Remember how handsome, smooth and sculpted his body was, the first day he swept you off your feet!
Remember how happy he was making you, his wife.
He is still that handsome, quiet, unassuming man that you once loved! Though your words and betrayals have broken his spirit many times, but he is still resilient!
He now carries your burden, your children’s burden, your parents, your siblings, his parents, his siblings, his stewardship in the house of the LORD or in the mosque. He has to face his angry bosses and overbearing clients. Most times, he breaks down and cry in private! Most times he is afraid of losing his job. He has to do everything possible to put food on your table, clothes on your back and a roof over your head.
That’s why he has to trade his designers for only 3 pairs of shoes:
(1) One for Church,
(2) One cooperate for work
(3) One to switch it up.
5 Shirts for the five working days of the week; 2 black trousers for work and 1 other dark colour.
He eats only once a day, at night, after everybody has eaten, to make sure you are satisfied!
Don’t complain about your husband because he is fat and bald now, he doesn’t like it. After all, you met him with his 6 packs and well-trimmed hairs on his head. Marriage messed up his physique, but not his mind-set.
A FATHER’S AFFECTION AS A PROTECTOR MAKES HIM TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO ALL OF THAT AND HIS ONLY CONCERN IS HIS FAMILY’S WELFARE.
How many women will slap another women on live television, for insulting her husband, but one man WILL?
Remember he once brought you joy and happiness! Tolerated all your entanglements in August, your melodramas and tantrums, gave his best to see you win in life.
No man notices stretch marks on a wife that honours him, but he sees a lot more and will be pushed to say a lot more hurtful things to her, if she keeps provoking him.

Stick To The Word Of God That Stirs You Up In The Things Of God And In The Way Of The Holy Spirit
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 1:2).
Sometimes there’re Christians and even some ministers of the Gospel who are working hard for the God but at the same time struggling with some ailments, some kind of pain or sickness in their bodies. Some say it’s “normal” to get sick, citing the Prophet Elisha who died sick (2 Kings 13:14).
They also reference Epaphroditus that worked with Paul who, in his fervor to serve God, became seriously ill and almost died (Philippians 2:30). Thus, to many, sickness is normal. But no, it’s not! First, the Bible never told us to model or pattern our lives after Elisha or Epaphroditus! Jesus is our example- the One we’re to emulate and the Bible says as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). He was never sick and couldn’t be. He gave us the power to heal sicknesses and cure diseases.
Paul, in 1 Corinthians 11:1 said, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” There’s no record that Paul or the apostles were ever sick. Rather, they healed the sick. Read about Paul and Peter in the Book of Acts: Acts 19:11-12 & Acts 5:15-16.
Follow God’s Word. Model your life after the Word, after Christ, and learn from His great Apostles of faith. They were masters over the elements of this world. They spoke to all manner of sicknesses, diseases, and infirmities; they cast out devils who inflicted these pains on the people. That’s the life we have in Christ.
Refuse to be sick. Stick to the Word of faith that stirs you up in the things of God and in the way of the Spirit. Meditate on the truths of God’s Word. Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” This has already happened now that Christ lives in you. Therefore, arm yourself with this insight and dominate sickness and disease. Rule over the depravities and negativities of this world and their corrupting influences. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
The truth of God is revealed in my spirit and I’m walking accordingly. The Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me, and He has vitalized me through and through! He’s the life and health of my physical body, and the Lord’s righteousness is revealed in my body. Hallelujah!

