James_1-19: Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath

James 1:19 (Amplified): “Understand , my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry.”

We cannot even begin to count how many times this has spared us in doing all God requires us to do. It is, indeed, better to draw in and listen – quick to receive correction too – rather than to speak. In every conversation you engage in today, remember to take the time to listen to what is being said from the heart of others. More than that listen to things unspoken in words too!
