You should never lack anything because you have a legal document that confers on you the right to all of God’s wealth.

READ: Hebrews 9:17

A testament is a will. Jesus left us a will before He went to heaven. A will is only enforced after the death of the one who made the will. In other words, a testament is of no effect until the death of the testator. If a man writes a will, his will is of no power until the man is dead. Whoever he wills his estate to becomes the one with the legal right to possess it. If the will says everything belongs to the last born child in the family, he or she then becomes the only one with the legal document to possess the entire property.

The peculiarity of the will Jesus left for us is this: He knew there was nobody on the face of the earth who would execute His will for us, therefore He rose from the grave to see to it that we, the beneficiaries of that will, got our inheritance. When He ascended into heaven, He left us the HOLYSPIRIT, to show us the provisions of our inheritance: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God” (1 Corinthians 2:12).

Not only does the Holy Spirit lives in you, He’s with you to see to it that no one cheats you out of the provisions of the will Our Lord Jesus Christ left for us. In that will, it is stated that Eternal Life – the Indestructible Life of God – is your present – hour – possession! It is stated that you have a right to be forgiven all your sins. It is stated that you should never fail, be poor or be sick! You should never lack anything because you have a legal document that confers on you the right to all of God’s wealth.   That document says you’re a Prince of Power with God; you have favour everywhere you go; the angels of God have been assigned to watch over you and ensure everything works well with and for you. All you need is to acquaint yourself with the provisions of that will. Get to know what belongs to you by giving yourself to the careful and diligent study of God’s Word; that is His Will expressed to us.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that You daily enlighten the eyes of my understanding, so I may know and walk in Your perfect will for my life, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Come Now And Let Us Reason Together Says The LORD

God will wash you clean!

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith The LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18)

This scripture is undoubtedly one of the most touching statements ever recorded in the Bible. God pleads with His children to allow Him cleanse them of their sins and iniquities. You see, that you’re a Christian doesn’t mean you wouldn’t make any mistakes. You could make mistakes, but what you need to know is that the blood of Jesus is available to wash you from every wrong. It’s available to purify your heart. This is the Gospel!

You don’t have to remain in your sin. There’s the cleansing blood from the Calvary. It’s still working and you can be purified. “If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ The Righteous” (1 John 2:1). Believe in the Jesus Christ today! He was offered up for your offenses and raised for your justification. He takes responsibility for all your mistakes, all your sins, everything you’ve ever done wrong and will ever do wrong; He takes responsibility for them all. So, you can keep running the faith race without getting weighed down by the load and guilt of sin.

If you’ve committed sin and you know it, obtain forgiveness. There’s a shelf on the way as you’re running the faith race; pick up your forgiveness! Don’t stop and start digging for your sins; don’t let anything stop you from living the good life God pre-arranged for you to live. If you’ve been crying because you did something wrong, God says He has seen your tears; He’s accepting your crying. So, stop blaming yourself because that will only weaken your faith.

The blood of Jesus Christ can purge your conscience – the voice of your human spirit – from every dead works and set you aright to serve the living God (Hebrews 9:13-14). What you need is to believe in that Blood Of The Lamb! Believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That’s The Gospel! Forgiveness of sin for the believer is just as powerful as remission of sin for the sinner. Your sin will not determine what you become, for sin has been judged in Christ Jesus!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father!

I thank You because the blood of Jesus Christ guarantees my salvation and total deliverance from sin. I rejoice because I know I serve a God who loves me and sent His precious Son to die for me on account of my sins, thereby absolving me of every guilt and judgement of sin both now and forever, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Fellowshipping In Love

Acts 19:23

“And about that time there arose a great commotion about the Way.”
NKJV

The people of Ephesus either loved Paul or hated Paul. Why? Paul had a holy restlessness, a stirring in his heart that drove him to great lengths to share the Gospel message. It is important we understand that Christianity is not just about getting along with everybody. All of us are individually gifted and crafted for a unique purpose, but it doesn’t end there. If we do not use our gifts, it profits no one. In the same way, if our relationship with one another does not transform us, it’s not much of a relationship. Ministry changes people. It puts people together in situations that are often uncomfortable and stretches us in ways that we never thought possible. It causes us to drop our masks and be honest with one another.

Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.”

