Hymn 616. Lord of the harvest, Thee we hail

Lord of the harvest, Thee we hail;

Thine ancient promise doth not fail;

The varying seasons haste their round

With goodness all our years are crown’d,

Our thanks we pay This holy day;

Oh let our hearts in tune be found.

2:

If spring doth wake the song of mirth;

If summer warms the fruitful earth;

When winter sweeps the need plain,

Or autumn yields its ripen’d  grain,

I Still do we sing to Thee, our King;

Through all their changes Thou dostreign.

3:

But chiefly, when Thy liberal hand

Scatters new plenty o’er the land,

When sounds of music fill the air,

As homeward all their treasures bear;

We too will raise our hymn of praise,

For we Thy common bounties share.

4:

Lord of the harvest, all is Thine:

The rains that fall, the suns that shine,

The seed once hidden in the ground,

The skill that makes our fruits abound;

New every year Thy gifts appear;

New praises from our lips shall sound.

Matthew_9-37: Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few

Salvation Prayers

If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Hymn 618. The sower went forth sowing

The sower went forth sowing;

The seed in secret slept

Through days of faith and patience,

Till out the green blade crept;

And warmed by golden sunshine,

And fed by sliver rain,

At last the fields were whitened

To harvest once again

O praise the heav’nly Sower

Who gave the fruitful seed,

And watch’s and water’d duly,

And ripen’d for our need.

2:

Behold! The heavenly Sower

Goes forth with better seed,

The word of sure Salvation,

With feet and hands that bleed;

Here in His church ’tis scattered,

Our spirits are the soil;

Then let an ample fruitage

Repay His pain and toil.

O beautiful the harvest

Wherein all goodness thrives,

And this the true thanksgiving,

The first-firsts of our lives.

3:

Within a hallowed acre

He sows yet other grain,

When peaceful earth receiveth

The dead He died to gain;

For, though the growth be hidden,

We know that they shall rise;

Yea, even now that they ripen

In sunny paradise.

O summer land of harvest,

O fields forever white

With souls that wear Christ’s raiment

With crowns of golden light!

4:

One day the heavenly Sower

Shall reap where He hath sown,

And come again rejoicing,

And with Him bring His own;

And then the fan of judgment

Shall winnow from His floor

The chaff into the furnace

That flameth evermore

O holy, awful Reaper,

Have mercy in the day

Thou puttest in Thy sickle,

And cast us not away.

Thank You Jesus,

I Will Eat The Good Of This Land And My Barns Will Burst Forth With Plenty

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest…shall not cease” Genesis 8:22

Genesis_8-22: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease

Genesis_8-22: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease

Beloved, for you to reap your harvest, you must have faith that your seed will produce for you. It does not matter what the seed is; it could be material or monetary just believe that it will yield you a harvest. Can you imagine a farmer who takes his time to clear a piece of land; plant his crops, apply manure and walks away without expecting a harvest? That farmer would have wasted all his time and labour. In the same vein, henceforth don’t scatter your seed without any faith in what you are doing. We are told in Hebrews 11:6 that it is impossible to please God without faith. Whenever you are opportune to sow, you must believe that you have a harvest because the word of God guarantees every seed will bring forth fruit after its kind.

Another way to reap your harvest is for you to call in your harvest with your mouth. What is it you want to see in your life? You can begin to call forth that job, husband, wife, children or whatever with your mouth. Your words are powerful waiting to deliver your harvest to you. Refuse to keep quiet because angels are waiting to hear your voice. You have a mouth and a wisdom that the enemy will not be able to gain say. Speak what you want to see, because you have the power to call forth those things that be not as though they were. As you begin to speak like God you will create your world. As you begin to speak the promises of God upon your life, God will arise on your behalf and bring them to pass.

I assure you that every seed you have ever sown has received attention and you will not be denied. You will not be put to shame. You will not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble. I declare that the Lord will open to you the windows of heaven and will pour down a blessing upon you. He will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, He who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater will both multiply your seed and give you bread to eat. My prayer is that this year you will eat the good of the land and your barns will burst forth with plenty.

