PRAYER GUIDE FOR 2024 CONGRESS
Exodus 40:34-38
Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the Tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
Preamble
We have been having Holy Ghost Congresses, but the theme for this year’s edition is unique. “Onward Christian Soldier” as given to our Father in the Lord. Pastor E.A. Adeboye. There is no doubt that God is about to do unique things in our lives, in our families, in His church and our nation. From the above passage, the uniqueness of the Lord’s doing in the lives of His army has to do with His glory and His abiding presence, as we can see by the symbol of fire and the cloud in the onward journey of Israelites on their way to destiny. Therefore let us be expectant of great manifestation of glory in this year’s Holy Ghost Congress as we use this prayer guide through the period of fasting.
DAY 1; GRATEFUL HEARTS [SACRIFICE OF THANKSGIVING]
BIBLE TEXT: Leviticus 22:29
INTRODUCTION: A grateful heart that offers sacrifices of thanksgiving acknowledges God’s blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. It approaches God with humility, joy, and faith, obeys His commands, and offers sacrificial worship. It is a heart that overflows with love for God, expressed in word and action.

7. Father, we thank You, for the salvation given through Jesus Christ. We offer our lives as a living sacrifice in Jesus name. John 3:16
8. Father, thank You, for Your peace that surpasses all understanding and which guards our hearts and minds in Jesus name. Phil 4:7
9. Father, thank You for directing our steps. We are grateful for Your wisdom and counsel in Jesus name. Proverbs 3:5-6
10. Father, we give thanks for Your healing power, Lord. By Your stripes, we are healed in Jesus name. Isaiah 53:5
11. Father, thank You for forgiving our sins and washing us clean through Your grace and mercy in Jesus name. 1 John 1:9
12. Father, thank You, for protecting us from harm. We take refuge under Your mighty wings in Jesus name. Psalm 91:1
13. Father, we are thankful for the blessing of family and friends. May we love them as You have loved us in Jesus name. 1 Peter 4:8
14. Father, we offer our thanks for the joy of Your presence that fills our hearts, homes with gladness in Jesus name. Psalm 16:11
15. Father, thank You, for the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Our hearts overflow with gratitude. 1 John 5:11

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life.
