so we know that all that God has promised you will surely come to pass.

Today, No Matter Where I Am, I Stand Boldly Before The Throne Of Grace Knowing That I Am Forgiven

Today, No Matter Where I Am, I Stand Boldly Before The Throne Of Grace Knowing That I Am Forgiven

Luke_6-37: Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven

Luke_6-37: Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven

“To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?”

1 Corinthians 5:5-6 (KJV)

Sin is so deadly that the devil effectively uses it to keep the believer in bondage. Sin humiliates, embarrasses, and destroys. It destroys the relationship between God and man. Sin robs a person of his confidence towards God and against Satan. Sin is like a blood red stain on a white cloth that screams at you. But thank God for the finished work of Calvary. Thank God for the blood that washes away every sin and allows us to stand boldly without blemish before God.

Child of God, the only hold the devil has on you is the hold of sin. That is why he will constantly remind you of your past. He knows that there is nothing else he can hold you down with. He knows that if he cannot mess with your mind he cannot get you. So he will constantly wield the power of condemnation. That is why Jesus came to disarm him. He came to be your righteousness. He took your place on the cross. He became sin so that you can be the righteousness of God in Christ. He took the full punishment. He was wounded for your transgression and bruised for your iniquities. All of your sins, past, present, and future, have been nailed to the cross. You stand before God discharged and acquitted; there is no chance for the devil to appeal. This is a deadly blow to the devil. He does not want you to realise this fact, so he constantly tries to hoodwink you. But today that hold is broken in Jesus’ name.

The truth is that as long as you see yourself as a sinner rather than the righteousness of God you will never fulfil God’s purpose. Jesus knew that we were helpless as long as Satan had his armour, so He paid the full price. Jesus took from the devil all he had used to hold man down with and He gave man liberty. Today, no matter where I am, I stand boldly before the throne of grace knowing that I am forgiven. And this completely disarms the devil and gives me victory.

Hallelujah! Satan has been disarmed (Colossians 2:13-15, TLB). Go about your business as if sin never existed.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

As this new year progresses, I am very confident that the work that the Lord has spoken concerning you will come to pass. There are no “ifs” about it in my spirit. I know in whom I believe and I am fully persuaded of that which He is set to do in your life.

Paul the Apostle, while writing to the church in Philippi, aptly said it in the scripture above; I am confident of the good work the Lord has started in you, and I know He will perfect it. I don’t know what area of your life you need the intervention of God in, but I know that whatever area it might be, God is not only able, He is also willing, and He will surely settle you. God is not a man to lie nor the son of man to repent. His word is so good, it is bankable, because it cannot fail.

Beloved, God’s mind is full of you. He delights in your prosperity. He wants to see you happy and excited, testifying about the faithfulness of God. So don’t allow the situations of the past to keep you bent, cowed, or in despair. Tell yourself that God is working it out and you will see everything turn around for your good.

Beloved, no matter what you are going through, I am confident that God will come through for you. He has not brought you this far to abandon you. He will perfect His work in your life to His glory alone.

I Remember When My Burdens Rolled Away

Psalms_55-22: Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalms_55-22: Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

I Remember When My Burdens Rolled Away
I Had Carried Them For Years,
Night And Day!
When I Sought The Blessed Lord,
And I Took Him At His Word,
Then At Once All My Burdens Rolled Away.

Rolled Away, Rolled Away, I Am Happy Since My Burdens Rolled Away;
Rolled Away, Rolled Away; I Am Happy Since My Burdens Rolled Away.

I Remember When My Burdens Rolled Away,
That I Feared Would Never Leave Night Or Day;
Jesus Showed To Me The Loss,
So I Left Them At The Cross;
I Was Glad When My Burdens Rolled Away.

I Remember When My Burdens Rolled Away,
That Had Hindered Me For Years, Night And Day;
As I Sought The Throne Of Grace,
Just A Glimpse Of Jesus’ Face,
And I Knew That My Burdens Could Not Stay.

I Am Singing Since My Burdens Rolled Away,
There’s A Song Within My Heart Night And Day;
I Am Living For My King, And With Joy I Shout And Sing,
Hallelujah! All My Burdens Rolled Away.
Amen!