God Has Not Reject Israel, Israel In The Present And Future
TEXT: Romans Chapter 11 & 12
INTRODUCTION
Paul’s discussion about God’s plan for the Israelites, which he started in Romans 9 and 10, and continued in chapter 11, insitsts that, though Israel as a nation has rejected Christ, a remnant of Jewish Christians exists (v.5), God has hardened the rest in their unbelief (v.7b) until enough Gentiles have come to salvation through Christ (v.11).
COVENANT RELATIONSHIP BASED ON LAWS
Romans 11:1-11, Gal. 3;24-25, John 1:17, 19:7, Romans 3:20-21, Gal: 2:16, 3:11, According to Paul, God has not rejected Israel forever, despite her refusal to come to Christ. Paul points to himself as the first evidence that God has not rejected Israel, he is an Israelite and a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. He insists that God’s relationship with Israel continues (v.2). Although they remain adamant for now to see that following the law will not bring them God’s righteousness, yet God has not and will not reject them. (Ps 94:14, 1 Sam 12:22) God’s decision on Israel is beyond human comprehension. His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob remains forever (Ps 15:4, lev.26:31-42, Judges 2:1, Heb 6.13)
NEW COVENANT BASED ON FAITH
Romans 11:18-24, 3:27, Gal 2:16,20, Eph 2:8, Col 2:7, Paul called the attention of believers to an essential truth; God has offered Himself to the non-Jewish nations through faith in Jesus, while Israel has rejected the gospel of faith in Christ. Their rejection opened the door of salvation to gentiles and we should not boast (v.18) but be humble and remain grateful, (v.21-22). The covenant was with the patriarch, by faith we are saved and not by works. We must endeavour not to lose our salvation but ensure we guard and keep the faith, so that when the re-grafting start, we will remain rooted in the branch
JEWISH AND GENTILE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST
Romans 12:1-21, Matt 5:1-16, Heb.13:16, Jude 1:3,5-6,
Hebrews 2:1, John 4:23-24, A doctrinal teaching on how to live as Jewish and Gentiles believers today, Paul admonish us to keep away from what led to the rejection of the Jews. We are to be a living, breathing sacrifice in service to God. Our service to God and man must be motivated by genuine love and not eye service. To hate what is evil and hold on to what is good and godly. The great privilege we have as believers should not be thrown away by ignorance and wilful sin. We are God’s temple, be holy, bridle our tongue, avoid worldliness, love all men and worship God in spirit and truth. We must be selfless and not selfish. God centred and not self-centred, serving each other. Do not repay evil for evil and allow God to revenge for you. Never be amongst those who condemn Israel’s lack of faith in Christ (anti-Semitism) but always remember (v.3), for we are not the original branches of the natural Olive. Christians are in no way favoured and superior to the Jews, hold on to the faith. Remember God can add or remove!
REJECTORS OF JESUS CHRIST – Matt.8:12,13:28, 7:21-23,26, Ps 19:7, Rev. 20:15 Those who reject the invitation to salvation will be rejected and cast into eternal darkness.
CONCLUSION: God does not owe us anything but has graciously giving us all things that we need in life, therefore we must show gratitude by serving him diligently with everything, 2 Peter 1:3-4

GOD IS STILL IN THE BUSINESS OF GIVING HIS SONS WIVES, MY BROTHER ASK THE LORD FOR A PRUDENT WIFE,
God is still in the business of giving His sons’ prudent wives, let nobody deceive you. The Bible says in Hosea 4:16 that my people perish for lack of knowledge! We will not perish any longer in Jesus Christ name! Amen!
For so many years I believed in my heart that God has stopped picking wives for His sons, after the fall and the blame from Adam in the Garden of Eden, Genesis 3: 12, because that was majorly what all pastors were preaching and still preaching till today and they support with Proverbs 18:22, that glorifies our canal effort instead of Proverbs 19:14, that glorifies God’s sovereignty over our choice and preference.
Wouldn’t it be better to allow the Alpha and Omega to give you a prudent wife! The rib taken from you when you were asleep.
Again, I thought the responsibility of finding a wife now rest exclusively on the men, as I and others like me thought Proverbs 18:22 implies, we have to put in the hard work and when we have the desired result (or we ask the Holy Spirit for signs as could be found in Genesis 24) and finally obtain favor from the LORD!
What a strenuous journey, when we could simply ask God for a prudent wife in prayer. The same way we ask Him for favor, grace, mercy, daily bread, protection, etc. using Proverb 19:14.
I have read my bible from Genesis to Revelations about 6 times, I have come around Proverbs 19:14 a thousand times as a Christian, but that portion of the bible had never made sense to me like it did last week. I wish I had this knowledge before now, just like I wished I heard a sermon on Romans 8:11 my brother wouldn’t have died 20 years ago. There is Great Power in speaking in tongues!
One day I will write about my spiritual encounter and how speaking in tongues saved me.
The funny thing is that, I heard this message from a very young preacher, not an elder, not an established pastor, not a General Overseer, but a young minister of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Coincidently, it was the afternoon, I read how Segun Arinze begged God to give him a wife, 12 years after his first marriage failed.
God still gives prudent wives!
Do you want a wife?
Yes!
Go and find her, then come and receive favor from the Lord!
But do you what a prudent wife?
Yes!
Ask the Lord for her
What does prudent mean:
“Acting with or showing care and thought for the future. Discreet, intelligent, judicious, etc.” the list goes on.

