Bible – Prepare your heart for the word of God by speaking in tongues at all times

If you want a harvest of crops from your seed, you must sow
in a fertile ground. A good farmer wouldn’t sow his seed just anywhere. He’s
trained to cultivate the soil so his seed can produce much harvest. The Lord
Jesus likened the heart of man to the soil in the parable of the sower in Mark
4:2-8. In the same vein, if you want the Word of God to produce results in your
life, you must prepare your heart to receive the Word.

The first thing you must do is, cultivate the ground of your
heart in readiness for the seed of the Word of God. The Bible says, “…….Break
up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns” (Jeremiah 4:3). This is done
by praying in other tongues.

When you pray in other tongues, you’re actually charging up
yourself (1 Corinthians 14:4). That way, you become more susceptible to the
move of the Holy Spirit and you can easily pick up revelations from the realm
of the spirit. Soon, you’ll begin to declare faith-filled words as they well up
from your inner man. These words act as the water and fertilizer for your
heart. Keep at it, until you’re charged to maximum.

The next thing you must do is to quieten your mind to
receive the Word. The reason your mind is important is that it is the doorway
to your spirit. As such, it must be kept quiet to avoid being distracted by
what I call “spiritual noise”. When you’re distracted your mind easily wanders,
and you can’t receive the right thoughts from the Word. There’s a great difference
between listening to and actually hearing the Word. You listen with your ears,
but hear with your heart.

I encourage you to make effort always to create the right
environment for the Word of God in your heart. This is how to make the harvest
of the Word of God thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as was
planted in your heart. Make every Word of God count today!

CONFESSION

I REFUSE TO WALK IN
UNBELIEF; I HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE WHERE THE WORD OF GOD OPERATES IN MY
LIFE IN SPITE OF THE PREVAILING SITUATIONS. I CONSTANTLY GAZE AT THE WORD AND
REFUSE TO BE DISTRACTED FOR AS I CONTINUE TO LOOK I’M BEING TRANSFORMED TO THE
IMAGE OF HIM THAT CALLED ME. HALLELUJAH! AMEN!!

God Has Given You The Victory, So Stand Firm and Be Unmovable

2 kings
4:8-37 narrates the inspiring story of a Shuna-mmite wowan. Whenever the
Prophet Elisha went to shunem, he stayed in her house. However, this woman and
her husband didn’t have any child. When Elisha discovered this, he told her to
expect a son, and in due course, she had a son.

Trouble
struck few years later when the child died, but the woman knew what to do. She
quickly dashed off to the Prophet Elisha with only one declaration on her lips,
“It is well”. Though there was a problem, she kept affirming that all was well.
She had an expectation, and she held on to that expectation even when it seemed
impossible; she kept on declaring it until she got it.

Just as this
woman did, you have to look at your situation through the eyes of your spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 says, “…..thanks
be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable…..”
Another
translation says, “……stand firm, let
nothing move you”
(NIV). God has given you the victory, so stand firm and
be unmovable. Don’t allow your thoughts and senses rule you, let God’s Word and
His Spirit direct you.

When trouble comes, God’s will is for
something good to come out of it. At such times, you must remember He is with
you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. If He delivered you in the past,
He will do it again. Call those times of deliverance to remembrance and express
your gratitude to God for them. That’s how to trust God and hold on to Him with
joy even in adversity.

What problem
are you facing today? Put God’s Word first, declare what He says about that
situation; be steadfast and unmovable in Him and declare with joy that all is
well! Amen!!!!

CONFESSION

I DECLARE THAT IT IS
WELL WITH ME. I’M NOT MOVED BY WHAT I SEE IN THE NATURAL BUT STAND FIRMLY ON
GOD’S WORD; AND THE POWER OF GOD IS RELEASED TO CAUSE A DESIRED CHANGE AS I
SPEAK THE WORD TO MY SITUATION IN JESUS CHRIST NAME. AMEN!

God Blesses You So You Can Be A Blessing To Others!

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

God is a
giver; therefore everyone that must function at His level must inculcate the
giving mentality. One reason some folks in the Body of Christ experience
challenges in their lives is that they haven’t imbibed a giving attitude. Make
up your mind and purpose in your heart to imbibe a giving culture. That’s when
you’ll discover the essence, beauty and glory of Christianity. God’s manifold
blessings belong to givers; not takers!

