Even In The Midst Of The Mess I Am Right Now, There Is Much More Grace Available To Help Me Bounce Back. Thank You Jesus

“Moreover where the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound”.
Romans 5:20 (KJV)

I am tired of believers living their lives as if sin is more powerful than what Jesus did for us on the cross. You constantly see believers cringing and crying for hours, pleading for mercy. I feel really weary when I see Bible-believing children of God cringing because of sin rather than standing tall. Understand that I am not validating sin. The Bible asks whether sin shall abound that grace may much more abound, and it also rightly answers that God forbids it. God does not expect you to deliberately live in sin because of grace. In fact, if you clearly understand the word “grace”, sin will be far from you. You will love God too much to do things that do not glorify Him.

Beloved, you may have missed the point yesterday or today but that does not make you a sinner. Remember that the fact that you passed through a garage does not make you a car. Falling into one sin or the other does not make you a sinner. You can never get rid of the sin in your life through self-effort or your own resolutions. You can make as many New Year’s resolutions as you want, but one thing is sure: it is the operation of the Holy Ghost that delivers us from sin. That is why Paul the Apostle in 2 Corinthians 3:18 said, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (KJV). When you see yourself the way you really are, then the Holy Ghost works in you to change you into what you are seeing.

Hear this: today’s text assures us that even in the midst of that mess you are in there is much more grace available to help you bounce back. Thank God that the price has already been paid.

I Shall Seek First The Kingdom Of God

I Shall Seek First The Kingdom Of God

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

Romans 14:17 (KJV)

In Matthew 6:33, Jesus challenges us to seek first the Kingdom of God in order for other things to be given to us. You will notice from our text that the kingdom is not about doing the work of the ministry or going to the mission field. It is not something that flows from the outside in; instead, it flows from the inside out. Remember that Jesus said the kingdom is within us (Luke 17:21).

Paul tells in our text that the kingdom is “[. . .] righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17, KJV).

1. Righteousness:
Not our own righteousness predicated on our works. It is a gift from Jesus, who has become our righteousness (Romans 5:17, 1 Corinthians 1:30). You must be established in the fact that you are now the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).

2. Peace with God:
Because you are justified by faith you now have peace with God (Romans 5:1). And because you have peace with God, which means that God is not mad at you, you also have the peace of God, which passes all human understanding (Philippians 4:7). Jesus gave us peace (John 14:17). With your being established in peace with God, and with the peace of God, you now know that no matter what you’re facing everything will be alright.

3. Joy in the Holy Ghost:
Joy will always be your portion whenever you focus on the finished work of Jesus Christ on your behalf. He paid the price so that you could receive the benefits. What Joy this understanding will produce in your heart! Therefore, see your righteousness in Christ every day. See that all of your sins are forgiven and you will flow in peace and joy. That is what it means to flow in the kingdom of God.

Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh on Friday declared the formerly secular country an Islamic republic in a move he said was designed to distance the West African state further from its colonial past.

The tiny sliver of a country, named after the river from which British ships once allegedly fired cannonballs to fix its borders, joins the ranks of other Islamic Republics such as Iran and Afghanistan.

“In line with the country’s religious identity and values, I proclaim Gambia as an Islamic state,” said Jammeh on state television. “As Muslims are the majority in the country, the Gambia cannot afford to continue the colonial legacy,” he added.

Gambia’s population of 1.8 million people is 95 percent Muslim. He said that other citizens of other faiths would still be able to practise.

Jammeh, an animated orator who has earned the reputation for making surprise declarations over the course of his 21-year presidency, pulled Gambia out of the Commonwealth in 2013, calling it neo-colonial. In 2007, he claimed to have found a herbal cure for AIDS.

Despite strong commercial ties with Britain and other European countries whose citizens are regular visitors to Gambia’s white-sand beaches, relations with the West have deteriorated in recent years.

The European Union temporarily withheld aid money to the country last year over Gambia’s poor human rights record. Gambia, whose main industries are agriculture and tourism, ranks 165 out of 187 countries on the U.N. development index.

