THE
EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH MUCH

You can
change hopeless situations (James 5:16)

Apostle
James lets us know in the scripture above the kind of prayer that changes
things: it is the “effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man.” The Amplified
version renders it beautifully: “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a
righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
Someone may say “O, I now know why my prayers have not been producing results;
it’s because I’m not righteous!” well, the question is, are you born again? If
you’re born again then you’re righteous, which means you can change hopeless
situation through prayer.

When God
told King Hezekiah he was going to die (2 Kings 20:1), the Bible says “He
turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord” (2 kings 20:2). He
prayed earnestly and the Lord said: “I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy
tears: behold, I will heal thee….And I will add unto thy days fifteen years (2
Kings 20: 5-6). Miracles happen when we pray the right kind of prayers.

The prayer
that works, the kind of prayer that changes hopeless situations is that which
is earnest, heartfelt and continued. This kind of prayer touches your emotions
and your soul. It’s serious business because you desire to see a definite
change. It’s direct in purpose; you’re praying fervently with a deep feeling of
conviction. You tell yourself, “I’m not going to give up until I’ve seen the
change I desire.”

This was the
kind of prayer Elijah prayed. The Bible says he prayed earnestly that it should
not rain and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six
months. Then he prayed again, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth brought
forth her fruit (James 5:17-18). According to the Bible, Elijah was a man
subject to like passion as we are. In other words, you too can pray earnestly
and turn hopeless situations around.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father! I’m grateful to
know that Your eyes are always upon me and Your ears are attentive to my prayers.
Therefore I’m bold and confident that I can change hopeless situations through
prayer. I rejoice because every time I bow my knees to pray concerning any
situation, I receive answers to my prayers, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother

THERE IS A
FRIEND THAT STICKS CLOSER THAN A BROTHER

…….There is a friend that sticketh
closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24)

In this
world, we all have friends – people who we relate with, talk with, share with,
pray with and whose company we enjoy. But even the best of friends may
sometimes let you down or disappoint you in your hour of need; not because they
want to, but because they may be unavailable, or not have the right words to
say to you at that time. Then of course, it’s possible for them to get tired of
your “issues” and eventually give up on you, because they feel you aren’t going
to change.

But there’s
only ONE Friend that’ll never disappoint, fail, or give up on you! He is never
tired of you! His Name is JESUS CHRIST!
Those who know Jesus Christ as a friend don’t seek the help or favour of men! What
you need is to have a private, personal relationship with Him. And you don’t
need to go looking for Him, for He lives in you! You can talk with Him, and He
will talk to you. He is inside of you, yet He is with you. He can talk to you
inside you, and also talk to you from the outside! He’s the dearest friend you
could ever have, and He has the wisdom and ability to see you through the most
difficult of situations.

The Bible
says “…He (Jesus) is able also to save
them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make
intercession for them”
(Hebrews 7:25).He’ll go any length to help you. He already
proved it through His death for you on the cross. He’ll never give up on you or
condemn you! Let Him be your closest friend; don’t be ashamed to identify
yourself with Him for He loves you exceedingly. He’ll never be ashamed of you
and He will ALWAYS be there for you,
even to the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). Start each day by saying “I love You Lord Jesus!” develop that
relationship with Him through His Word and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus Christ! You’re the
dearest friend I could ever know. No one can love me, believe in me and care
for me the way you do! You’re my best friend and the object of my deepest
affection. I love You with all my heart and desire to know and love You more
and more each day. Thank You for being My Lord, My Master and My Friend! Amen!

Evil company corrupts good habits / manners

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

EVIL COMPANY CORRUPTS GOOD HABITS/ MANNERS

Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” (1
Corinthians 15:33)

Hanging out with the wrong crowd negatively impacts on a
person’s character. That’s the reason the Bible admonishes us not to keep
company with the wrong friends, especially non-Christians. Definitely, such
friends may want to pressurize us to do the things we used to do before we
received salvation in Christ Jesus.