We are to think about one another, and how we can love and encourage one another. We are to stir up (incite or provoke) love and good works in one another. This is not always going to be comfortable, and it is not always going to be received in the way that we intended. Maybe that’s why the very next verse in Hebrews reads,

Hebrews 10:25 “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

I find it interesting that the verse telling us to stir up love and good works in one another is followed by a verse telling us to stay in fellowship. Why? Well, sometimes we can be offended by another’s encouragement. We’ve been chugging along thinking we’re doing great and then someone offers a word of encouragement that stirs us up. In a huff, we leave the fellowship. One of the resources God has provided for meeting our needs is other believers. When we sacrifice fellowship for comfort, we’re like an antelope separated from the herd. Suddenly, it’s not a question of ‘if’ we will be attacked, but ‘when’ we will be attacked.

Life Lesson: Ministry stirs things up.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much for the family that You have placed around me. Please give me a burden for the lost. Give me a burden to minister and encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ. Please take away any fear I have of doing this, and forgive me for the times when I have neglected to do this. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Be Inspired To Serve

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent” (Proverbs 28:20)

No matter the job or business you do, don’t let your utmost motivation stem from how much money you desire to make. Rather, be motivated by the dream of service; be inspired to serve! The Bible says a faithful man shall abound with blessings; that means he’ll surely prosper. A faithful man is a man that serves. If you’re a wife, mother, grandmother, politicians, student, civil servant, civil right leader, policeman, business man or business woman, let serving people be your dream. Become people and service – conscious.

God is more mindful and concerned about people than anything else. So, when you’re concerned about serving people through your work, God will be concerned about your success and prosperity – everything you do will prosper. Greed is what has stopped many from serving their nation and people the way they should. The undue ambition for gain and inordinate desire to amass wealth is an enemy of success; never let it rule your life.

As Christians we’ve been called to service; of both God and mankind. Be inspired by the importance of your job or business for the betterment of society. Don’t let the desire to have things be your driving force in life. Daisy Osborne said, “Work on being and not on having; for with what you are, you will have.” Don’t try to have cars, money, a vast estate or business empire; don’t try to have anything! Become something first and you will have.

The question you should always ask yourself is “Who am I? What have I made out of myself? How have I invested in my personality to make myself relevant and indispensable to my world?”  That’s what you need to do; investing in your personality to make you needed, relevant and indispensable to your generation. That’s the mentality of a service – conscious person.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father!

I pray for increased grace and wisdom to serve You and at the same time be relevant to my generation. I ask that by Your Spirit, You help me affect my world and impact everyone I meet with the investment of my personality, in Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Be Vigilant!

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Mark 13:37
When Jesus was asked about what would happen at the end of time, He
talked about being ready and gave examples of some people who were
ready and some who weren’t. Those who were ready were the Overcomers in
the churches. Just because you are saved doesn’t mean that you will be
in the rapture of the church. The cold, the lukewarm, those who have
lost their first love and are not producing for Christ, and those who are
caught up with the things of the world won’t automatically qualify for
the rapture. They are backslidden. This is a hard concept for people
who have been taught that if they have once been saved they are always
saved, and that once they are saved they can live whatever way they
want.
There is hope! You are still living in the age of grace! In order to
receive cleansing, we have to acknowledge our sin. You have to ask for
forgiveness. Repentance is not saying “Sorry” with your mouth; it is
changing your ways. When you do, you are cleansed from all
unrighteousness. We are in right standing with God again. It stands to
reason that if you have not acknowledged your sin, you are not in right
standing with God.
Prayer for Today
Dear Heavenly Father,
I acknowledge that I have sinned against You. I repent of my
self-directed ways and throw myself on Your mercy, grace, and
forgiveness. Thank You for Your blood and for Your strength to walk in
Your straight path. In Jesus Christ Name, amen!

How Much More, God?

This might be what you are feeling, or have felt lately, especially when it comes to the talk of high gas prices or more economic challenges!  Or maybe that is the question you have been asking for the trials you are facing or the things you are believing for: “How much more, God?!?”

I want you to be encouraged today to see this phrase “how much more” from a different perspective. Rather than “how much more can we take?” as if life’s challenges are so great that we can’t take any more of what we are facing, I want you to see that Jesus said “how much more” is God’s delight and desire in blessing you, and not just a question of frustration or hopelessness!

This is why we don’t need to look at the trial, sickness or challenge from the negative or hopelessness. Instead we need to claim our promise that God is going to intervene in our lives all the more than what we are facing!

