Your success is guaranteed

YOUR SUCCESS
IS GUARANTEED

Everything required
for your success has already been done by God. The works were finished from the
foundation of the world. Now, when the Bible says that the works were finished
from the foundation of the world, as in Hebrew
4:3
, it’s important you recognize that this is the actual truth. Everything
concerning your success, health and prosperity has been taken care of. So, you
don’t have to struggle in life anymore.

You don’t
have to be defeated in life or give up hope. You don’t have to struggle for
anything. No wonder the Bible says we’ve entered into God’s rest (Hebrews
4:10). Everything you need for success and prosperity has been made available.

God wants
you to know that you’re not the poor trying to be rich; you’re the rich
discovering your inheritance. You’re not the sick trying to be healed, for the
genes of divinity are in you. Thus no sickness, disease or infirmity can thrive
in your body. You must have this consciousness. For the Christian, failure is
absolutely unnecessary. If you’d pay attention to God’s Word and make certain
to do what it says, you’ll never be defeated in life.

Believe today
and act as one who’s been established on the path of success and victory. You’re
not one merely trying to make ends meet. God made you a success ever before you
came on the scene. He made you a victor and ordained your prosperity before you
were born. No wonder He says in 1 Corinthians 3:21 that all things are yours. He
wants you to begin to enjoy all things. Nothing in this life is too good for
you, for you’re the seed of Abraham. Relate with, and function in this truth
today!

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You
and rejoice at Your Word that has made me realize Your eternal plans of honour,
prosperity, progress and victory for my life. I’m grateful to know that you’ve
already ordained me to shine daily in life, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Worship Is Sacrifical

WORSHIP IS
SACRIFICAL

READ: Genesis 22:1-14

“Take with you words,
and turn to the Lord: say unto Him, ‘Take away all our iniquity, and receive us
graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.”  (Hosea 14:2)

Worship is
not just singing worship songs or bowing down before God because of our
expectation of what to get from Him.

Worship is
multifaceted; it is more than singing songs of praise and dancing or giving to
God. Singing or other means of worship are just the acts of worship, but our
heart connection with God is the most important and honouring to God i.e.
having a heart that sings worships not just a mouth that sings worship songs.

Looking at
Abraham, our father of faith, in that time and age there was no church where
praise and worship could be conducted yet he knew that worship in the sight of
God meant life.

The secret
of worship, as required by God is obedience and faith. In our case we may
consider an Isaac to be our quality time, that which cost you something, our
possessions or even our careers or ministries.

Abraham did
not kill his only begotten son eventually, for God provided a ram of worship.
God blessed Abraham for bringing a life offering to Him. He ultimately yielded
his life to God. God cut a covenant with him there and blessed him.

Make me a worshipper, and one after
Your Own heart, O Lord!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from
all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Walk in the steps of Father Abraham

Groom, Texas

WALK IN THE
STEPS OF FATHER ABRAHAM

And Melchizedek King of Salem brought
forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the Most High God. And he
blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abrahm of the Most High God, possessor of
heaven and earth: and blessed be the Most High God, which hath delivered thine
enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. (Genesis 14:18-20).

Abraham was
the first person recorded in the Bible to give tithes. He gave tithes to
Melchizedek over 430 years before the Law was given to the children of Israel,
proving that tithing existed before the Law.

The Bible
tells us Abraham is the father of faith, and that all those who are of faith
are children of Abraham, and we belong to Christ Jesus! “And if ye be Christ’s,
then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians
3:29).

Abraham
demonstrated his faith by giving tithes of all to Melchizedek, who was a
manifestation of Christ to him. The Bible admonishes us to walk in the steps of
the faith of father Abraham (Romans 4:12). When you give your tithes, you’re
walking in his steps of faith. You’re affirming yourself as a child of faith
and a seed of Abraham and you can expect the blessings of Abraham to be yours
also.

Instead of
giving your tithe just because you were commanded to do so, which is good,
start giving it with understanding and by revelation. Begin to act by faith in
giving your tithes. Rejoice and thank God every time you give it. Then you can
enjoy the full benefits of it.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father! You have made
me a partaker of the Abrahamic blessings through Our Lord Jesus Christ. I
present my tithes to You as a token of my covenant relationship with You and
the connection to the Abrahamic blessings. Therefore, the devourer is rebuked
from my finances, every form of sickness is destroyed and failure is completely
removed from my life, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

In everything give thanks

30 Days of Thanks - November 5

IN
EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS

In everything give thanks: for this
is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

God wants
you to live a life of thanksgiving everyday; He wants you to cultivate a
mentality of gratitude regardless of your situation. Someone may ask, “Am I supposed
to give thanks for challenges and problems” The Scripture didn’t say we should give
thank for all situations; it says we
should give thanks in all
situations.  In other words, your life
should be full of thanksgiving no matter the situation. The Bible tells us that
we know that all things work together for good to them who love God (Romans
8:28). Therefore, it doesn’t matter what happens in your life or around you,
give thanks to God, for He has given you the victory already!

