Announce The Good News Of Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son Of God

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead (Romans 1:1-4).         

The Bible says Jesus was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. He’s alive forevermore! Something else so beautiful to notice is the actual meaning of the phrase “Son Of God”; it means God in human flesh. And that’s why the Jews crucified Jesus because, by their law, Jesus made Himself equal with God when He said He was the Son of God.

But He is Himself God; that’s what the Bible shows. Titus 2:13-14 calls Him “the Great God:” “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” This is the Jesus that I tell you about.

In Acts 1, after His resurrection, as He spoke with His disciples and answered their questions, the Bible says, “…while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight” (Acts 1:9). They saw Him go up to heaven; He didn’t suddenly vanish; He levitated before their eyes. Hallelujah! The Bible says they “…looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up…” (Acts 1:10).

That was the most glorious thing to ever happen in this world: Jesus, not only did He rise from the dead, but also physically levitated—and they watched Him as He went up into heaven. Blessed be God! The Bible says two men appeared in white apparel and said to the disciples: “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). This is the same announcement we must make to the whole world today.

Tell everyone throughout this world that Jesus was raised from the dead and that He ascended to heaven. He’s coming back again! It’s your job to announce this good news everywhere. Let those around you know that Jesus is coming back again, and it’s sooner than they imagine.

CONFESSION

I’m bold and passionate in my intent to preach the Gospel to all those around me, for I’m the bearer of the Lord’s glory and righteousness in the world, the distributor of His mercies and grace. I pray now, that righteousness is poured forth upon the nations today, resulting in an avalanche of souls coming into the Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

 The Cleansing Word Of God. Stay Clean With God’s Word And Spirit

TO THE BIBLE

 1 Peter 1:2 RSV  “Chosen and destined by God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you .”

If your mind isn’t constantly renewed and sanctified by God’s Word, it would occasionally pick up the wrong stuff and act them out. This is because the carnal pictures, images, words, ideas, and imaginations that were in your mind before you were born again don’t automatically leave your mind! You’d have to replace them with God’s holy thoughts, His holy words, and the manifestation of His Kingdom. His Word is the divine cleanser as Jesus said in John 15:3 AMPC: “You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].”

After you’re born again, the Spirit of God uses His Word to take the “dirt” out of your life. He cleanses your mind because even though your spirit is born again and alive to God, your mind still needs to be renewed: “…Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2).

Then in John 17:17, He said, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” God’s Word displaces unrighteousness from a person’s heart and replaces it with God’s righteousness. It wipes out fear and replaces it with faith.

Colossians 3:16 tells us, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom….” Those desires to make the wrong choices, or to go in the way of the world and act like you used to before coming to Christ, can only be gotten rid of through God’s Word. Therefore, cleanse yourself with God’s Word, and stay pure in Him today and always.

What is the legacy I want to leave behind? This is the legacy I want to leave behind. I want it to be said of me, like God said of Abraham in the Bible, Genesis 18:17-18.

Genesis 18:17-18 says :”And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgement; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ Jesus. Exploring The Benefits That Come With Being Justified Righteous In The Eyes Of God By Our Faith In Christ Jesus

TEXT: ROMANS 5:12-21

INTODUCTION/SUMMARY

The book of Romans is highly praised for clearly articulating key doctrines such as man’s Sinfulness, Justification by faith, Regeneration, Union with Christ, Adoption, and Sanctification. The book of Romans is known for its rich, deep, glorious, and at times unsettling theological assertions and implications.

Running through chapters 1 -4, Paul highlights how humanity deliberately walk and continue to walk in disobedience; and that man, Jews and Gentiles alike needed restoration. He further declares the goal of his apostleship which is to bring about the obedience of faith clarifying that believing and obeying must necessarily go together and should never be pitted against each other.

Today, we are continuing the study looking at chapters 5 and 6, to review Paul’s comparison of Adam and Christ Jesus; and what their choices brought to humanity (world), exploring the benefits that comes with being justified righteous in the eyes of God by our faith in Christ Jesus and negating the common misconception about salvation by grace through faith.

CHAPTER 5:

The key objectives of studying chapter 5 is to further understand how God demonstrated His love for mankind, by taking the first step to reconciliation not waiting for man to be strong and perfect but while we were still sinners sent Jesus Christ to die for us.

