How to Succeed in Life and This World

Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers

Success

I’ve never met a person who did not want to be successful.

The desire to succeed is God-given.

God wants you to be successful.

John writes, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” -3 John 2 (KJV)

That’s what I describe as nothing broken and nothing missing.

That’s your spiritual walk, your emotions, your finances, your job, your health, your relationships, your household and the list goes on and on.

You Are As He Is

Take a moment to imagine how God sees you right now.

Because of Jesus Christ’s finished work at the Cross, God sees us as kings and priests. We are as He (Christ) is in this world.

Doesn’t it make you feel great knowing that God sees the finished product in you?

Remember this feeling because success in life is a journey, not a destination.

There will be times in life when you feel insignificant and down. There will be times when you don’t feel like taking another step.

That’s when you need to say, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.”

It’s Not What You Do Once in a While that Makes the Difference

Success doesn’t happen overnight.

In most cases, what we see as the big pay-off is the result of someone’s continual dedication to correct information and association.

That’s why it is critically important to remind yourself of who you are in Christ.

I recommend making this reminder part of your daily routine. I also recommend that you commit to reading your Bible on a daily basis.

I’ve often said that if you want to be a leader, you’ve got to be a reader.

It has never been easier, than in today’s day and age, to renew your mind.

There are audio books, podcasts, YouTube videos, e-books, and countless other forms of high-quality education.

After stretching your mind, you’ll begin to dream bigger and prioritize your life. You’ll regain that get-up-and-go attitude that you thought was lost.

A renewed mind results in a renewed attitude.

You see, success in life depends more on your attitude than it does on your surroundings or the people who are currently causing roadblocks in your life.

I’ve found that unsuccessful people have an attitude of avoidance.

They avoid taking responsibility. They avoid risk. They try to avoid failure.

On the other hand, successful people turn failure into feedback.

They realize that life is a path so they keep moving. They don’t stop to dwell on their mistakes.

Instead of focusing on the negative consequences of failure, they see each setback as a bump in the road to prosperity.

What are you focusing on?

We were doing business with a particular organization and they were doing a great job. Then they began to branch out into other areas.

Soon, they were spreading themselves and their staff so thin, they were unable to perform on the level that earned them our business. Bottom line is, it cost them a client.

The most successful businesses (and people) narrow their focus and concentrate their efforts on the things they do best.

When we branch out and try to be all things to all people, we misplace what makes us great.

There is power in narrowing your focus.

It is through Christ finished work that we are able to do all things.

It is by His blood that we are overcomers.

Focus on Him and you will be successful.

I call you blessed.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God Always Out-Gives Us

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of
the band called the Italian band, A devout man, and one that feared
God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and
prayed to God alway
Acts 10:1

Cornelius was praying. Cornelius was giving. So God opened the door for
him to receive his salvation. God gave him the word of knowledge
immediately. He told him where to find Simon, what house he was in, and
the occupation of the person whose house he was in. Cornelius’ gift of
prayer and giving came as a memorial before God.

Thus, Cornelius was the first centurion to become saved. He was the
first centurion to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaking
in other tongues. Because he was consistent in prayer and giving, God
was able to bless him.

When you give constantly out of your love, God will make sure He
out-gives you. He will see your gift of love and be so blessed by it
that He will say, “I’ll give to him, too.”

WHAT A GIRL SHOULD KNOW.

Once a girl reaches the age of puberty, these are the following things her parents should let her know.

A girl should have a thorough knowledge of her body. She should know what menstruation is all about, how to count the dates, when it is safe and when alarm will blow. She should know the cause of pregnancy and how to give birth.

A girl should be told about all the risks involved in sex. From pregnancy to venereal disease (STD) and   emotional trauma. She should know that there is no sex without the opposite sex (A Male). So she should be told about the nature of men.

Every girl should know about precautions, starting from the knowledge of her gestation period to other forms of contraceptives. She should be told that the best contraceptive is to Abstain from SEX till she gets married.

A girl should know what pride and dignity means. And should know that a lot of her dignity is related to her sexual conduct. Remember your body is yours and it is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT! Don’t be forced into doing what you don’t want to do  and please, do it only when it is safe;   in Marriage!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

What 2 Timothy 3 Tells Us About the Dangers in Our World

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

2 Timothy 3. The dangers of the last days

1You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.

2For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.

3They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.

4They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.

5They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

6They are the kind who work their way into people’s homes and win the confidence of* vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires.

7(Such women are forever following new teachings, but they are never able to understand the truth.)

8These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses. They have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith.

9But they won’t get away with this for long. Someday everyone will recognize what fools they are, just as with Jannes and Jambres.

10But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance.

11You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it.

12Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

13But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.

14But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.

15You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

16All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

17God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Discovering God’s Kind of Success in the World

I WISH ABOVE ALL THINGS THAT YOU MAY PROSPER AND BE IN
HEALTH, EVEN AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS

Beloved, I wish above
all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth (3 John vs. 2).

This scripture reveals God’s desire for every one of His
children: He’s interested in our financial and physical well-being! However,
the degree of financial and physical prosperity we enjoy is determined by the
degree of prosperity in our souls.

You see, your soul prospers as you receive the Word of God
and lay it up in your heart, as you fix your gaze on God and set aside every
weight of sin that has beset you. God gave Joshua the key to God’s kind of
prosperity in Joshua 1:8; “This book of
the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt mediate therein day
and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written
therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have
good success.”

As you meditate on God’s Word all the time and observe to do
it, you’ll have good success. Notice it doesn’t say “…..thou shalt have success….”
But “…….thou shalt have good success.” “Good Success” isn’t
the world’s kind of success. “Good Success” isn’t the world’s kind of success
but God’s kind of success.