No matter
what you face in this life, God expects you to be able to smile, lift your
hands and say, “Lord, I give You thanks!” The Bible says, “Whatsoever ye do in word or
deed, do all in the name of The Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father
by Him”
(Colossians 3:17). The reason the Bible says that you are
peculiar (1 Peter 2:9) is that when everyone is having a hard time, you’re able
to lift your hands in the midst of it all and say, “Lord, I give You thanks!”

You have to understand
that as a child of God, it is impossible for you to be disadvantaged and this
is why the Lord expects you to give thanks. There is no need to complain or
grumble about the situation because you have already overcome! Learn how to get
alone, lift your hands towards heaven and say, “Lord, I give thanks to You!
when you cultivate this lifestyle, angels will always be mobilized on your
behalf and you will live in the will of God. A lifestyle of gratitude attracts
blessings and favour to you. Give thanks to God always!

PRAYER

Lord, I give thanks to You! I lift my
hands in thanksgiving, and I offer to You the fruit of my lips, giving praise
to Your Name. I thank You for making me a master over all of life’s situations
and circumstances. No matter what I face, I have the confidence that victory is
mine, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

I Wish Above All Things That You May Prosper and be in Health

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

I WISH ABOVE ALL THINGS THAT YOU MAY PROSPER AND BE IN
HEALTH, EVEN AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS

Beloved, I wish above
all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth (3 John vs. 2).

This scripture reveals God’s desire for every one of His
children: He’s interested in our financial and physical well-being! However,
the degree of financial and physical prosperity we enjoy is determined by the
degree of prosperity in our souls.

You see, your soul prospers as you receive the Word of God
and lay it up in your heart, as you fix your gaze on God and set aside every
weight of sin that has beset you. God gave Joshua the key to God’s kind of
prosperity in Joshua 1:8; “This book of
the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt mediate therein day
and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written
therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have
good success.”

As you meditate on God’s Word all the time and observe to do
it, you’ll have good success. Notice it doesn’t say “…..thou shalt have success….”
But “…….thou shalt have good success.” “Good Success” isn’t
the world’s kind of success. “Good Success” isn’t the world’s kind of success
but God’s kind of success.

Job 22:22-24 also gives some insight into this subject: “Receive, I pray thee, the law from His
mouth, and lay up His words in thine heart. If thou return to the Almight, thou
shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt
thou lay up gold as dust and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.”

Notice the order: First , you must receive the Word, lay it
up in your heart, return to Him and put away iniquity (sin) far from your
house. Then, you will surely lay up gold as dust and continually enjoy success
and prosperity, God’s way.  Why? It’s
because “….the Almighty shall be thy defence….” (Job 22:25). Put simply, God
Himself ensures that this kind of prosperity is sustained. He defends you and
everything that belongs to you, for they belong to Him too.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for giving me Your Word. I receive it with meekness and faith, and
lay it up in my heart that sin will be far from my dwelling. I declare
therefore, that I am prospering in my soul, in my body, and in my finances
through Your Word, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

The link between your prosperity and your deliverance

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

THE LINK BETWEEN YOUR PROSPERITY AND YOUR DELIVERANCE

A dear friend of mine, who is a minster of God, once shared
the testimony of how his daughter got sick and wouldn’t get well even after
series of intense prayers. The doctors couldn’t diagnose what was wrong with
the little girl. Her lips became black and everyone who saw her wondered what
kind of sickness she was suffering from. Every attempt at getting the child
well just didn’t work. Then he opened his wardrobe and packed out all his suits
which were about thirty and took them to church, and gave them as an offering.
After a few days of giving that offering, his daughter was restored back to
health!

The Bible says, “A rich man can buy his way out of
threatened death by paying a ransom….” (Proverbs 13:8 AMP). You see, the things
God has given you aren’t just for you to store up and look at. They’re for you
to redeem your soul. They’re for you to ransom your life and that of your loved
ones. There are times when all your talking and quoting of Scripture wouldn’t
be enough. At those times, only a sacrificial offering will settle the problem!
Therefore, all you need do is look around your house and pull out that
sacrifice and place it on the altar of God. A lot of Christians don’t
understand this stuff and that’s why they get into all kinds of trouble.

