Happy birthday Nigeria! Happy Independence day Everyone!

This is the 52nd Year

Independence came on Nigeria’s throne

And in the 52 years

We have learnt, known and understood

That what is worth having

Is worth standing for and holding onto

We’ve also learnt that tomorrow starts today

We’ve learnt to struggle for good causes

This is the 52nd year

We’ve had wonderful moments

We’ve had jubilant moments

We’ve also had some not-so wonderful ones

Still we’ve pulled together in unity

And we celebrate all these moments

In hope, working towards our dreams and goals

For the Nigeria we love

Happy birthday Nigeria

Happy Independence day everyone

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his wayPsalm 37:23

God‘s will is to lead you on a day-by-day basis. He’s given His Spirit to guide you every day.

Most believers don’t know that. They expect God to reveal His complete will for their lives in one big revelation. Don’t make that mistake. Don’t just sit around waiting for God to show you whether or not He wants you to go to Africa for the rest of your life.

Let Him begin to lead you in little things first, to tell you what you need to do about this situation or that one. He’ll show you what you need to change. And, as He does, you’ll change one thing at a time.

The truth is, you probably already know one thing God wants you to do. You might not know why He wants you to do it. You may not know where it’s leading, but you’ve heard His voice in your heart.

If you want to keep on hearing Him, you’ll have to set aside your own ambitions and desires. Spend time in prayer and in the Word. Tune your ear to the voice of His Spirit.

Learn to trust Him. Remember that He’s smarter than you are and be willing to do what He says whether you can understand it with your mind or not. Obey even His smallest instructions. If you do, He’ll eventually change your whole life…one little step at a time.

God is absolute Truth

God is absolute Truth

The Greatest Power

“By my great power I have made the earth and all its people and every animal.” (Jeremiah 27:5)

Much mystery (and ignorance) results from the fact that God’s Spirit transcends our five senses of sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. He can only be perceived by our spirit–that unseen part of us that is renewed at salvation.

David Livingstone was the first European to explore much of central Africa over one hundred fifty years ago. He led expeditions that pushed deep into the jungles and savannahs–often thousands of miles at a stretch.

While traveling along the Zambezi River in south-central Africa, Livingstone became the first European to set eyes on Victoria Falls. The massive falls plunge 360 feet to the earth below. Some in Livingstone’s party might have thought they had discovered the world’s greatest source of natural power. But as Livingstone knew, they had done no such thing.

When you discover what it means for the Holy Spirit to be active in your life, you experience a power greater than anything else. The power from a hydroelectric dam can light up a city. But the power of the Holy Spirit touches eternity itself. Unfortunately, to most people, this power is just as hidden and mysterious as Victoria Falls in the days before Livingstone.

Through your spirit you have a relationship with the living God, who is Spirit. We cannot touch Him physically, though we can be touched emotionally by Him. We cannot see Him, yet we can see His fingerprints in the world around us. We cannot hear His voice, though we can listen for His guidance.

Your View of God Really Matters …

Ask God to empower you by the unlimited power of His Holy Spirit to live a life pleasing and acceptable to Him today. Then, tomorrow, ask Him to do it again.

What More Does God Say?

Romans 11:34-36

Because God is all-powerful, He can help me with anything.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God is Merciful

God is merciful

“He was lost, but now he is found” (Luke 15:24)

John Newton‘s mother was a devoted Christian, but she died when he was a child. As a young man, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, an English sea captain. He joined the British Royal Navy but was discharged for unruly behaviour. He moved to the western coast of Africa and worked for a slave trader. He eventually became captain of a slave ship, treating the slaves despicably. What a loathsome man he had become!

On one voyage, a fierce storm severely battered his ship. Fearing for his life, he surrendered himself to God. Over the next few years as he became convinced that slavery was abhorrent, he gave up slave trading and crusaded against slavery. His life changed so much that he even studied to become a minister. Soon, he became known as the “old converted sea captain” all because he had personally encountered the living God. Eventually, he wrote one of the most famous hymns in the English language, Amazing Grace. In it, he describes his own transformation:

“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.”