2. That we are no longer enemies of God because of sin but reconciled forever children of God through Christ.

3. That by one man (Adam) the whole of humanity was dead in sin and by one man (Jesus Christ) humanity is now dead to sin and restored by faith,.

4. That faith in Christ Jesus, not works is the means by which God declares us righteous and justified.

Outlines:

Faith in Christ Jesus and the cross is the way to salvation/Justification; and therefore the foundation of our walk with God. Is salvation/Justification solely by faith?

Benefits of justification – Rom 5:1-4

• Peace with God

• We stand in God’s grace

• We have hope for eternal glory

By one man’s disobedience all were made sinners – Gen 3, Rom 5:12-14.

Solidarity in guilt implies solidarity in penalty – Romans 6:23, Ezekiel 18:4

Sin and death principle – Psalms 51:5, Psalms 58:3, Job 14:4

By obedience of One (Christ Jesus) all are made righteous by faith Romans 5:15-19

CHAPTER 6:

The key objective in this chapter is

1. Refute the misconception that grace is latitude for sin – Rom 6:1-2.

2. Paul’s admonition that Christians should not continue in sin, once they have been declared righteous by God.

3. How a Christian sees himself is an important component of the “obedience of faith”

Crucified with Christ Rom 6:3-6

**Apostle Paul throw more light on what happens when a person comes to faith in Christ on a spiritual level – he said such a person experiences spiritual death to sin, rather than to God; and a rebirth that equals Jesus’ own physical death and resurrection. The person is then raised to a new spiritual life.

Not a slave to sin – Rom 6:4-14

Consider yourself dead to sin – Rom 6:11

Lifestyle of volunteer slavery to righteousness – 6:15-23

Church Security. God protects His Church. God is deeply interested in the spiritual and physical safety of His Church

INTRODUCTION:

The Almighty God is deeply interested in the spiritual and physical safety of His Church. God protects His Church. We should be prepared to do what needs to be done to protect ourselves, but our overall safety is of the Lord. See Proverbs 21:31; Psalm 127:1.

It will therefore be foolish not to take the measures that are within our purview to protect ourselves.

There is a general misconception that since our security is in the hands of God, we do not need to bother ourselves much about security issues.

Indeed Psalm 91 and Psalm 127:1 and many others offer solid assurances to us about God’s protective shield over His children. But we will also note that David who wrote Psalm 91, 46, 23 and many others had body guards. See 2Chronicles 11: 24 – 26; 2 Samuel 23:22-24.

David chose the best among the warriors as his own personal security guards. Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was one of David’s “mighty men”, a collection of the very best, the toughest military men.

The Bible describes Benaiah as a fearless warrior noted for his heroic exploits. 1 Chronicles 11:22. Throughout his reign David maintained a very powerful standing army. 2 Samuel 8:18; 20:23; 23:23; 1Chronicles 18:17.

God expects us to be mindful of our physical security. 

GOD IS INTERESTED IN SECURITY

Security as a concept originated from God. God takes security very seriously; He neither sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4). See also Genesis 3:24; Isaiah 14:12-20; Revelation 12:7-9. God is actually the Commander of the host of heaven – He is charge of the security of the world. God is Jehovah Sabaoth. Psalm 46:7. God watches after the world. Psalm 127:1.

There are biblical references which support the view that God is invested and interested in security.

In Genesis 3:24, we see a cherubim guarding the Garden of Eden with a flaming sword.

The Bible describes Angel Michael in terms that reflect his status as a warrior leading an uncountable number of very powerful fighting angels who excel in strength. Psalms 103:20. 

Michael the Archangel is in a sense, Heaven’s 5-star General. See Daniel 10:1321; 12:1; Revelation 12:7-8. 

Believers must therefore note the following facts:

1. It is God, not humans that invented security. Genesis 3:24, Isaiah 14:12-20; Revelation 12:7-9.

2. God has emplaced security in the present heaven. Isaiah   14:12-20; Revelation 12:7-9. 

3. God deployed security to guard the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:23-24. 

4. God has designed a security architecture for the coming New Heaven and New Earth. Revelation 21:12. The gates of the New Heaven and New Earth will be guarded by angels. Revelation 21:27.