When you study Solomon’s life you’ll discover that the key
to his success was in his giving; he was a man who distinguished himself with
the amount of offering he brought to the altar. Not even David, his father,
gave as much as he did. This was why God appeared to him after his phenomenal
sacrifice and said, “Ask what you will”  (1 Kings 3:2-5). His giving endeared him to
the heart of God.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for empowering me with everything (including wisdom and substance)
to ward off the onslaught of the enemy in my life and that of my loved ones.
Let the sacrificial offering I bring to Your altar be acceptable sacrifice
that’ll take me to a higher level in life, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

The Virtuous Woman

Image via Wikipedia

THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN

What a girl to do?

Some people have the mistaken idea that a woman should be
very concerned about her looks, up on the latest fashions, and look out for
herself.

But that’s not what God describes in the Bible. The woman
described in proverbs 31 is an excellent wife and mother. She is able to
balance both career and family. It may surprise you that her appearance is
never ever mentioned! This is because the best kind of attractiveness is an
inward beauty. It comes from a woman’s character.

See this woman as an inspiration to be all you can be!

Who can find a
virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies. Her husband
can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She will not hinder him
but help him all her life.

She finds wool and
flax and busily spins it. She is like a merchant’s ship; she brings her food
from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and
plan the day’s work for her servant girls. She goes out to inspect a field and
buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard.

She is energetic and
strong, a hard worker. She watches for bargains; her light burn late into the
night. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fibre.

She extends a helping
hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.

She has no fear for
winter for her household because all of them have warm clothes. She quilts her
own bedspreads. She dresses like royalty in gowns of finest cloth.

Her husband is well
known, for he sits in the council meeting with the other civic leaders.

She makes belted linen
garments and sashes to sell to the merchants.

She is clothed with
strength and dignity, and she laughs with no fear of the future. When she
speaks, her words are wise and kindness is the rules when she gives
instructions. She carefully watches all that goes on in her household and does
not have to bear the consequences of laziness.

Her children stand and
bless her. Her husband praises her. “There are many virtuous and capable women
in the world, but you surpass them all.

Charm is deceptive,
and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly
praised.  Reward her for all she done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Supernatural success

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

SUPERNATURAL SUCCESS

This book of the law
shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and
night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good
success (Joshua 1:8)

Supernatural success is total, all – round success in all
area of your life. It means that you are excellent in every single aspect of
your life. God doesn’t want you to experience success in some areas and failure
in other areas of your life. He desires that you become an all round success.

The recipe for supernatural
success which GOD gave to Joshua is to “meditate” on the Word of GOD day and
night. The Bible says,Meditate upon
these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to
all”
(1 Timothy 4:15). If you would meditate on the Word, everything that
you do will prosper: you will be a good businessman, a good father, a good
mother, a good wife, a good husband, and of course, a good Christian. There’s
no area of your life that will be lacking if you will do this. Meditation will
cause you to do the Word, and it’ll produce results in every area of your life
(Psalm 1:1-3).

You can have supernatural success;
just make up your mind today to meditate consciously on the Word. Every area of
your life will be balanced, and you will be a success all-round.

PRAYER

Dear LORD, thank You for teaching me the secret of supernatural
success. I declare that I am excelling in every area of my life by Your Grace
alone! I thank You for I know that as I meditate on Your Word, all that
concerns me is perfected in Christ Jesus. Amen!

Divine Appointments. God Can Turn Obstacles Into Opportunities.

DIVINE APPOINTMENTS! GOD CAN TURN OBSTACLES INTO
OPPORTUNITIES!

Paul and Silas were
praying and singing hymns to God and the prisoners were listening to them. Acts
16:25

Have you ever been stuck in an airport? For 24 hours? In a
city where you can’t speak the language? Four thousand miles from home?

It happened to a friend recently, and we can learn from his
response. While most of us would find such an inconvenience intolerable, my
friend John saw God’s hand in his delay. As he waited out his forced stay, he
looked for opportunities to connect with fellow passengers. He “happened” to
find some fellow Christians from India – and in talking to them he heard about
a ministry they were involved with.  In
fact, because John’s interest matched his new friends’ ministry, they invited
him to India to participate in a short – term project.

How often do we experience delays, changes of plans, and
redirections and treat them as intrusions? It could be that God is detouring us
so we can do something different or new for Him. Consider Paul’s trip to
Philippi in Acts 16. He had gone to Macedonia because of a God-directed vision
(vv.9-10). How could he know that he would end up in prison there? But even
that trip to jail was God-led, because He used Paul to bring salvation to a
jailer and his family (vv.25-34).

God can use inconveniences in our lives if we look at them
as divine appointments. – Dave Branon

That the thwarting of my purpose

Is God’s better choice for me. – Young.

