Overflowing Grace

Psalms_84-11: For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly

Text: Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

INTRODUCTION

Hebrews_12-28: Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

The grace of God is without measure in the life of true believers. Whatever you have and being able to do is all by God’s grace. May we never waste this grace in Jesus name.

Ephesians_2-8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

What The Grace Of God Does

2-Timothy_2-1-1: Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus

1. The life we live is by His Grace. –Ephesians 2:8-9.
2. Our acquisition in life is by God’s grace. –Romans 11:6.
3. Our future aspirations are by the grace of God. –Romans 11:6.
4. To make it to Heaven is absolutely by God’s grace. –Romans 11:6.
5. Our salvation is by Gods grace. –Ephesians 2:8-9.

Hebrews_4-16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. .God’s Throne Of Grace

Conclusion

The grace of God is the favour of God shown to us, which we do not merit. Everyone that has breath of life is living on this great grace.

2-Corinthians_12-9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me

ARE YOU MORE CONSCIOUS OF THE DEVIL THAN OF GOD?

1-Peter_5-8: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith…
1 Peter 5:8–9

When I was a teenager, I was taught that if I wanted to resist the devil, I had to rebuke him. So whenever an evil thought came to my mind or I was tempted, I found myself saying, “I resist you, devil, in Jesus’ name! I bind you, devil! Go away from me, devil! I rebuke you in Jesus’ name!”

James_4-7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you

This went on until God showed me one day that though I had “resisted” the devil, I had spent more time talking to him than to God! I was more conscious of the devil than of God throughout the day.

Proverbs_30-5: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him

I checked the Word of God and realized that we resist the devil not by focusing on resisting him, but by being established in the faith that we are made right with God through Jesus’ blood, that we are the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

2-Corinthians_5-21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him

Yes, the devil will continue to remind you of your mistakes, failures and sins. And he will tell you that because of these things, you cannot receive your healing, that you will have to pay for your mistakes or that something bad will happen to your family. He will accuse you, condemn you and try to persuade your heart to believe that he can do bad things to you.

Romans_8-1:There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

But the truth is that the devil cannot enforce anything in your life if he cannot persuade your heart. And your heart cannot be persuaded if it is “Steadfast In The Faith”, if it is established in righteousness. God says that once you are established in righteousness, “You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you”. (Isaiah 54:14)

Romans_1-17: For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith

So now that my heart is established in righteousness, I can boldly declare, “Yes, I may have these problems in my life, but I am not guilty in God’s eyes. I am justified in God’s eyes by faith because of what Christ has done. I am righteous by Jesus’ blood!”

Ephesians_2-8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

My Love! That is how you resist the devil and become undevourable!

John_3-17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved

TRACE YOUR WAY BACK TO GOD

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts_2-38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

INTRODUCTION

The Lord said to the Church in the book of Revelation 2:3-5 that they have left their first love despite all their activities in the Church. Where did you leave your first love for Christ? You need to retrace your way back to Him today.

Psalms_51-2: Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

HOW CAN ONE KNOW HE OR SHE HAS GONE FAR FROM GOD?

Psalms_51-10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me

1. When you are prayerless or do not pray as before.
Luke 18:1:
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2. When you do not enjoy reading and studying the word of God as before.
Hosea 4:6:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

3. When you do not evangelise as before.
Mark 16:15:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

4. When you find it easy to quit church meetings.
Hebrews 10:25:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

5. When you cannot deny yourself of food and water (i.e.fasting).
Matthew 17:21:
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
6. When you enjoy toying with sin.
James 1:15:
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Psalms_51-11: Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

CONCLUSION

Psalms_51-12: Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

The above points are danger signals to you that you need to trace your way back to God. Repent and go back to your first love.

God does not need you to defeat the devil. Jesus has already done it and given you the victory

1-John_5-4-3: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith

Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians_6-13: Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand

God does not need you to defeat the devil today. Jesus has already done it and given you the victory. (Colossians 2:15, Romans 8:37) Your part is to enforce the victory by simply standing your ground, which is victory ground. In other words, you “fight” from victory ground by standing. You don’t fight for victory.