There’s
nothing wrong with receiving, but God says it’s more blessed to give than to
receive. The person who gives is higher than the one that receive. The person
who gives is higher than the one that takes. Don’t be “taking” conscious;
rather, become “giving” conscious!

When you
understand what true Christianity is, you’d realize that life is about giving.
You’d discover that the reason God blesses you is so you can be a blessing to
others. God is always mindful of others. He’s always mindful of those who’re not
as blessed as you; or at least, haven’t found out about their blessings as you
have.

That’s why
whatever He gives you, whatever He blesses you with, no matter how big or small
it is; He expects you to share it with others. God’s unusual blessings are reserved
for givers. Therefore, always be quick to release; always be prompt to give
more willingly and cheerfully for God loves a cheerful giver and for it is more
blessed to give than to receive.

CONFESSION

I HAVE THE NATURE AND
ATTITUDE OF MY HEAVENLY FATHER; THE NATURE THAT GIVES; THE ATTITUDE THAT
RELEASES WITH EASE. I RECOGNIZE THAT I’M BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING THEREFORE I
AM A JOYOUS, CHEERFUL, AND PROMPT TO DO IT GIVER. AND MY HEART IS IN MY GIVING
ALWAYS! AMEN!

Holy Spirit is With You Forever

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

And I will pray the Father, and He
shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever (John
14:16).

Some Christians
think the Holy Spirit sometimes goes on a break, or takes a recess just because
at such times they didn’t “feel” His presence. You don’t have to “feel” God to
know that He’s with you. Rather, you ought to know that He’s with you always,
because the Word says so. Jesus said, “…….and,
lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”
(Matthew
28:20). He didn’t say, “I’m with you only
when you can “feel” that I am.”
Many have reduced their experience of Christianity
to the carnal realm of feeling, and that’s so wrong, for we walk by faith and
not by sensory perceptions (2 Corinthians 5:7).

But you
might want to ask, “What if someone, having received the Holy Spirit at the New
Birth, backslides and feels that the Holy Spirit has left him or her, is this
just a feeling or was the Holy Spirit actually frustrated with all the sin in
such a person?” Well, God is not a man (Numbers 23:19), and He doesn’t act like
some earthly parents who wouldn’t relate with their kids for doing something
wrong. Sadly, this is the poor perception of God that some folks have.

That you did
something wrong won’t make the Holy Spirit leave you. Remember, you weren’t
made right with God because of your own righteousness; it came because God gave
you His righteousness. Thus, His presence with you isn’t dependent on what you
did right or wrong, or the way you feel. His presence is dependent on His
infallible Word; because of His love! That’s the reason He’ll never leave you
nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Read again
the words of Jesus in our opening verse, He said”And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter,
that He may abide with you forever”
(John 14:16). God the Father, through
the Holy Spirit abides with you forever, not sometimes. Don’t consider what
your feelings tell you. As long as you haven’t wilfully rejected Christ and His
sacrifice of salvation for you on the Cross, the Holy Spirit cannot and will
not leave you!

Even when
you err and start feeling as though the Holy Spirit has left you, it’s still
the Holy Spirit who guides you unto repentance, proving His presence with you
even at such times. If He left you, you could never return to Him! But He
wouldn’t, for He’s with you to fulfil His ministry in your life, till Jesus
comes. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

PRECIOUS LORD, I THANK
YOU FOR THE RICH FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHICH I ENJOY LAVISHLY TODAY,
AND FOREVER. WHAT JOY TO KNOW THAT I’M ORDAINED INTO THIS WONDERFUL UNION AND
FELLOWSHIP WITH YOU FOR ETERNITY! AMEN!

Christians Are Called To Inherit Blessings And Not A Curse. You Can not be Cursed!

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1)

According to
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome “I encountered a Christian woman recently who, on
account of certain misfortune she suffered over a period of time, came to the
conclusion that her predicament was the result of a curse. She wanted to know
from me if it was possible for a Christian to be under a curse. I explained to
her from the Word that a Christian can’t be under a curse because the Bible
says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, that if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation,
superior to satan; and so cannot be under a curse”.

