Your Marriage Is In Serious Trouble If Your Spouse Uses These 6 Sentences.

Ephesians_5-25: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it

Relationships can be extremely difficult; and unfortunately, by the time we realize things are bad, it is sometimes too late. Small things start to creep in, until you and your spouse are co-existing rather than being lovers. You both become a little selfish, and as the relationship starts to crumble, you can’t understand why. You may not even notice it until you are past the point of returning to a happy relationship.
If your spouse uses any of the following, it could be a sign there are problems in your marriage. Please remember, none of these behaviors imply the relationship is broken. If you both have even the smallest bit of love and determination to fix things, there is hope.

You’re Overreacting.

In the right context, this harmless sentence indicates he has lost empathy for you. When you express that you’re tired, or that you’ve had a long day, how does he react? If he no longer listens, or he tells you you’re overreacting, it’s time to sit down and talk about it. Showing gratitude – and empathy when needed — for what each of you do for the other and for your children is essential for a unified marriage.

I’m Not Interested.

If your husband is “no longer interested” in being with you, or in the things that are most important to you, it’s one of the first signs your relationship is heading toward divorce. You must be the most important thing in the life of your husband, and vice versa. If he says he is no longer interested in something that was once important to you both, even if the phrase is just part of a discussion you are having, it needs addressing.

If You Had Done What I Said, I Wouldn’t Have To Scream At You.

Your husband should never lift his voice at you — and especially not because you “didn’t do something he told you to do.” Yelling at someone happens because of a lost connection. This is a line you and your husband should never cross. Mutual respect is a key ingredient in any human relationship. Shouting — unless the person cannot physically hear you otherwise — can never be justified.

I don’t want to talk about it.

Physical affection and communicating feelings between married couples are the two factors that differentiate us from other species. We are rational beings who think and then act.
When your husband won’t communicate and avoids talking about conflicts within your marriage, it paralyzes growth in your relationship. Find the right time, and with gentleness and patience create a healthy environment where you can both talk.

I don’t have to tell you where I was.

You should not be the jailer of your husband, and he shouldn’t be yours; but phrases like this imply secrecy or lack of respect.
Even when you’re married, you need independence. You need to be able to breathe freely; but telling your wife where you were is not losing that freedom. In such situations it is important to talk to your husband as many times as it takes. This helps you both continue to rely on each other.

I wish I’d never met you.

This is probably the most devastating phrase anyone can hear. Feeling guilty for any bad thing that has happened to him since the day he met you is a burden no one likes to carry. This phrase is usually used in a heated conversation, but it should never be taken lightly. Most people who use this phrase don’t really believe you are to blame for everything bad in their life; they just use it to hurt you.
The most important thing in a marriage is to establish the rule that whatever happens, and even if love ends, you will always show respect — respect for your spouse and respect for yourself.

Who You Are.

John_3-5: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” John 3:3

A man by the name Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews was so astonished at the miracles of Jesus and so came to find out from Him what he needed to do to get the type of results Jesus was getting. This is very typical of today’s Christianity.

We always believe we must do something in order to be approved by God when we should accept and celebrate what Jesus had already accomplished for us. Jesus corrected him from our text today and made him know that it is not about “DOING” but rather about “BEING”. It is about who we are. It is “except a man be”. Remember our own righteousness are like filthy rags before God. There is nothing you do that can qualify you before God. You have to “become”, first, in order to qualify, to “do”.

Do you know that no matter how in the natural you fast, pray, lobby to become royalty, it cannot happen, why? It is because you do not do anything to become royal; you are born royalty. Those who are Prince and Princess did nothing to become one. They were born that way. That is what the New Birth is all about. The New birth enables you to be born into the family of God and as a result qualify to automatically enjoy all the benefits.

If you are born again, then you are a child of the King of kings. Welcome to royalty.

God Does Not Fail.

Revelation_4-11: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created

“God also bound Himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that He would never change His mind.” Hebrews 6:17 (NLT)

 
The question is always asked about how we can be sure that God will come through for us. The reason is because many times the men and women that we depend on fail us and situations sometimes do not work out the way we projected. You may have had some disappointment in life, goals unrealized and ambitions not attained. Welcome to real life.
Things happen in life that overwhelm and confuse us. The only thing that does not have margin for failure is the word of God. The only person that does not fail is God. Do you know what? God and His word are one Psalm 118:8. It is better to trust in God than man. It is impossible for God to lie. His word will always come through in our lives.