Thank You Jesus!

Romans_6-14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Once I Fought To Conquer Sin
While It Reigned My Soul Within;
Till My Saviour Came One Day:
Then He Triumphed Over All
When He Heard My Pleading
Call
And He Took My Sins Away,

He Took My Sins Away,
Took Them All Away
Christ The Saviour Took My Sins Away
Contentment Fills My Soul
His Spirit Has Control,
Since Jesus Took My Sins Away.

O The Wonder Working Pow’r
In That Happy, Blessed Hour
When My Saviour Spoke To Me,
Arid I Heard The Precious Word
From This Wonder Working
Lord,
When From Sin He Set Me Free.

Are You Struggling For The Right,
Jesus Has The Power And Might;
He Will Help You Conquer Sin;
He Will Take Its Power Away,
He Will Come With You To Stay,
And Will Give You Peace Within.
Amen!

Mercy I Did Implore,

Love Lifted Me!

I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say
Come Unto Me And Rest:
Lay Down, Thou Weary One, Lay Down
Thy Head Upon My Breast,”
I Came To Jesus As I Was,
Weary And Worn And Sad;
I Found In Him A Resting Place,
And He Has Made Me Glad.

I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say,
“Behold I Freely Give
The Living Water; Thirsty One,
Stoop Down And Drink, And Live.”
I Came To Jesus And I Drank
Of That Life-Giving Stream;
My Thirst Was Quenched, My Soul Revived.
And Now I Live In Him.

I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say,
“I Am This Dark World’s Light;
Look Unto Me, Thy Morn Shall Rise,
And All Thy Day Be Bright”
I Looked To Jesus And I Found

I’ve Found A Friend; Oh Such A Friend!

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

I’ve Found A Friend; Oh Such A Friend!
He Loved Me Ere I Knew Him
He Drew Me With The Cords Of Love
And Thus He Bound Me To Him
And Round My Heart Still Closely Twine
Those Ties Which Naught Can Sever
For I Am His, And He Is Mine
Forever And Forever

I’ve Found A Friend; Oh Such A Friend!
He Bled, He Died To Save Me
And Not Alone The Gift Of Life
But His Own Self He Gave Me
Naught That I Have My Own I Call
I Hold It For The Giver
My Heart, My Strength, My Life
My All
Are His And His Forever

I’ve Found A Friend; Oh Such A Friend!
All Power To Him Is Given
To Guard Me On My Onward Course
And Bring Me Safe To Heaven
Eternal Glories Gleam Afar
To Nerve My Faint Endeavor;
So Now To Watch, To Work, To
War,
And Then To Rest For Ever.

I’ve Found A Friend; Oh, Such A
Friend!
So Kind. And True, And Tender!
So Wise A Counselor And
Guide,
So Mighty A Defender!
From Him Who Loves Me Now
So Well
What Power My Soul Shall Sever?
Shall Life, Or Death, Or Earth, Or Hell?
No! I Am His For Ever.

Thank You Jesus!

Far Away The Noise Of Strife

Psalms_50-15: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Psalms_50-15: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Far Away The Noise Of Strife
Upon Lay Ear Is Falling,
Then I Know The Sins Of Earth Be Set On Every Hand:
Doubts And Fear And Things Of
Earth In Vain To Me Are Calling,
None Of These Shall Move Me From Beulah Land.

I’m Living On The Mountain,
Underneath A Cloudless Sky,
I’m Drinking At The Fountain
That Never Shall Run Dry,
Oh, Yes! Pm Feasting On The
Manna From A Bountiful Supply,
For I Am Dwelling In Beulab Land.

Far Below The Storm Of Doubt
Upon The World Is Beating,
Sons Of Men In Battle Long
The Enemy Withstand;
Safe Am I Within The Castle Of
God’s Word Retreating;
Nothing Then Can Reach Me
‘Tis Beulha Land.

Let The Stormy Breezes Blow,
Their Cry Cannot Alarm Me,
I Am Safely Sheltered Here
Protected By God’s Hand;
Here The Sun Is Always Shining,
Here There’s Naught Can Harm
Me,
I Am Safe For Ever In Beulah Land.