A Christian
is called to inherit a blessing and not a curse (1Peter 3:9). This was the
promise of God to Abraham in Genesis 12:3: “And
I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee
shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
As believers in Christ, we have inherited the
blessing of Abraham. So the Bible teaches in Galatians 3:29: “And if ye be
Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Ignorance
of this truth is however the problem of all those who believe the reason they’re
not doing well in life is because they are under the influence of a curse or
some voodoo spell.

If you’re
born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, no one can place a curse on you! Even
if they tried, it wouldn’t work, for the Bible says no weapon fashioned against
you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Numbers 23:23 says, “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any
divination against Israel……”
 So you
see, you don’t need any deliverance or special prayers for a curse to be lifted
from your life, for the truth is, you cannot be cursed.

Look at it
this way, if you were to be cursed as a child of God, who is to see to it that
the curse produces result? Is it the devil? You’re more powerful than the
devil. Is it God? God is your Heavenly Father, why would He supervise a curse
against you? The only Christian, however, who can be under a curse, is the one
who is at variance with the Word of God. When you ignore the Word of God, you
take yourself outside the protective cover of the Word, and that in itself is a
curse. But as long as you stay in the Word, you’ll be like a tree planted by
the rivers of water; fruitful and productive for eternity! Praise God!

PRAYER

DEAR FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR
WORD. IT’S IN MY HEART AND MY MOUTH TODAY! I MEDITATE UPON IT DAY AND NIGHT AND
THEREBY MAKE MY WAY PROSPEROUS. I CANNOT BE CURSED BECAUSE YOUR WORD IS MY LIFE
AND YOUR BLESSING REMAINS MY PORTION, IN JESUS CHRIST NAME. AMEN!

Faith Is Based On The Word Of God, Not “Optimism”

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

The faith that works and produces result is the one that’s
based on God’s Word. Someone may say, “I’m very hopeful and confident about the
future; I’m optimistic that the miracle I’m expecting will come to pass!” as
beautiful as that may sound, it’s not faith. You must have the Word of God as
the basis for your believing and confession, for faith is based on God’s Word;
it’s the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

Faith is expressed when you act on the Word. The Apostle Paul
expounded in the Book of Romans how Abraham demonstrated strong faith on the
basis of what God told him in Genesis 17:5 “……for
a father of many nations have I made thee”
. hence the Bible says “He staggered
not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving
glory to God” (Romans 4:20). Abraham had God’s Word as evidence and spoke in
agreement with God; that was how his faith prevailed.

Another example is the story of the Syrophenician woman in
mark 7 ; a remarkable example of true faith. Her young daughter had an unclean spirit,
so she came and fell at the feet of the Master and beseeched Him to cast the
devil out her daughter (Mark 7:25-26). But in verse twenty seven, Jesus said to
her, “……let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the
children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.” Her response was “……yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table
eat of the children’s crumbs”
(Mark 7:28). Commending her faith, the Lord
Jesus said “…..For this saying goes thy
way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And when she was come to her house,
she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed”
(Mark
7:29-30). Observe that she acted on what Jesus said and went home; when she got
home she found her daughter healed. She didn’t act on mere optimism or impulse
of what she thought would happen, but on the Master’s infallible word.

Mere optimism is not a substitute for faith, for it doesn’t
have its foundation on God’s Word. It doesn’t matter how much you anticipate or
are hopeful for the best possible outcome in an endeavour, it still wouldn’t
work if your hope doesn’t translate to faith. True faith transcends the realms
of human theories, reasoning, impulses and optimism because faith is spiritual
and only come to you through the Word of God. So, for your faith to work and
produce results, it’s got to be based on God’s Word.

PRAYER

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, I
REJOICE TODAY AT YOUR WORD THAT’S BUILDING MY FAITH STRONG AND ENRICHING ME IN
ALL THINGS. YOUR WORD IS MY LIFE, AND THE LIGHT THAT SHOWS ME HOW TO WALK IN
THE PATHS OF VICTORY, PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS, FROM DAY TO DAY, IN JESUS CHRIST
NAME, AMEN!

Holy Spirit Will Help You Pray The Perfect Will Of God

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

Likewise the Spirit
also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we
ought: but the Spirit Itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which
cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26)

Some people
become so overwhelmed by their problems that they find it difficult to pray. As
a child of God, you should never find yourself in such a situation. But if that’s
where you are, I want you to know the Holy Spirit can help you out of the
quagmire.