Excelling In Life

Excelling  In Life
by Pastor Afolabi

People often busy themselves with some  activity that they believe would give them an edge for excellence in various  areas of their lives. For some, it is enrolling for that extra on-the-job  course to sharpen their business acumen; for others, it’s hiring the services  of a pro trainer or coach to improve their skills in some sport. For some  others still, it is sitting for weeks, months or even years under the tutorship  of world class professors and ultimately obtaining a first class degree from  some renowned institution in well acclaimed areas of the world. And maybe for  some, recruiting the best skilled hands to execute the goals of their companies  or organizations would definitely do the “excelling” trick.

These are undeniably laudable efforts,  worthy of emulation. However, that individual who will become truly excellent  in his or her life must primarily learn and apply God‘s principles and skills  of living. Man is a created being; and must necessarily seek to know his  Creator, who having made the product, understands his full functions and  specified his operations; and thus knows what man can achieve, and how and when  best he can achieve it. The Bible is the product manual and must therefore be  the pivot and reference for whoever will maximize his potentials, and  ultimately excel at his endeavours as God’s divine product.

Excelling is not an act or performance,  which is here for a moment only to disappear into oblivion. Rather, it ought to  be a way of life. Excelling in life requires 100% usage of one’s mind; and  one’s capability and its utilization can be reviewed and improved by choice and  at will. A poet once said, “Few are born with talent that excel, but all  are capable of living well.” Rarely will an infant have an angel descend  at his birth and whisper in his ear “You are among the few born with  talent.” Often times, the infant himself grows up to recognize his  talents, and sets the ball rolling to achieve his goals, with a touch of  excellence. Not many are born into the world with the tag “WINNER”.  Thus, winning and doing so excellently is indeed a matter of choice.

So what you need to do is to always  acknowledge yourself as the best product of a painstaking manufacturer, laden  with innate abilities, great talents and limitless potentials. And these, when  put to the right and timely use, according to the principles provided in the  manufacturer’s manual – the Bible – will definitely produce excellent results.

Constantly apply yourself to training and imbibe fresh and   updated information in your field of expertise, or whatever area of endeavour   you seek to pursue. Become consistent, diligent and continually improve on your   skills and personality, always staying abreast of the facts in your field of   play. Soon enough, excelling in life will be your sweet story to tell.

The Power Of Praise And Worship.

The Power of Praise & Worship

By Dr. Dale A. Robbins.

Acts 16:23-26 “And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
(24) Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
(25) And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
(26) And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”

This Bible story begins the unjust arrest of Paul and Silas. Because they had cast a spirit of divination out of a girl, the local Philippian authorities beat them and then threw them into a jail cell. Besides the trauma of the severe beating, they were fastened in stocks which clamped their arms and legs in an immobile position, causing cramps and loss of circulation. The atmosphere there was depressing. According to the standards of that day, a prison was more like the resemblance of a dungeon. A dark, damp, stench-ridden place, with no facility for waste or comforts of any kind.

Yet, in spite of the throbbing pain in their bodies and the disheartening atmosphere, at midnight Paul and Silas were heard praying and singing praises to God! What a strange sound this must have been to the other prisoners, who were used to only hearing the groans or cursings of those who had been beaten.

Then suddenly, there was an earthquake that shook the prison! The doors flung open, and amazingly, the bonds of Paul, Silas, and every other prisoner were released! What caused this mighty discharge of power?

Praise Elevates us into God’s Presence and Power

Paul and Silas knew the secret of how to lift their hearts above their troubles and enter into God’s presence and power. Through praise and worship their hearts were raised into the joyous presence and peace of God, and provided God a channel for his power to operate in their circumstances.

The Bible says that God inhabits in the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3). In other words, God “dwells” in the atmosphere of His praise. This means that praise is not merely a reaction from coming into His presence – Praise is a vehicle of faith which brings us into the presence and power of God! Praise and worship is the “gate-pass” which allows us to enter the sacredness of His glory. The psalmist writes, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” (Psalms 100:4).

This corresponds with Jesus’ teaching, that His presence will inhabit the gathering of believers who congregate in His name: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). A “gathering in His name” means that Jesus must be the focus, the center of the assemblage. He must be the one preached about, sung about — the one praised and worshiped. “I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee” (Hebrews 2:12). Consequently, Christ’s presence, along with His virtue and anointing, is manifested in this type of gathering.

Have you ever noticed when “gifts of the Spirit” operate in a church service? The power and anointing of the Holy Spirit usually becomes evident, subsequent to a time of worship and praise. Some think that worship is a response after the Holy Spirit moves upon them. However, it’s the other way around. God’s presence responds when we move upon Him with worship! Lifting up Jesus Christ through praise and worship invokes the Lord’s presence and power to flow in our midst.

What is Praise?