Ephesians_6-11: Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil

In Ephesians 6:10–18, the passage on spiritual warfare, the word “wrestle” appears only once (verse 12), while the word “stand” appears four times—“stand against the wiles of the devil”, “withstand in the evil day”, “having done all, to stand”, “Stand therefore”. (Verses 11, 13–14) Four times the Holy Spirit tells us to stand. Yet, many Christian are focusing on wrestling their way to victory!

2-Timothy_2-19: Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity

My friend, you are already on victory ground. You already have everything in Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:21, 23) You are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3). The devil knows this. And that is why his tactic is to deceive you and make you think that you don’t have the victory.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

So when he attacks you by saying, “Look at that small sum in your bank account! How are you going to pay the bills?” stand your ground. Declare, “I am not trying to be rich. I am already blessed in Christ!” It doesn’t matter how much you have in the bank. You are richly supplied because you are in Christ. And as the need arises, the supply will be there if you believe it.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

It is the same with healing. The devil will try to attack you with symptoms in your body. He will try to put pain in your body, and make you feel weak here and there, so that you think that you are still sick. He is trying to make you believe that you don’t have your healing. That is the time to be conscious of Jesus’ finished work and declare, “I am not trying to get healed, I am healed! I am standing on the victory ground which Jesus has given me!”

Beloved, it makes a world of difference when you fight from victory and not for victory!

When a king beckons to you, it means you have caught his attention. In Esther 5:1-3, when King Ahasuerus saw Esther standing in the inner courts of the palace, he immediately raised his sceptre towards her. By so doing, he was inviting her to come nearer. When God beckons to you, you can be assured that things are definitely taking a new turn from that moment. This was the experience of Moses. For 40 years, Moses was at the back side of the desert looking after his father-in-law’s sheep; but one day, this well-read and once very promising heir to the throne of Egypt (now turned shepherd boy) encountered the burning bush which was not consumed. He heard God beckon to Him saying “Moses, Moses”. From that very moment, his story was never the same.

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

God beckons to you when the day of your favour dawns. There is a user of this devotional: you have invested so much time and money in acquiring several degrees but you have not been able to use them. It appears God has forgotten you for some years, and you have been wondering when the opportunity will ever come for your certificates to work for you. Rejoice! Your time of favour has just dawned. God has just remembered you and is presently beckoning to you. Within the next three months, your life will go through a transformation, to the extent that it will be difficult for you to believe this is happening to you. When the Lord does this for you, do not forget to appreciate Him and testify of it.

In 1969, while doing my postgraduate programme in Mathematics, a friend of mine was doing his research on the coastlines of Lagos, and so he needed to visit all the coastlines and take samples from them. He decided to go to Ebute Metta, Lagos, for some samples. Because we were friends and I was available, I accompanied him. At Ebute Metta, we saw a very large signboard which read “The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)”. Looking to see what the big signboard was referring to, we only saw a very little church. I turned to my friend and said “The big name killed a small dog!” We laughed and left. Four years later, somebody invited me to the same RCCG for the first time, saying “There is a small church at Ebute Metta where God is performing miracles.” I told him I had seen that church before – the small church with the big signboard”. Imagine what God is doing today after beckoning to me. May you heed God’s beckoning in Jesus’ Name.

Lamentations_3-22: It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Action Point

What you look down on today may be your saving grace tomorrow. Ask for divine guidance in all you do.

Message

Our God is awesome, and His ways are beyond finding out. Nobody can box God into a pattern or regimen. He can use anything He chooses to achieve His purpose on earth. God uses those who are lowly placed, and He also uses the rich. Luke 8:1-3 tells of some wealthy women who ministered to Jesus from their resources. Mary Magdalene and other women blessed by the Lord resolved to serve Him with the resources they had. Are you rich or wealthy? Do you serve the Lord with your substance? Experience has shown that those who have little are the ones who dare to give their all to God.

Hebrews_12-28: Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

This was the case with the widow who dropped her mites (Mark 12:41-44). Usually, the rich only give a fraction of what they have because they believe they are giving something big. However, God does not judge by size, He judges by proportion. Hence, the poor can give more than the rich in the sight of God, even if what they give is not as much as what the rich have given in quantity. Justifying why the widow’s gift was more than what the rich gave, Jesus in Mark 12:44 said:
“For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.”

