Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died
On Calvary.

Mercy there was great and grace was free,
Pardon there was multiplied to me,
There my burdened soul found liberty—
At Calvary.

By God’s Word at last my sin I learned—

Fasting, Sex And Love Making.

Ephesians_5-25: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it

Please I want to ask you this, is it good to fast after having sex with your spouse?
Thank You!

My Reply!
Sex or love making is energy sapping; one needs to recover from such intimacy before embarking on such spiritual exercise as fasting.

You must have a mutual agreement with your husband or wife, concerning the fast.

Fasting is not only abstaining from food and drink for a while. It also includes abstaining from every pleasure like sex for the given period.

First discuss with your spouse, if you just had sex, start the next day.
Also read 1 Corinthians 7:1-5, most especially verse 5.

1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

God’s Love.

Romans_6-14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”
Romans 6:1 (KJV)

Today, I thought it necessary to balance the message of grace so you do not run off saying you have been forgiven and therefore can indulge freely in sin. The best way to explain the grace of God is to take a look at the love of God. Let us take a look at this example. If you as a child know that your Daddy loves you very much, is always there for you; takes you to school, attends several extra curricula activities like sports with you, is always ready to assist you with your assignment and everything you come to him with. As a child, you know that you will reciprocate by loving him and as a result of your love for your Daddy, there are some things you will not do; not because he said you must not do it, but because you love him too much to hurt him. I am sure you can identify with that. There are some things that may not be wrong out rightly, but because you are not sure of your Daddy’s disposition towards those things, you would most likely rather hold on and find out his opinion first, just because you do not want to hurt him.

That is the same thing with a believer. When you understand the love of God, you do not want to upset Him. You do not want to do anything that will make the devil mock Him. You want to be the son or daughter that He will be proud of. That is what God expects of us. Take time to think of the love of God – the more you understand His love, the less you will commit sin because the only thing that will appeal to you will be to make God happy.

If that be the case, there is no way you will want to continue in sin. Yes, you can fall into sin once in a while, but you will not dwell in sin. You cannot deliberately want to hurt God because you love Him. You want to see Him happy with you and saying “well done my child”. When you understand the love of God, you will be dead to sin.

It is my prayer that the Lord will open your eyes to show you His love.

In The Hour Of Trial, Jesus, Pray For Me
Lest By Base Denial,
I Depart From Thee;
When Thou Seest Me Waver,
With A Look Recall
Nor For Fear Or Favour
Suffer Me To Fall.

With Its Witching Pleasures
Would This Vain World Charm,
Or Its Sordid Treasures
Spread To Work Me Harm,
Bring To My Remembrance
Said Gethsemane,
Or In Darker Semblance,
Cross-Crowned Calvary.

If With Sore Affliction
Thou In Love Chastise,
Pour Thy Benediction
On The Sacrifice,
Then, Upon Thine Altar,
Freely Offered Up,
Though The Flesh May Falter,
Faith Shall Drink The Cup.

When In Dust And Ashes,
To The Grave I Sink,
While Heaven’s Glory Flashes

There Is An Eye That Never Sleeps
Beneath The Wing Of Night;
There Is An Ear That Never Shuts,
When Sink The Beams Of Light.

There Is An Arm That Never Tires,
When Human Strength Gives Way;
There Is A Love That Never Fails,
When Earthly Loves Decay.

That Eye Is Fixed On Seraph Throngs;
That Arm Upholds The Sky;
That Ear Is Filled With Angel Song:
That Love Is Throned On High.

But There’s A Power, Which Man Can Wield
When Mortal Aid Is Vain,
That Eye, That Arm, That Love To Reach,
That Listening Ear To Gain.

That Power Is Prayer, Which Soars On High
Through Jesus To The Throne,
And Moves The Hand, Which Moves The World.

Behold Us Lowly Bending At Thy
Feet,
Vain Would We Meet Thee On This Hallowed Ground
Where Every Blood-Bought Blessing May Be Found.

Drawn By The Strength Of Thine Own Mighty Love,
Gladly We Come Thy Healing Touch To Prove.
All Power Is Thine – We Echo Back Thy Word –
In Heaven And Earth, Thou Never-Changing Lord.

We Grasp Thy Promises So Sure, So Free,
To All Who In Their Weakness Call On Thee.
The Effectual Fervent Prayer Thou Dost Receive,

Of Covenant Mercy I Sing
Not Fear, With God’s
Righteousness On
My Person And Offering To Bring
The Terrors Of Law And Of God

My Saviour’s Obedience And Blood

The Work Which His Goodness Began
The Arm Of His Strength Will Complete