As one who is born again, you must get away from so-called
friends who are capable of exerting negative influences on you. The Bible says “Be
ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers…..” (2 Corinthians 6:14). That
doesn’t mean they have become your enemies, for you ought to still reach them
the gospel of Jesus Christ. But the point is they shouldn’t be your close
companions in life; you shouldn’t be hobnobbing with them anymore.

Also, there’re some in the church who though born again, are
still carnal and behave just like unbelievers. They’re tongue-talking
believers, but there’s no godly piety about their lives. They can advise you to
do the kind of things unbelievers do, and you’ve got to be careful of them as
well.

When Daniel was in a precarious situation, the Bible says he “…..returned home and told his three
friends. Then he said,
‘Pray that God
who rules from heaven will be merciful and explain this mystery, so that we and
others won’t be put to death”
(Daniel 2:17-18 CEV). Isn’t this beautiful? Even
though he was a prophet, he still had friends who could pray with him every now
and then.

Those are the kind of godly friends you ought to keep –
friends who inspire you to pray, win souls and love the Lord more! Friends who
inspire you to go to church and do all the things that God loves; not friends
who dissipate your zeal and passion for the things of the Spirit.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank You
for surrounding me with godly friends who inspire Your love in me, and provoke
me to good works. I ask that You direct my path in such a way that every
relationship I keep will be with those whom you’ve ordained to impact
positively on my destiny in You, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Husbands loves your wives

HUSBANDS,
LOVE YOUR WIVES

Husbands,
love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it
(Ephesians 5:25).

Marriage was
designed by God as a beautiful relationship between husbands and wives. For the
husband, the Bible says he should love his wife “as Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it.” Now,
you know that Christ proved His love for us by the supreme sacrifice of His
life on the cross of Calvary. This gives an indication as to the way and manner
husbands should love their wives: with self-giving and sacrificial love.

That means
the husband ought to be willing to put his wife first, he should protect her,
shield her and be willing to make sacrifices for her. God didn’t make the
husband a taskmaster to his wife, one to be bossing her around and lording over
her. Some husbands love to show their wives who’s boss; if you’re a husband,
you don’t need that. You don’t have to batter or boss your wife into
submission; just love her as Christ loves the church. He loves us, in spite of
our shortcomings and our sins – that’s how husbands ought to love their wives.

The Bible
says,Married men, in the same way, live
with your wives with a clear recognition of the fact that they are weaker than
you. Yet, since you are heirs with them of God’s free gift of life, treat them
with honour; so that your prayers may not be hindered”
(1 Peter 3:7
WNT).  A husband who mistreats his wife
can have his prayers hindered. Things may keep going from bad to worse for him
and he may be crying to God for help, not realizing that his not walking in
love towards his wife is what’s responsible for his dilemma.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank You for the
beautiful and inspiring thought I’ve received today. I realize now, more than
ever the importance of relating with others with Your love. Thank You for
imparting Your love lavishly to my heart, and making me the expression of that
love, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Walk in the steps of Father Abraham

Groom, Texas

WALK IN THE
STEPS OF FATHER ABRAHAM

And Melchizedek King of Salem brought
forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the Most High God. And he
blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abrahm of the Most High God, possessor of
heaven and earth: and blessed be the Most High God, which hath delivered thine
enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. (Genesis 14:18-20).

Abraham was
the first person recorded in the Bible to give tithes. He gave tithes to
Melchizedek over 430 years before the Law was given to the children of Israel,
proving that tithing existed before the Law.

The Bible
tells us Abraham is the father of faith, and that all those who are of faith
are children of Abraham, and we belong to Christ Jesus! “And if ye be Christ’s,
then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians
3:29).

Abraham
demonstrated his faith by giving tithes of all to Melchizedek, who was a
manifestation of Christ to him. The Bible admonishes us to walk in the steps of
the faith of father Abraham (Romans 4:12). When you give your tithes, you’re
walking in his steps of faith. You’re affirming yourself as a child of faith
and a seed of Abraham and you can expect the blessings of Abraham to be yours
also.

