A
Muslim Boy’s Journey to Christ.

By
The Voice of the Martyrs Canada

Faith

Imagine
what it would be like if your decision to follow Jesus made you an outcast from
your family and even a target for death.

That’s
what happened to a man named Abdu. But the power of love broke down the
barriers and brought him and his family back together.

These
days Abdu and his father, Suleman, spend time praying and studying the Bible
together. Some might call that a miracle since the two did not speak for nearly
20 years.

In
fact, Abdu’s father once tried to kill him. Why? Because at the age of 16 he
decided to leave Islam and follow Jesus.

An
Unexpected Visit

The
young man’s journey of faith began with an unexpected visit.

“I
was sleeping and Jesus woke me up, and it was like a dream or revelation,”
Abdu recalled.

Abdu
gave his life to Christ after reading from a borrowed Bible. His decision made
his family angry because in their Muslim community, leaving Islam brings
disgrace.

“We
didn’t know what kind of belief he brought,” Suleman said. “We were
fundamentalist Muslims and were very upset. That is why we were against
him.”

“Our
neighbors also told us he brought a foreign religion here which is not good,
and they said, ‘Attack him and don’t accept him,'” he said.

His
mother, Semira, was also very upset when she learned her son became a
Christian.

“I
had deep, deep sorrow in my heart because I thought I had lost my boy,”
she said. “I thought we can’t even be buried together when our days are
over. It was a big sorrow at that time.”

Village
leaders tried to intimidate Abdu by ordering a gang of young men to attack him.

“As
I was walking to school, they met me on the road and they beat me very badly
with a rope and made me suffer,” Abdu recalled. “They [asked] me, if
this was my final decision. If I continued to be a Christian, they said they
would take the full measure and would kill [me].”

Still,
Abdu refused to renounce Jesus, and his father became so angry that he tried to
kill him.

“We
chased him out from our home because we didn’t want to be against our
neighbors. He brought different things [here] so we chased him out and he went
to another village,” Suleman said.

During
his years in exile from his family, Abdu worked at a church as a security guard
and grew stronger in his faith. He read more than 100 Christian books and began
discipline other former Muslims who had come to Jesus.

Thawing
Hearts

But
Abdu’s mother missed him terribly, and after many years of separation, she
slipped away to visit her son.

“During
the six years, I had heard that he wasn’t drinking alcohol and doing bad
things,” she said. “But the boys who were his friends here were doing
those things, so I decided to see him secretly.”

Impressed
by the changes in her son’s life, Semira began to consider Christ. However, it
took 10 years before she too would leave Islam to follow Jesus.

“I
believed that the faith of my son was true and correct, but now I had a big
problem with my husband,” Semira said. “But I still decided to follow
Jesus and tried to bring [my husband] to Christ. We showed big love to him and
big changes in our character. This influenced him.”

About
a year later, Suleman’s heart softened under the influence of God’s big love.
Now, he and the rest of his family, about 40 of them, are all Christians.

A
hut on the family property is now a place of worship to the Lord and for
hearing the Gospel.

“I’m
very happy that my family has come to Jesus,” Abdu said. “But the
biggest thing that makes me excited is that near the home [where] I grew up is
a place being used as a church. People are coming and praying and giving their
lives to Christ!”

A
Missionary to Muslims

Abdu
is now a missionary to Muslims in areas that are hostile to the Gospel.

With
help from the Voice of the Martyrs Canada and Scotland, Abdu oversees a
tentmakers’ project for six other former Muslims who are sharing their faith.

“Our
way of bringing people to Christ is not only telling them the Bible, but we
show them big love and share our things with them and also show them the good
life we have in Christ,” Abdu said.

That
approach has been very effective, with thousands of former Muslims responding
to the Gospel.

As
for Suleman, while he and his family are persecuted for the faith, he said he’s
not about to return to Islam and he looks forward to eternity with the Lord.

“The
fundamentalists can do the worst they can to us,” Suleman said. “The
last option for them is to kill us. We don’t mind if they kill us because some
believers will bury us.”

“For
us, it is better with Christ than to live in the community without
Christ,” he said. “We don’t feel fear. These days for us are not a
threat.”

May
GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His
face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance
upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

May
the grace the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the
Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen!