Last week, we concluded the series on Harvest; as part of the Mission’s Explosive Growth Drive for Vision 2032. Today, we shall continue with our study of the book of Romans. Recall that in the last week of April 2024, it was the book of Romans chapters 7 and 8; that we studied. The institution of marriage was used for illustration. Marriage with our Lord Jesus Christ frees us from the bondage of the law and the outcome is the creation of new humanity. Today, we are looking at God’s Sovereign Choice. Our Lord has a choice in every matter and remains the final arbiter. May we always be on the right side of His choice, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
OUTLINE 1 [Romans chapter 9]:
A. Apostle Paul’s Concern for Israel/Jews. Paul was both Jewish and Roman. He served as a Pharisee prior to his conversion, therefore understood Jewish traditions. He was pained concerning their ignorance about Christ. He volunteered to be cut-off from Christ if that would win over his kinsmen to Christ. Romans 9:1-5, Gal 1:20.
B. The Children Of Promise: Being a descendant of Abraham does not make one a child of promise. Similarly, not everyone that is a Christian is truly a follower of Christ. Salvation is for the children of promise that came through the child of promise [Isaac] and NOT the child of flesh [Ishmael]. Romans 9:6-8, Gen 21:12, Gal 3:26-29.
C. God Has A Choice. God chose the seed that came through Sarah rather than Hagar. God decided the fate of Esau and Jacob even before they were born. Why? So that His purpose might be fulfilled. He had a choice on what Jeremiah the prophet should be. God has a choice in the affairs of men. Romans 9:9 & 11-13, Gen 18:14, Gen 17:20-21, Jeremiah 1:5.
D. God Is No Respecter Of Persons.: Whether you be Jew or Gentile, God is no respecter of persons. He made it clear to Moses. Apostle Peter also re-echoed it when he visited Cornelius in Caesarea. Romans 9:15-16, Acts 10:1-2, 34.
E. God Can Use Anybody.: As part of His prerogative to choose, He used Pharaoh to show His power, so that God’s name be declared throughout the earth. Remember, the Potter has power over the clay. Romans 9:17, Exodus 7:13, Exodus 9:13-16, Romans 9:21.
F. Seek Righteousness By Faith And Not By Works: For this reason, Jesus Christ came to show us the way. Romans 9:31-32, Romans 1:17.
OUTLINE 2 [Romans chapter 10]:
A. Paul’s Desire For Israel: That Israel might be saved. They have the zeal for things of God but go about it the wrong way. They based their righteousness on the law, rather than faith Christ. Romans 10:1-3, Acts 21:20.
B. Christ Is The End Of The Law. For believers, Jesus Christ is the end of the Law. Our obedience to the Law is no longer the basis of our relationship with God. We have the Word of faith in our mouth and hidden in our heart; so, speak it and do it! Romans 10:4,8, Psalm 119:11, Luke 2:19.
C. Salvation Is Available to All. Salvation is a gift from God. It is not by works, but by faith. Romans 10:9-10, Matt 10:32.
D. Call To Duty. Unbelievers can be saved if they call on the Lord. Can they call on Him if they have not heard about Him? Who will tell them? Romans 10:14-15, Isa 52:7.
E. How You Can Receive Faith: Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Romans 10:17, Col 3:16.
CONCLUSION
God is sovereign and in Him resides the power to choose. His choice in some cases are beyond human understanding. That is why He is God. Salvation is a gift of God received through faith in Christ Jesus.
Finally, Jesus Christ is our righteousness [Jeremiah 23:6] through faith in Him and not by works,

The first and most important aspect of preparing your mind to glorify God is its renewal. This is the first thing you must do in learning to use your mind right. In Romans 12:2, the Bible says: “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude] so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]” (Amplified). You’ve got to have new ideals and attitudes, and be changed by the entire renewal of your mind.
This is a complete overhauling of your mind, not just a change in some areas or aspects. And this doesn’t just happen overnight; it’s something you must do consciously and continually. In 2 Corinthians 4:16, Paul said his inward man was “renewed day by day.” This is what should be happening with you as well; your inward man should be changed, transformed, renewed day by day. I told you the exciting thing about the mind is that its contents and processes can be managed, reorganised or re-programmed. This is exactly what Paul is talking about here when he says to renew your mind. Your mind must be renewed in content and processes. This is a taxing but worthy exercise, and the only potent instrument to achieve this effectively is the Word of God.

