Living Out Your Relationship with God
TEXT: COLOSSIANS 1:10
INTRODUCTION
We are continuing on our series of ‘KNOWING GOD’. Over the past month, we have been taught on Understanding the Nature of God, Getting to know Him, the characteristics of such a relationship, and how to deepen our relationship with God. In our last session, we realize that to deepen our relationship with God, we have to continually maintain the characteristics of the relationship. This can be achieved through consistent study of the Word, seeking Him through our worship, prayers, and service, in absolute trust, dependence and complete submission to God’s will.
In today’s session we are looking at “Living Out our Relationship with God”. We are all relationship being designed by God for intimate fellowship with him. John 5:19. John 14:10. Everything that our Lord Jesus did, emanated from his fellowship with the Father. Our outward walk with God must be a reflection of our inner journey with him. We are the expression of our relationship and who we spend time with. Acts 4:13. Our Relationship with God must go beyond casual acquaintance or religious activities, but one that’s based on an intimate personal friendship with God. John 15:15 – Our Lord Jesus upscale his relationship with the disciples from servants to friends. God wants us to express and manifest his presence and character in our daily life and allowing that relationship to shape our thoughts, words, and actions.
Outline 1: WALKING IN OBEDIENCE
To live out our relationship with God, we must learn to walk in complete Obedience to his Word and the leading of His Holy Spirit in our lives. Walking in obedience to God means aligning one’s Life with God’s will as revealed in His
Word and through His Spirit. 1 Samuel 15:22. We must remain intentional and adamant in obeying God, regardless of the challenge or when life’s outcomes are unclear. When we walk in complete submission and obedience to God, it bonds us closer to him, causes us to grow Spiritually, brings us to a place of Peace, Joy and fulfilment of purpose in him.
How to Walk in Obedience:
Continuous Meditation on God’s Word. Joshua 1:8. Psalms 1:1-3. John 6:63.
Lifestyle of Worship and Prayer. Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
Be guided by the Holy Spirit. John 16:13, 1 Corinthians 2:10, Eze. 36:27
Do the Word. James 1:22, Micah 6:8. Psalms 40:6-8
Outline 2: SHARING GOD’S LOVE.
To live out our relationship with God, we must learn to Share God’s Love. 1 John4:7-12.
God is Love. Sharing God’s Love means demonstrating His Love through our words and actions, reflecting His compassion, kindness, and forgiveness to others. God’s Love is within our hearts.
Our Love for one another shows our connection to him. Romans 5:5, John 13:35
How to Share God’s Love:
Our Words.
Speaking to God about others around you. 1Timothy 2:1.
Speak to those around you Words of Salvation, Hope, Encouragement, Affirmation, and Support that can help, uplift and motivate. Colossians 4:6.
Our Actions.
Love gives. Discreetly give your time to help others. John 3:16
Show Kindness, Benevolence and Generosity to others around you.
Outline 3: PERSEVERING IN FAITH.
To live out our relationship with God, we must learn to persevere in Faith. Rom8:28.
Our relationship with God will be tested and tried with varied challenges and oppositions, but the Lord has overcome for us. Hebrews 10:36, John16:33.
Persevering in faith means maintaining our trust in God and holding onto His Word and Promises over our lives, despite difficulties, challenges, and setbacks. It’s about steadfastness, determination, and resilience in the face of adversity, recognizing our faith is a journey of endurance and growth.
How to persevere in Faith.
· Persevere in God’s Word and His Promises over your Life. Romans 4:20, Isaiah 55:11, Psalms 132:11, and Hebrews 6:17-18
· Remain Steadfast in Worship and Prayers. Philippians4:6
· Continue to be of Service to God and those around you.
CONCLUSION
To live out our Relationship with God, we must learn to walk in complete Obedience to his Word and the leading of His Holy Spirit in our lives. We must show and share God’s Love with everyone we come in contact with and must persevere in Faith regardless of the situation and circumstances we find ourselves in Life.