The Wrestling Match

The Wrestling Match By www.girlfriendsingod.com

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. – (Ephesians 6:10-12, NIV)

It was the end of the school year.  The sun was blazing in the sweltering high 80s with not a hint of shade to be found on the treeless playground.  The boys were stinky from their sweaty schoolyard endeavors and the girls were now wilted versions of the fresh flowers they had been that morning.  It was almost time for the big wrestling competition.  Electric excitement lingered in the air.  I was a fifth grader at West Hempfield Elementary School in Irwin, Pennsylvania and I had signed up to participate in the wrestling match.

To this day, I’m somewhat amused and perplexed that I would’ve thrown myself into the middle of such a barbaric display.  Wrestling certainly wasn’t my sport of choice, or even a faint interest of mine.  So, as we all gathered around the red and white striped gymnasium mats for the annual, end-of-the year wrestling tournament, I was sweating bullets…not just from the relentless, yellow ball of heat in the sky, but also from the nerves that consumed my body.

Before the match even began, I was a captive to the bully in my brain.  What do you think you are doing?  This is ridiculous!  Caroline is not only three inches taller than you, but she’s meaner than you, and she’s in the sixth grade!  You are going down, Gwen.  Prepare to be humiliated in front of every fourth, fifth and sixth grader in the school.

At the sound of the whistle, the match was on. Caroline and I danced around like two alley cats with their backs raised high. She had a confidence in her eye that was foreign to me at that moment. A series of unskilled and ungraceful moves followed. (Cringe with me here!) She lunged and I retreated. I lunged and she retreated. Then came contact.  Within seconds we were on our hands and knees battling for control. Battling for the win.

The sounds of the crowd were deafening as Caroline moved in to get the better of me. All I could think was, Just DON’T let her get you on your back! Feelings of hopelessness and desperation flooded my heart as she and I exchanged move for move. There were several points allotted and several restarts from Mr. Gordon’s whistle.  In the midst of this primitive battle, my goal had changed from trying to win to just trying NOT to be pinned…therein lies the defeat.

As the match came to an end and the final whistle blew, it was Caroline’s victorious arm that was raised high in the sky.  I was defeated in front of half the school.  Cheers went up for Caroline as I shrunk back into the sea of students, longing for super powers that would render me invisible.  I was exhausted from the match, humiliated from my failure, and defeated by both Caroline and my own mind.

That was a dark day for me as a young girl.  But as dark as that day was emotionally, I was able to clearly see my opponent.  Ladies, when it comes to spiritual wrestling matches, we do not have the advantage of sight.  The Bible says: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”  (Ephesians 6:12, NIV)

Many of the battles we contend with each day are spiritual.  We can’t see our enemy.  And while at first glance this may seem disarming, look again at Ephesians 6.  The Bible clearly tells us that we can be equipped to stand firm with the Armor of God!

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” (Ephesians 6:13-18, NIV)

Though the wrestling match with Caroline seemed overwhelmingly daunting, the battles that I face now are so much greater.  I’m thankful that God’s word clearly says the victory is ours if we are in Christ. If God is for us, who can be against us?

What are you wrestling with today?  Is the enemy speaking lies to you?  Do you feel weak?  Strength comes when we call on Jesus!  We can stand firm against the schemes of the devil when we put on the armor of God!   Suit up girls…a battle is going on all around you.   Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power!

Let’s Pray

Dear Lord, I thank You for being a Mighty God Who longs to cover my weakness with Your strength.  Please equip me for all that lies ahead today, protect me from attacks and schemes of the enemy, and help me to be strong in Your mighty power.  Cover me with Your peace, truth, faith, and salvation so I can stand firm in the battle.

I ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, amen.

A Way with Words by Kay Campbell

I didn’t even have a ticket when I arrived at my first Women of Faith event in Hartford last year.  I had decided to attend at the very last minute.  I didn’t know anyone there and certainly didn’t know what to expect.

God knew, though.  A multi-sensory spiritual pep rally was in store, complete with soul-stirring worship and heartwarming stories.  In an arena filled with tens of thousands of women, I heard God whispering in my ear and reigniting my passion for writing.

I’ve always loved words-from the time I was a little girl and my father taught me a new word every night when he tucked me into bed.  Now, four decades later, God was reminding me of that love through Women of Faith.

As I experienced the event, descriptive phrases were rolling through my mind like ticker tape:  the litany of lyrics weaving a melodious tapestry; the gifted speakers painting vivid word pictures; the enticing stacks of books inviting me to learn not only about God but also about myself.