When everything
around you is going the wrong direction and you don’t know what to do anymore,
the Holy Spirit is there to help you. Romans 8:26 says, “…….God’s Spirit is
right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it
doesn’t matter. He (The Holy Spirit) does our praying in and for us…..” (MSG).

A lot of
people make wrong choices because they are ignorant of the Lord’s Will. God knows
exactly what you require. He also knows that you can unwittingly make wrong
choices or even ask amiss when you pray. The Bible says The Holy Spirit can
help you in that weakness. The Holy Spirit will help you pray when you don’t
know what to say or how to say it; He’ll give you the right words to say and
help you present your request before the Lord. The Bible says, “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue
speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in
the Spirit he speaketh mysteries”
(1 Corinthians 14:2). Whenever you pray
in other tongues, it’s the Holy Spirit that gives you utterance.

God also
knows there could be times when words become difficult to utter; you’re totally
at loss for words. The Holy Spirit can help you present your request at such
times as well. “How?” you may want to ask. By “……making prayer out of our
wordless sighs, our aching groans” (Romans 8:26 MSG). Isn’t God so caring and
loving! He has you covered; He didn’t leave any situation out.

Therefore,
it makes no difference how terrible your situation is, The Holy Spirit is
always there, directing your steps and helping you through it all. He is your
Advocate.

PRAYER

DEAR HOLY SPIRIT, I
THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME WORDS BY WHICH TO COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY WITH MY HEAVENLY
FATHER. AS I PRAY IN OTHER TONGUES, I YIELD MY VOCAL ORGANS TO YOU AND ASK THAT
YOU FILL IT WITH WORDS OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING TO THE LORD FOR HIS MIGHTY
WORKS IN MY LIFE, IN JESUS CHRIST NAME, AMEN!

You Are Established To Shine In Zion.

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber to be an example of a charismatic religious leader. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

THEY THAT TRUST IN THE
LORD SHALL BE AS MOUNT ZION, WHICH CANNOT BE REMOVED, BUT ABIDETH FOREVER
(PSALM 125:1).

As a child
of God, you dwell in Zion. That’s the city of your habitation, and you’ve been
planted there to shine. In Psalm 1:3, the Bible talks about the man whose
delight is in the Word and meditates on it day and night: “…….he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and
whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.

This verse
of Scripture is talking about the saints; that’s you. You’re like the tree
planted by the rivers of water; you’re bringing forth your fruit in season, and
your leaves shall not wither. Anything you do; whatever you’re connected with,
shall prosper. What a blessing this is! That’s another way of letting you know
that you’ve been established to shine in Zion. You’ve been ordained to prosper,
experience divine health, succeed and excel in every area of your life.
Hallelujah!

But this is
not so for the ungodly (non – Christians) – they are like the chaff blown away
by the wind; therefore, are unable to stand in the judgment and their ways end
in destruction (Psalm 1:4-6). The judgment the psalmist is talking about here
is not the great judgment of the bye–and–bye; he’s referring to the winds of
opposition. In other words, when contrary winds blow, the ungodly will not
stand.

You are like
Mount Zion and have been established on the Rock, Christ Jesus. He is the Rock
of your salvation as well as your success, prosperity and divine health.
Therefore, you’ll forever remain unshakable in the face of adversities and oppositions,
for you’ve been plucked out of the miry clay of fear, defeat and death, and
established to experience eternal glory, victory, peace and prosperity. You’ve
been established to be fruitful and productive, and shine all the days of your
life.

PRAYER

DEAR FATHER IN HEAVEN,
I’M SO GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR ESTABLISHING ME IN THE PATH OF PROSPERITY, SUCCESS,
HEALTH, PEACE AND JOY. AS I DELIGHT MYSELF IN YOU, I ASK THAT YOU CAUSE MY LIFE
TO BLOSSOM IN AN EVER INCREASING MEASURE AS I MAKE YOUR WORD MY STAY AND
MEDITATION ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE, IN JESUS CHRIST NAME, AMEN!

Fear not!