The thief who died next to Jesus.
No baptism No communion No confirmation No speaking in tongues No mission trip No volunteering No financial gifts No church clothes
He couldn’t bend his knees to pray. He didn’t say the sinner’s prayer, he was a criminal and he was worthy of death. Jesus didn’t take away his pain, heal his body, or smite his scoffers. He was a thief who walked into paradise the same seconds as Jesus simply by believing. He had nothing more to offer other than his belief that Jesus was who He said He was. No spin from theologians. No ego or arrogance. No shiny lights, donuts, or coffee in the lobby. Just a dying man on a cross unable to even fold his hands to pray.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that WHOEVER believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. – John 3:16

OPENING PRAYER: Father, please don’t let me miss your second coming of our Lord Jesus.

12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: The rapture is an event where all who have put their trust in Christ, living and dead, will suddenly be caught up from the earth, be joined with Christ in the air. Paul describes the rapture in 1 Thessalonians4:13-18 as an event that must bring comfort to the believers.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: WHAT IS RAPTURE?
(1) Transporting of believers to heaven at the second coming of Christ
(2) Acton in which believers will be caught up
(3) This is the final excitement and happiness, breakaway from peril in this world.
(4) It is used for a mystical union with God or for eternal life in heaven.
(5) It is a biblical doctrine of an end to our sojourn on earth.
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE RAPTURE?
a) All believers in Christ will be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51
b) The event will happen suddenly. 1 Corinthians 15:52
c) The Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies
d) Perishable earthly bodies will be transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die. 1 Corinthians 15:53
e) By the time we are transformed to heavenly bodies, death will be swallowed up in victory. 1 Corinthians 15:54.
f) The stars in the heaven shall fall and powers in heaven shall be shaken.
g) The sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give light.
SUMMARY: It is important to know that rapture will happen suddenly, unexpectedly, so we should be ready like the wise virgins in Matthew 25:1-4.
CONCLUSION: Rapture heralds the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ when He shall return to earth and dispatch angels to gather the elect from four corners of the earth to the welcoming party with Him as the bridegroom and the Host.

GOOD MORNING DEARLY AMIABLE CHILD OF GOD. WELCOME TO THIS GLORIOUS DAY THE LORD HAS MADE. WE WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT! AMEN. BELOVETH, IT SHALL BE UNTO YOU A NEW BEGINNING FOR YOU IN JESUS NAME.
Dear friend, I specially welcome you to this day. By the authority and power in the Word of God, I decree a New Beginning in any area you failed or lost hope in Jesus name.
One of the implication of this Name is that being THE BEGINNING, you can have the power to start anything God wants you to do in Jesus name.
Many fail or remain where they have always been, not because they do not know what to do, but because they lack the power to start. Some have brilliant ideas that could turn around their lives; but they cannot go beyond that point.
Some are afraid to leave where they are for the new place or assignment God has sent them. You need to be introduced to THE BEGINNING. He will give you the power to start. That power is stronger than fear. It is stronger than any weaknesses or limitation.
Have you faced severe challenges in taking a new appointment, assignment or starting a new business? Friend, you are not alone. When a messenger is promoted to become the commander-in -chief, the fellow will face challenges. After the death of Moses, God told Joshua, Moses’ messenger, that he was now to take on the mantle of leadership millions of Israelites [JOSHUA 1:1-9].
Even though Moses had earlier prayed for him, he did not receive the news in good faith. How can a messenger suddenly become the father of a nation? What of the 70 elders and all the other leaders under Moses? Joshua was afraid.

Mark 11:23
…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
The whole universe came into existence through the spoken Word of God. This means everything; both living and non-living things, responds to God’s Word. And since we’re God’s children, our words also carry the power to change situations.
The Lord approached a fig tree for fruit but found none. Then He cursed the tree: “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” By the next day, the tree had withered away (Mark 11:12-21). That same Jesus spoke to the winds and waves, and they heard Him (Mark 4:39). He spoke to the fish and loaves of bread, and they multiplied (Luke 9:16-17). This shows that everything responds to words.
With God’s Word in your mouth, you can recreate your world and cause things around you to align with God’s will. It doesn’t matter what it is—it’ll conform when you speak God’s Word. Hallelujah!

