In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1
From the very first line of the Bible, God requires us to have faith. He doesn’t go into elaborate detail about who He is or how He created everything. God doesn’t lay out His case as a logical legal brief. He just states plainly, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Once you read these words you are compelled to either walk in faith and believe the Word of God or choose to dismiss it.
It’s clear that it takes faith to believe the Bible, because there are many unanswered questions. God wastes no time trying to talk us into believing His Word. The ability to believe God’s Word is a gift of faith from Him (Ephesians 2:8).
If you find yourself questioning the reality of God’s Word, then you need faith. How can you get faith? “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17).
Read the Word of God, listen to the Word of God, repeat aloud the Word of God, meditate on the Word of God and sing God’s Word. This will allow faith to come-for without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

God cannot disappoint you, His faithfulness is forever sure. Hope and Faithfulness
Hope links with the future. Moreover, there is a link between hope and God because He is the One who controls tomorrow. Anyone in charge of tomorrow is definitely able to uphold hope.
Revelation 1:8 says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, The Almighty”.
Hope is linked with tomorrow and God is the One who holds tomorrow. Do not let any man deceive you: no man holds tomorrow except God. This is why James warns against boasting about tomorrow while acknowledging that we need God – the one in control of tomorrow – to enter into tomorrow of our dreams (James 4:13-16). Many who bragged about tomorrow never lived to see it.
Another way God is linked with hope is through His faithfulness. Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “Know therefore that the LORD thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that loves Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations.”
God is extremely faithful. The quality of His faithfulness in keeping promises and agreements is unparalleled. There are some people around us who make simple promises that they can easily fulfil yet, they fail to fulfil them because they lack the discipline in faithfulness.
Putting all your hope in an unfaithful man can lead to great embarrassment and loss when the fellow suddenly disappoints you at a crucial time.
God cannot disappoint you! Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?”
God doesn’t only keep covenants but He is the greatest covenant keeper as He can fulfil His promise to an individual or a family for up to a thousand generations!
What a wonderful God we serve!
May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
Lamentations_3-22: It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

“Then said Jesus unto them again, verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:7, 11
Throughout the Bible, particularly the New Testament, God used things that we can readily identify with to speak to us the deep mystery of the Kingdom. Jesus used the everyday things around to teach very deep truths that every believer ought to know. He knew that if you can just catch a glimpse of what He is saying, you will be more effective ministers of the Gospel.
Look at our text again; do you understand the full import of what Jesus was saying? If you truly understand our text for today, you will have no reason to fear anything in life. Let me break it down a little – The sheepfold is a place where the sheep are kept safe. There is an opening into this place through which the sheep is herded in. The good shepherd then sleeps right across that opening in the night. The implication is whenever danger comes the enemy had to first contend with the shepherd before entering the sheepfold. Now you can understand it better when Jesus says He is the door to the sheepfold and the good shepherd.
This means that the good shepherd guarantees the supply of all my needs and he, who is the door to the sheepfold, also guarantees my protection from any evil. Hallelujah! So I can say without any shadow of fear that nothing shall by any means hurt me. The same is true for you, if only you will believe. Beloved, you have no reason to fear.