Instead of
giving your tithe just because you were commanded to do so, which is good,
start giving it with understanding and by revelation. Begin to act by faith in
giving your tithes. Rejoice and thank God every time you give it. Then you can
enjoy the full benefits of it.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father! You have made
me a partaker of the Abrahamic blessings through Our Lord Jesus Christ. I
present my tithes to You as a token of my covenant relationship with You and
the connection to the Abrahamic blessings. Therefore, the devourer is rebuked
from my finances, every form of sickness is destroyed and failure is completely
removed from my life, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

In everything give thanks

30 Days of Thanks - November 5

IN
EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS

In everything give thanks: for this
is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

God wants
you to live a life of thanksgiving everyday; He wants you to cultivate a
mentality of gratitude regardless of your situation. Someone may ask, “Am I supposed
to give thanks for challenges and problems” The Scripture didn’t say we should give
thank for all situations; it says we
should give thanks in all
situations.  In other words, your life
should be full of thanksgiving no matter the situation. The Bible tells us that
we know that all things work together for good to them who love God (Romans
8:28). Therefore, it doesn’t matter what happens in your life or around you,
give thanks to God, for He has given you the victory already!

No matter
what you face in this life, God expects you to be able to smile, lift your
hands and say, “Lord, I give You thanks!” The Bible says, “Whatsoever ye do in word or
deed, do all in the name of The Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father
by Him”
(Colossians 3:17). The reason the Bible says that you are
peculiar (1 Peter 2:9) is that when everyone is having a hard time, you’re able
to lift your hands in the midst of it all and say, “Lord, I give You thanks!”

You have to understand
that as a child of God, it is impossible for you to be disadvantaged and this
is why the Lord expects you to give thanks. There is no need to complain or
grumble about the situation because you have already overcome! Learn how to get
alone, lift your hands towards heaven and say, “Lord, I give thanks to You!
when you cultivate this lifestyle, angels will always be mobilized on your
behalf and you will live in the will of God. A lifestyle of gratitude attracts
blessings and favour to you. Give thanks to God always!

PRAYER

Lord, I give thanks to You! I lift my
hands in thanksgiving, and I offer to You the fruit of my lips, giving praise
to Your Name. I thank You for making me a master over all of life’s situations
and circumstances. No matter what I face, I have the confidence that victory is
mine, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Holy Spirit adds beauty and colour to our lives

THE HOLY
SPIRIT ADDS BEAUTY AND COLOUR TO OUR LIVES

His Spirit made the heavens
beautiful….(Job 36:13 TNLT)

Have you
ever met someone whose life was “Colourless”? By it I mean things were just
dull and stale and there was nothing inspiring about the person. Such people
are always seeking fulfilment in all the wrong places, but it eludes them.
That’s a sign that such folks have not yielded to the ministry of the Holy
Spirit.

When the
Holy Spirit comes to live in you, He brings colour and beauty into your life!
There will be freshness about your life every single day that can’t be ignored.
If He can only find a way to express Himself in you, your life will be full of
beauty, glory and grace.

When you
study the account of creation in the Bible, you’ll discover that the earth was
a chaotic mass, covered in darkness. But the Bible says that the Spirit of God hovered
over the dark vapour (Genesis 1:1-3). When God spoke and commanded things to
change, guess who went into action? It was the Holy Spirit! He specializes in
beautifying even the worst of situations! When He comes on the scene, the chaos
and disorder vanishes and He brings in colour, order and beauty! All the beauty
that you see in all of God’s creation was produced by the Holy Spirit.

The
Holy Spirit has brought so much beauty and colour into my life and He can do
the same for you. I don’t have any “Blue days” because He makes each day a new
and exciting experience. As you yield to Him, your life will become so full of
beauty and colour that those around you will wonder what you’re doing that
makes you so special. He’ll give you beauty for ashes, such that when people
look at you, they’ll see the beauty and favour of God upon your life.