Praise means “to commend, to applaud or magnify.” For the Christian, praise to God is an expression of worship, lifting-up and glorifying the Lord. It is an expression of humbling ourselves and centering our attention upon the Lord with heart-felt expressions of love, adoration and thanksgiving. High praises bring our spirit into a pinnacle of fellowship and intimacy between ourselves and God — it magnifies our awareness of our spiritual union with the most high God. Praise transports us into the realm of the supernatural and into the power of God. “Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance” (Psalms 89:15).

There are many actions involved with praise to God — verbal expressions of adoration and thanksgiving, singing, playing instruments, shouting, dancing, lifting or clapping our hands. But true praise is not “merely” going through these motions. Jesus spoke about the hypocrisy of the pharisees, whose worship was only an outward show and not from the heart. “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me” (Matthew 15:8). Genuine praise to God is a matter of humility and sincere devotion to the Lord from within.

Unpretentious praise and worship pleases the Lord. He delights in the love and devotion of His children. According to the scriptures, the various expressions of praise bring blessing to the Lord. He eagerly awaits the fragrance of our affections, desiring to manifest His sweet presence and power in our midst. “…the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him” (John 4:23).

Praise to God is a Lifestyle

All too often, praise to God is something that many people leave at church, an event that happens only when they come together with other Christians. However, praise should be a part of a believers lifestyle, inter-mingled as a part of their daily prayer-life. At work, in the car, at home in bed, or anywhere; praise to the Lord brings the refreshing of the Lord’s presence, along with His power and anointing. “…I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalms 34:1).

Praise is an expression of faith, and a declaration of victory! It declares that we believe God is with us and is in control of the outcome of all our circumstances (Romans 8:28). Praise is a “sacrifice,” something that we offer to God sacrificially, not just because we feel like it, but because we believe in Him and wish to please Him. “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15).

Praise Sends the Enemy Running

Since praise manifests God’s presence, we also realize that praise repels the presence of the enemy, Satan. An atmosphere which is filled with sincere worship and praise to God by humble and contrite hearts is disgusting to the Devil. He fears the power in the name of Jesus, and flees from the Lord’s habitation in praise. “Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God” (Psalms 50:23).

When the children of Judah found themselves outnumbered by the hostile armies of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, King Jehoshophat and all the people sought the Lord for His help. The Lord assured the people that this would be His battle. He told them to go out against them, and He would do the fighting for them. So what did the children of Judah do? Being the people of “praise” (Judah actually means Praise), and knowing that God manifests His power through praise, they sent their army against their enemies, led by the praisers!

So on they went, ahead of the army declaring, “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endureth forever!” And the scripture says, “…when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten” (2 Chronicles 20:22).

When God’s people begin to praise His name, it sends the enemy running! I challenge you to become a person of praise, and you will experience the release of the power of God!

Some Biblical Expressions of Praise

Declaring of thanks (Heb. 13:15)
Clapping hands and shouting (Psalms 47:1)
Musical instruments and dancing (Psm. 150:4)
Singing praise songs (Psalms 9:11)
Psalms, hymns, & spiritual songs (Eph. 5:19-20)
Making a joyful noise (Psalms 98:4)
By lifting our hands (Psalms 134:2)
By being still (Psalms 4:3-5, 46:10)
By being loud (Psalms 33:3, 95:1-6)

Be A Blessing To Others! Choose To Live A Meaningful Life; By Watering Others, You Water Yourself

BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS! CHOOSE
TO LIVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE; BY WATERING OTHERS, YOU WATER YOURSELF

It is possible to give
away and become richer! It is also possible to hold on too tightly and lose
everything. Yes, the liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he water
himself (Proverbs 11:24-25 TLB)

It’s not enough to live long; it’s what you live for that
really matters. There are those who live for more than a hundred years, but
made no impact in the lives of those around them; there was just nothing
significant about their lives. They really didn’t contribute to their society;
always “taking”, never giving back.

Are you contributing positively to the advancement of the
lives of those around you? This is a question you must ask yourself and truthfully
answer. Choose to live a meaningful life. One that’ll make the world move
forward, touching the lives of others in a positive way. Be a blessing to
others, and you’ll always be lifted, for you are lifted as you lift others!
Your promotion is in your promoting others. Your success is discovered when you
help others become successful. You’ll never discover the treasure God has kept
in you until you reach out to help someone else become something. That’s where
real joy is! This is because “The liberal
soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself”
(Proverbs 11:25
). Hallelujah!