Salvation is for all men
That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved (Romans 10:9)
Some people believe salvation is only for certain people; that God already numbered those that’ll be saved, and those reserved for eternal damnation; but that’s not truth. You might then ask, “So what did Jesus mean when He said, “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him…” (John 6:44). Doesn’t that mean the Father appoints some people to salvation, and separates some others unto destruction? No! Salvation is for all men. God’s desire is for ALL men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
In John 3:16, the Bible didn’t say, “For God so loved some men…” ; rather it says “For God so loved the world…..”; the world of men, ALL men, including women, boys and girls. The Father’s love is for the whole world; the world of sinners. So when Jesus said “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him….” (John 6:44), the right question to ask is, “Now does God draw men unto Himself?”
The answer is in the 45th verse of the same John 6 that says, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me” God draws men to Himself through His Word; through His message as encapsulated in the Gospel. When the Gospel is preached, those who hear, believe it, and endorse it by confessing the Lordship of Jesus Christ over their lives are drawn. So, the choice as to who receive salvation rests with every individual.
In Paul’s letter to Timothy, he said “…..God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3-4). This is the very reason we herald the message of the Gospel. As you plan your vacation and visitation this Christmas time, have the Gospel in mind. Make it a memorable Christmas for those around you who are yet to receive salvation, letting them know it’s God’s desire for them to receive the best gift of all, this Christmas – Eternal Life!
The Bible says “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14). You’re that preacher to those in your world; to bring them the glorious news of Christ’s salvation.
Prayer
Thank You Dear Heavenly Father for the immense love You clearly demonstrated in sending Jesus to be the propitiation for my sins, thus making me a participator in the divine experience. I’m most grateful for this glorious privilege, in Jesus Christ’s Name! Amen!
Some people have the mistaken idea that a woman should be very concerned about her looks, up on the latest fashions, and look out for herself.
But that’s not what God describes in the Bible. The woman described in proverbs 31 is an excellent wife and mother. She is able to balance both career and family. It may surprise you that her appearance is never ever mentioned! This is because the best kind of attractiveness is an inward beauty. It comes from a woman’s character.
See this woman as an inspiration to be all you can be!
Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She will not hinder him but help him all her life.
She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. She is like a merchant’s ship; she brings her food from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. She goes out to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She watches for bargains; her light burn late into the night. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fibre.
She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.
She has no fear for winter for her household because all of them have warm clothes. She quilts her own bedspreads. She dresses like royalty in gowns of finest cloth.
Her husband is well known, for he sits in the council meeting with the other civic leaders.
She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs with no fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise and kindness is the rules when she gives instructions. She carefully watches all that goes on in her household and does not have to bear the consequences of laziness.
Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her. “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all.
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise. Proverbs 31 :10-30
May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue last only a moment. The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in men who are truthful (Proverbs 12:19, 22 NIV)
For more than 30 years, I have stressed that the bottom-line to real Christianity is having a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. I have consistently worked at this. I spent three hours daily with Jesus Christ in morning devotions; attended prayer meetings and church; taught the congregation in the church about Jesus Christ; walked two miles, five days a week; and even become a vegan all in an attempt to connect with Jesus Christ. But something was missing.
And then it happened. I found the missing link: HONESTY! A personal, intimate relationship with Christ Jesus isn’t possible unless you are completely honest with yourself and God. For the first time, I cried out “Honestly” to the Lord, begging Him to cleanse me of every sin in my life. I thought I was a pretty good person until the “little skeletons” started falling out of my closet and then the big ones. My soul was crushed, yet I begged God more and more to show me what I needed to do to “come clean” in my relationship with Him.
What has this experience done for me? As I have recognized how my Heavenly Father has blessed me “over and beyond measure” despite my sinfulness, not holding me in captivity but showering me with so many undeserved gifts. The question comes to my mind: what will He do now that my heart is totally surrendered to Him and ready to receive His grace? The thought just blew my mind!
2ndly, I now try to see people through the eyes of Jesus Christ. I see what they are becoming, not as they are now! Gone is the legalism. The whole world looks different!
My plea is, don’t just lay in church and miss eternal life, as I almost did. Be honest with yourself and God. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “I’m free at last; thank God Almighty, I’m free at last. And it feels so good.”
Have you been honest with God or are you harbouring some secret sins in your life? Ask God what it will take to “come clean” with Him, and see what skeletons fall out of your closet. – By Olujoba
May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. (1 Corinthians 11:3).
Is marriage a blessing or a curse? I’m sure the response you’d get for this question would be as varied as the number of people you ask. Even though the opinions of men differ; the Word of God is consistent: “Whose findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of The Lord” (Proverbs 18:22). Why then do some marriages become our excuse for skipping church services?
I often wonder why some people live as though marriage is a curse. I found that some people who used to be very committed in their local church suddenly become spiritually inert as soon as they are married. Should your marriage be your license for spiritual complacency? No! That’s not the grand design.
Your marriage shouldn’t create a chasm between you and God nor should it impair your fellowship with Him. Rather, it should draw you closer to Him. As a believer, it’s expected that you marry a fellow believer, who loves The Lord as you do. For this reason, there should be greater impact in the Kingdom of God (Deuteronomy 32:30) through your union. I Corinthians 11:3 says that the head of every man is Christ. Therefore, the man must be subject to the Lordship of the Word of God, just as his wife is subject to him. So, together they will fulfil the God-given vision and ministry for their family.
As the anointing of The Holy Spirit comes upon the man, it’ll flow down to his wife and the children, until it begins to influence their environment and a whole new generation is imparted with the power of God. This is the grand design.
The Lord testified of Abraham in Genesis 18:19; “For I know him (Abraham), that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” Can the Lord trust you in the same way? It’s time for a self-appraisal and to make necessary changes in your marriage and family, so the Lord may bring upon you that which He has spoken.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for granting me light and understanding of Your plans for my marriage. I submit to the authority of Your Word, so Your anointing may come upon every member of my household, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Why are you cast down, O my soul?…..Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him. (Psalm 42:5)
A study conducted by researchers at the university of Minnesota found that almost 15 percent of American teenagers felt it was “highly likely” that they would die before their 35th birthday. Those with this pessimistic outlook were more likely to engage in reckless behaviour. Dr. Iris Borrowsky, author of the study published in Pediatrics magazine, said: “These youth may take risk because they feel hopeless and figure that not much is at stake.”
No one is immune to feelings of despair. The Psalms express repeated pleas for help when life seems dark. “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence” (Ps. 42:5 NASB). In a defiant step of faith, the psalmist tells himself not to forget about God, who will never forsake him.
Curtis Almquist has written: “Hope is fuelled by the presence of God…..[It] is also fuelled by the future of God in our lives.” We can say with the psalmist, “I shall yet praise Him” (vs. 5).
No follower of Christ should feel reluctant to seek counsel for depression. Nor should feel that faith and prayer are too simplistic to help. There is always hope in God!- —–David McCasland.