5. Our protection is God’s duty, and this is guaranteed. See    Psalm 121:4. 6. God deploys chariots for the protection and defence of His choice vessels whose destinies and ministries are tied to destinies of nations. See 2Kings 6:16-18. 7. We must fulfil our part in God’s security architecture for the Church. Do not take chances with Church security. See Ephesians 4:27, 1Peter 5:8.

PYSICAL SECURITY IN THE BIBLE

There are many instances in the Bible to support the view that God wants us to be proactive concerning our physical safety.

Moses defended the daughters of Jethro when other shepherds drove them and their flocks away from the watering place. See Exodus 2:16-17.

The ancient congregations of Israel had gatekeepers who watched out for danger. Let us not be “in the spirit” such that we neglect to do the things that God requires us to do for our safety. See 1 Chron 9:21-24, Nehemiah 4:10-23. But more critically, see Luke 22:36.

The Church must protect itself from enemies that will easily harm us if we are not watching.

God expects us to be wise. See also, Numbers 1:53, 2Kings 11:7, 11, Esther 8:10-11, Exodus 2:16-17, Judges 2:16, Psalm 94:16, Ezekiel 33:1-9, Luke 22:36-38 and Psalm 144:1, 6.

The Bible has a lot to say about not ignoring physical safety.

In Luke 22:36, the Lord directed His disciples to carry a sword for protection.

Paul the Apostle was kept from those who would have harmed him on many occasions. See Acts 9:25; 17:10; 19:30; and 23:10.

Nehemiah trusted God for the safety of the children of Israel but they held swords in one hand for their protection as they built the broken-down walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah 4:18.

Father Abraham had trained security guards. Genesis 14:14.  

The Lord told us to turn the other cheek in Matt 5:39, but this was within the framework of self-control in personal interactions. He commanded the disciples to be armed for their protection in perilous times or situations. See Luke 22:36-38.

Consider this:

1. The Levites were not only to help the priests in their service and administration, but also to be guards for the Tabernacle, and later for the Temple. See Numbers 1:53.

2. Benaiah who was a member of King David’s team tagged his mighty men, was the son of Jehoiada, a priest. See 1Chron 11:21-23; 12:27.

3. After the usurper, Queen Athaliah had reigned for eight years, the High Priest Jehoiada had Levites who were Temple guards to serve as the personal bodyguards for Prince Joash as he was crowned the King. See 2 Kings 11:17-11.

4. God always raised men and women in the mould of military leaders to rescue Israel from their oppressors. See Judges 2:16. 

5. When Mordecai became the Prime Minister of Persia, he authorized the Jews to defend themselves if attacked. See Esther 8:9-11.

6. In the Old Testament, God promised the Israelites that they would dwell in the land in safety if they obeyed His commandments. He was guaranteeing their safety. Deuteronomy 12:10. See Leviticus 25:18–19; 26:37. The Israelites defended themselves against the Amalekites after leaving Egypt. See Exodus 17:8-16. 8. The Lord Jesus taught His disciples the importance of self-defence. See Luke 22:35-36. 

CONCLUSION

Children of God must be actively involved in designing physical security measures to keep worshippers safe. There were angels all around baby Jesus, but Joseph played his part.

Matthew 2:12-15. Believers must proactively prepare for unforeseen security challenges.

Proverbs 22:3. We must responsibly protect our worship places and homes.

Luke 11:2. Saints of God must be security conscious at all times, but not out of fear.

Matthew 24:43. It is Biblical to defend ourselves against attackers, in concert with state security agents. 

Esther 8:10-11. We are to watch and pray.

Mathew 26:4. Vigilance must precede our prayers. Vigilance should and must be our watchword at all times. The fact is security begins with you the individual. You are in reality the best security officer for your life and personal property. It is true that as children of God, we are encompassed with a network of angelic guards (Psalm 91:1, 11-12) and in some cases, human security operatives, but we must take charge of our personal and collective safety. This has to remain our personal nonexchangeable responsibility (Nehemiah 4:9).

Your Body Belongs To God.