Psalms_100-4: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Moreover, not only can God use humans to accomplish His purpose, He can also use animals. In 1 Kings 17:2-6, God sent ravens to deliver food to His servant, and they obeyed. We have equally seen Him use birds too. When we began to build the Redemption Camp in those early years, there were some trees that provided shade which I instructed the workers to preserve. Some little birds came in their hundreds of thousands to perch on these trees. Whenever they descended on them, there would be no leaves left on the trees the following day. They were also very noisy. I wondered if they were demonic birds. Some of my children who had guns would enter their midst and fire some shots; yet, they refused to go away. Some birds were hit by the fired bullets and dropped dead, but the rest stayed on. At some point, it appeared the more they were killed, the more they multiplied! The situation became unbearable.

Psalms_28-7: The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

I therefore called on God to help us one morning. That evening, several eagles came and began to eat them up. Within hours, there was not a single one of them left. God has not stopped using birds! If He needs to send birds to meet your needs, He will do so; but you need to show Him that you can serve Him with all He has given to you. How faithfully have you served God? To what extent can you risk your life and all He has given to you for His service?

Key Point

God can mobilise all of His resources to satisfy the needs of those who can give Him their all.

Exodus_33-14-2: And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Message

The assurance that God is on the side of the righteous and not against them, gives peace to their life. It is commonly said that “One with God is majority.” Even if the whole world is against you, as long as you know that God is on your side, you will not be afraid. As a child of God, because God has justified and cleansed you, there is now peace between you and Him (Romans 5:1). The rift of separation is gone! Condemnation is also gone! Praise God! As long as God stands by you, nobody can withstand you (Romans 8:31). If God is for you, it means that He loves you, and if He loves you, then you are more than a conqueror. If God is for you, He will personally take over the battles of your life. As you simply praise and worship Him, He will arise and engage your enemies in battle. You can be certain He will bring the victory back to you. While facing the Red Sea with no visible way to cross it, the children of Israel suddenly had the Egyptian army rushing furiously towards them. Faced with this impossible situation, Moses said this to them in Exodus 14:14:
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

Jeremiah_29-11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end

When you have the Commander-in-Chief of the heavenly hosts fighting for you, oh what peace and joy will flood your heart in the midst of the storms of life! As long as Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is in your boat, that boat will never sink. A song writer wrote, “… No water can swallow the ship where lies, the Master of ocean and earth and skies”. This is so true. You can go to sleep in the midst of an earthquake when God is with you. That was why Peter could sleep so deep after his arrest. Acts 12:6-7 tells of how he slept, bound between two soldiers:
“And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.”
He knew that even though he was in prison, He was safely in God’s hands. He also knew that God can do the impossible whenever He decides to. Are you anxious over how you will come out of that impossible situation? Fear not! What did Peter do to come out? Nothing! He slept while others prayed, yet he came out. You are coming out today in Jesus’ Name. Because God is with you, you will never fall.

Key Point

The peace that God gives cannot be eroded by the storms of life.

2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Message

Matthew_4-19:And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men

When the time comes for God to fulfil a plan He has predestined to happen, He looks out for those He can use for this purpose. God does not discriminate in His choice of persons to use to accomplish His mission. He can use the great or the small. When the time came for Him to choose those who would serve and learn under His Son, He chose some raw fishermen. Our God is awesome, and His ways are past finding out! In today’s Bible reading, when Jesus found Peter, He told him that from that day, he would no longer catch fishes from the sea, but human souls from the world.

Mark_16-15: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature

If God can use a raw uneducated fisherman like Peter, He can use you more. You are very useful to God. However, do you make yourself available for His use? Ironically, as the number of ministers is increasing, the number of those who are available for God’s use is decreasing. As a result of this, many people bear the title of minister, but they are not available to perform their assignments. Have we forgotten the acronym F.A.T., which stands for Faithfulness, Availability and Teachability? If God will use you, these three must be the code you live by. Today, because the people we consider more suitable for kingdom assignments are either too busy or giving too many excuses, God is moving to those who have made themselves available to do His work, even when those people appear less suitable for the work. Are you available to serve God? If you can create time to do your secular work that you will have to leave someday, why can’t you create time to serve your Maker who can reward you for your service in eternity?

