Bless The Lord Oh My Soul And Forget Not His Benefits

“Bless the Lord, o my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy name. Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not His benefits”. Psalm 103:1-2 (KJV).

I come to encourage you to give all the praise and adoration due to Him no matter what you may be going through. Often times we are quick to praise God when good things happen to us and fail to praise Him when it seems that nothing new is happening in our lives. Beloved, the truth is that God is at work in your life even when it seems that nothing is happening. For instance can you think of all the things God brought you through over the years? What about the unseen battles He fought for you? What about the much deliverance that you don’t even know of?

Child of God, understand that the same things that killed, paralysed or maimed others came but God brought you through; the same sickness that killed others, the same route that consumed others, the same job in which others who probably are better than you were sacked, the same food and drink that poisoned others, but God kept you and today you are still alive and well to the glory of His name. Imagine the same challenges that drowned others, God kept you afloat.

Beloved, had it not been the Lord who was on your side when men rose up against you, they would have swallowed you up. When the anger of the wicked was kindled against you and when the streams of evil rose against you, God defended you and kept you. Today as you praise God I challenge you to look beyond your present circumstances and situations because I see them being rolled away. Put on your dancing shoes and dance for He is your audience and the only one that matters. Remember that when you praise Him, you are already affirming that the victory is yours. I declare today that you have the victory and you will testify.

I Will Bless The Lord At All Times: His Praise Shall Continually Be In My Mouth

I Will Bless The Lord At All Times: His Praise Shall Continually Be In My Mouth

Ephesians_1-3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Ephesians_1-3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Psalm 34:1 (KJV)

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that for everything there is a season; there is a time for every purpose under heaven. There will be times when you do not feel like singing or dancing. There will be times when you do not feel like praying. There will be times when you do not even feel like getting out of bed. The devil will bombard your mind through the night, telling you a series of impossible things. And when you wake up, you will feel like throwing in the towel. Beloved, it happens.

Everyone can praise and bless the Lord when the going is good and when you have testimonies to share. Yes, everyone can praise the Lord when all the bills are paid and you are walking in divine health. But can you still bless the Lord when everything seems to have turned against you? That is where the rubber meets the road. Until your praises reach the dimension of sacrifice where whether things are good or bad you can still bless Him, you are still in the paediatrics of praise.

David made the choice to bless the Lord while He was on the run in the wilderness and hiding from Saul the King. His praises brought down resources from heaven that stopped his enemy. Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God in prison while their feet were fastened in stocks, and the prison gates flew open. Jesus looked at the tomb of Lazarus and thanked God for always hearing Him and Lazarus came back to life.

In what area of life are you being confronted by the devil? Take time out to deliberately praise God. In fact, put on your dancing shoes and give God a dance as an offering. You are not dancing because of the challenge, but because you are confident in God’s ability to deliver and do so completely. Begin now to bless the Lord even when you don’t feel like it so that heaven can help you.

Isaiah 45-46

1 Thessalonians 3

Thank You Jesus!