 Romans 12:1 NIV “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

In his letter to the Romans, Paul addressed his brothers and sisters in Christ and not the people of the world, admonishing them to present their bodies as holy sacrifices to God. Realise that being born again, you were paid for, and your body belongs to God; He only made you its custodian, but it’s actually His property: “For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20).

Don’t give your body to sin, sickness, wickedness, lust or even the devil for his works. Give your body to the Lord! Let Him have the sole right to decide what happens to and with your body. And you’ll be amazed at what will happen in your life, for His glory will be revealed in you! Amen.

 Though the Lord is on high, yet He regards the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar. Psalm 138:6

THE STUDY OF THE BOOK OF ROMANS. CREATION OF A NEW HUMANITY

TEXT: ROMANS 7:1-7, 12, 21-23, 25; 8:1 – 4, 9-11,14, 35-37

INTRODUCTION: The general theme of Paul’s letter to the church in Rome was the righteousness of God. In our earlier studies, we learnt that all humanity is hopelessly guilty of sin and needs to be rescued. Though the Jewish believed they were better off than the non-Jewish as God gave them the law or Torah to guide the way they lived, we saw that they were wrong, as they are as sinful as the rest of humanity. We learnt that there can be no salvation based on obeying the law. God loves humanity and because of His righteousness, He made provisions for saving humanity by sending Jesus Christ as a Messiah to die as a sacrifice for sin. Jesus also resurrected thereby making life available to all people. Once we have faith in Christ, we are given a new status, become a member of a new family, forgiven our sins, have a new future and can begin a journey of a transformed life by God’s grace. Last week, we examined death through Adam and Life through Christ, emphasizing that justification by faith in Christ creates new humanity and is the only way to salvation. Also, by baptism we identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus to live a new life. We also discussed the availability of Grace, concluding it is always available. Today, we continue to look at God’s creation of a new  humanity, by closely examining the law and its purpose and what the actual problem of humanity is, concluding  in chapter 8 that the real solution is Jesus and the Spirit that enable people fulfil the call of the commands to  love God and their neighbour.

OUTLINE 1

I. FREED FROM THE LAW/AN ILLUSTRATION FROM MARRIAGE – ROMANS 7: 1 – 6:

• The law only has authority over the living: Romans 7:1-3.

• Union with Christ frees from bondage of law: Romans 7: 4- 6.

ii. LAW AND SIN – ROMANS 7: 7 – 12

• The law is not sin but reveals what sin is: verse 7.

• Without law, there is no sin and sin is dead. Sin produces evil desires: Romans7: 8; Romans 4:15; 1Corinthians 15:56

• With the law and commandments, all will be guilty and die: Romans 7: 10.

• The Law is holy, just and good – verse 12: 1 Timothy 1:8

iii. INNER CONFLICT/LAW CANNOT SAVE FROM SIN – ROMANS 7: 13 – 25

• The law by itself is spiritual and good because it reveals our sinful nature: Romans7: 14 -16.

• Sin in our natural bodies makes us misbehave – Romans 7:17 – 20; Acts 10:1 -2, 44 – 46.

• Presence of inner conflict – Romans 7:21 – 24;1 Corinthians 10:12; Romans 8: 7 – 8.

• Law cannot save from sin: Romans 7:23 – 25; Romans 8:3

• Be a slave to God’s law – Romans 7:25;

I. SPIRITUAL FREEDOM/FREE FROM INDWELLING SIN – ROMANS 8: 1 – 11

• Justification by Grace through faith in Christ alone – verse 1-4; Galatians 2:19; Romans 5:21; Ephesians 2:8-9.

• Carnal mind vs Spiritual mind/Sanctification and the work of the Holy Spirit: verse 5-11.

ii. LIFE THROUGH THE SPIRIT – ROMANS 8: 12 – 17

• Put to death the flesh and live: Romans 8:13: Galatians 5:17, 19 – 21;2 Corinthians 5:17.

• Adopted sonship with the father – verse 14 – 15

• Children of God: Romans 8: 16 – 17.

iii. FROM SUFFERING TO GLORY – ROMANS 8: 18 – 30

• Delayed gratifications – sufferings now cannot compare with future glory: Romans 8:18-19.