Lord Of The Harvest, Thee We Hail

Matthew_9-37: Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few

Matthew_9-37: Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few

Lord Of The Harvest, Thee We Hail
Thine Ancient Promise Doth Not Fail;
The Varying Seasons Haste Their Round
With Goodness All Our Years Are Crowned,
Our Thanks We Pay This Holy Day;
Oh Let Our Hearts In Tune Be Found.

If Spring Doth Wake The Song Of Mirth;
If Summer Warms The Fruitful Earth;
When Winter Sweeps The Naked Plain,
Or Autumn Yields Its Ripend Grain,
Still Do We Sing To Thee, Our King;
Through All Their Changes Thou Dost Reign.

But Chiefly, When Thy Liberal Hand
Scatters New Plenty Over The Land,
When Sounds Of Inusic Fill The Air,
As Homeward All Their Treasures Bear;
We Too Will Raise Our Hymn Of Praise,
For We Thy Common Bounties Share.

Lord Of The Harvest, All Is Thine:
The Rains That Fall, The Suns That Shine,
The Seed Once Hidden In The Ground,
The Skill That Makes Our Fruits Abound;
New Every Year Thy Gifts Appear;
New Praises From Our Lips Shall Sound.
Amen!

Genesis_8-22: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease

I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

Total restoration is possible for those who believe in God. Beyond total restoration, it is equally possible to be a recipient of uncommon restoration. An uncommon restoration occurs in a situation where your progenitors laboured without a harvest, but when you turned up, you received the reward for all their labours. That was the experience of the children of Israel. For 430 years, they laboured for Egypt without pay. The generation of their fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and others laboured but were not paid; then came the generation that Moses had to lead out of Egypt. The very night they were to go, all the salaries of their fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers and so on were delivered to them (Exodus 12:33-36). Have generations before you laboured without pay? Congratulations! You are the one to enter into their harvests! All that your progenitors worked for, but never got, shall be delivered to you in Jesus’ Name.

Similarly, in some families, a curse of no reward has been placed on them. Due to this curse, “labour without harvest” has become their household name for successive generations. Is that your situation? Has someone placed a curse of “work without reward” on your lineage? Today, that curse is broken! All the harvests of your ancestors that they could not get shall be delivered to you in Jesus’ Name. Moreover, this is also applies to ministers of the gospel. Jesus in John 4:38 says:
“I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.”
Labouring and harvesting are two distinct things. Not everyone who labours receives a commensurate harvest. Within this context, we can safely say that there are three categories of people: those who labour but never enter into their harvests, those who labour and get some or all of their harvest, and those who access the harvest of others, irrespective of whether they laboured for it or not. This explains why some people, including pastors, labour so hard and long at some particular locations without any fruit. After they become discouraged and leave, some others come into the same location and without doing anything much, they begin to reap what they never sowed. You shall not lose your harvest anymore! You shall receive your full harvests and even enter into the unclaimed harvests of others in Jesus Name!

Prayer Point

Father, frustrate every plan to separate me from my harvest, and link me up with the unclaimed harvests of those who have gone ahead of me in my family and in my field of labour.

What will your harvest be?  You Will Reap What You Sow

SCRIPTURE READINGS

1 Timothy 6:3-19

Galatians 6:7-10; 2 Corinthians 9:6-13

Hosea 10; Luke 8:1-15; Romans 6:11-23

The law of sowing and reaping applies to both the natural and the spiritual realm.

Just as a farmers have to pay attention to the physical laws of nature to be sure the seeds they plant grow and produce harvest, so must believers follow the spiritual laws of God to be sure the spiritual seeds they plant produce harvest in the kingdom of God.

Paul told the Galatians that a man will reap whatever he sows. A farmer who planted carrots in the spring is not going to reap strawberries in the fall, but the harvest will just be full of those carrots. A believer who sows hate into the lives of others will not reap blessings, but a believer who sows love and kindness and patience and forgiveness will reap a harvest full of these same things.

What will your harvest be? Have you been planting love and kindness, patience and generosity? Or have you been planting, envy and animosity? If it has been the latter, it’s never too late to dig up these weeds and replace them with seeds of God’s goodness.