There are some people who feel God cannot use them, because they have not yet bagged a degree, amassed some wealth or become famous. Oh, how mistaken they are! Do you know that God can use you just as you are? He can use you even in your limited state, if you will only turn your life over to Jesus. Do not wait to get your miracle first before telling others about the love of God. In any way you can share the gospel with the unsaved, go on and do so. Lead others to Christ. Use your influence to motivate people to do the right thing. Be a positive, holy influence on your peers. Remember, if you bear fruit for God’s kingdom, it will be His responsibility to do what He can to make you more fruitful.

Action Point

You are very important to God. If you fail to play your role in the Body of Christ, it could bring losses to God’s kingdom. Determine to play your role today.

Let me tell you child of God, whatever the Lord has packaged for you, no one will take away from you

1-John_4-4: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Roman 8:31

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

David was the man God called after Saul disappointed Him. The Bible said of David I have found me a man after my own heart. In other words God found the man that will do what He wants. And then He sent Prophet Samuel to the house of Jesse to anoint David as king. When he got there all the sons of Jesse came; Eliab, Abinadab, Shamak and the rest came but David was not there. It happened that God was organizing something for David but he was not invited. Let me tell you child of God, whatever the Lord has packaged for you, no one will take away from you. They can manipulate and do all human arrangements but as long as it is not God’s arrangement they will never take it away from you. God’s word concerning you will come to pass and if no one will speak for you God Himself will speak for you. At times we may not have a voice but I am glad that the God that we serve has the loudest voice. He knows how to speak for people who cannot speak for themselves.

Jeremiah_29-11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end

They had to look for David. So they will look for you because nothing will proceed without you because you have a vital role to play. They looked for David and he was anointed king in the midst of his brethren. This was a man that was forgotten but suddenly, in an instant, he became king.

Beloved, you must allow God to be God. In addition to the foregoing, someone was at the palace speaking on behalf of David. Saul became mentally deranged and someone said to the king I know a man who knows how to play music and your condition will be minimized. David did not solicit for the publicity. In the same vein God will make it happen for you.

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

David suddenly moved from the backside of the desert where he was playing music for animals to the palace. I declare that you are moving to the palace. Right now it looks as if you are a nobody, you come into church and go out, and nobody recognizes you. Just keep coming. All I can promise you is that the word of God will do wonders in your life. What he did for others He will do in your life. Favour will attend to you anywhere you go. You will attract favour nationally and internationally. What has been difficult for you to sell, this month you will sell it. Beginning from now your testimony starts. The treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, the treasures in the sand, in the air, in the trees, in the hills and valleys and mountains, treasures that are yet hidden that no one has found, I release them to you now. This year you will overtake your overtakers, Amen!

God looks at our hearts and He checks our motives

Psalms_51-10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me

What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?

Luke 9:25

Mark_8-36: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Did you know that you can do very spiritual things that are still rooted in self ?

You can sing in the choir, lifting up songs to God, but your motive could be to be seen by men. You can become a leader or go into ministry because you want to feel important. That is why God looks at the heart and He checks our motives (1 Samuel 16:7).

Wrong motives will not please God. We can fool men who look at the outward demonstrations…but God knows the truth and He will not be pleased.

Check your motives. Ask yourself if you need to be in charge. Do you need to have your opinion followed? Then ask yourself if it is about God. Will God be pleased?

The only way to be in the will of God and to have the mind of God is to go the way of the cross. Our motives should be to please God-not ourselves-to give Him pleasure.

We were created for His pleasure, according to Revelation 4:11. God is pleased with us when our motives are selfless instead of selfish.

God works for the good of those who love him

Romans_8-28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28, NIV

Romans 8:28 says, “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” In other words, when you are in the purpose, or will, of God, everything that comes into your life can work for your good. You may immediately question how the loss of your job can be for your good, or how your illness can be for your good. If, by “good,” Romans 8:28 meant your comfort, convenience, health, wealth, prosperity, pleasure, or happiness, we would all question it! But your ultimate good is conformity to the image of Jesus Christ. And when you are in God’s will – “called according to his purpose” – everything God allows into your life is used by Him to make you like Christ. Everything!