PRAYER

Precious Holy Spirit of God, You have
come into my life to bring in the beauty, glory and colour of God. I yield
myself to you to have your way in me. I let go of all unnecessary toll and
struggles and I welcome beauty and grace into my every day existence, in the
Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

When Is Jesus Coming Back

WHEN IS JESUS COMING BACK

I wonder, when is our Saviour coming back?

Jesus promised His disciples and us that He would return to
earth some day. When will that be? “[Such things] are not for you to know”,
Jesus said.

And He said unto them, it is not for you to know the times
and the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power (Acts 1:7).

Although God didn’t say exactly when Christ will return, He
told us to be ready.

The Bible says we should be on our guard: “Therefore let us
not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober” (1 Thessalonians 5:6).
This means living the way Jesus wants us to, using our time wisely, and telling
others about God’s Good News.

Rather than be concerned with when Jesus will return, we
should always live as though Jesus can return at any moment.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria
and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

The link between your prosperity and your deliverance

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

THE LINK BETWEEN YOUR PROSPERITY AND YOUR DELIVERANCE

A dear friend of mine, who is a minster of God, once shared
the testimony of how his daughter got sick and wouldn’t get well even after
series of intense prayers. The doctors couldn’t diagnose what was wrong with
the little girl. Her lips became black and everyone who saw her wondered what
kind of sickness she was suffering from. Every attempt at getting the child
well just didn’t work. Then he opened his wardrobe and packed out all his suits
which were about thirty and took them to church, and gave them as an offering.
After a few days of giving that offering, his daughter was restored back to
health!

The Bible says, “A rich man can buy his way out of
threatened death by paying a ransom….” (Proverbs 13:8 AMP). You see, the things
God has given you aren’t just for you to store up and look at. They’re for you
to redeem your soul. They’re for you to ransom your life and that of your loved
ones. There are times when all your talking and quoting of Scripture wouldn’t
be enough. At those times, only a sacrificial offering will settle the problem!
Therefore, all you need do is look around your house and pull out that
sacrifice and place it on the altar of God. A lot of Christians don’t
understand this stuff and that’s why they get into all kinds of trouble.

When you study Solomon’s life you’ll discover that the key
to his success was in his giving; he was a man who distinguished himself with
the amount of offering he brought to the altar. Not even David, his father,
gave as much as he did. This was why God appeared to him after his phenomenal
sacrifice and said, “Ask what you will”  (1 Kings 3:2-5). His giving endeared him to
the heart of God.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for empowering me with everything (including wisdom and substance)
to ward off the onslaught of the enemy in my life and that of my loved ones.
Let the sacrificial offering I bring to Your altar be acceptable sacrifice
that’ll take me to a higher level in life, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

The Virtuous Woman

Image via Wikipedia

THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN

What a girl to do?

Some people have the mistaken idea that a woman should be
very concerned about her looks, up on the latest fashions, and look out for
herself.

But that’s not what God describes in the Bible. The woman
described in proverbs 31 is an excellent wife and mother. She is able to
balance both career and family. It may surprise you that her appearance is
never ever mentioned! This is because the best kind of attractiveness is an
inward beauty. It comes from a woman’s character.

See this woman as an inspiration to be all you can be!

Who can find a
virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies. Her husband
can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She will not hinder him
but help him all her life.

She finds wool and
flax and busily spins it. She is like a merchant’s ship; she brings her food
from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and
plan the day’s work for her servant girls. She goes out to inspect a field and
buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard.

She is energetic and
strong, a hard worker. She watches for bargains; her light burn late into the
night. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fibre.

She extends a helping
hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.

She has no fear for
winter for her household because all of them have warm clothes. She quilts her
own bedspreads. She dresses like royalty in gowns of finest cloth.

Her husband is well
known, for he sits in the council meeting with the other civic leaders.

She makes belted linen
garments and sashes to sell to the merchants.