• Spiritual liberty: Romans 8: 21

• There is a period of waiting with expectation and perseverance– Romans 8:23, 25; Philippians 3:21.

• Intercession of the Holy Spirit according to the will of God: Romans 8: 26 – 27.

• All things work together for good to those who love God; the called according to His purpose: Romans 8: 28.

• Christian calling is a foreordained plan: Romans 8: 29-30; Jeremiah 1:5.

iv. GOD’S EVERLASTING LOVE – ROMANS 8: 31 – 39

• We have confidence in God: Romans 8: 31, 33. If God is for us, who can be against us?

• We are assured of God’s wonderful love: Romans 8:32.

• No condemnation for us as Christ died, is risen and sits at God’s right hand of God interceding for us. Romans 8:34.

• We have spiritual victory through Christ, and nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ. Romans 8: 35- 37.

• Inseparable from the love of God. Romans 8: 38 – 39.

CONCLUSION

God’s plan for humanity is to have a unified church – a faith-based, multi-ethnic family as his covenant children, justified by their faith in Jesus and raised with Him from the dead. Only these members of a new humanity – those born again, who surrender to the lordship of Jesus can truly love him. They are free from the law because they died to sin and have their faith in Jesus who died and paid for their sin. They are the ones that can truly love God and their neighbours. They have been given God’s Spirit and are able to call God their father. They are also co-heirs with Christ and will enjoy blessings kept for God’s children. They are assured of God’s eternal love and are inseparable from the love of God. By contrast, those who seem good to the world but are not saved do not have the Spirit of God in them, so they cannot be God’s. The end for sinners is death, whilst the saved pass on to eternal life and can never perish. John 10:28.

Jesus, The Mediator Of The New Testament.

 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God’s consecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out] (Ephesians 3:8 AMPC).         

In Hebrews 9:16, the Bible says, “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.” The word that’s translated “testament” in that verse is the Greek “diathēkē” and it means the last disposition, the last will. The 17th verse says, “For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise, it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.”

It’s saying that as long as the person who made the will is alive, the will has no power; it can’t be effected. But once he’s dead, the will comes into effect. This is telling us about Jesus, the mediator of the New Testament (the new will). So, the question is, what’s in the will that Jesus left for us? What did He assign to us? What did He give us?

Jesus gave us everything that was His; everything, including His life! If a man writes in his will and says, “I’ve given you everything I have,” it’ll be wise to find out what he had. In our theme verse, Paul the Apostle, by the revelation of the Spirit, gives a description of what he was sent to preach about this last disposition, which is the description of the wealth of Jesus that He bequeathed to us—what we have in the will! He called it “…boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out].” How refreshing!

In Colossians 1:12, the Bible says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” Thus, the Father has qualified us to be partakers of the riches of Christ.

How do you walk in it? It’s through the Word. As you study and meditate on the Word, not only will you discover your inheritance in Christ, you’ll also begin to relate with and enjoy all that God has made available to you in Christ Jesus. Acts 20:32 says, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” Glory to God!

No Compromises!  Christianity Is A Call To Righteousness.

 Romans 12:2 CEV “Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.”

Some Christians want to see God’s glory in their lives, but they choose to live differently from what the Word says. It can’t work that way! You’ve got to live in accordance with your righteous nature, and the Word of God is the light that you need to do so.

There’re many things that try to distract you from following the Lord and living according to His Word, but the scripture says, “Don’t be conformed to this world!” Though you’re in the world, you’re not of the world; you’re different and you’ve got a new life in Christ now.

Therefore, don’t compromise! Live in God’s Word. Let nothing of the world lure you because Christianity is a call to righteousness. Right living is a product of righteousness, and the reason you can live right is that God has given you righteousness as a gift (Romans 5:17).

You shouldn’t live like those who have never known the Lord. Live by the Word. We’re Word practitioners (James 1:22); we produce fruits of righteousness. How can you comfortably lift your hands in worship and say, “I love you, Lord,” and not keep His Word? The proof of your love for Him is doing His Word. He said, “If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you” (John 14:15 MSG). Prove your love by living for Him and doing His Word. Manifest His character, His life, and righteousness, and give full expression to that glorious and righteous nature in you.