I will be with them to the end,

Psalms_119-105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path
I affirm that I was born for such a time as this; I was born as an answer (a solution) to the cry of millions around the world. I am an answer from God; he who has seen me has seen the Father! I am not of this world, I hail from God. I am from above, and I am above the systems of this world. All things are working together for my good, because I love the Lord, and I am called according to His purpose. I am an able, competent, and unstoppable in life. My life gravitates upwards and forward only, from glory to glory. For me, a recession is just a word, it does not exist where I live. My path is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. I am ordained for greatness; I do great things in my world and in the regions beyond. Hallelujah! I am launched into higher realms of prosperity, blessings, and glory. I walk in God’s perfect will for me, because I am led by the Spirit of God from within. My life is full of beauty and excellence. I am properly positioned to experience the greater and mighty move of the Spirit in my day and I do wonders in my world. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, ‘Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?’ And I will surely hide my face in that day because of all the evil that they have done, because they have turned to other gods. “Now therefore write this song and teach it to the people of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the people of Israel. For when I have brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to give to their fathers, and they have eaten and are full and grown fat, they will turn to other gods and serve them, and despise me and break my covenant. …

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only… (James 1:22).
To the new creation, the Word of God is a mirror, and not a compilation of commandments to be obeyed. The Christian is a Word practitioner. This is something many are yet to understand.
For example, when you read in Ephesians 5:3-4: “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks,” it’s not a commandment. It’s not telling you what you must not do. Rather, it’s showing you who you are; the righteousness of God in Christ, with a sanctified heart, mind, and tongue.
The Word of God reflects your true nature, identity, origin, and heritage in Christ. The more you look at the Word, the more you see yourself. God’s Word is life; something to live out.
For example, when Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another” (John 13:34), He was addressing men and women of the senses; people who weren’t born again. But being born again, and having received the Holy Spirit, the Bible says, “…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5).
We’re not now commanded to love; we’re born of love; we’re the offspring of love; love is our nature. Thus, Romans 5:5 is a description of who you are. Once you can accept it, you become it. That’s the principle! When you read something in the New Testament that sounds like, “Don’t do this or don’t do that,” it means we’re those who don’t do such things! It’s a picture of you.
The Word, particularly the Epistles, paint the picture of the new creation. That’s how come as you’re studying and meditating on the Scriptures, suddenly, the Word of God comes alive to you! It then becomes how you see yourself every day.
That’s the miracle of growth, because as you discover who you are in the Word, you discover your beauty, and your glory increases. It’s a life of ever-increasing glory through the Word. Hallelujah.