She is clothed with
strength and dignity, and she laughs with no fear of the future. When she
speaks, her words are wise and kindness is the rules when she gives
instructions. She carefully watches all that goes on in her household and does
not have to bear the consequences of laziness.

Her children stand and
bless her. Her husband praises her. “There are many virtuous and capable women
in the world, but you surpass them all.

Charm is deceptive,
and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly
praised.  Reward her for all she done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

HEAVEN

I wonder what Heaven will be like?

Heaven is a place of tremendous joy – once we get there, we
will like it much more than anywhere we’re ever been. We don’t know yet exactly
what heaven will be like. We only know that it will be wonderful!

In heaven, our bodies will be different from what they are
now. We will be able to recognize each other, but we won’t need food or
sleep.  Everyone who has been saved by
God will be there. This means we will get to talk with people we read about in
the Bible. And we won’t have to worry about the weather – the temperature,
humidity, our income, bills, taxes and expenditures.

We won’t even have to be concerned about what to wear – God
will give us clothes.

Heaven is a wonderful place, filled with joy, love, and
happiness! Amen! (REVELATION 21)

Let Your Light So Shine Before Men

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN

Let your light so
shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father
which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

When you study carefully the words of Jesus in the Scripture
above, you’d discover He didn’t say,” Let your light shine….” Rather, He said,
“Let your light so shine…” In other
words, let your light shine so much, until men see your good works and glorify
your Father which is in heaven. Through this verse of Scripture, Jesus lets us
know that the way to so shine is to
do good works-He equates shinning with good works. So when He says, “Let your light so shine,” He’s saying
in essence, “keep up the good works.”

God wants you to maintain your zeal for good works.

What are the good works? They are works wrought through you
by the power of The Holy Spirit. The Bible lets us know that Jesus performed
many good works (John 10:32). Acts 10:38 tells us that He went about doing good, healing all that were
oppressed by the devil. According to the Bible, you’ve been ordained by God to
do good works (Ephesians 2:10). Jesus said in John 14:12, “……..He that
believeth on me, the works that I do shall he also; and greater works than
these shall he do…..”

You’re anointed to do good works. Therefore, in the
remaining part of 2011, which The Holy Spirit has declared to be our year of shining, keep up your zeal
for good works. Preach the gospel with burning urgency like you’ve never done
before. There’s no better way to shine in life than to share the love of Jesus
with someone else. The Bible declares that they that turn many to righteousness
will shine as the stars forever and ever (Daniel 12:3).

In addition, keep giving in the House of The Lord; be
fervently committed financially in reaching the lost, hopeless and poor in our
society. That way, you’re showing yourself to be God’s peculiar treasure,
zealous for good works (Titus 2:14).

CONFESSION

I’m anointed and
fashioned to produce good works. Just like My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I
do the works of my Heavenly Father: I heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the
dead and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ with power. I’m rich and thoroughly
furnished unto all good works. I’m a helper, a lifter and a giver. Praise God!
Hallelujah! Amen!

THE GOOD NEWS

What is The Good News?

The Good News is that God came to earth as human being (Our
Lord Jesus Christ), paid for our sin, and wants us to live with him in
Paradise.

Why is this Good News? God is offering us freedom, peace,
hope, and eternal life instead of judgement and death.

“This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His
sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scripture
says, ‘It is through faith that a
righteous person has life’”
(Romans 1:17).

That really is The
Good News!

I Wonder What Angels Look Like In Heaven

I WONDER WHAT ANGELS LOOK LIKE IN HEAVEN

The word Angel
means “Messenger.” Angels are God’s messengers and warriors. They are invisible
to us, but in the Bible we read about people who saw angels. Sometimes the
angels revealed their identity and sometimes they didn’t.

Lot showed hospitality to two men and only later found out
they were angels (Genesis 19:1-3).

Manoah and his wife talked to a man but didn’t realize he
was an angel (Judges 13:16).

