UNCONDITIONAL LOVE STORY – FLOYD

Social Media Specialist's avatarFouad Rahmé

I always wanted to have a dog, but my parents never let me, they always said that we don’t have the space, we live in an apartment and we don’t have a yard. I think they just don’t like pets in general and don’t want to deal living with a dog.

At the end of 2017, the first thing I thought about was to get a dog!
My siblings and I adopted our first dog Floyd from a friend of my brother, she quickly became the love of our life! I knew when we adopted her that if I didn’t give her a home, maybe no one would!

I had Floyd for almost 6 months ago, very short time if you ask me! I was devastated each time my parents say “we have to send her away”.
Floyd arrived home. She was so scared and anxious when we met.
No wonder…

Expectation vs. Reality

A Letter to Who I Thought You Were

Letting go of something you never truly had is impossible. In order to let go, you must have first obtained it – first have had something to hold on to. So, how exactly does this work?

I never really had you. I only had the idea of who you were. I had the hopes, the desires, the over-analyzed moments, I, wrongly, had the expectations. You were my prince, my knight, my dream man…but were you really?

Expectations are a funny thing.

You can think and think and think and build someone up, turning them into an ideal, rather than seeing them for their reality. That is where I went wrong. I dreamt, I fantasized, I thought, I plotted, I discussed – not who you were, but who I had hoped that you would be.

You were supposed to be the…

You Are Valued

gracefullyhumbled's avatarGracefully Humbled

A friend recently shared with me how he was being more intentional with the people currently in his life. How he was thinking about all of the friendships he currently had in order to examine the “value” found in each relationship. What value he brought to each person and vice versa.

You know in that moment of hearing him speak about “value”, I though how I’d never really been that intentional with my friendships or relationships period. I mean yes, I believe God has blessed me with some pretty awesome discernment to where I always know what place an Individual would hold in my life but not to the extreme of the actual value each person held in my life.

Then, while thinking about “value” just the other day,God asked me,
“Do you know your own personal worth and value that you bring to the people around you?”.

(I love…

A LIFE SO BEAUTIFUL~

Live in the present , FUTURE is just anillusion

The year 2020 …… well there’s nothing comforting about it ! The flashing news makes me feel dejected . The aura is transiting gloomier day by day . but the only great thing that has happened to me ,perhaps all of us by now ,is that we have learnt so much ! The biggest of them being the IMPORTANCE OF LIFE! Life……… seems like a small word but has so much more to say !

12th of june literally changed the way i saw life . I always took it for granted. I never appreciated the little things that i had. that day was a pause button that made me reckon the way i have lived so far . The sudden demise of a charming soul left the entire nation crestfallen. like million of others , I too was left…

Identity Crisis

Let’s go there!

Hang on! This is a real, raw mirror check today.

Identity Crisis is something that we think of someone “trying” to fit in somewhere that they do not usually.

Have you ever tried on something and thought it looked cute on the rack, only to come to find out, it’s not your style or even fit?

Recently, I was in the store to find some really cute long flowy pants.

I found some.

Come to find out after trying them on, they were not exactly what I envisioned.

How many times, in life, in our spiritual lives do we do this?

Trying on things that are not intended for us.

The City of Love

Mugilan Raju's avatarMugilan Raju

I wish I could have taken you to Paris,
We could have sat on the steps of Montmartre,
Beneath the shade of Sacre-Coeur,
As we looked down upon the city under our feet,
Every side street an artery pumping life stemming from the heart of Notre-Dame,
And from up here, we’ll see eye to eye with the Eiffel tower,
As every old lane way crumbles to the power of our love,
We could have strolled down the Champs-Élysées,
And I would lift the Arc De Triomphe upon my shoulders,
Telling you stories from within the vaults of the Louvre,
As we held hands when the sun set and the night got colder.

But you, never existed, or maybe you could have,
Maybe just a figment of my imagination,
A Da Vinci instigated inspiration,
An artwork hidden with the gardens of Versailles type creation,
Somewhere – stored within the hedge mazes…

Effect of Timing in Business

The Living Source's avatarinvestwise

I’m giving up very soon because I didn’t get it right in this trade! Paul yelled. His adrenaline couldn’t hold the agony and the pain he has absorbed for a long time while he was in Business. He is used to be a grocer and later he became a manager of that same small store. Paul started well though, at least from the sales of half pack of consumables to the sales of three to four packs a day. But along the line he couldn’t get the huge sales as projected by him in third year in business. Now, the question is what went wrong with Paul’s business?