Who else but almighty God could change a calloused slave trader into a compassionate minister and anti-slavery crusader? Have you experienced this change? If He could change John Newton, He can certainly change you.

The more I get to know Him, the more peace, joy, love, and excitement I experience. It has been my greatest adventure. He has proven to be my best friend, someone I can trust in every situation.

Your View of God Really Matters …

If you have experienced the marvellous revelation of God’s amazing grace, think of one significant way it has affected your life. Then ask God to show you one person who needs to hear your story.

What More Does God Say?

Luke 15:11-32 (part 1); Luke 15:11-32 (part 2)

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Jesus is alive today

Jesus H. ChristChrist is alive today

Matthew 4:23 says: “Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”

When we look at Christ today, we rejoice and we glory and we give Him praise. We shout for how wonderful it is that He healed people in the past. We shout for all of the miracles that He has done.

But He’s still the same!

He’s not just the Jesus of Galilee. He’s the Jesus of Nigeria, Africa, Israel, America, Europe, and Asia.

He is the Lord of wherever we are. He wants to be the Lord that heals our families and our homes. The Bible says if we will pray the prayer of faith, the Lord shall raise them up. That’s talking about Jesus. He is in your present right now. If you will simply say, “Lord Jesus Christ , take my sickness away today”, and thank Him from this moment on, you will be one who knows that Christ is alive today.

He is alive!

A winning mindset; be ready to start small

A WINNING MINDSET.

You need to have a mind-set of
winners if you want to rise above failure and limitations in life. Stop making
excuses and blaming everyone for your problems. No doubt, your present
challenges might be traceable to negative circumstances surrounding your life.
Nevertheless, that should not in any way deter you from achieving success or
financial prosperity. There are probably a dozen reasons why you should settle
for mediocrity and failure. Such excuses could include; I am an orphan. My parents
are very poor. The government has no social welfare for indigent youths. I
don’t have a university degree. I come from a broken home. I am a teenage
mother. I am too young; I come from a minority group. I am a college dropout.
My mother is a prostitute. My father is the devil incarnate etc. Well, I do
empathize with you. However, you must realize that those unfortunate
circumstances are not enough to keep you down. You can rise above adversity and
forge ahead in life. Consider the following scenarios and real-life
testimonies.

Your
favourite movie star Genevieve Nnaji does not have a university degree yet, but
she is making waves and earning fat. She recently signed a mega modelling
contract worth $75,000. Dr Cosmas Maduka of Coscharis group fame had a rough
childhood with extreme deprivation. Today, his business empire transcends the
shores of Africa. Agbani Darego was an obscure young lady before she clinched
the highly coveted Miss World Crown as the first black African; and she was
just a teenager. General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) and General Buba Marwa both
lost parents early in life and had to grow up with foster parents. That did not
stand in the way of their reaching the heights of their military career. Jay
Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo and a host of other football stars had very humble
backgrounds but today they are highly celebrated football stars. The list is
endless and a pointer to the fact that whatever the odds against you, you can
put those limitations under your feet and become an achiever!

BE
READY TO START SMALL

You might have dreams of soaring
beyond the skies; but seeing those dreams come to fruition will not come by a
magic wand. You must be ready to start small. Take legitimate opportunities as
they come your way. In fact, take the bold step and go in search of the
opportunities. Don’t wait for that super job in a blue chip company or in a
multinational firm before you get busy. Blessings do not drop from the skies so
stop wasting time. If you need to go to school part-time so as to be able to
work and earn an income, go ahead and do so. Even if the salary is paltry, stay
there and gain some experience. Be faithful, disciplined, diligent and
persistent; and blessings will locate you. Nobody ever said that success comes
easy. There are sacrifices to be made, but you must remain focused. It might
take a while, but by the grace of God, things will gradually start looking up
for you.
