Topic: Brand New Beginning (part 2)

Text: Daniel 4: 34-37

There is probably no greater example of one who experienced a new beginning than Nebuchadnezzar. For 7 years, the king ate grass.

Lessons from his story:

1. Nebuchadnezzar was influential (Daniel 4), but storms are no respecter of persons. John 16:33

The storms will certainly come.

But the Lord says He will be with you. Isaiah 43:1-2

Note that God has the ability to divert storms.

2. Storms come without notice. 1 Thessalonians 5:3

A child of God must always be ready.

Daniel and his friends were sleeping in their homes while the threat of death came because the king forgot his own dream. Daniel 2

3. It’s a terrible thing to be an ‘ex’ – ex-great.

One morning, Nebuchadnezzar was king, and by evening, he was eating grass with animals.

+ The blind man healed by Jesus used to see. He used to see men and trees in the past, and knew the difference. Mark 8

+ The widow of Nan used to know joy. Until the enemy killed her husband and son. Luke 7: 11-16

4. The higher you are, the more you need God’s mercy. Romans 9:17

God is rich in mercy. He showed Nebuchadnezzar in a dream what was to happen before it happened.

When all is well with you, learn to be grateful to God every day. Remember you’re not the one who made yourself.

God Who can lift up, can bring down.

The interpretation of the king’s dream was so frightful that Daniel couldn’t tell the king for one hour. Daniel 4:19-27

Nebuchadnezzar received that warning but he did nothing about it.

Jonah must go.

Pride must go. Proverbs 16:18

God gives grace to the humble but He resists the proud.

James 4:6

5. All the time Nebuchadnezzar was mad, he didn’t know.

Mad people never know they’re mad.

People who are sleeping don’t know they’re sleeping until someone wakes them up. Revelation 3:17-19

Occasionally, there are times when we are asleep in areas of our lives where the Lord expects us to be awake.

There are some people who used to be prayer warriors and now it’s difficult for them to pray.

6. Throughout the time when Nebuchadnezzar ate grass, in a time when wars were fought for thrones, his kingdom was preserved.

Psalm 102:13

The time of these people came to receive their miracles:

+ The woman who was bent double. Luke 13: 10-17

+ The man at the pool of Bethesda had been there for 38 years. John 5: 2-14

+ The lame man at the beautiful gate. Acts 3: 1-8

7. One of the biggest lessons of Nebuchadnezzar’s story:

It doesn’t matter how deep the hole the enemy has dug for you, God can bring you out.

Deuteronomy 33:27

8. Our God is a God of restoration. Not only was Nebuchadnezzar healed, his brain began to work, his kingdom was restored to him, and nobody asked questions. Not only was Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom restored to him, excellent majesty was added to him.

God is a very generous God.

When He decides to favour you, you’ll beg Him to stop because your cup will run over. Psalm 23:5

The greater the problem, the greater the testimony.

If your problems are big, get ready for what will happen the day you’re sharing your testimony.

It’s the child who lifts up their hands that the parent will carry.

Salvation Call

Don’t wait till you have trouble.

If God really loves you and He knows you’re sleeping in sin, He will give you a storm that will cause you to run to Him.

You know you’re the one God is talking to.

You’re pretending to be a Christian.

Stop pretending and run to Jesus.

If you haven’t given your life to Jesus or would like to rededicate your life, ask the Lord to have mercy on you, forgive your sins, wash you clean with His blood, and save your soul.

Prayer Points

1. Thank the Almighty God for everything He has done in your life thus far.

2. Father, please divert any storm that is already coming my way.

3. Father, please give me the grace to be forever humble.

4. Father, please in all areas where I may be sleeping, wake me up urgently.

5. Father, please restore to me all that I have lost.

6. Father, let Your everlasting arms pick me up and keep raising me higher and higher.

7. Father, let my testimony shake the world.

8. Father, let my commitment to serve You be absolute.

9. Pray that at the anniversary of the Holy Ghost Service, God will do much more than we could hope for.

Testimonies

Testimonies are evidences of New Beginnings of miracles, and tonight our brothers and sisters are here to testify of their new beginnings.

Pastor Akintola is testifying of healing from Cancer of the colon. In September of 2021 he was diagnosed with cancer, which had spread to his liver. He came for prayers, underwent treatment, and by 2023 he was completely healed, much better than the doctors expected.

In 2012, Pastor Emeka was said to have ‘obstruction of the intestines’, causing excruciating pain in his abdomen.

He battled this for 13 years, until 2025 when he was to be ordained.

During one of the sessions during the ordination process, the officiating Pastor prayed for everyone to receive a miracle directly from God. In that instant he felt a hand rearrange his intestines, and immediately received his healing, with all pain gone!

Pastor Mrs Abimbola is testifying of healing. She suddenly started bleeding from her left nostril one day, for up to 3 hours.

She went to the hospital and was told she didn’t have blood in her body, and needed a transfusion. Soon after, she began vomiting large blood clots.

During the June HGS she keyed into a word  of prophecy.

After then she had a spiritual encounter, where she was attacked, but she prevailed!

She kept praying, and going through sessions of chemotherapy, and God did it!

Today she is standing completely whole and free.

Mrs and Mrs Olatunji had been married since 2007, but didn’t have a child.

After years of trying, she finally took in, in 2024 after 17 years.

Despite complications during the delivery, she successfully birthed her babies, and today she is testifying with her twins!

Baba is thanking God for delivering him from what could have been a fatal accident.

He boarded a bus, and while on the journey, the bus lost control and tumbled repeatedly on the road.

To the glory of God, he and other passengers of the bus came out unscratched. Hallelujah!

Salvation Prayer

If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life.