Are you waiting on God for something?

Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.

Isaiah 40:31, NKJV

Joshua had to wait seven days as he obediently marched around Jericho before God rewarded his patience and brought the walls down.

Psalms_62-1: Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation

Israel waited for the Messiah to come. Mary waited nine months for Jesus’ birth. Jesus waited for the woman of Samaria to come to the well, Mary and Martha waited for Jesus to come to Bethany, and Jesus Himself waited three days in the tomb for the resurrection. A person who lives in submissive obedience to Christ is a person who is often called to wait.

Psalms_27-14: Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD

Are you waiting on God for something? What plans have you made in the meantime? Who else have you involved in those plans? Is there someone else, a mother-in-law or pastor or best friend, who is leading you to join him or her in decisive action? Instead of blindly saying, “I’ll go with you,” take a moment to pray and ask God for His direction. Then wait until He answers you.

The time of prayer isn’t just a time to ask God for things; it’s a time to commune or fellowship with Him

Luke_18-27: And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Luke 18:1

Communication is probably one of the most important activities in life. There are different kinds of communication. We shall however, discuss the communication between man and GOD, which is established through prayer. In Luke 18, the LORD Jesus taught on the importance of prayer. Man is a spirit and his needs are essentially spiritual. This is why he always craves for that spiritual contact with God, who is described in Hebrews 12:9 as “The Father of spirit.”

Matthew_26-41-1: Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak

What a blessing to know that you can communicate directly with your heavenly Father; that you can have His hundred percent attention through prayer: “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil” (1 Peter 3:12). This is one reason you ought to always be excited to pray. Some people only pray when they need something. That’s wrong! The time of prayer isn’t just a time to ask God for things; it’s a time to commune or fellowship with Him. That’s the time to hear what He has to say and receive direction for each day’s activities and challenges.

1-Thessalonians_5-17: Pray without ceasing

The Bible says concerning Jesus that, “ …in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed ” (Mark 1:35). Jesus took prayer seriously while He was on earth, because He understood the importance of communing with the Father. On another occasion, it was recorded that He prayed all night (Luke 6:1). Though He was (and is) the Son of God, He didn’t take prayer for granted. He understood prayer as an effective communication with the Father.

2-Chronicles_7-14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land

The moment you understand and embrace this truth, your life will become richer and you’ll be more productive in all your endeavours. You need that continual fellowship with God to function effectively, otherwise, everything you do will be meaningless, and will have no spiritual impact. Do you see why you should take your prayer life more seriously? Learn to rise up early to commune with the LORD, and do this as often as you should.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the privilege of prayer. I’m blessed and humbled to know that Your watchful and loving eyes are over me, and Your ears are open to hear and answer my prayers. Therefore, I thank You, for my day is blessed, and I receive from You the wisdom and grace to deal excellently in all my affairs today, in the Name of Jesus! Amen!

God Qualifies the Unqualified, He Has Not Rejected You. God Does Not Reject Anyone

“And Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab; and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse“.

Matthew 1:5 (KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Rahab was a prostitute. She took a good look at her life and must have imagined how she would end up. She saw an opportunity when the servant of God who came to spy the land lodged at her house. She took a decision to end prostitution. She looked at herself and realized that of all the people in her city, God had chosen to visit her. She made a decision to end prostitution that day and start a new life. She made the choice to hide the spies and side with the Lord. If you check the Scriptures, Rahab is documented in the lineage of Jesus Christ. That’s God. That’s an uncommon grace. God qualifies the unqualified! So you see you are the only one who can rule yourself out. God has not rejected you. He does not reject anyone.

1-John_4-18: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love

Don’t ever write off anyone, no matter how bad their situation is. Don’t write people off no matter how far gone or hopeless their case is. As long as a man is still sitting under the teaching of the word of God, don’t underestimate him. It was Job who said a tree can be cut down but as long as that tree perceives the scent of water it will sprout again and bring forth (Job14:7-9). Water here is a type of the Word of God.