Life is war. Ephesians 6: 12
We are constantly wrestling against principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places.
We are asked to be sober and vigilant. 1 Peter 5:8
The beautiful thing about all this is that you can become an overcomer. John 16:33
God says in His word that you have won.
You are an overcomer because there is someone in you Who is greater than all those in the world.
Anytime you’re facing a war you can’t win, you need to get an ally who is greater than you and can defeat your enemy.
Why am I so confident that we are overcomers?
If we have God on our side, we have already won. Romans 8: 31, 37
• Your Ally, the One Who will give you victory, has many ways of dealing with enemies.
• If lions come against you, He can apply the law of substitution. Proverbs 11:8, Daniel 6
• If they throw you into the fire, God can swallow their fire and consume them.
Sometimes, a case can be so complicated. But all you need is a word from God.
☆ There is something called generational blessings. Galatians 3: 29
If you are a Christian, the blessings of Abraham are yours.
• Physically, you’re an overcomer because Jesus paid a very terrible price for your healing. 1 Peter 2: 24
• Materially, you’re to be an overcomer because Jesus paid for it.

• Maritally, you’re to be an overcomer.
If you’d cling to Jesus, you’d bear much fruit. John 15: 1-15
• Spiritually, it is established that you’re an overcomer.
All evil forces are under the feet of Jesus, and we are part of His body. No matter how low you are in Christ, you’re not lower than His feet. Ephesians 1: 18-23
• Careerwise, you’re meant to be an overcomer. John 12:32
You are planned to be an overcomer.
You will be an overcomer.
But There Are Several Things You Must Do:
1. You must love God. Romans 8: 37, Proverbs 8: 17
Love is a 2-way traffic. The Lord loves those who love Him.
2. You must submit yourself totally to God. No pretense. James 4:7
The moment the devil knows you’re fully submitted to God, if he tries to attack you, he knows that God will back you up.
3. You must abide in God. Psalm 91: 1-8
To abide under the shadow of the Almighty God, you must dwell in the secret place. Every day of your life, you must be in Christ.
Don’t stray from God. Stay close to Him. Psalm 23:6
If you stray away from God, you put yourself in danger.
4. Hearken and obey God.
You may never need to fight if you hearken unto the Lord.
Life is war; war is made up of battles. There is a way where you won’t have to fight any battles.

5. Believe in God.
God doesn’t gain anything by lying to you.
When we talk about lying for a promotion, who is going to promote the Most High?
There is no reason for God to lie.
God has spoken to you tonight; believe Him.

God wants you to worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4: 23-24
When you worship God, He arises, and when He arises, His enemies scatter.

The reason why many of us lose our miracles is that we don’t testify.

The ultimate overcomer is the one who makes it to heaven.

MESSAGE:
Today, I’ll conclude my discussion on generational curses and their impact. Such curses take root over several generations, and when anyone wants to remove them, they won’t go without a fight.
For instance, when Moses tried to deliver Israel from the hold of the Egyptians, Pharaoh was reluctant to let them go.
God had to send ten plagues before he was forced to release them. Even after that, he and his army pursued them to take them back into bondage. The Egyptians had tormented Israel for many generations – lasting 430 years Exodus12:40 – and they didn’t want to let them go.
For Israel to finally be free, God had to wipe out Pharaoh’s soldiers Exodus 14:27-28.
If there are any generational curses working against your destiny, I decree they are broken today, in Jesus’ Name
To be free from generational curses, people can go to genuine ministers of God, and they will cancel them. However, if they continue to live sinful lifestyles, the curses may come back.
Imagine if, after Israel was freed, they separated themselves from Moses, their link to God, the Egyptians would have recaptured them.
The primary thing that is required for generational curses to be broken forever is that people remain close to God.
People can also break generational curses by themselves if they become really intimate with Christ. The literal meaning of today’s memory verse is that as you continually get filled with the Holy Spirit, you will grow in the spirit such that your neck will become too big for any demonic yoke to hold it. After Jesus healed the man at the pool of Bethesda, He warned him not to return to sin so that something worse wouldn’t happen to him. John 5:14.
Sin will always keep the door open for generational curses. You must live a holy life because the devil will return to check if he has legal grounds to torment you again. John 14:30.
You must also be willing to pray and fast diligently because certain demons only respond to prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29.
You should also study your Bible diligently because it is the truth that makes you free John 8:32.
And do not forsake the fellowshipping of brethren because one can chase 1,000 but two can chase 10,000 Hebrews 10:25, Deuteronomy 32:30.
As you do these, no generational curse or any other curse will be able to affect you, your family, and every other thing that concerns you.
Prayer Point:
Father, please deliver me and my family from generational curses or any other curses, in Jesus’ Name.