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

Though a host should
encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me,
in this will I be confident (Psalm 27:3)

Fear is one
of the most important tools of the adversary, the devil. The moment you yield
your heart to it, it’ll create the perfect environment for him to plunder your
life. Fear is a tormenting and domineering spirit; its intent is to take over
your life. You mustn’t yield to it or give it room in your heart.

Jairus was
on his way to his house with the Lord Jesus when he heard that his daughter was
dead. Jesus had to quickly rebuke the spirit of fear to stop it from dominating
his heart (Luke 8:49-50).

In Psalm
46:1-2, the psalmist expressed his confidence and boldness to confront
terrifying situations fearlessly. The reason was that he had spent a lot of
time studying and meditating on God’s law. You see, the information you allow
into your mind will determine the condition of your heart. For this reason, we
are admonished by the spirit of God in Proverb 4:23 to keep and guard our
hearts with all vigilance and above all that we guard, “…….for out of it flow the springs of life” (AMP).

God has
given us a powerful weapon to cast out fear. That weapon is His Word. The Bible
says, “For the Word of God is quick, and
powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword….”
(Hebrews 4:12). The Word
is all you need to get rid of fear in your life. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and
hearing by the Word of God.”
As you receive it into your spirit, you’re
emboldened and empowered to face and win everyday’s challenges.

When you
fill your heart with God’s Word, you’ll no longer be fearful or succumbs to
satan’s manoeuvres.

CONFESSION

I am growing in the knowledge of God’s
Word and God’s perfect love. God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of
power, love, and a sound mind. Therefore, I refuse to fear and yield to its
tormenting power for fear has no place in my life, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

With God all things are possible

IMG_4508

Image by JayKay Choi via Flickr

Has someone ever told you “That’s absolutely impossible; there’s no way you can get that done!” You looked at them with fire in your eyes and said, “Impossible? What do you mean ‘Impossible?’” I’m sure that’s the same way the Lord Jesus looked at His disciples when they told Him, “Lord, that’s absolutely impossible, where are we going to get food to feed all these people!” They suggested to Him to send away the people that had been with Him in the wilderness three days, listening to Him teach and preach the gospel of the Kingdom. They couldn’t see the possibility of Jesus feeding such a great multitude. As far as they were concerned, it just couldn’t happen.

“Are we going to send them away hungry?” Jesus asked them.

“What in the world does He expect us to do?” they wondered at Him. Then to let Him see just how impossible it was, they told Him, “Well, there’s a little boy here with his lunch of three loaves and two fishes.”

Then Jesus said, “Alright, now bring that boy’s lunch here to me”

You know the rest of the story. Jesus fed five thousand men, excluding women and children (totalling twelve to fifteen thousand people), with three loaves of bread and two fishes! That’s not all; there were twelve basketful of leftovers!

You know, God fed the children of Israel in the wilderness all through the time they were there and He never complained once to anyone of shortage! When you read your Bible properly, you’ll realize the import of this. You may have thought manna only fell on the Israelites’ camp a few days. Wrong! For forty years that they were in the wilderness, God fed the children of Israel every day with manna from heaven. That may be impossible for men to do but, with our God, that’s just what He specializes in.

CONFESSION

I serve the God with whom all things are possible, and because I believe in Him, all things are possible with me too. My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus and I live in success, abundance, prosperity and health, Amen!

Your prosperity is in your mouth

Crepe myrtle heart

Image by Martin LaBar via Flickr

Your mouth is
not for talking and eating only. The Bible shows us that your mouth is what
charts your course in life. You need to know that your future is in your mouth.
Your prosperity, your health, your success, victory, progress and promotion in
life are in your mouth. That’s on the positive. In the same way, on the
negative, the sickness, failure, poverty, disease, lack, frustrations and fear
that people experience in their lives are the result of what they say with
their mouth.

Nothing happens
in your life except that which you’ve voiced with your own mouth. So, whether
or not you’re going to have a glorious, prosperous, victorious and successful
future is dependent on what you say. The Bible says, “Death and life are in the
power of the tongue.” Everything that’s going to happen to you in your future
is going to be based on what you say with your mouth today.

Never talk
sickness; talk health all the time. You may be asking. “What about when I feel
the symptoms of sickness?” Yes! Symptoms are lying vanities according to the
Bible; they’re not real; only God’s Word is real and true concerning your
health. So, when you declare health instead of sickness, that’s what you’ll
have. In the same way, don’t talk poverty, talk wealth! All the money you need
in this world is in your mouth! Everything you’ll ever require to live in the
great life of glory that God has ordained for you is right in your mouth.