When I returned home that evening, I dusted off my journal and began to write letters to God again.  Since then, I’ve written several inspirational stories, one of which was recently published by Guideposts.  I even had the memorable experience of meeting a very special lady whose life was changed by reading my article.

It is my dream to share my stories about faith and hope with others.  I know the Author of life has a plan for me and I want to thank Women of Faith for adding an exclamation point to my journey!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

GOD Is Able. The Redeemed Evangelical Mission

GOD Is Able. The Redeemed Evangelical Mission.

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Romans 4:21

We all must realize that God is always able. He has the ability, He has the dynamic power. What He has promised, He is able to perform. Even if it was not there God can create it because His word cannot fall to the ground. Even when there is no one to speak for you God will put somebody in place, just to speak for your interest and on your behalf. Abraham was fully persuaded saying “It is not up to me, it is up to Him. For me, my hope is already lost. I didn’t say it, I didn’t initiate it, it was not my idea but God’s idea and He is God; if He is God, all things are possible with Him” When you function that way, the next verse is automatic. Romans 4:23 says “it was imputed unto him for righteousness

God was saying, Abraham, bring out your report because I am the final umpire, Abraham you have passed. God wants his children to be a demonstration of His kingdom to the world. If we obey His word, God shows us forth as signs and wonders on earth. That is why you must not function the way others function no! “The just shall live by faith”. The just shall live by the word of God because the word makes you into what God said and what God said pleases God.

Naturally when you come home with a good result to your parents, you make them happy. That is how God is saying my son, daughter, make me happy. I have already spoken about you. Dare you believe His word and leave the fulfilment to Him for He is more than able. I see you coming back with the ‘spoils’ of the battle, laughing at the devil. It is not up to you to do it, No! your part is to act in faith and obedience. God’s part is to fulfil. He is able to do all things. It doesn’t have to be the normal way. We are spiritual people, God still does the super-natural. The life of Jesus and His Apostles was filled with the supernatural. May God show up for you in every situation because He is able! Amen!!

2 Kings 17. Assyria conquers Israel

1 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years. 2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him. 3 Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents. 4 And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison. 5 Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years. 6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

7 For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods, 8 And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. 9 And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city. 10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: 11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger: 12 For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. 13 Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets. 14 Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God. 15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them. 16 And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. 17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. 18 Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only. 19 Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. 20 And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight. 21 For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin. 22 For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them; 23 Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.

24 And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof. 25 And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them. 26 Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land. 27 Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land. 28 Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD. 29 Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt. 30 And the men of Babylon made Succothbenoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima, 31 And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. 32 So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. 33 They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence. 34 Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel; 35 With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them: 36 But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice. 37 And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods. 38 And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods. 39 But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies. 40 Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner. 41 So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

May the grace the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen!

Mark 2. Jesus Heals a Paralysed Man

(Show chapter frame)

1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. 2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. 3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. 6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? 8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? 9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? 10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) 11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

13 And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them. 14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him. 15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. 16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? 17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not? 19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast. 20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. 21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse. 22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles. 23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. 24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? 25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? 26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the showbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? 27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

When we rest in the Lord

When
we rest in the Lord

Don’t
Sweat It, Rest!

Ruth
3:18

18Then
she said, “Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will turn out;
for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.”

God
does not want you to “sweat”. Sweat here does not refer to your body’s
perspiration, but your self-reliance or self-effort. God does not want you to
believe that if you don’t do anything, nothing will happen. That may be true
for someone without God in his life, but it is not true for you because you
have God. And when He is in the picture, the God-factor changes everything!

When
you are resting in God, He works for you. In fact, when He works, you end up
with more. He is the one who is giving to you. It is not about you trying to
give to yourself.

This
was what happened to Ruth in the Old Testament. After laboring in the barley
fields from morning to evening, she was able to glean one ephah of barley (Ruth
2:17), which was equivalent to a 10-day supply of barley. Certainly, this
amount was a blessing to her.

But
when she rested at the feet of Boaz, her kinsman-redeemer, and did not labor,
she received six ephahs of barley (Ruth 3:15), which was equivalent to a 60-day
supply! When Ruth sought her own blessing, she obtained only one ephah. But
when she sought the blesser, she received much more.

Ruth’s
blessings did not stop there. While Ruth rested and sat still as her
mother-in-law Naomi had instructed, Boaz, who was the owner of the barley
field, went to work, initiating actions, executing them and speaking on Ruth’s
behalf. Right through it all, Ruth sat still and rested. Eventually, Boaz, the
barley man himself, married Ruth. (Ruth 4) That meant no more measured wealth
of six ephahs, but the yield of the whole barley field in total!