Ruth was another example. Ruth and Orpah were married to the sons of Elimelech. They both lost their husbands during difficult times. Orpah turned back and we never heard about her again. There is no book documented in her name. They both got married to the same family and were introduced to the same God. They both had colourful destinies but when they came to a cross road in their lives, Orpah said what the world normally says; a bird in hand is better than thousands in the bush. That’s not what the bible says, it is a fable.

The believer walks by faith and not by sight. Orpah kissed her mother-in-law and went back but Ruth said the future may not look colourful, it may look ordinary, and it may appear as if nothing can happen but I’d rather stay connected to God almighty and I will not let go of his love for me. She went with Naomi. Ruth went with God and today a whole book of the bible is dedicated to Ruth. In the scripture, a Moabitess, Ruth, was found in the lineage of Christ. That is an uncommon grace.

Make a decision to go all the way with the Lord today and I assure you that you will also experience uncommon grace. I bless you today in the name of the Lord.

Keep Moving

“Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain . . .”

Zechariah 4:7 (KJV)

Whenever you come to the crossroads of life, get ready because God is ready to show you a dimension of himself that you have never seen. There will always be crossroads. You cannot pray, fast or confess it out of existence. Every one of us will surely come to crossroads several times in our lives. A crossroad is a place where you make critical decisions. Crossroads are part of your pathway to greatness.

1-Corinthians_2-9: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him

Moses had the assignment of a deliverer, he was to lead God’s people out of Egypt and slavery after 430 years. They came to the red sea. The scripture tells us that before them was the sea, on their left and right were obstacles; behind them they saw the Egyptians with their choicest military personnel in hot pursuit. Remember they were in the will of God but that was a crossroad. What do you do when you are in God’s will and things are still difficult; and you don’t know what stand to take? Do you know what God said to Moses; tell them to go forward. You have come to a crossroad but go forward.

In Christianity there is nothing like retreat, you don’t go back. That was why when they crossed the sea, the Lord told Moses to lift up his hands and the sea covered. In other words you can’t go back no matter the crossroad you encounter in life or in your pathway of serving God. Go forward, don’t retreat. Don’t run away from battle. Go forward and you will see the salvation of God. Whenever you go forward you see God in another dimension. You see him do the unusual.

Child of God, I challenge you now to go forward. Keep moving. The mountain will fall before you. Just go forward. I can assure you that when you are faced with a mountain and you are determined to go on irrespective of obstacles, supernaturally, the mountain will either give way or you climb over the mountain or you go under it or you bore a hole through it. One thing is sure; you are getting to the other side. Beloved rejoice because I already see you on the other side.

When God Allowed Certain Things In Your Life, It Does Not Mean He Is Weak

What was the end of Pharaoh? He drowned with all his best military hardware and personnel. They drowned in the red sea that God’s people walked through. The enemy that they saw the same day, they saw them no more. You can’t pursue God’s people when you know God will arise to help them. How dare you think you can overwhelm a child of God? When God allowed certain things in your life, it does not mean He is weak. He is simply saying “my child, you can handle it“. When all is said and done, the last testimony belongs to you and all the Glory goes to God Almighty!

Romans_8-38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

All those against you shall fall for your sake, your mouth will testify. Where others faint, you will stand strong. Your business will blossom. Your children will excel. Your ministry will explode and your testimony will be noised abroad in Jesus name. Your God will show up in your difficulty and show you a way out. You will not be confused. You have overcome. Rejoice because God has remembered you and your life will not be the same again.

Romans_8-1:There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

There is no margin for failure for a child of God, so be thankful because in Christ we are always victorious. You must always remember that you have no failure material in you. You win always. You may not look like it but don’t ever set your face towards failure. It is an insult to the finished work of redemption. Don’t ever accept failure. If you accept failure then Christ has failed because you are in Christ.