Jesus said, in Luke 12:32, Fear not little flock, it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

He also encourages us that God is far better at providing for His children than earthly parents, Matthew 7:7-11. “How much MORE shall your Heavenly Father give to them who ask” verse 11.  Do you see it? How MUCH MORE God will bless or give to those who ask Him.

Are you ready to ask? Not a question of “How much more?” But asking the Father for those things that are deeply on your heart, and then watch “HOW MUCH MORE” He will bless you by meeting your needs!

Be encouraged today!

God Is Good To You, He Loves You!

Psalm 73:1 says:

“Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.”

We understand that God desires to be good to us.

James 1:17 says:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

God gives us a pure heart. He washes away our sins through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ, and He gives us His Word so that we may stay free from sin and transgression. He leads us into the paths of His Word and of righteousness for His Name’s sake. In other words, when this verse says God is good to Israel, to everyone who is of a clean heart, it simply means that God sent His Son to do away with the filth of the heart and the cause of the filth so that you can be pure of heart. Why? Because God wants to do you good! Isn’t that something?

God wants to do you good!

Though you may feel so small and insignificant in your own life and in the eyes of the world, God has been thinking about you, and He sent His Son to cleanse you so that He may do you good.
God loves you!

Are You A Doer? Or A Hearer Of The Word Of The Lord?

Are You A Doer? Or A Hearer Of The Word Of The Lord?

2 Kings 23:3-4

“Then the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people took a stand for the covenant. And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring out of the temple of the LORD all the articles that were made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.”
NKJV

I’ve met many Christians who know the Bible inside and out. They can quote scripture after scripture, word for word with verse references and even comment on the meaning. I’ve met fewer who actually do The Word Of GOD. This astounds me. What if a 16 year old kid memorizes the driver’s exam study book and aces the exam, but then goes out and runs every red light he comes across? He’s going to get hurt and will probably hurt someone else in the process. The same is true with the Word of God. Think of some Christians on street corners with sandwich boards and megaphones hardening the hearts of everyone around them. They have the ‘head knowledge’ but they have not made the ‘heart application’.

To the other extreme are Christians who use church as a social club. They nod their heads and ‘Amen‘ the pastor, but their day to day life speaks nothing of following Jesus Christ. Solid biblical teaching assigns the hearer the responsibility to act on what they learn. So, where do you fall in this? Are you a Doer or just a Hearer of The Word Of God?

Life Lesson: We need to be acting on the Word of God.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me. Please forgive me for times when I have failed to live by Your Word. I thank You for giving me Your Word. Help me to make doing what You tell me the priority in my life. Help me to love You and to love others. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Get Ready! Jesus Is Coming Soon!

Get Ready! Jesus Is Coming Soon

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matthew 25:13.
This verse concludes the parable of the ten virgins, where five had oil
in their lamps and were ready to go out, and five were foolish and
missed the marriage.

In the seven churches Jesus addressed in
Revelation 2 and 3, there were people in every church who had received
eternal life, whose names were written in the book of life. Satan had
infiltrated six of those churches, and to those Jesus said: “To him
that overcometh those issues….” The overcomer was found ready.
This verse contains the point of the parable: watch therefore. In other
words, be ready, because you don’t know the time when the Son of Man
will come. Being ready means to be faithful. It means to be true.
To be ready, you can’t lose your first love. You can’t be a
compromiser. You can’t deny Jesus. You can’t allow false doctrine. You
can’t get caught up in all the pleasures of this world. You have to
overcome those problems, act on the Word, and keep a proper focus.
Prayer for Today
Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to be ready! I want to be true! I want to be totally sold out to
the purposes of Your kingdom. I will stay true through Your grace and
Your power! In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Obedience Keeps Us Covered

Obedience Keeps Us Covered

Many people believe in the Bible, but it is important to act on the Bible. In order to build our lives in righteousness, we must walk in strict obedience to the Word of God. By doing so, we will gain the covering of the protection of the Lord. God is continuously trying to bring protection, peace and joy into our lives, but when we walk outside of the laws of His kingdom, He is restricted by our own actions. God made us free moral agents with a will to choose of our own accord. Our lives become the sum total of the choices that we have made, yet many of us still blame God for the delays and disappointments in our lives. The foundation of our lives will only be as strong as our obedience. To build our house upon the rock that can never be torn down by the winds and storms of life, we must be obedient to the Word. We must study and place it in our hearts, so that we will never come out from the protective covering of the Lord.