Other angels revealed themselves right away. Angels appeared
this way to Mary (Luke 1:30), Peter (Acts 12:7), Paul (Acts 27:23), John
(Revelation 22:8-9), and many others. Some of the angels described in the Bible
had wings others didn’t. We don’t know exactly what angels look like in heaven.
But if you are a Christian, you will one day be with them in heaven and know
exactly what they look like.

Train Up A Child In The Way He Should Go

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO

Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will
not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6)

Sometimes we find committed Christians whose children grow
up as unbelievers. You might then want to ask “Who is to blame?” Really, you
can’t always blame such children because it’s the responsibility of parents to
train up their kids in the way of the Lord, for that’s what the Bible says. So
when you see a child that’s not walking on the path of righteousness, chances
are that child hasn’t been trained to choose and walk in that path of life.

If you’re a parent, you ought to have a vision for your
children, especially while they’re still young. Don’t wait till they’re grown –
up before you teach them what to do and how to live. Train them to do what’s
right from their formative years, and when they grow up they’ll continue in
that path.

We talk a lot about Solomon and his wisdom. But it was his
father (David) who trained him to follow the right path in life. David was wise
to guide his son the way he did. When you study the books of Proverbs and
Ecclesiastes, you’ll discover that Solomon hearkened to his father’s counsel.
When God appeared to Solomon and asked what he wanted, he knew exactly what to
ask for since he had been trained aright. His father David taught him to choose
wisdom and esteem it above riches (Proverbs 4:1-5)

There are parents who say, “I try not to impose anything on
my children. I let them make their decisions by themselves.” That’s not what
the Bible teaches; the role of parents transcends just feeding, clothing and
sheltering their children. Parents are to shield their children and wards from
the vices that pervade today’s world, and guide them along the path that’s just
and right.

Don’t forget that our choices in life are influenced by the
information we have. Therefore, when children are not exposed to Holy Spirit
inspired information, they’ll pick up whatever information they find in the
world and make choices based on them. Don’t allow your child grow up in
foolishness; train him with the Word of God and as he grows up, he’ll not
depart from it.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that Your Word will grow mightily and prevail in the life of every child
born into the body of Christ. I ask that you grant the parents the wisdom they
require to train up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord,
such that they’ll be influenced by Your Word and established upon the truth of
the Gospel, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

God loves you more than you can imagine

GOD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE

But God, who is rich
in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in
sins, hath quickened us together with Christ….(Ephesians 2:4-5).

God’s love for us is beyond what our natural mind can
fathom. He loves us more than we can possibly imagine. He proved His love for
us by sending His only begotten son Jesus Christ to die for us on the cross.
Thus we ought to live a joyous and fulfilled life all the time, knowing that
our Heavenly Father loves us with an everlasting love. We’re the cynosure of
His eyes – the object of His unconditional and irrevocable love.

Nothing can separate us from the love of our Heavenly
Father; even when we do something wrong, He doesn’t withdraw His love from us.
The Bible says He loved us even while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8), much
more now that you and I are born again and have the become the apples of His
eyes.

When you understand and appreciate the Father’s love for
you, you’ll realize that it’s impossible for you to pray and not be heard for
the Father delights to hear your voice always and grant you your heart’s
desires. He wants our joy to be full! That’s why He’ll never cease to bless us
and satisfy us with all good things.

I want you to acknowledge today that the Lord loves you more
than you can possibly imagine; He loves you as though you’re the only one on
earth! He loves us more than we love ourselves, and He’s more desirous and
passionate about our success and prosperity than we could ever be. He wants us
to know that nothing – absolutely nothing can separate us from the greatest
love of all with which He had loved us (1 John 3:1)

This is the reason we ought to love the LORD and serve Him
with wholehearted devotion, because He first loved us ( 1 John 4:19). We’re His
number one priority. That’s why He’ll never leave us nor forsake us. He’s with
us at all times to ensure we are successful and victorious in every area of our
lives. His love for us is immeasurable; far beyond what you can imagine.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,
I’m so glad to be the object of Your deep love and affection! I thank You for
loving me with such great and everlasting love! Your love for me is indeed
higher than the highest mountains, and deeper than the ocean. I rest and
rejoice in this love today and all the days of my life, in Jesus Christ Name,
Amen!