Viewing Here The Works Of God,
I Sink In Contemplation,
Hearing Now His Blessed Voice,
I See The Way Is Planned:
Dwelling In The Spirit, Here I
Learn Of Full Salvation,
Gladly Will I Tarry In Beulah
Land. Amen!

Thank You Jesus!

God Loves Me In Spite Of My Failures And Shortcomings

God Loves Me In Spite Of My Failures And Shortcomings

Romans_8-35: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans_8-35: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath in us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

1 John 4:16 (KJV)

Irrespective of the challenges you may be facing, understand and believe that the love of God for you will always put you on top. Nothing can withstand or be greater than God’s love for you. Hear this: “Who, then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble do it, or hardship or persecution or hunger or poverty or danger or death? As the scripture says, ‘For your sake we are in danger of death at all times; we are treated like sheep that are going to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below-there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:35-39, GNT).

The scripture above is assurance that God’s love for us is greater and stronger than anything the devil can throw at us. God does not love us because of something that we have done or something that we possess. His love for us is the agape love; it is love not “because of” but “in spite of”. God loves you in spite of your failures and shortcomings. He loves you irrespective of your height and weight. He loves you no matter your age. He loves you so much that He had Jesus die in your stead so that you could come boldly to Him.

In view of the love that the Father has for you, you should go to bed without fear, knowing that we are covered in every way. You can rest assured that He has your back. Know this: we will always win in the fight of life, not because of our love for Him, but because of His love for us.

God’s Blessing Is Never Earned, Deserved, Or Merited

God’s Blessing Is Never Earned, Deserved, Or Merited

Proverbs_10-22: The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it

Proverbs_10-22: The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it

“So then they which be of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.”

Galatians 3:9 (KJV)

As long as you are struggling to earn, deserve, or merit the blessing of God, you will wait for the blessing for a very long time. God’s blessing is never earned, deserved, or merited. Blessings are received by grace. This is a fact I have been hammering home and I will not stop until every single believer gets it. You cannot earn God’s blessing; you simply receive it.

According to our text, if you accept that you are justified or made righteous by faith and not by your deeds you are blessed with faithful Abraham. In Romans 4:6, Abraham believed in God (and did not do right), and he was accounted for righteousness. Romans 4:5-6 says, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works” (KJV). So all you need to do is believe that the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus have made you righteous. And because of it you are in the company of the blessed and cannot be cursed.

When you realise that you are blessed by faith and not by works, life will stop being a struggle. You will go through life with clear knowledge of the fact that God is for you. You will walk with your shoulders high, and nothing will intimidate you. Then you will reign over the affairs of life here and now.

Don’t let the devil make you cower or deceive you in to thinking that God’s blessing is for everyone except you. There is no exception to the message of grace. Only the person who has refused to accept Jesus as the Lord and Saviour will be left out. The blood washes the worst sinner and the cleanest sinner. Did you read that carefully? I didn’t say the “cleanest saint”, but the “cleanest sinner”. Do you know why I wrote this? It is because all have sinned. So no matter how piously you try to live your life, you cannot enjoy the fullness that Jesus has made available to man unless you have already accepted Him as your personal Lord and Saviour. You can only be blessed by faith, so enjoy this new status today (2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 5:17).

The Power Of The Love That Keeps Me From Sin

The Power Of The Love That Keeps Me From Sin

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.”

Psalm 130:4 (KJV)

Contrary to popular and erroneous religious views, fear does not produce a new creation but faith in the Lord does. Over the years, there’s been the mistaken idea that it is God’s wrath, anger, and judgment on anyone who falls short of His righteous requirements that produces the fear of Him.

To fully understand and apply the Bible, you must know the dispensation that God was dealing with in its different accounts. God dealt with each dispensation differently. You cannot apply His dealings with those under the law as though they were under grace. God deals with the new creation under grace, so you cannot apply the law to it. The new creation enjoys the grace of God.