Scripture Study

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.” (Matthew 7:24, KJV)

Be like the Father

This week’s characteristic of the Father’s family is action – we must act on God’s Word in order to have the covering of God’s protection.

God Still Heals

God Still Heals

Acts 19:11-12

“Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.”
NKJV

In this verse, we see that it is God who works the miracles out among people, not Paul. This is an interesting section of scripture that some have twisted for their own monetary gain in the selling of such items as prayer cloths and other “miracle producing items”. The miracles were not from the handkerchiefs nor from Paul, but from God. These were merely the instruments God used. We should desire to be God’s instrument. God used unexpected means to restore health to those who were ill.

The Bible is a supernatural book. Jesus, our leader who died and didn’t stay dead, offers us eternal life. While this passage is not a model for ministry, it does demonstrate that God can work through various unconventional means to draw people to Him. God used Paul to heal people then, and God still uses people today. Did God use Paul to heal everyone that he came across? No. Some were healed and some were not. Remember, Paul prayed for God to heal him and apparently Paul was not healed. We should pray for God to heal others and even expect God to heal them while trusting in His will.

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 “Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” NKJV

God said to Paul, “I am not going to heal you but give you the grace to get through it.” Sometimes God doesn’t heal us and take us out of our situation or condition, but He gives us the strength to go through it. When He heals, we give Him the glory. When He doesn’t, we are made stronger in our walk with Him.

Life Lesson: God can and does heal people.

Forgiveness is a choice not a feeling.

Matthew 6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, Your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
Forgiving someone is giving it to God, refusing to try and vindicate yourself. Forgiveness takes time, and it’s a choice that needs to be made, it is not a feeling! Choose to forgive, lay it down and surrender that hurt and anger to God. Allow Him to heal your broken heart and don’t allow un-forgiveness to keep you from what God has for you.

If You have been blessed and Touched by the Lord, Share Your Testimony

Acts 22:2-3

“Then he said: ‘I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers’ law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today.'”
NKJV

In Acts 22, Paul shares his ‘God story’, his testimony. Why is he doing this? Is it so others will be amazed at his religious upbringing or at the depth of his biblical training? Is it to glorify his past? No, Paul is sharing his testimony to lead others to Christ by explaining who he was before Jesus, what Jesus did, and the joy that he now has because of Jesus. This is one of the most effective ways of sharing your faith. You see, people can argue about historical facts and they can disagree over cultural details, but people cannot argue with the fact that you found love, joy and forgiveness at the foot of the cross. Brother or sister, don’t be shy about telling your ‘God story’. Tell it to as many as will listen and you will be amazed at how God will use it to change the lives of those around you.

Life Lesson: Share your life story often with people.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me and saving me. Though I was a sinner, You sought me out and saved me from who I was so that I could live for You forever. Give us this day our daily bread (Matthew 6:11)

Today! I want to encourage you to remember who it is who meets all of your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

It is your Heavenly Father!

He who did not withhold His Son for you, but gave Him up as a sacrifice for you, certainly He will withhold no good thing from you on this day.

The gift of salvation reveals how willing God is to do us good. It shows us His kind intention toward us. It gives us a glimpse of His great love, His wonderful grace, and His everlasting mercy. Provision has been made for you, but it requires the prayer of faith to receive it. You must pray for salvation before it ever becomes real in your life. In the same way you must pray for every need to be met before God can enter your life and supply all of your need. So pray today, because your Heavenly Father is waiting to respond to you in love so that you may be satisfied with good life and length of days, Amen!

Love Means Discipline

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and
repent.
Revelation 3:19

The Lord said, “If I love you, I will rebuke you.” People transpose
this statement. They think that love means allowing people to do what
they want and never saying a cross word, but God doesn’t love that way.
The Lord will chasten you, and He chastens you with His Word. What are
you to do when He does? Hebrews 12:1 says that we are to “lay aside
every weight.” In other words, we are to make up our mind and act.

You get through tough times in the same manner as Jesus. Jesus had the
strength to endure the beatings and the crucifixion by focusing on what
God was going to give Him. You have to look at the joy. You have to see
your future reward. You can’t look at what is in front of you but at
what is coming for you.