1-John_4-4: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1:
Come, Thou Fount of ev’ry blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious measure
Sung by flaming tongues above;
O the vast, the boundless treasure
Of my Lord’s unchanging love
2:
Here I raise my Ebenezer
Hither by thy help I’m come;
And I hope, by thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a strange
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me form danger
Interposed his precious blood.
3:
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let that grace Lord like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to thee;
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love,
Take my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it from thy court above!
Thank You Jesus,

And He said unto them, “Come ye
yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest awhile: for there were many
coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat (Mark 6:31)
Many times
we just work and work and don’t know when to give our bodies the necessary
rest. It’s good to be hardworking and very diligent at work but at the same
time it’s equally important to realize that the human body has a limit of
exertion it can endure. Stretching it beyond that limit makes the body subject
to unnecessary wear and tear.
It’s
therefore important you take very good care of your body, not only in the
things you eat and do to your body, but also in making sure your body is well
rested. The Bible tells us how that God blessed and sanctified the seventh day: “because that in it He had rested from
all work…..” (Genesis 2:3).
The Lord
Jesus, as our opening scripture indicates, took time off with His disciples to
rest. Then in Mark 4:38, we learnt that He rested His body in sleep when He got
tired: “And He was in the hinder part of
the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto Him, Master,
carest thou not that we perish?” On
another occasion, He rested at the well of Samaria as revealed in John 4:6: “Now Jacob’s well was there: Jesus
therefore, being wearied with His journey, sat thus on the well: and it was
about the sixth hour”
The Lord
rested because He was tired. So it’s possible to get tired, and when you get
tired, you need to rest your body so it can recover. Many don’t do this and the
implication is that they stand the risk of wearing out their bodies. Giving
your body adequate rest is a way to maintain good health, so take it very
seriously.
PRAYER
DEAR FATHER, THANK YOU
FOR YOUR WORD THAT HAS ENLIGHTENED ME ON THE NECESSITY AND IMPORTANCE OF TAKING
GOOD CARE OF MY BODY. THROUGH YOUR HELP, I’M ABLE TO GIVE MY BODY THE NECESSARY
REST IT REQUIRES TO REMAIN HEALTHY, STRONG AND FIT FOR THE TASK AHEAD. I THANK
YOU, LORD, FOR YOUR WORD, INDEED, IS GAINING THE MASTERY OVER MY BODY, EVEN AS
IT RENEWS THE STRENGTH OF MY INNER MAN DAILY, IN THE MIG HTY NAME OF JESUS,
AMEN!
WHEN YOU KNOW THAT YOU WERE SAVED BY GRACE, YOU WON’T STRUGGLE WITH YOUR SALVATION. JESUS DID IT ALL.
Your days of struggling are over! Struggling with your salvation, health, finances, job, or relationships will come to an end the moment you realize Jesus did it all for you. He became poor that you, through His poverty, might be made rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9 tells us, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich.” When this scripture becomes real to you, you won’t struggle with lack anymore; when you know that you were saved by grace, you won’t struggle with your salvation by trying to work for it anymore.
It would be a tragedy for you to seek salvation and deliverance all your life when you have actually been delivered already. You’d never be truly happy because the purpose of the sacrifice of Jesus would not become a reality in your life. In this state, you won’t be able to accept forgiveness as you will always feel you were committing the same sin over and over again.
Eternal life starts here on earth! It’s the good life in Christ Jesus. It brings righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. When you allow God’s Word to gain ascendancy in your life, you’ll begin to live the God-kind of life. He’s taken you out of darkness into His marvellous light. You’ve been liberated!
When you accept that He has overcome the world, you will live the overcoming life (1 John 4:4). You might be thinking you can’t prosper except you work very hard. Remember, as faith without works is dead, so works without faith is dead. When you work, work with faith; work with confidence, not with doubt. Let the scriptures become real to you. When you’re starting anything new, start with faith and not with hopelessness, frustrations and struggles. You’ve been made free. Live without doubts; enjoy a life without struggles.
CONFESSION:
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places and I have a godly heritage. I don’t need to struggle for any good thing in life, for God is My Chosen and Assigned Portion, He has brought me to a good place and He maintains my lot, Amen!
2-Corinthians_12-9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me