The text says that it is God’s forgiveness that causes us to fear (revere) Him. It is not His judgment. This sounds contradictory. I thought that you take people for granted when they easily forgive. I thought that it is the man with the cane who is feared and not the one with a heart of love. This situation is true in the natural; but when you understand true love, then you will understand the power of the love that keeps you from sin.

In John 8, a woman caught in adultery received forgiveness and was offered the gift of no condemnation from Jesus. I guarantee you that the woman left feeling deeply relieved, and she likely held the Lord in awe throughout her life. She obviously expected to be stoned to death. I imagine her kneeling with her eyes closed, waiting for the first stone to land on her head, only to hear the Master ask, “Where are thine accusers?” I am sure the woman had died several times in her head because she expected the stoning. But the love of God reached her, and she was totally forgiven. Being delivered from death that she deserved is something that she could not understand. This is grace. Let this grace envelope your life so that you will live in fear (reverence) of God, Amen!

Christ Nailed The Law To The Cross. He Freed Me From The Bondage Of The Law, And Where There Is No Law, There Is No Sin

Christ Nailed The Law To The Cross. He Freed Me From The Bondage Of The Law, And Where There Is No Law, There Is No Sin

Romans_8-2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans_8-2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

Romans 3:20 (KJV)

Notice that our text today very clearly states that no flesh shall be justified in the sight of God by the deeds of the law (the Ten Commandments and all other ordinances). Now, let us look at this matter from this standpoint: going by this scripture, everyone is condemned because all have sinned. The sin is not a function of what you did or did not do; it is a function of the fact that you were born. Inherent in you is the nature of sin, and once there is law, there will definitely be sin. And the cost of sin is death.

Notice also in this text that it is the law that gives us the knowledge that we are sinners. For the more we know of God’s laws, the clearer it becomes that we are not obeying them. His laws serve only to make us see that we are sinners. Thank God we are not left in that limbo since we see our way out in Romans 3:21-22. The righteousness of God without the law has now been manifested, as witnessed by the law and the prophets. The righteousness of God is given to all by faith because of Jesus Christ. God has now shown us a different way to heaven. It is not about “being good enough” and trying to keep His laws. Instead, God will accept and acquit us-He will declare us as “not guilty”, if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. We can all be saved in this same way: by coming to Christ no matter who we are or what we have done (Romans 3:21-22, TLB).

In other words, what did Jesus do? He nailed the law to the cross. He freed us from the bondage of the law, and where there is no law, there is no sin. Therefore we are born into a life where we must love God and do not need to live by any rules. The more you love God, the more pleasing you are to Him. And sin has no dominion over you, because you are not under the law. So stop struggling with the law; rather, accept your placement in Christ. Away with the law!

I Mess Up Every Now And Again, But God Still Loves Me

I Mess Up Every Now And Again, But God Still Loves Me

Ephesians_2-8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Ephesians_2-8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”

Romans 2:4 (KJV)

I believe that the time has come for God’s people to truly understand the heart of the Father. Unfortunately, a very misleading picture of God has been painted over the years, leaving the impression that our Father, God, is mad at His children and is watching us very closely to see if we make any mistakes so that He can pass judgment on us. This image has created are a very fearful, distant relationship between God and us. The truth is that we mess up every now and again, so we have a tendency of hiding from God, like Adam did in the garden.

Beloved, while God hates sin, He still loves us so much that He has extended His goodness to us. He will never withdraw His goodness because you have messed up. The scripture tells us that it is His goodness that leads us to repentance. It is not His judgment or His hammer knocking us on the head that leads us to repentance. Look out for His goodness and wrap yourself around Him when you mess up, because He is there to lead you out of your troubles.

Don’t get consumed in your errors; be consumed by His love. I have repeated this teaching over and over again because I realise that it is very hard for people to absorb. Think on it: God loves you in spite of you and is looking forwards to receiving you not when you do right, but right now.

I know that we have been taught over and over again that God’s wrath generates fear in order to keep us from sin. But that doctrine is not in the Bible. All we see in the Bible is His perfect love that casts out fear. Don’t get consumed with the lie of the devil. Stop expecting His wrath. Always expect His goodness. Then His goodness will not only come over you, but it will also overtake you in Jesus’s name.
