1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
INTRODUCTION:
Law is defines as the principles or regulations established in a community by some authority that governs the community. In the old testament, man was subject to the law of sin and death. He was compelled to either keep the many written or verbalized laws or face the consequence of death. We however know that man was unable to keep to the requirements of these laws. Therefore these numerous laws were synonymous with death either of animals as temporary atonement for the sins of man or of man himself whose sins could not be permanently remitted via slaying of animals. Thanks be to God, whose Right Arm brought us Salvation. When Christ paid the price for us and gave us the Holy Spirit, a new law became operational – the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
WHAT IS THE NEW LAW?
The new law is LOVE. John 13:34 (A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another). Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE NEW LAW
1. No more condemnation – the law of sin and death was built around condemnation unto death. Hebrews 9:22 says that “without shedding of blood is no remission”. Meaning every soul that sinneth was sure to die (Exodus 18:4). According to John 8:36, if the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. The new law of the Spirit of life in Christ has put us in a position of freedom from ALL forms of condemnation. Condemnation from sin, man, Satan, past failures and mistakes, etc. Romans 8:35-39 clearly scopes the magnitude of this freedom. The love of Christ that regulates this new law is so powerful that NOTHING is able to separate you and I (those that are in Christ Jesus) from His love. In the mighty name of Jesus, I declare that there is no more condemnation over your life and your family, Amen.
2. A mandate to love – Remember that Jesus Christ said he did not come to cancel the laws but to fulfill them. Through the love that he shed upon man, Jesus fulfilled the law. Many scriptures support this truth. When we love as Christ did, we would have fulfilled all the requirements of the law.
Romans 8:4 (That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit)
Romans 13:8 (Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law)
Romans 13:10 (Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law)
Gal 5:14 (For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself)
Brethren, we are called upon today, to love indeed. Let’s emulate our Lord and Saviour jesus Christ and walk in the spirit of Jesus Christ, LOVE.
May God grant us the grace to embrace and work in the new law – Love, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Finding Your Place In Christ Jesus. what is it that you love to do? What is it that you don’t need to be compelled before you do? What is your passion? Whoever you are, God has deposited something in you that is meant to be used to further His work on earth. Find your place in God by asking the Holy Spirit to direct you and as you find it, begin to function in it and bring glory to the name of the Lord.

OPENING PRAYER
Loving Father, we thank You for grace to see the new month. We are ever so grateful for the past months. Thank You for the world so sweet, thank You for the food we eat, thank You for everything. As we go into the Annual Convention, please let Your glory fill our lives and homes. Let every wave of Covid19 virus give way to the wave of Your glory. Let Your glory sweep through our land and bring succour to every part of our country suffering from insecurity and banditry. Blessed be Your name, O Lord in Jesus Christ Mighty Name We Pray. Amen
INTRODUCTION
We are all gifted by God for service. It is up to each individual to locate his/her gifts and develop it/them.
Gifts are meant to be shared and not hoarded. Like manure, they aid growth and development if shared properly and stink if they are hoarded.
MESSAGE
What is your role in church? God has not called your pastor to do everything in church, He has called them “to prepare (you) for works of service” Eph 4:12. So, have you found your area of service yet? If so, are you functioning in it? Paul writes in the Living Bible Romans 12:4-8
“Just as there are many parts to our bodies, so it is with Christ’s body (the church)… God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, then prophesy whenever you can, as often as your faith is strong enough to receive a message from God. If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, do a good job of teaching. If you are a preacher, see to it that your sermons are strong and helpful. If God has given you money, be generous in helping others with it. If God has given you administrative ability and put you in charge of the work of others, take the responsibility seriously. Those who offer comfort to the sorrowing should do so with Christian cheer”
What manner of worker are you. Are you manipulating people and things to achieve joy?
Are you men pleasers? Pleasing God is what is scriptural and it is within the reach of all of us. Hebrews 11:6– without faith it is impossible to please God….”
Some people believe God is very vindictive. He watches our every step and if we strayed or erred one bit, He was quick to give us a knock. They believe God is out to get people. But this concept of God disregards everything the Word of God has to say about His goodness and merciful lovingkindness.
The word of God says there are things we can do to please Him. What are these things-
Hebrews 11:6– having faith and trust in Him pleases Him.
Col 3:20– He is pleased when children obey their parents. 2 Samuel 7:29. It pleases God to bless our homes.
1 John 3:22– keeping His commandments is pleasing in His sight.
Isaiah 42:21– acknowledgment or recognition of His word is well pleasing to the Lord.
Psalms 69:30-31– Praising, singing and worshipping the Lord pleases Him.
The Bible in Hebrews 11:5 says Enoch had….this testimony, that he pleased God.
So strive to do things that bring pleasure to God. It is not the leader (Pastor) you need to please.
And while we are still talking about finding your place , do not let anybody look down on you.
1 Tim 4:12. It is God that qualifies. If God says you are disqualified, you are!!. Don’t allow anybody overlook you because of your age, your gender, your nationality, your education or your financial status.
The right to work in God’s service is not determined by your years on earth, but by experience with God, your growth in grace and in His word.
So, what is it that you love to do? What is it that you don’t need to be compelled before you do? What is your passion?
Some of us are reticent by nature but we love helping people. Some can go beyond the call of duty to help those who are in need of assistance. Some are compulsive givers. They just love to share and give to other people. Some are gifted speakers and some have the gift of listening. Yes, listening is a gift and is very useful for counsellors. Some are wonderful encouragers- the Barnabas of our time. They are gracious and lifters of hurting people who need comfort.
Whoever you are, God has deposited something in you that is meant to be used to further His work on earth.
Find your place in God by asking the Holy Spirit to direct you and as you find it, begin to function in it and bring glory to the name of the Lord.
Before you can find your place in God, you need to seek and find salvation . God can only use holy and sanctified vessels. Submit to Him today and ask to be made clean so as to be fit for His use.
PRAYERS
1. Father, I need divine direction, please help me to find my place in You. Amen.
2. Father, please help me to use my gift for the glory of Your name through Christ Jesus, Amen.
3. Father, please do not allow me to waste the gift You have given me. Amen.
4. Please, Father make me a vessel unto honour, Amen.
5. Father, let my gift attract men and women into Your kingdom. Amen.
6. Father, let Your glory fill us, Your children, Amen.