Jesus resisted in that garden until His sweat was almost as big as
great drops of blood. It’s possible that his pores opened, and he
actually sweated blood. The pressure on Him to avoid that crucifixion
was immense, but He resisted it.

Hebrews 12:8 says that if we don’t receive God’s chastening, then we
are bastard sons. God does not chasten with sickness and disease,
poverty and lack, or fear and depression. You are a spirit, and the
chastisement goes to your spirit. I have been chastened by God, and I
would rather have been the recipient of a belting than to hurt so in my
spirit being when He set me straight with the Word.

Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father!
You know my standing up and my sitting down. You now all my ways, and I
choose to lay aside everything that hinders my faith and focus on who
You are, what You have promised, and the joy and future reward that You
have planned for me. Thank You! In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Stray Temptation

“Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure”. 1 Timothy 5:22

It will shock you to know that it is easier to manage lack and hardship than to manage abundance and pleasure. If you live in single room in a “face-me-I-face-you” building (Buildings with multiple tenants of low-income class), it is easier for you to wake up and pray even at night than when you live in an expensively furnished bedroom with water bed in a mansion overseeing the sea. When you want to get up to pray in such a house, the comfort of the bed will motivate you to sleep some more. Before you know it, it will be dawn. Let us take the case of David as an example (2 Samuel 11:1;12:14). While David was being chased from cave to cave, he had no time to think of committing adultery, but after being crowned king and baptized into comfort, when he should have been at war, he was resting and so he saw what he should not have seen and got into trouble.

It is important to be where God wants you to be always. During evangelism, He expects you to be in the field witnessing to souls. During rehearsal time or Sunday school preparatory class, God expects you there if you are a teacher. He expects you in service during the time for service. Any time you are not where God expects you to be, you open yourself to see or encounter what you should not, and you may find yourself in trouble. Do you know that the devil could have planned for one of David’s servants who stayed in the palace to be the one to see the naked Beersheba? But because David was in the wrong place, he got trapped by this temptation. Many people, like David, have entered into trouble not planned for them and become victims of stray temptations. One way to avoid this is by being where God wants you to be at every point in time. But even when confronted with such temptations, know that God’s grace is sufficient to overcome all temptations. Ask God to guide your steps aright from today.

God Or Man Pleasers

John 5:43-44, “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?”

JOHN 5:28-47

This is in reference to the fact that Jesus came in the power and authority of His father to point men to Father God. Jesus existed before His advent on this earth in the form of God and was equal with God. Yet, He humbled Himself and became a servant while here on earth (Phil. 2:6-8).

He did not come to promote Himself but to give His life to provide the way to the Father (Jn. 14:6). In the same way, the Holy Spirit does not exalt Himself, but points all men unto Jesus. Jesus came, meek and lowly, totally submitted unto and seeking only to please the Father.

This is radically different from the way so called “great men” present themselves. The Roman Caesar of Jesus’ day proclaimed that he was God and demanded worship. Lesser leaders ruled by exalting themselves over the people they governed; but, Jesus showed us that “whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mt. 20:26-28).

If we are concerned about what people think in an attempt to gain their approval (or honour), we will never take a stand in faith for anything that might be criticized. This one thing has probably stopped as many people from receiving from God as anything else. You cannot be a “man-pleaser” and please God at the same time. Commit your all to Him – every thought, word, and deed.

All of God’s power is wrapped up in the Gospel

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…..(Romans 1:16)

Our Lord Jesus Christ told us to preach the gospel which is the “Good News” of what His death, burial and resurrection accomplished for humanity. The gospel is more than a nice moralistic story of what God’s Son did for humanity. According to the bible, the gospel is in itself the power of God unto salvation. The Word “Salvation” is the all-encompassing word that describes the totality of the good work God has wrought for us. This means that the totality of God’s power to do anything for any man is fully resident in the Gospel. It is this power that turns sinners into saints in a moment of time.

It doesn’t matter what need a man might have, the solution is in the Gospel. All you need to come out trouble or any precarious situation is to hear and receive the Gospel of Christ Jesus as pertains to your situation. For example, the Gospel to the one who is broke and in debt is that he has an inheritance in Christ Jesus and so he has no business living in lack. As soon as he receives that Word and endorses it, that’ll be the end of his poverty.