Through Faith, We Understand That The Worlds Were Framed By The Word Of God

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

THROUGH FAITH, WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLDS WERE FRAMED BY
THE WORD OF GOD

And he said unto them,
cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast
therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fish
(John 21:6)

On a certain occasion, after His resurrection, Our Lord
Jesus appeared to His disciples as they were rounding off an unsuccessful
fishing expedition. The disciples had toiled all night at sea and caught
nothing. When Jesus appeared to them in the morning, He asked if they caught
anything, and they reply was negative. Jesus then said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the ship
and you shall find”
(John 21:6). The Bible says, “…they threw the net out and could not pull it back in, because they had
caught so many fish”
(John 21:6 TEV).

Now, the big question is: “Where did all the fish suddenly
come from?” The disciples were professional fishermen, and knew all the
intricacies of fishing, yet they couldn’t catch any fish, until the Master gave
the Word. The fish came from the Word of The Master! The Bible says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for. The evidence of things not seen…….through faith, we understand that the
worlds were framed by the Word of God
(Hebrews 11:1-3). The fishes were
framed by the Word of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

In Genesis 1:20 the Bible says God spoke and commanded the
ocean to swarm with fish and all sea life, and the water brought forth fishes. Now,
Jesus, the Living Word of God, speaks again and His Words go out to frame the
fishes. Here, we learn that we can speak the creative word of faith to negative
circumstances and effect a change. Our words, like the words of the Master,
have creative ability, because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
No wonder the Bible says you shall have whatsoever you say (Mark 11:23).

This is one of the secrets to a worry-free life; knowing
that your words can create the realities you want to see in your life. All you
need do is think and talk the Word. Keep talking and calling real what God has
said concerning you, even in the face of unfavourable circumstances. That way,
you’ll effect changes in your job, finances, family, business, academics,
health or character; changes that are consistent with the will of God for you.

CONFESSION

The creative Word of
God is in my heart and in my mouth today, prevailing in my life and effecting
changes in the circumstances around me to conform with God’s Will for my life. I’m
a success and a victor forever, because The Word of God is my life, and it has
delivered to me an everlasting inheritance in Christ Jesus! Amen!

Developing  Bolder and Brighter Kids
by Pastor Joy Amenkhienan

Learn how to take care of your kids from  the stage of growing up (between the ages of 3-7) to the stage of discernment.

The  Growing Up Stage

At this stage, parents should ensure that  their kids attend church services regularly. They should not leave them at home  while they are in church.

It’s also at this stage that parents ought  to start activating their plans for their kids. That’s when they should  compliment their children on whatever they do. This would give them the  boldness to do better next time. They should not be hushed up whenever they try  to say something and emphasis should not be placed on the wrong things they do  but on the good. Parents must also talk their children up. For example, they  don’t need to have passed an examination before you let them know they’re  intelligent. Parents must use faith-filled words in communicating to their  kids.

Most importantly, kids should be properly  dressed at all times. Good dressing gives them self confidence. They should be  neatly and decently dressed at all times. They should wear the best.

The next stage is between ages 8 and 14.

The  Stage Of Discernment

This is a very critical time for the  children. Parents should pay close attention to their kids because whatever  they learn at this age will not be easily forgotten. Here they begin to make  choices about what appeals to them. Here, constant communication between parents  and kids is very important in avoiding wrong influences. The parents should  guard against wrong habits in their kids.

Parents must know their children’s friends.  They have to ensure that their kids have children of like minds and from  Christian homes around them. Playtime should not just be about playing; parents  should ensure that their kids get the right kind of information during leisure.  This includes the right language, the right games, the right movies, the right  books etc.

Kids can write confessions  and place them on their walls or on their bed sides. They can also have  “talking” sessions and engage in Bible games.