Today’s text tells us that in order to give us assurance, courage, strength and peace, He bound Himself with an oath that He will come through for us. This oath is meant to give you all the assurance you need. Has God said something to you lately that seems not to be happening, hang on to it with every fiber of your being; it is only a matter of time.
Delay is not denial, though it tarries, wait for it, it shall surely, without fail, come to pass.

Start celebrating now!

Keep Doing Good.

Galatians_6-9: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not

“Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:” Romans 2:6-7

It is so easy to quit in a world where evil is being redefined and glamourised. A world where everyone around you is being rewarded for doing evil and you seem to be the odd man out. Not only are you the odd man out, you are been blacklisted for doing good. People want to intimidate you and get you to compromise your stand.

It can get so bad to the point where you are never appreciated; those who talk the talk and never walk the walk surround you. I want you to know that God knows who you are and also sees where you are. Your labour of love is never in vain. Don’t be weary in well doing; whenever the opportunity arises, do what is right.

Yes, you may be tempted to give up, thinking that people are taking advantage of you, calling you a fool. But I have come to assure you that God does not see it that way. He is the Paymaster and He is keeping accurate records. Don’t get discouraged. Do you know how many souls have been saved because of the light shining through you? You are an epistle to the world. They are reading you, be encouraged, your reward is around the corner. Don’t give up; don’t join the crowd. Stand out and remain the light just where God has planted you, I promise you that you will reap a rich reward if you do not faint, lose heart or give up

Spirit Man. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye.

Memorise: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. – John 4:24

Read: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (KJV)

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Bible in One Year: Isaiah 8-10, Psalms 32

MESSAGE:

If you want to do great exploits for God you have to rise above your carnal mind because no serious exploit can be done in the flesh. One of the things responsible for the miraculous events in the early church is that everything was done in atmosphere of God’s Spirit. This is why we need to thirst for more of His presence in our midst if we want an outpouring of His spiritual blessings. It takes the Spirit of God for one to have access to deeper revelations of God.

“For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” – Ephesians 2:18

Anyone who wants to experience and encounter the glorious presence of God must be ready to let go of the flesh and allow the Spirit of God, which is the Spirit of Truth to take over. The carnal man is manipulated by his emotions and thinking. The carnal man is vulnerable to lust. The carnal man cannot understand the things of the Spirit. The carnal man is always a victim of strife and questionable actions. The carnal man will always be found in questionable environments and circumstances, but the man who allows the Spirit of God to dwell in him will always be sensitive to the leading of the spirit.

To effectively deal with the problem of carnality, wisdom demands you take it from the root. A tree that is cut down but not uprooted will grow again; it is only a matter of time. The only time you can be assured of permanent victory over the flesh is when you uproot the carnal man from its root. The moment you turn on the light, darkness automatically ceases. There is a need for you to turn on the Spirit man, who is nourished through a life of holiness and consecration to the Almighty God. As long as the Spirit is in charge, you cannot be defeated. You remain a champion and everything that is not of God will keep its distance from you, but the moment you give the carnal man a little attention, it begins to take over again. The best way to deal with the carnal man is to flee from every appearance of evil. One of my spiritual sons once told me that anytime it is Friday, he was always looking forward to the weekend being over because he wanted to be in the office on Monday. He was always looking forward to Monday mornings because of his secretary in the office whom he had grown fond of. I told him he was playing with a cobra in his bed and at anytime, the cobra could bite him. I asked him to kill the cobra once and for all by sacking the secretary that was unknown to him, feeding his flesh to destruction. Out of wisdom, he heeded my counsel and sacked his secretary, who in turn verbally insulted him and all those who had advised him. After she left, my son found peace in his spirit. Anything done with carnal mind will always bring problem and fear, but where the Spirit of God is, there is liberty and rest of mind. Are you toying with sin? Repent and come to Jesus for restoration. Are you in the company of those who will feed your flesh? Return to Jesus, His grace will overcome the works of the devil. Obey His Word, walk closely with Him and you will see yourself exercising victory over your weaknesses.

Prayer Point: Father, mortify every deed of the flesh in my life in Jesus’ name.

Bible Heroes Who Doubted God.

Proverbs_30-5: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.” Matthew 28: 17

 
I have a confession to make.
After being a Christian for over 16 years, going through battles over battles, there were times I have doubted God.
Especially those moments when I needed GOD the most but I can’t feel His presence.
I cried out loud and it feels like He turned deaf ear.
Sometimes I wonder “Lord, are you still there?”
“Am I still in Your son Jesus Christ?”
Yes.