Together As One With Christ Jesus.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4-6)

God wants us to catch this message and take it to the ends of the earth. He says, you that were dead in trespasses and sin, has He quickened, that is, made alive together with Christ. In other words, when Jesus was on the Cross, we were united with Him in His death. He died as “us” on the Cross. He was “us” on the Cross. When He was crucified, we were crucified in Him. When He died, we died. Hallelujah!

When He was buried, we were buried with Him. When God raised Him back to life, we were raised back to life. We’ve been raised up together and made to sit together with Him in heavenly places. He has become the head of the body; together, we’re now Christ, because we died in Him, were buried in Him, and were raised back to life in Him. Now we’re one with Him!

The Bible says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). We’re joint heirs with Him (Romans 8:17). We’re together as one. Hallelujah! Ephesians 1:22-23 says, “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

He’s the one who fills everything (Ephesians 4:10), yet His fullness is the Church, which is His body. We’re His completeness, and we’re complete in Him: “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:9-10). Praise God!

I affirm that God’s label is on me

I affirm that God’s label is on me, for I am His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. Therefore, as I go about doing good today; my life is filled with God’s goodness and grace. I am led in the path of truth, for the wisdom of God is at work in me. I abhor falsehood, and I am firmly established in God’s Word which makes righteousness manifest in my spirit. Hallelujah. The eyes of my understanding are enlightened with the revelations of God’s Word.

I am in sync with the Spirit, knowing and walking in God’s perfect will for me. Through God’s Spirit, I walk worthy of Him unto all pleasing, fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God’s Word. I am far removed from the arena of assumption, far removed from the corruptive influences of this world. I am seated together with Christ in the place of power; far above all principalities, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come.

I live in dominion over sin, sickness and infirmities, and every opposing force, accusation, or hindrance. Hallelujah. I am one with the Father. The Lord has sent His angels before me to minister for me daily! As I affirm the Word, they’re dispatched to establish the words of my mouth and ensure that the words that I speak do not come back to me void. I am never alone because the host of heaven are with me always! Glory to God. Amen.

THE ANOINTING CAN BE DANGEROUS

“Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” – (Psalm 105:15)

READ: 2 Kings 1:9-12

When the anointing is handled positively, its effects are similar with handling electricity positively. When electricity is handled properly, it can produce light and heat just like with the microwave, but when handled carelessly, it can destroy. When handled the right way, the anointing can destroy yokes, according to Isaiah 10:27. However, when it is handled wrongly, it can kill. If a fellow messes around with electricity, he or she will get roasted.

In (2 Kings 1:9-12), a king sent some soldiers to arrest Elijah, and the captain met the man of God sitting on a hill. The captain ordered, “Man of God, come down.” Elijah answered, “So you know I’m a man of God, and you are talking to me like that? Roast!” Immediately, fire came down from heaven and burnt the captain and his soldiers. When the king waited, and those 51 soldiers didn’t come back, he sent another 50 soldiers with their captain. When the captain got there, he saw ashes on the floor. Speaking to Elijah, he was even more rude and said, “Man of God, come down quickly.” Again, Elijah roasted them. When people disdain the anointing, it may cost them their lives.

Years ago, when the military was ruling in Nigeria, the then-military head of state wanted to become a democratic ruler. His spiritual advisers told him that what he wanted to do would not succeed because of a man called Adeboye, who was always praying for the country in the Redemption Camp (now Redemption City). I was in the camp when one of my children who was privileged to hear the information came and said, “Daddy, you have to travel quickly, they are coming for you.” Although I am anointed, I was troubled. Fortunately, my wife wasn’t there when the message was delivered. Later that night, I told her that I wanted to go and pray. While I was praying, God spoke. He said, “Don’t worry about him, I have taken care of the situation.” Though it was the month of June, God told me to tell people to wish each other a happy new year during the Holy Ghost service. The Holy Ghost service held on a Friday, and by Sunday, the military dictator had been removed permanently.

Don’t joke with the anointing. One of the biggest mistakes we make as Christians is that we tend to get too familiar with the anointing. When people find an anointed man of God who is humble, there is a tendency to get overfamiliar with him, and this can be dangerous.