Paul’s business can be any other business out there, as far as value is been exchanged for money it is a business. Actually in his first year, he did a lot of advertising, sending invitation to friends for patronage, build an awareness…

Have Evangelicals become Missionaries of Darkness?

considerfaith14012's avatarConsider Faith: A Faithful Search for Truth

With about three weeks left before the highly anticipated mid-term elections I know it’s hard to keep up on events occurring in other parts of the world. I like to think of myself as someone that is fairly well read, especially when it comes to foreign affairs, but a story from last weeks New York Times caught me a bit off guard. Brazil, the country known for bringing us such fabulous imports like Soccer star Pele and the thong bikini (Aren’t we all indebted to the thong for inspiring Sisqo to produce such an amazing song?) was embroiled in a heated presidential election.

While I’m no expert on Brazilian politics I have followed the countries developments to improve education, eradicate poverty, and improve the welfare state. I was an admirer of previous president Lula da Silva, and was intrigued with Brazil’s desire to implement a Universal Basic Income. I know…

God’s Gaze

Celia Hales's avatarPRAYERS TO THE DIVINE COSMOS

Dear God,

I need quiet today, peace in Your gaze. You can set all things right, and in my little world today there are some things that worry me. Help me to get my attitude straightened out so that all is right in my part of the world.

Thank You for answering this prayer. When something is awry, the best thing I can do is turn to You.

Amen.

“How God prepared me for my grandmother’s death”

daughter of God.'s avatarLesegomolutsi.com

My grandmother was a praying woman, taught me how to pray at a very young age.

This image above, was at the wall at my grandmothers house i remember her teaching me how to read it. I always find my strength in that image.

I remember when I was not in the adolescent stage anymore when reality hit me, if i loose my grandmother would literally loose everything. I started praying, and my prayer was getting stronger and stronger everyday. Asking God to bless my grandmother with many more years so i can be able to make her proud.

I disappointed her and dropped out of school and later decided to mend my ways and go back to college, but “it was too late”.

She passed away while i was doing my last year at college, i was broken. It was 2014 ,remember sitting right in the middle of my…

Build the Digital Kingdom from your home!

Travelbloggingacademy's avatarTravel Blogging Academy

Are you looking at your screen? The street is empty outside. The sky is blue and there are no planes in the air. The smell of local restaurants disappeared. The businessmen are not shaking their hands. So what should you do? It’s time to invest in working from your home. Do you want to become your own boss?

First, it’s important to have a laptop or a mobile phone where you can enter the Digital Kingdom. I have my own company where I sell courses and give Dutch online lessons to Polish immigrants to empower their integration process. I use a Space Gray MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports ($849,66). I recommend it for every Digital Nomad because it’s light to travel. It has a great keyboard to write your first business plan and is consumer-friendly. To protect it from coffee I recommend the Thule Macbook Sleeve ($56,92).

THE IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

houseofpowerchurch's avatarHOUSE OF POWER (HOPc)

Chapter 6 – Repentance
THE IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE
What place should repentance have in your presentation of the gospel? Is repentance the same thing as belief? Or is it something distinct from it? Is it important to emphasize repentance, or should we never mention it in this age of grace? What does repentance really mean, anyway? These are some of the questions the soulwinner must face (and answer) regarding the subject of repentance.
There can be little doubt that all men, from Adam on, have had to repent in order to have a right relationship with God. The importance of this is brought home when we realize men of every Biblical age preached it.
John the Baptist preached it (Mark 1:15); the Apostle John proclaimed its necessity (Rev. 2:5); Paul preached repentance wherever he went (Acts 17:30; 20:21 ); and the Lord Jesus Christ Himself strongly emphasized that men who…

WHO WILL YOU BLAME, IF YOU MISS HEAVEN?

Michael's avatarHome Of Charity

Heaven is the abode of God the father Son and the holy spirit. Heaven is the abode of the saints. Heaven is a holy place; eternal home of the righteous ( Revelation 21:14-27 ).

Heaven is holy, there is no pain no sorrow. Heaven is a joyful place, only those who did the ” Will” of the Father shall enter into it ( 1Corinthians chapter 6:9-10), so it is very clear that the unrighteous shall not enter into heaven, only the redeemed the ransomed of the Lord, those who pass through the high way which is Jesus Christ ( Isaiah 35:8-10 ), those who lived the life of Jesus Christ shall see heaven, so every child of God should aspire to see heaven. Those who are true believers and desiring to make heaven at last (Revelation 19:1).

So, in heaven the saints and the angels worship God from eternity to…
