What experience in life helped you grow the most?

What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

Accepting my mother will never love me the way I wanted!  I wanted to be her best son,  her best friend. I wanted to displace my Dad,  her husband 🤣, my older brother and my late brother whom I thought she loved the most.  The frustration and yearning almost became a deadly obsession.  Thank God for the right friends in my life,  I had to accept my mother’s love for me,  though it was not enough,  but it was better than no love at all.  Now,  I don’t buy friendships,  if it flows,  it flows,  if it doesn’t I mourn it for a while and move one. Secondly I learnt the power of one from Tochi a wonderful friend years later. I don’t have to be loved by everyone,  I don’t have to be begged to be loved.  I just need to be loved by just one person and the world will later fall in love with me.  Just one person’s love is all that I need to get by in this world. I later found out it is in the Bible too Matthew 25: 37. Now I don’t bribe people to be my friend,  I don’t pay for companionship,  I don’t do silly things all because of friendship and I don’t compromise my faith and principles.

My confidence in GOD Almighty The Maker of Heaven and Earth and My Confidence in myself

According to Wikipedia Confidence is the feeling of belief or trust that a person or thing is reliable.

Self-confidence is trust in oneself. Self-confidence involves a positive belief that one can generally accomplish what one wishes to do in the future.

Self-confidence is not the same as self-esteem, which is an evaluation of one’s worth. Self-confidence is related to self-efficacy—belief in one’s ability to accomplish a specific task or goal.

Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy, as those without it may fail because they lack it, and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability or skill.