“Starved of development funds because of his deplorable human rights record and economic mismanagement, Jammeh is looking towards the Arab world as substitute for and source of development aid,” said blogger Sidi Sanneh, a former foreign minister who has become a U.S.-based dissident.

Please Pray For Gambian Christians!

I Did Not Deserve God’s Forgiveness, But He Forgave Me Through Christ Jesus

I Did Not Deserve God’s Forgiveness, But He Forgave Me Through Christ Jesus

Matthew 18:21
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Peter asked the Lord how often he should forgive his brother. The Lord’s answer to him was simple: Up to 70 times seven times. (Matthew 18:22) In other words, all the time!

“Well, he does not deserve my forgiveness.”

Neither did you deserve God’s forgiveness.

There is not a single person alive or dead who did not break all 10 of God’s commandments. There is no such thing as a “partial sinner” or “great sinner”. All of us were great sinners when Jesus saved us. And when we realize that we are forgiven much, we will love much. (Luke 7:47)

“How can you say that I have broken all of God’s commandments? I have never committed adultery.”

My friend, Jesus said, “If you lust after a woman in your heart, you have already committed adultery with her.” (Matthew 5:28) That is God’s standard. Man looks outward, but God looks inward at the heart. Moreover, if you break one law, you are guilty of all. (James 2:10) So everyone has broken all of God’s commandments. Everyone is a great sinner.

Now, you are no longer a sinner if you have received Christ as your Savior. You are a new creation. But you were a great sinner and God forgave you your huge debt through the death of His Son.

So if someone has wronged you, tell yourself this: “I did not deserve God’s forgiveness, but He forgave me through Christ. So I forgive this person also.” If you say something like, “He does not deserve it,” it makes no sense. Forgiveness is not for people who deserve it. If they deserve anything, it is punishment. But forgiveness means that you extend grace—undeserved favor—like how God extends undeserved favor to you.

Beloved, if you choose to hold on to bitterness, no one suffers but you. You lose your peace, then possibly your health. It is just not worth it. God says to you, “Let go. Forgive them their debts, just as I have forgiven you yours.”

If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Faithful Christian Workers. Sermon And Prayer Point By Pastor E A Adeboye

Pastor E A Adeboye, Daddy G O

Pastor E A Adeboye, Daddy G O

Memorise:

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

1 Corinthians 4:2

Read: Luke 12:37-38

37  Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

38  And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

Message

A Christian worker is a born-again child of God; a steward who has been entrusted with the careful use, control and management of kingdom resources and possessions. The teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ on stewardship emphasised two things that are important: responsibility and accountability. Jesus speaking on responsibility in Luke 12:48 said:

“But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.”

Revelation_4-11: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created

Revelation_4-11: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created

According to Revelation 4:11, God created man and everything else for His pleasure. Individuals are therefore accountable for their God-given physical and spiritual endowments. Christians are also responsible for whatever is put in their care. The gifts and talents in our lives are to be used profitably for the expansion of the kingdom of God. The Bible further states in Romans 14:12 that every one of us shall give account of himself to God, and in Romans 2:6 that God will render to every man according to his deeds. Consequently, every Christian worker is accountable to God. The Bible also admonishes us not to neglect our gifts but to develop and polish them.

“Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.”

1 Timothy 4:14

Christians are to be wise stewards of their God-given gifts, talents and abilities. They are to serve with humility, total submission to authority and in the fear of God. They are to serve with gratitude to God and for the benefit of others. Christian workers in whatever department should not view the work of God as an opportunity to make money. The work should not be done with eye-service but as unto the Lord, who will faithfully reward those who diligently serve Him. Finally, whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might (Ecclesiastes 9:10), and don’t be slothful in God’s business, but rather be fervent in your physical and spiritual service to God (Romans 12:11). I pray that as you work fervently for God this year, He will reward you accordingly in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:

Father, please let the cup of my physical and spiritual blessings overflow this year in the Name of Jesus.

May God Bless Nigeria, America And Israel And Take Care Of Us; May God Make His Face Shine Upon Us, And Be Gracious To Us; May The Lord Lift Up His Countenance Upon Us, And Give Us Peace, In Jesus Christ Name, We Pray! Amen!