I doubted God many times.

 
But what I realized is this, those moments were and are growth pains.
I believe we all go through that “doubting moment” one way or another.

 
Gideon doubted God.
Thomas doubted God.
Sarah and Abraham laughed at God’s promise.

 
But in the end they all transformed from “doubting” to “believing.”

 
That’s right.

Those experiences of doubt usually lead to a deeper faith.

 
Another way to develop deeper faith in God is through scripture memorization and meditation.

 
My wife and I truly believe in the life transforming power of memorizing scriptures.
Being troubled is a common human state. And doubting the path we are on, or at least the path we have found ourselves on, is so natural and normal. We really do not trust God as much as we are told we should. Then finally the truth bares itself: we are eventually led to a good place as we continually repel the desire to turn back because of our doubting.

 
Our thinking is a forwards-backwards land of operations in the cognitive realm.
Doubting becomes us, and generally at the least helpful at times. But doubting has a role in testing the tenacity of our willingness to go on; to continue on the path we feel we must choose to follow. Perhaps God inflects our doubting in such a way as to force us to reconsider our underpinning motives.

 
Doubting is reason enough to review what we are about. Are we serious?
In this way, we can see the valuable role that doubting plays. It’s as if God was saying, “Are you really serious about this, and, if so, how serious are you?”

 
There is almost a sense of compulsion that should lead us to recommit to the journey God has placed us on. On this very track that is our destiny, God gives us ample opportunity to choose for it or not. It’s our life and God wants us to own it. God gives us plenty of opportunity to choose for it, to plan past regret, and to right the wrongs we make of it.

 
Glory to God that we are given millions of opportunities to turn back.
The truth is the path leads somewhere; not just anywhere, but somewhere.
And faith it is that leads us to that place.

BURNING WITH PURPOSE AND INTENTION.

Like the launch of a space shuttle – a series of projects and operations so intricately planned – we are on the countdown of our lives. When we see life as a journey toward a destination – to reach somewhere – Heaven! We have purpose about us and the intention is focused. As the engines propelling us on our way rev up, they push us through the doubting, as if doubting were a sound barrier, as we continually monitor the status of our ship on every step of the journey.

 
Life is a journey and we gather purpose by the intention to travel.

 
There is no purpose in not traveling. But when we are committed to traveling, even on the bumpiest of rides, when doubting is stricken with threat, we have enough intention to blast through the doubting.

 
Recently, I read an inspiring story and I want to share it to you Friends:

 
A young pilot had just passed the point of no return when the weather changed for the worse. Visibility dropped to a matter of feet as fog descended to the earth.

 
Putting total trust in the cockpit instruments was a new experience to him, for the ink was still wet on the certificate verifying that he was qualified for instrument flying.

 
The landing worried him the most. His destination was a crowded metropolitan airport he wasn’t familiar with.

 
In a few minutes he would be in radio contact with the tower. Until then, he was alone with his thoughts.

 
His instructor had practically forced him to memorize the rulebook. He didn’t care for it at the time, but now he was thankful.

 
Finally he heard the voice of the air traffic controller. “I’m going to put you on a holding pattern,” the controller radioed. Great! thought the pilot.

 
However, he knew that his safe landing was in the hands of this person. He had to draw upon his previous instructions and training, and trust the voice of an air traffic controller he couldn’t see.

 
Aware that this was no time for pride, he informed the controller, “This is not a seasoned pro up here. I would appreciate any help you could give me.”
“You’ve got it!” he heard back.

 
For the next 45 minutes, the controller gently guided the pilot through the blinding fog.
As course and altitude corrections came periodically, the young pilot realized the controller was guiding him around obstacles and away from potential collisions.
With the words of the rulebook firmly placed in his mind, and with the gentle voice of the controller, he landed safely at last.

 
The Holy Spirit guides us through the maze of life much like that air traffic controller.
The controller assumed that the young pilot understood the instructions of the flight manual. His guidance was based on that.

 
Such is the case with the Holy Spirit: He can guide us if we have knowledge of God’s Word and His Will established in our minds.

 
So don’t ignore the power of scripture memorization.

 
This discipline alone can lead you to greater heights of your faith in God. And there’s no better time to begin memorizing Bible verses but today.