Joshua_1-8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success

Christ has done it all. And God sees you in Christ because the price is fully paid. When you therefore say that you are a failure because of a temporal situation, the enemy will be wondering if you know who you are and what Christ has done. In the book of Exodus chapter 14, the enemy drowned because they pursued the people of God. Whatever door that has been shut before you, I command it to be supernaturally opened. The scripture recorded in Joshua 6:1 that Jericho was shut because of the children of Israel, none went in and none could go out. They did not want them to possess what God had given them. It was shut to prevent God’s people from entering but God showed up and proved Himself God. I see God proving Himself in that situation. Every door of hindrance is broken today. Supernaturally, open door is your portion. I bless you today.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

In Joshua 6:20 the lofty walls of Jericho crashed down before the children of Israel when the people shouted and blew the trumpet as God had instructed them. The walls fell down flat and the people went in to the city, and they took the city. Their period of waiting was over in few days as they obeyed the commandment of the Lord. The Lord will grant you speed this season. There will be acceleration in the fulfilment of your desire. God Himself will handle it. Just let Him be God.

Take a look at Joseph, what was his qualification? In the natural, Joseph was a slave. Slaves don’t own anything as a matter of fact. He was bought as a commodity. But do you know his asset? God was with him. Beloved, God is with you. You are not alone. As I open the newspaper and follow the news, I see human wickedness on the increase and the only hope we have is that God is with His children. He will be your God. He will do supernatural things for His children. Things they took from you, they will beg you to take it back.

Child of God, if God can open up Jericho, He will open up every country land, city, community unto you. Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut (Isaiah 45:1). His plan and purpose for your life will be achieved, you will not be denied. Every door against your promotion is opened today. Every obstacle on the way is broken. Every challenge is rolled away. Your best and brightest days are here. Get ready to celebrate. Men and women of great reputation will be drawn to you. Your lifting has started.

If God spared not His son Jesus Christ, why will He keep back what He has prepared for you?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

Romans 8:32

If God spared not His son, why will he keep back what He has prepared for you? So the question today is “Are you preparing for good or evil? When you prepare for good, you will attract good. Be a good magnet. When you wake up in the morning, confess good and expect good. The bible says in Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” Good will knock at your door. Only goodness is permitted to follow you. No witch can hold you down. Before the witch arrives, God would have already completed everything about you. No witch can take God unawares. God always goes ahead of the enemy. Isaiah 45:2 says “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:” You didn’t start it. God started it and He will not abandon you half way. God knows the enemy will show up but He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.

God does not abandon His project. There is no room for surprise from the pit of hell. He completed you before He started. When you see people stand tall in spiritual things, it is because of what they know. Daniel 11:32 tells us that the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploit. So stand! Dig into the word of God and know Him, then stand tall in Him.

Whatever your situation, understand that you are not alone and you cannot be abandoned. God is by you, with you and for you. God began it; it was not your idea. If He began it, He will finish it. So go to bed and trust God who began this work to perfect it because He is God and God alone. Don’t bother about the witches, you are in Christ. Before they can get to you, they have to go through God and Christ. Fear not, because you are in Christ. If you don’t stand your ground, they will make a mess of your faith.

So much occultism is parading our nation today, so believers must stand their ground for God and He will show you up as His child. Child of God, your tomorrow is bright and your destiny is colourful. Enjoy the goodness of the day. I bless you today.

Hebrews_4-16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. .God’s Throne Of Grace

Looking back is a mark of defeat. When you look up God himself will show you His salvation. When you look ahead of you, you will move towards your goal and you will realise your destiny. God told Abraham, Look up from where you are. Do not bother about the situation you are in. Look northward, southward, eastward, westward. As far as your eyes can see will I give to you. There is so much in the land that you are looking at. Lot may have taken what looks better but let me tell you there is so much underground.

Psalms_28-7: The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Do you know that the same land that Abraham took is the present Saudi Arabia today with all the wealth therein? As at that time there was no visible oil wells there. But God who gave it saw beyond the sand he knew there were wells there. You are loaded. Go forward! Stop looking behind. There is nothing behind. Move ahead. Move on. They shut the door against you, go forward. Someone disappointed you, go forward. I have not seen a person who is involved in a race looking back and running at the same time who will get there first. Keep running, that’s what God said.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Psalms 1:1-3). You see when you became a child of God you were automatically born into royalty there are things that are automatically yours by virtue of the seed you carry. They are yours.