Job 22:22-24 also gives some insight into this subject: “Receive, I pray thee, the law from His
mouth, and lay up His words in thine heart. If thou return to the Almight, thou
shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt
thou lay up gold as dust and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.”

Notice the order: First , you must receive the Word, lay it
up in your heart, return to Him and put away iniquity (sin) far from your
house. Then, you will surely lay up gold as dust and continually enjoy success
and prosperity, God’s way.  Why? It’s
because “….the Almighty shall be thy defence….” (Job 22:25). Put simply, God
Himself ensures that this kind of prosperity is sustained. He defends you and
everything that belongs to you, for they belong to Him too.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for giving me Your Word. I receive it with meekness and faith, and
lay it up in my heart that sin will be far from my dwelling. I declare
therefore, that I am prospering in my soul, in my body, and in my finances
through Your Word, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Overcoming Enemies in Your World with God’s Power

The Redeemed Christian Church of GOD.
HOLY GHOST CONGRESS!
Theme: A NEW THING.
Date: 12-17 Dec, 2011.
Venue: Redemption camp, KM 46, Lagos Ibadan expressway, Nigeria.
You are invited!

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

Nothing and no one can hurt you!

God has anointed us with His Spirit and He has given us the victory over all the power of the enemy. The bible says “Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies….” (Psalm 23:5) for the remaindered of this year God has prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies.

The scripture didn’t say we will not have enemies; but it says anybody who declares himself as our enemy shall fall for our sake: “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake” (Isaiah 54:15). Those that gather to wreck havoc in your life, have only gathered for their fall.

In Deuteronomy 28:7, the Bible says, “The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out again thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways” in other words, you will celebrate life and your victory in the presence of your enemies. The glory of God will rest upon you in power.

God has given us peace from our enemies. By this I don’t mean they won’t be around you anymore. The Psalmist said, “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me” (Psalm 119:97-98). The Holy Spirit will open your heart to God’s Word in a new way such that you’ll have revelations that’ll make you wiser than all your enemies put together. This means, the Bible should be your constant companion this year. Study and let the Holy Spirit fill you with wisdom to prevail in your world, for the Master says, “………be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16).

Prayer

No evil shall befall me neither shall any plague come near my household, for the Lord has given His angels charge to keep me in all my ways. I fearlessly tread upon serpents and scorpions for no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper; and every tongue that rises against me in judgment is condemned already! Hallelujah! Amen!

Living in a World Where Debts Are Cancelled

Hallelujah! We now live in a time when all our debts to God have been cancelled and all the things the devil stole from us have been returned.

OUR DEBTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED

Luke 4:19, “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

LUKE 4:16-30

This scripture had been written prophetically by the prophet Isaiah about 650 years prior to this time. It was read in Jewish synagogues thousands of times. But the one this verse was speaking of had never spoken it before. With this pronouncement, Jesus began the year of Jubilee.

The Year of Jubilee was described in Leviticus 25. It was a year when everyone left their fields unworked and kept a sabbath unto the Lord. The Lord gave the people a miraculous provision the year before this jubilee started that sustained them for three years until their crops could once again be harvested.

This jubilee was different than the other sabbatical years in that every debt was cancelled. All property was returned to its original owner and anyone who had been sold into slavery was set free. It was a year of new beginnings.

Jesus proclaimed a spiritual jubilee. We now live in a time when all our debts to God have been cancelled and all the things the devil stole from us have been returned. Even our slavery to the devil has come to an end through the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a time for rejoicing.

Jesus is our jubilee.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. —Psalm 46:1

One of my new friends is a mom whose 21-year-old daughter died suddenly in 2009, which sent her reeling. She told me, “I feel like an outcast from the normal world. I feel crushed and my soul is in so much pain.”

Indeed the losses that visit us can knock us off our feet—whether a death in the family, a child who walks away from God and family, or a physical or mental setback.

Yet what I’ve discovered is something musician Jeremy Camp made clear in a song he wrote after the death of his wife in 2001: When you are knocked off your feet by life’s difficulties, remember that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1). That’s reason enough to get back up again. Camp described his struggle in the song called “Understand.” He asked, “Why don’t I get back on my feet again?” And he recognized that he could because “I know You understand it all.”

When trouble knocks us down, we can look up. God is there. He understands and cares. It’s not easy, but we can trust Him to help us get back on our feet again. —Dave Branon

Lift up your eyes, despairing one,
The Lord your help will be;
You have a friend in heaven who cheers,
And calms the troubled sea. —Anon.

There is no place where earth’s sorrows are felt more than in heaven.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Transforming the World Through God’s Power

God Is The Only One That can promote

DRAWN BY God’s POWER

Mark 1:37, “And when they had found him, they said unto him, All [men] seek for thee.”

MK. 1:35-39; LK. 4:42-44

This is an amazing statement. Jesus’ ministry was only a few months old and the masses of people were already seeking him out.

This is even more astonishing when you realize that Jesus had not used any of the conventional methods of publicity. In fact, Jesus had already rejected publicity during His first ministry in Jerusalem (Jn. 2:24-25). There was no natural explanation for Jesus’ success.

God is the one who promoted Jesus. And He used supernatural means to do it. It was not the slick techniques of Madison Avenue that brought the crowds–it was the awesome manifestation of God’s power.

Just the day before, Jesus had cast the demon out of a man at the synagogue in Capernaum (Mk. 1:21-28). This caused the whole city to gather at Peter’s house and Jesus healed every one of them (Lk. 4:40).

Jesus’ display of the miraculous power of God was the spark that the Holy Spirit used to light a fire in the hearts of these people. Jesus had this power because of His intimate relationship with His father. It is no accident that He was praying while all men were seeking Him.

As you seek to touch others with the new life that you’ve found in Christ, let God confirm His Word with the miraculous manifestations of His power through you