God will make happen for you what you make happen for
others. So keep helping those around you stand strong and tall; help them
discover their God-given potentials; be a part of their success story. If
you’re an employer, help those in your employ realize their dreams for success.
In the same way, as an employee in an organization, be diligent; commit
yourself to improving that organization. Make the progress of that organization
your priority, for in her prosperity shall you also prosper.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,
I ask that You grant me today, the grace, wisdom and strength to always
recognize the need of those around me, that I may bring them hope, and inspire
them to success and greatness. I thank You for making me a lifter and helper of
others. Today, I choose to help someone be a success, in Jesus Christ Name.
Amen!

Give, and It Shall Be Given Unto You; Good Measure, Pressed Down, And Shaken togther, and Running Over Shall Men Give Into Your Bosom (Luke 6:38)

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

GIVE, AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU; GOOD MEASURE, PRESSED
DOWN, AND SHAKEN TOGETHER, AND RUNNING OVER, SHALL MEN GIVE INTO YOUR
BOSOM.(Luke 6:38).

And God is able to
make all grace abound towards; you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in
all things, may abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8)

There’re different levels of prosperity at which God’s
people function. Some are in the first level, where they have just enough to
get by. Some, however, are on the next level where they have more than enough
to take care of themselves, their family and a few others. Then, there’re those
who are in the arena of abundance, where they can do so much for themselves and
for many others.

However, God’s desire for you is that you move from the
realm of abundance into the realm of super-abundance, where you’re financially
strong enough to do whatever you want to do that’s good for God and for people,
whenever you want to do it, however you want to do it! This is the level of
prosperity you should strive to function in, where you’re able to help other. Nigeria,
African and the world as a whole need more of such men and women today, who are
willing and able to bring succour and relief to the less privileged amongst us.

There’re many orphans, widows, and other needy people that
could benefit from your prosperity. The Bible says in Proverbs 19:17 “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth
unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will He pay him again”.
Also,
the Bible says the generous man is blessed for giving to the poor (Proverbs
22:9). Our opening scripture describes God’s commitment to you, when you
dedicate yourself to a lifestyle of giving; He (God)”…..is able to make all grace (every favour and earthly blessings) come
to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and
whatever the need, be self-sufficient (possessing enough to require no aid or
support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable
donation)” (2 Corinthians 8:9 AMP).

God’s resources are limitless; His wealth is infinite. As
His kids, we’re His heirs; all that He has belongs to us. Therefore, choose to
function at the level of super-abundance. The way to press into this realm of
prosperity is through giving: “Give, and
it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together,
and running over, shall men give into your bosom…” (Luke 6:38)
. Through giving,
you multiply riches and wealth. Keep looking out for opportunities to be a
blessing to others, and the Spirit of God, apart from helping you increase your
capacity to give more, will cause you to dwell in the realm of super-abundance,
where others will benefit from your prosperity.

CONFESSION:

Through my giving,
mighty harvests of financial blessings are coming to me, and my capacity to
give is increase today by the power of God’s Spirit. I’m a big-time sponsor of
the gospel!  The kingdom of God is moving
forward because of God’s grace upon my life in Jesus Christ. Amen!

God Is More Willing To Give To You, Than You’re Willing To Receive

GOD IS MORE WILLING TO GIVE TO YOU, THAN YOU’RE WILLING TO
RECEIVE!

And it came to pass,
when He was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus
fell on his face, and besought Him, saying, LORD, if thou wilt, thou canst make
me clean (Luke 5:12)

There’re lots of people today whose mindset is like that of
the leper in the scripture above. They know God has the power to do anything
for them but they’re not sure He’s willing to grant them the miracle they
greatly desire. “I don’t know if it’s
God’s will to heal me,”
they’ll say, and then run to the doctor for help!

Notice that the leper didn’t question the power of God. He
knew God had the power to heal him. He had heard about Jesus the Healer, so he
wasn’t questioning His power to heal him of his leprosy. His only problem was
he didn’t know if Jesus would be willing to. In other words, he knew Jesus
could, but didn’t know if He would.

It often amazes me how people are quick to say they don’t
know God’s will while at the same time they demonstrate a desire for good
things. Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is
God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”
In
other words, that desire in you for good things is a reflection of God’s desire
and His will for you to have a good life. There’s no good father who wants his
children to go through life suffering. If you’re a good parent, you won’t plan
for your children to become victim in life; you’d work hard so they won’t have
to suffer.

You couldn’t be better than God in taking care of your
family. God is more willing to provide for you than you could ever be willing
to receive provision. He desires to bless you and give you good things more
than you’re ready to receive them. That’s why Jesus said you don’t need to make
vain repetitions when you pray (Matthew 6:7).

God loves you, and He’s more passionate and concerned about
your success and prosperity in life than you could ever be. He’s more willing
to give to you than you’re willing to receive.