The Gospel to the one who is sick is that divine health has been made available through Christ Jesus. As soon as he receives it, it will be impossible for sickness and disease to hold him down. No matter the situation in which you find yourself, the solution is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thus if you’re reading this today and you’re not yet saved, what you need is to believe in your heart, and declare with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord of your life from this day forward! Ask Him to come live in you and make your heart the place of His abode. When you do this, God’s power will begin to work in you and you’ll be awakened to the fatherhood of God. You’ll become a brand new species of being that never existed before (2 Corinthians 5:17)! That’s the power of the Gospel!

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me the awesome power that’s wrapped up in the Gospel. I thank You for making the provisions of the Gospel available to me such that I can direct your power at any situation I desire to change, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The God Head: Team Players!

The God Head: Team Players!

“That they all maybe one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou has sent me.” (John 17:21).

In John 10:30, Jesus says, “I and my Father are one”. This, contrary to what some teach, does not mean that they are one in number, because 1 John 5:7 says they are three: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, The Word, and The Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” Both scriptures therefore speak of oneness in terms of unity. This is a lesson for us today. If there were any individuals who could do all things all by themselves, it is the members of the Godhead. God The father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit are individually self-sufficient enough to work independently. Philippians 2:5-6 says when Jesus Christ existed as God the Son, He was co-equal with God The Father and God the Holy Spirit. Each could have decided to go His own way and have His own creations and universes, operating alone. Yet, despite all their powers and individuality, they decided to work together as one. Looking at the Godhead, you will find the unity and cooperation inherent simply incomparable.

God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit work together as team players. Each steps down for the other. For instance, God The Son took the form of a man and waited on God The Father’s instructions every step of the way. He also could not do anything without the backing of the Holy Spirit. Each of them shared out a period in which they would rule, and agreed that later will jointly rule as God in all eternity. If Godhead can be so united, being so powerful, why are we finding it difficult to be united, or to work together as a team? Unity and team work are hallmarks of humility. If you find it difficult to work with others, it is because you are proud. If you always want to do it alone, you have a haughty spirit. No man is an island! We need one another!

Even in the heavenly planet today, there is so much of team-play going on. God is interested in team-players, not individual stars. True leaders, like the Godhead, will have no problem working with others. It is because God wants to encourage team-spirit that is why He distributed His gifts in such a way that the hands will need the eyes, and the eyes will need the legs. You are not self-sufficient! You need others!

Prayer Point: Thank God for what He has invested in others. Ask God for the grace to see what others have and work with them to achieve God-glorifying Kingdom and secular goals.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Stay clear of rebellion. When unity is useless

Stay clear of rebellion. When unity is useless

“And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are” (John 17:11).

One thing that singled out Jesus and His disciples was their level of unity. They could accomplish so much together because of this virtue. However, from the Lord’s Prayer above, the Lord expressed His desire for His disciples to be united as He is with the Father, even after He would have left the scene. Any unity born out of the contrivance of man may not last. If you exclude God in your quest for unity, the centre will not hold. Whatever you are bringing together may part ways naturally. If you look at the unity that exists among God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit, you may find it incomprehensible. There is no record of disagreement in their relationship. They are so united that they can never be divided. There is nothing mortals or spirits can do to cause division in their midst. No wonder Jesus specifically asked for such heavenly unity to operate among His disciples! May Heaven’s unity operate in our midst! Amen!

There is power in unity but if people are united against God’s will. It will not stand. About 100 years after the floor, the earth had one language. Even though God wanted them to spread to different parts, they decided to stay together. Besides, under the leadership of Nimrod, they wanted to build a tower whose height would reach the sky. They were not repentant. They though God was confined to judging sin only through a flood. Their tower was to be their escape route from any future judgment for sin. As they built the city and the tower, they continued in their idolatry. When God came and saw what they were doing, and how united they were in achieving their evil goal, He brought confusion into their midst by multiplying their tongues and languages. As a result, they carried out His original plan for spreading across the globe. If you are united in sin, you cannot escape God’s judgment (Proverbs 11:21). Some agreements in the church of God are satanic. Some pastors or church leaders form camps and begin to pray against fellow leaders or camps. That is witchcraft! If what unites you with a group of believers is gossiping, you may be calling for the axe. Never unite with others to do something evil. It will backfire!

Uniting against God, His Word or His children erodes all the gains from unity as a powerful force. Stay clear of rebellion.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!