Boaz
is a picture of Jesus, our heavenly kinsman-redeemer. When we rest in the Lord,
He will not rest. He will work on our behalf. What do we do then? We just trust
in and enjoy His love for us.

Beloved,
stop striving and be at rest. If salvation, the greatest work, comes to us by
resting in Jesus’ finished work, how much more will all the other blessings?

May GOD bless Nigeria, America
and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be
gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us
peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

May the grace the Lord Jesus
Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you
all. Amen!

Amen!!

Mark 2. Jesus Heals a Paralysed Man

RCCG Crossover Night Service “Preparing For A Year of Signs and Wonders” A Sermon by Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Daddy G O “Your 2013 will be better than 2012”- Pastor E A Adeboye

To experience signs and wonders in the year 2013, you must:

1)      Start praising and worshipping God more than ever before.

Psalm 18:1-3. In Psalm 89:1 David said “I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” In 2013 those who learn to praise God can get ready for signs and wonders. You can pray , study God’s word and meditate on it quietly but it is impossible to praise God quietly. You cannot sing or testify of God’s goodness with your mouth closed. Occasionally some people say “God knows I’m grateful , He sees my heart” but this is not right. If you read through the book of revelation, there is nowhere the bible says “I see your heart”, it says “I know your works”. Praising God part of the works, it shows how grateful you are. Don’t wait for the pastor to tell you to praise God before you do, learn to praise God this new year!

2) Put God first.

In 1Kings 17:8-16, Elijah said to the widow to put Him first, she put God first and experienced signs and wonders. Proverbs 3:9-10 says “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” Don’t let anybody deceive you, God is not in need! God is so rich that the roads in His city are made of gold. Pay your tithe and watch Him open the windows of heaven upon of your life, honour Him with your first fruits so you can experience signs and wonders. Many people will borrow money to throw a banquet if the general overseer decides to come pay them a visit at home but they cannot borrow money to do things for God. The general overseer can pray for you but only God can answer that prayer, the general overseer can see some visions but God knows all about you, when you are in trouble the general overseer might be asleep but God never slumbers or sleep so learn to put God first this coming year.

3) Learn not to keep quiet, tell God your needs.

2Kings 2:19-22. In the coming year, don’t pretend to God, tell Him exactly how things are and He will help you. In 2Kings 4:1-7, the widow pretended all was well even though she was in debts, until she ran to Elisha for help nothing was done. When she cried for help, her problem was solved.

As you cry and pray to God in the coming year, make sure you are ready to obey. The widow’s problem wouldn’t have been solved if she decided to disobey the prophet.

You must witness, win souls, follow them up until they become established. John 15:16 says “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

4) Control your joy. Ask God and make your request to Him till your joy is full.

John 16:24 says . In the coming year, pray until your joy is full, hold on to God, don’t go looking for alternatives.

Pick a man of God and addict yourself to blessing him. When you addict yourself to blessing a true man of God, one day, the God of that pastor will bless you in return.

5) Control your weather.

1Kings 17:1 Elijah said “As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” The power to control the weather belongs to the one who will spend time before God.

You can control the situation of things in your life, your spiritual weather, financial weather and physical weather if you put God in His rightful place. In the coming year, spend time before God. When you do that, He will renew your strength. Isaiah 40:31 says “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

You gain more strength waiting on the Lord than taking vitamin pills.

It is one thing to enter into the new year, it is another thing to have a new beginning. There are many people who have moved from one year to another carrying the same problem, frustration and struggles. The man at the pool of Bethesda had seen 38 new years at the same spot with the same problem, he had no new beginning until he had an encounter with God (John 5:1-16). To experience a new beginning of joy, peace, progress, blessings, anointing, and closer work with God in the new year 2013, stop pretending to be a Christian, be born-again inside and outside. Surrender your life completely to God and be ready to obey His words completely.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Proverbs 18. The Name of the LORD is a strong tower.

Proverbs 18. The Name of the LORD is a strong tower.

(Show chapter frame)

1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.

2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

3 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.

4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

6 A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. 7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.

10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.

12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.

13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.

16 A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

17 He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.

18 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.

19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.

20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

23 The poor useth entreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.

24 A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Amen!