CONFESSION:

Dear Father, thank you
for making your love known to me and enlightening the eyes of my understanding
to know that You’re willing to give me all things. I rejoice in the knowledge
of Your Word today, and declare that success, prosperity, victory and health
are mine in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

How many times do we have to miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected.

How many times do we have to miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected.

A married lady was
expecting a birthday gift from her husband. For many months she had admired a
beautiful diamond ring in a showroom, and knowing her husband could afford it,
she told him that was all she wanted. As her birthday approached, this lady awaited
signs that her husband had purchased the diamond ring.

Finally, on the morning of her birthday, her husband called
her into his study room. Her husband told her how proud he was to have such a
good wife, and told her how much he loved her. He handed her a beautifully –
wrapped gift box.  Curious, the wife
opened the box and found a lovely, leather – bound Bible, with her name
embossed in gold. Angrily, she raised her voice to her husband and said, “With
all your money you give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house, leaving her
husband for good.

Many years passed and the married lady was very successful
in business. She managed to settle for a more beautiful house and a wonderful
family, but realized her ex – husband was very old, and thought perhaps she
should go to visit him. She had not seen him for many years.

But before she could make arrangements, she received a
telegram telling her that her ex – husband had passed away, and willed all of
his possessions to her. She needed to come back immediately and take care of
things.

When she arrived at   her
ex – husband’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled her heart. She began to
search through his important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as she
had left it years ago. With tears, she opened the Bible and began to turn the
pages.  Her ex –husband had carefully
underlined a verse, Matthew 7:11, “And if
you, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more
shall your Heavenly Father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?”

as she read those words, a tiny package dropped from the back of the Bible. It
had a diamond ring with her name engraved on it, the same diamond ring which
she saw at the showroom. On the tag was the date of her birthday, and the
words….”LUV U ALWAYS”…How many times do we have to miss God’s blessings because
they are not packaged as we expected?

Remember, if your gift is not packaged the way you want it,
it’s because it is better packaged the way it is! Always appreciate little
things; they usually lead you to bigger and better things!

Every Time You Give Big, God’s Vision Is Implanted In Your Heart

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

A rich man ran to Jesus one day, knelt down before Him and
asked, “….Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”(Mark
10:17). The Lord told him to sell everything he had, give to the poor and be
His disciple. The Bible says, “…he (the rich man) was sad at the saying, and
went away grieved; for he had great possessions” (Mark 10:22). The problem
wasn’t that he had great possessions nor was it that Jesus didn’t want him; for
the Bible did tell us that Jesus loved him (Mark 10:21). He was bound by his
wealth and possessions. He couldn’t be the thirteenth disciple because he
couldn’t release what he had.

To be a disciple takes one very essential quality: you must
be a giver. The disciples of Jesus were givers. The disciples were also wealthy
men, for they were all successful in their chosen careers before they met
Jesus. This was why they were astonished when Jesus said, “It is easier for a
camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the
kingdom of God” (Mark 10:25). However, they weren’t held bound by their
possessions; they were mega – givers.

When you study the lives of the disciples, you’ll discover
they didn’t only give of their substance alone, they also gave their efforts,
talents, kindness, love – everything. You need to realize that God sees
everything you give to Him. He doesn’t look at the outward appearance of
things; He looks at the heart.

There are different kinds of givers. There are reluctant
givers and cheerful givers, the latter lavish his love on the Lord through his
giving; the former, however gives in pinches. Accordingly, the one who gives
bountifully from a cheerful and willing heart gets bountifully and the one who
gives in pinches gets in pinches.

Every time you give big, God’s vision is implanted in your
heart. So, stop giving to God as though He’s not seeing you. When you have an
opportunity to give, be excited for every opportunity to give is an opportunity
to receive. You may receive in the form of healing, deliverance, abundance or
whatever the need in your life is.

CONFESSION

I AM A WILLING AND
CHEERFUL GIVER, FOR I HAVE THE NATURE OF GOD. THERE’S NOTHING THAT’S TOO BIG
FOR ME TO GIVE FOR MY GOD! MY HEAVENLY FATHER HAS BLESSED ME BEYOUND MEASURE.
AMEN

God Blesses You So You Can Be A Blessing To Others!

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

God is a
giver; therefore everyone that must function at His level must inculcate the
giving mentality. One reason some folks in the Body of Christ experience
challenges in their lives is that they haven’t imbibed a giving attitude. Make
up your mind and purpose in your heart to imbibe a giving culture. That’s when
you’ll discover the essence, beauty and glory of Christianity. God’s manifold
blessings belong to givers; not takers!

There’s
nothing wrong with receiving, but God says it’s more blessed to give than to
receive. The person who gives is higher than the one that receive. The person
who gives is higher than the one that takes. Don’t be “taking” conscious;
rather, become “giving” conscious!