God is going to surprise the world. The last time I read my bible it says unto principalities and powers will be made known by the church the manifold wisdom of God (Ephesians 3:10). God is going to demonstrate his wisdom through the church. That is why the world is getting darker. That is why they are running ahead and we seem to be behind. Get ready. Time is going to be compressed and you will overtake them. A little that you will do would produce plenty, just a little effort. You will break-forth to the left, break-forth to the right; break-forth to the front and expand in every area.

All Things Work Together For Good To Those Who Love God, To Those Who Are Called According To His Purpose

Romans_8-28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

One of the most encouraging verses in the entire Bible is found in Paul’s letter to the Christians living in extreme persecution in the city of ancient Rome. Paul says it like this:

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

This passage brought me great hope for the first time when I was just a teenager and was experiencing some extremely difficult hardships at the time. And now that I am older, I can say this passage means even more to me now than it did as a teenager. At this stage of my life, it is much more than hope. It is experience.

I’d like to share with you ten amazing ways I’ve found that God works things together for good in our lives, even when we wouldn’t have expected it.

God Provides

One of the most amazing things I have discovered over the years is that God truly provides even in the midst of extraordinarily difficult circumstances. And He generally does so in ways that I never would have expected. Many times He has taken me through a path of loss only to bring me into pasture of abundance. God gives, and He takes away. But I have always found that He ends up giving me more than He has taken. And most of the time, He would not have been able to bless me if He had not first taken away those things I thought I needed at the time.

God Changes Hearts

God actually has the super-amazing ability to change hearts. At times he has changed my heart to conform with His perfect plan. At other times I have seen him change the hearts of others in order to accomplish His will in my life. “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord. Like the rivers of water, He turns it wherever He wishes” (Proverbs 21:1, NKJV).

God Protects

Even as God protected the Children of Israel in the midst of the plagues in Egypt, I have seen God protect my family and other Christians who have been in the midst of extreme hardship. There have been times in my life in which I have felt like I was experiencing a set back. But after allowing time to sort things out, I was able to see that God was actually taking me out of the way of a greater harm that could have befallen me. He was truly protecting me.

God Empowers

Another profound thing I’ve seen over the years is that God has the ability to empower me through challenging events in a way that I never could have experienced otherwise. God will never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6), and He tends to give us the greatest amount of his divine power when life is in those darkest hours.

God Befuddles the Enemy

When you feel that someone is tormenting you, and they just seem to be “getting away with it,” you can dismiss that notion from your mind. Even when you cannot see what God is doing, you can rest assured that He is at work—even in the hearts and minds of your enemies. Justice reigns, and He has the ability to confound the works of the wicked.

God Strengthens

A famous theologian once made the statement, “Whatever doesn’t kill us will make us stronger.” OK, that was not actually theologian. It was Arnold Schwarzenegger! But God clearly uses adversity to make us stronger. The key is to run TO God and not AWAY from Him in times of trial.

God has used trials to strengthen me over the past years to the point that I can now withstand hardships that would have crushed me when I was a young man. I am thankful for His spiritual strength which He has imparted to me through those trials.

God Builds Your Character

Nothing purifies our character and motives quite like the fiery furnace of trials and tribulations. And it is important for you to know that we all NEED that type of refining. God uses pain to turn us into clean, pure vessels for His use.

God Heals

Just as God allowed Lazarus to die so that He could demonstrate His power over death by raising him back to life (John 11), at times God allows us physical maladies so that He can heal us for His glory. He is the Great Physician and has the ability to heal when that is what is best in your particular situation. And I have seen His healing in ways that have convinced me that He is truly in control.

God Develops Your Wisdom

I don’t have an exact measuring tool here, but I would estimate that 90% of the wisdom I have gained over the years have come during hardship—and not when times were easy. When we are dialed in to God, He can use pain and difficult times to help us to learn about life in ways that we never could have experienced in times of bliss.

God Gives Purpose and Direction

God often gives us direction and purpose by pointing us on a certain path in the midst of hardship. I know many counselors who were called to counseling after they had experienced seasons of deep pain. I know of youth/children’s ministry workers who were called to ministry after they went through difficult times in their own youth. God can pull you through the storm and into a bright new day of ministry like you’ve never experienced thus far in your life.

God is good, and He can work all of the events of your life into a great masterpiece—if you let Him.