Therefore use
your mouth right! Speak the right words; never talk yourself down. Speak words
of prosperity, health, and life. That’s the language of the king. Every day,
when you wake up, declare who you are. You’re a success, a victor, a more than
conqueror. Learn to speak the right word – God’s Word about yourself every day.
PRAYER

Father, I thank You for
teaching me to order my tongue to speak the right things only. I realize the
power of my words therefore I choose to speak only that which is consistent
with Your Word and Will concerning my life in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

You are the saviour of the masses.

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

IF YOU LIVED ON THE
WORLD’S TERMS, THE WORLD WOULD LOVE YOU AS ONE OF ITS OWN. BUT SINCE I PICKED
YOU TO LIVE ON GOD’S TERMS AND NO LONGER ON THE WORLD’S TERM, THE WORLD IS
GOING TO HATE YOU. (JOHN 15:19 MSG)

Most people
think of what their country can do for them and not what they can do for their
country. Such people are known as the masses. “I don’t understand why we have
bad roads in our country; there is no water and electricity” or “The Government
is not doing enough” they say. You’ll always hear them complain and grumble.

As a child
of God, it’s important you realize that you don’t belong to the masses. The Lord
Jesus testified concerning us that we are not of the masses. You were called out of the masses to save the masses. The moment you
start thinking or talking like the masses, it means you’ve already classed
yourself with them, and society will be more than willing to treat you as such.

When Jesus
brings His Word to you, He locates you among the masses and saves your soul. He
then gives you the Holy Ghost, which automatically separates you from the
masses, to become a saviour of
the masses. Become challenged by the pain and suffering of the other people. When
you see those in need, don’t say, “why doesn’t the government help them”;
rather, think of what you can do to help. Ask yourself, “What can I do?” for
you can do a lot. The Bible shows us that throughout Joseph’s ordeal and pain
which he suffered in the hands of his siblings and boss, he never stopped
helping. This attitude distinguished him from other people and brought him before
Pharaoh. Through his wisdom, the Egyptian empire was preserved during the
famine (Genesis 41:55). Be a helper today; God is counting on you.

You’re the
solution to the problems of the suffering masses of the world. If you would
only become help – conscious, supply to you will never be a problem, God will
channel His grace towards you and you’ll be able to help more and more people
in need. You must distinguish yourself by your way of thinking.

CONFESSION

I am not of the world. I am a citizen
of Zion, called to be a saviour and a solution to the cries of the masses all
over the world. I wake up to my responsibility today, and I declare that my
ability to help others increases everyday in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

You are the best of you.

Jesus, followed by Simon Peter and Andrew

Image via Wikipedia

Even every one that is
called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea,
I have made him (Isaiah 43:7).

The reason
many people still find themselves in unpleasant situations is that they have
not come to terms with their identity in Christ Jesus. You must realize that
you aren’t a part of the masses. Though you’re in the world, you’re not subject
to its rules and procedures.

From the day
you were born again, God gave you the ability to become the best of you that
you could be. In Matthew 4:19, Jesus met two fishermen (Peter and Andrew) and
said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”. What interests
me here is not what they would become (Fishers of men) but that Jesus was the
One making them, and not they trying to become.

Therefore,
the issue isn’t what you’re being made into, but that God is the One making
you. If He makes you, nobody can unmake you! He lives in you to make you become
that dream that you have in your heart. You don’t need money to become what He
wants you to be.

You don’t
have to wait for promotion to take you from one level to another. You are a
child of God and you deserve the best. It doesn’t matter where you begin; what
matters is where you are going. Wake up, rise, shake yourself out of the dust,
and be the person God has ordained you to be because you can!

PRAYER

Dear Lord, thank You for choosing me
out of the world for Your glory. Thank You for the divine ability to become
whatever I want to be. I take advantage of this power that’s at work in me and
I bring forth durable fruit, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

FOLLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT.