When you
understand what true Christianity is, you’d realize that life is about giving.
You’d discover that the reason God blesses you is so you can be a blessing to
others. God is always mindful of others. He’s always mindful of those who’re not
as blessed as you; or at least, haven’t found out about their blessings as you
have.

That’s why
whatever He gives you, whatever He blesses you with, no matter how big or small
it is; He expects you to share it with others. God’s unusual blessings are reserved
for givers. Therefore, always be quick to release; always be prompt to give
more willingly and cheerfully for God loves a cheerful giver and for it is more
blessed to give than to receive.

CONFESSION

I HAVE THE NATURE AND
ATTITUDE OF MY HEAVENLY FATHER; THE NATURE THAT GIVES; THE ATTITUDE THAT
RELEASES WITH EASE. I RECOGNIZE THAT I’M BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING THEREFORE I
AM A JOYOUS, CHEERFUL, AND PROMPT TO DO IT GIVER. AND MY HEART IS IN MY GIVING
ALWAYS! AMEN!

Christians Are Called To Inherit Blessings And Not A Curse. You Can not be Cursed!

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1)

According to
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome “I encountered a Christian woman recently who, on
account of certain misfortune she suffered over a period of time, came to the
conclusion that her predicament was the result of a curse. She wanted to know
from me if it was possible for a Christian to be under a curse. I explained to
her from the Word that a Christian can’t be under a curse because the Bible
says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, that if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation,
superior to satan; and so cannot be under a curse”.

A Christian
is called to inherit a blessing and not a curse (1Peter 3:9). This was the
promise of God to Abraham in Genesis 12:3: “And
I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee
shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
As believers in Christ, we have inherited the
blessing of Abraham. So the Bible teaches in Galatians 3:29: “And if ye be
Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Ignorance
of this truth is however the problem of all those who believe the reason they’re
not doing well in life is because they are under the influence of a curse or
some voodoo spell.

If you’re
born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, no one can place a curse on you! Even
if they tried, it wouldn’t work, for the Bible says no weapon fashioned against
you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Numbers 23:23 says, “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any
divination against Israel……”
 So you
see, you don’t need any deliverance or special prayers for a curse to be lifted
from your life, for the truth is, you cannot be cursed.

Look at it
this way, if you were to be cursed as a child of God, who is to see to it that
the curse produces result? Is it the devil? You’re more powerful than the
devil. Is it God? God is your Heavenly Father, why would He supervise a curse
against you? The only Christian, however, who can be under a curse, is the one
who is at variance with the Word of God. When you ignore the Word of God, you
take yourself outside the protective cover of the Word, and that in itself is a
curse. But as long as you stay in the Word, you’ll be like a tree planted by
the rivers of water; fruitful and productive for eternity! Praise God!

PRAYER

DEAR FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR
WORD. IT’S IN MY HEART AND MY MOUTH TODAY! I MEDITATE UPON IT DAY AND NIGHT AND
THEREBY MAKE MY WAY PROSPEROUS. I CANNOT BE CURSED BECAUSE YOUR WORD IS MY LIFE
AND YOUR BLESSING REMAINS MY PORTION, IN JESUS CHRIST NAME. AMEN!

Enjoy Your God’s Given Life.

Jesus

Image via Wikipedia

When your
alarm clock goes off in the morning do you wish you could just stay in bed? Do
your struggles and responsibilities weigh you down with frustration, boredom or
hopeless? If these sentiments describe the way you feel about life, then you
are not enjoying the fullness of life that Christ offers. He is not only our
saviour but also our burden-bearer. God wants you to have a much better life –
one that you enjoy! God will give you the ability to enjoy life, no matter what.

Here’s how you can enjoy your life

Notice God’s
gifts and thank Him for them. Make it a daily practice to thank God for each
new day when you wake up from bed.

Throughout
the day, keep your mind on the good things in your life for which you’re
grateful. Don’t forget to acknowledge basic blessings such as your ability to
breathe, eat or smile.

Turn your
worries into prayers. Whenever a worry enters your mind, find a promise of God
that responds to it and turn it into prayer point. Know that worry can’t accomplish
anything good, but faith in the LORD has great power, since nothing is
impossible with God!

Be specific
as you share your concern with God and trust Him to answer your prayers in the
right way at the right time.

Look for
fulfilment in the right place. Stop looking for true and lasting satisfaction
in the wrong places, such as through your work, personal pleasure or
accumulation of knowledge or material possessions. Realize that only God can
provide the fulfilment you seek. Make a strong relationship with Him your top
priority.

Prayer: Lord, I celebrate your
goodness in my life and thank You for Your mercies! Amen!

Psalm 63:1-11.