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed (Acts 16:25-26).
In the sixteenth chapter of the book of Acts, Luke tells us an inspiring story of how Paul and Silas were incarcerated; persecuted for preaching the Gospel. They were put into the inner prison, in chains; their feet were fastened in stocks. But something happened as they began to sing joyfully: there was an earthquake to bring them out of prison.
Many times, all we do is make requests in prayer. But there’s power in praising the Lord joyfully. The Bible says “Rejoice evermore” (1 Thessalonians 5:16). There’ll always be circumstances and situations that’ll try to get your attention and knock your joy off. Sometimes, it may be some wave of bad news to make you sad and angry or some issues on your mind. Whatever the case, refuse to worry; be joyful in praise to the Lord.
The Bible says, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully” (1 Peter 5:7 AMPC). And then He says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV).
Someone might say, “I only get anxious when the issues get very serious.” No, Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God, believe also in me” (John 14:1). Yes! Nothing should ever trouble you. That’s why it’s important to meditate on the Word of God. Through meditation on the Word, you’re conditioned to have the right mindset; you can’t but be joyful!
The Prophet said, “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God…” (Isaiah 61:10). The psalmist said, “And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation” (Psalm 35:9). The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 21:16, “…have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?” Learn to praise the Lord joyfully always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, my heart is filled with the joy and laughter of the Holy Spirit today. The joy of the Lord in my life is independent of circumstances. It doesn’t matter what news or event tries to make me unhappy; I’m always joyful in the Holy Ghost, with whom I’m ever victorious. Hallelujah! Amen

The church is called “…the house of God, …the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15). This is why it’s so important for every Christian to be a committed member of a church (a local assembly). It’s a place of uplifting, and, as David said, you should be excited to attend every time.
The Lord Jesus said, “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you” (John 15:3). He builds, cleanses, and perfects you through His Word. So, if you don’t give yourself to the ministry of the Word, you’ll make unnecessary and sometimes costly errors (Mark 12:24). This is why coming together with God’s people is very essential. It’s one of the ways that you present yourself to the ministry of the Word, through the Holy Spirit.
There’s so much you’ll learn in church that will guarantee you the God-kind of success, and a gloriously bright future when you put them to work. So don’t plan to miss out on the next church meeting!

LET’S TALK
Our opening scripture tells us something striking about the Kingdom of God that we’re a part of: it’s a majestic Kingdom full of glory and power! In God’s Kingdom, there’s beauty and splendour, and we need to have our spiritual eyes open to see and appreciate the awesomeness of God’s glorious Kingdom that we were born into! It’s a Kingdom where sickness isn’t real! It’s a Kingdom where defeat is foreign, where you just can’t lose or be disadvantaged!
This is the Kingdom to which you belong. 1 Peter 2:9 AMPC proves this: “…You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” See that? We’re the ones to produce glory in the Kingdom, and spread it abroad, hallelujah!
As you function with the mindset of one that can’t be defeated—a victor who’s super-intelligent, and excellent all the way—you show forth the glory of the Kingdom. Glory is that which inspires honour and produces worship; as you function in the Kingdom, doing and saying things that’ll inspire honour, reverence, praise, and worship of the Lord, you reveal the glory of His eternal Kingdom.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart (Luke 18:1 NKJV).
The Lord Jesus was very prayerful when He walked the earth. The Bible says, “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed” (Mark 1:35). In another instance, Luke recorded that “…he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God” (Luke 6:12). He had an effective prayer life, which the Bible enjoins us to emulate.
He said in Luke 18:1, “…men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” The Apostle Paul reiterated the same thing; he said, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). In 1 Timothy 2:8, he said, “I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” This is God’s admonition to us. We’re to live a life of prayer. How important this is!
Having an effective prayer life isn’t just so we could fulfil some religious obligations, no! This is where a lot of people miss it. First, prayer is a privilege; it’s a right given to us to communicate with the Father in faith, through His Word, and by the Holy Ghost. That opportunity that’s given to us to pray is something the Father always wants us to seize.
Secondly, when Jesus said men ought always to pray and not to faint, He was looking at the connection that we have with the Father in our constant communication that builds faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). Through that fellowship, we keep hearing the Word because the Father always speaks; He always talks to us; He always shares His Word with us.
That’s why Paul taught us to pray, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14). The word “communion” is translated from the Greek “Koinonia”, which also means fellowship. Learn to take time away from everything else to talk to the Lord in prayer; it’ll bring an extraordinary transformation into your life that you never thought possible.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the extraordinary benefit of an effective prayer life. I take advantage of the privilege and opportunity of prayer; I pray in the authority of the Word and its revelation and insight. Even now, I pray for men everywhere, proclaiming the favour of God and dominion of righteousness over the nations and their leaders, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