One of the things you must do throughout this year is to yield to the Holy Spirit and follow His guidance and counsel in all your dealings. No other personality in this life is worth following but the Holy Spirit. He’s the greatest friend and teacher you could ever know; He’s the One called alongside to go with you, and to be with you and in you! He’s the One who guides you into all truth and brings His Word to your remembrance.
Following the Holy Spirit means yielding yourself to Him through the Word of God. You cannot follow the Holy Spirit except you’re yielded to God’s Word; doing what He says. This will reflect the beauty of God in you and help you live a more excellent life. You’ll find yourself making the best decisions and the right choices always. You’ll do the right the first time, be at the right place at the right time, and live an inspiring life.
How important it is to be led by the Holy Spirit of God in all your affairs! No one but He can give you true counsel and guidance in life. So be sure to yield to Him with all your heart. Isaiah 30:21 says “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Also, He said through the Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye.” This is the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life, take advantage of it today and you’ll never lose your way.

CONFESSION
I yield myself to You precious Holy Spirit to be led, instructed and directed in all my dealings today, and throughout this year! And as I do this, my entire life is transformed form glory to glory, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name, Amen!

Have The Right Perception Of God.

Your perception or revelation of God will determine the way you relate with Him and the kind of life you’ll live. Many have their perception of God tainted by religion, rather than the truth the Scriptures reveal to us about Him. I once visited a certain church and noticed a board on which some kids had attempted to answer the question “Who is God?” The question had been posed by their Sunday school teacher, and one of the kids, in his answer, wrote, “God is a terminator: He can destroy anything and anyone He wants to”
How unfortunate! That young mind already had the wrong opinion of God, from the impression given him by the older generation. Through the years, men have misrepresented God, and this has affected their relationship with Him. In their ignorance, many have attributed unpleasant and tragic incidents to God: They believe God ordained both good and evil. Thus, when for example someone passes on, they’ll say “The Lord gives, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the Name of the Lord!” What a wrong perception of God!
Some even think God took time to select certain people for wealth and some for poverty; some for sickness and others for good health. They believe whatever happens in their lives, good or bad is the will of God. They’ve misunderstood the nature of God, and perceived Him wrongly.
God is good and only does good things: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Let this be your perception of Him. The Bible lets us know that He is Love. His ultimate display of love was to save you while you were still a sinner (Romans 5:8). It was His deliberate choice to save you and He did it because of His love nature. He chose to give you all of Himself and everything that belonged to Him because He loves you. He loves you. This is the perception of Him that you ought to have.

PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the revelation of your personality unveiled to me through your Word and by the Holy Spirit! I declare that I’m growing in the knowledge of who You are, and thus I’m fruitful and productive in all that I do through Your grace and peace that’s multiplied unto me. In Jesus Christ Name; Amen!

The Bible – God’s special gift to mankind.

I always love to thank God for giving us the Bible. What a treasure; what a special gift from God to us! Many have questioned the veracity and authenticity of this all – important book through the years. If they only knew how powerful the Bible is and how it has helped to mould individuals and nations, they would have a re-think.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It’s the only book in the world that has born the words of Jesus Christ through the ages. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35). So you can expect God’s Word as contained in the Bible to remain relevant today, and forever.
Paul, in his letter to Timothy, said “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…..” If you’re going to describe anything as Scripture, then it has to be God – inspired. The Bible is God – inspired. The testimonies from people all over the world, and through the ages give credence to this truth. Many miracles have been wrought and lives changed as a result of studying, meditating and using it. What a wonderful treasure!
The Bible is God’s special gift to us – to build us up and make us His Word. So if there’s anything in life you must possess, let it be copy of the Holy Bible. And not only should you own one, study it regularly and meditate on the Word of God contained therein.

PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving us Your Word in the written pages of the Bible. I am so grateful Lord, for this wonderful treasure. As I study and meditate on it wholeheartedly today, I’m blessed by Your living Word, and my profiting is evident for all to see, in Jesus Christ Name. Amen!
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Give no place to sickness, disease or infirmity in your body! it’s the temple of the Holy Spirit

As a child of God and a believer in Christ, your body is the temple of The Holy Spirit. But you’re the custodians or caretaker of your body. Thus, you have the right to determine what happens to, and in, your physical body.

As the watchman over your body, it’s your responsibility to give no place to sickness in your body, for you stand to give account to God for whatever you allow or disallow in your physical body. You’re to permit in your body only those things that are consistent with the Word of God for your life. That means you’re to give no place to sickness, disease or infirmity in your body!

Sickness cannot stay in your body if you don’t allow it. Your body can only get sick when you endorse sickness, for until you endorse it, it’s nothing but a mirage. No wonder the Bible says they that dwell in Zion shall not say “I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24). So as one who’s born again refuse to be sick. Take charge and rule over your body with the Word of God; refuse to yield your body to sickness.

When you sense the symptons of sickness in your body, refuse to consider them for they’re nothing but lying vanities. They only become real when you say they are, because what you say is what you get. This is what the Word of God teaches in Mark 11:23, “…he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Therefore, never say “I have headaches,” or “I have the flu,” or “I’ve got migraines,” or I have “diabetes”; never endorse sickness.

What? Know ye not your body is the temple of The Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19)

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, how gracious and loving you are to me. Thank you for making my body the temple of Your Holy Spirit. I’m continually strengthened with might in my inner man as the anointing of Your Spirit runs through every fibre of my being, making me sickness and disease-free, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

God owns our lives, they aren’t ours

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

Instances abound all over the world of people who, out of frustration, took their own live. Their reasons vary from being fed up with life and frustrated with society to outright self-defeat. It’s true that no one takes his own life joyfully, but a closer look would reveal that no matter the justifications, such acts are not only the products of selfishness and self-centredness but also of ignorance of God‘s Word.

As Christians we need to realize that we don’t own our lives, the Bible says we’ve been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20); we belong to Christ. None of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself. So, If you don’t live to yourself, there’ll be no reason to give up on life; there’ll be no reason to be so self-centred as to contemplate suicide.

When the realization that God owns your life dawns on you, you’ll become more concerned with what His purpose is for your life, and the desire to fulfill that purpose would be the staying force of your life. Take a cue from the Apostle Paul, even at a time he was convinced he had fulfilled God’s purpose for his he said, “For what is life? To me, it is Christ. Death, then, will bring more. But if by continuing to live I can do more worthwhile work, then I am not sure which I should choose. I am pulled in two directions. I want very much to leave this life and be with Christ, which is a far better thing; but for your sake it is much more important that I remain alive. I am sure of this, and so I know that I will stay. I will stay on with you all, to add to your progress and joy in the faith” (Philippians 1:21-25). How inspiring! He chose to live to be of benefit to others.

Even if you think you’ve fulfilled God’s purpose for your life, still choose the honourable way of being a blessing to others. To undertake suicide means that one has chosen to live to himself or herself; he or she has decided how long to live and when and how to die. This certainly isn’t the way for a Christian; a Christian should, on no account, contemplate taking his own life, for your life is not yours

For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto The LORD; and whether we die, we die unto The LORD: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the LORD‘s (Romans 14:7-8)

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you fo making your Word available to me today; Your Word indeed is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, guiding me in the path of life, to live for your glory, in JESUS CHRIST Name. Amen!!!

Share God’s around

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5)

The Bible tells us in 1 John 4:8 that “God is love“; His very nature is love, and you have His love-nature in you as one who’s born again. That means all of God‘s love is in your spirit, so you can’t have more of God’s love than you already have today. According to our opening scripture; “….the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). The question then is what are you going to do with all of this love that’s in your heart?

John 3:16 gives us an example of what to do with the love of God, it says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son….” God so loved us and reached out to us even at a time when we didn’t know Him or care about Him! He sent Jesus to win us and reconcile us to Himself, not counting our sins against us. He did this for us in Christ Jesus.

And now the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:19 that God has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation. We have the responsibility of reconciling others to Him. We’re to reach out to our world; to the hurting and the loveless that have no hope and give them the love of God that’s in our hearts.

But to do this you need to be filled with the spirit; you actually can’t share God’s love except you’re filled with the spirit. So if you haven’t received the Holy Spirit, you can do so even now. Say this in faith: “Heavenly Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I receive the Holy Spirit into my heart to live in me, to help me share your love to others, Amen!”. The Holy Spirit is the One that energizes you to do the work of God and share His love with others.

PRAYERS

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love that’s in my heart; it’s the same great love wherewith You’ve loved me! I make a difference in my world today as I touch everyone I meet with Your love. The world will see and acknowledge your love in my life to the glory and praise of Your Holy Name, in Christ Jesus’s Name. Amen!
