From Hearing to Experiencing

MEMORISE: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

1 John 1:1

READ:  Mark 5:25-34

25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

MESSAGE

There is nothing like being a testifier and experiencing testimonies personally. When you read of mighty miracles in the Bible or hear testimonies of the great things God has done for His people, you might not fully understand His ‘Almightiness. However, this will not be the case if you personally experience His supernatural intervention.

Before the spies came to Jericho in Joshua 2:1-23, Rahab had heard of the many mighty miracles of God. She hadn’t seen any of those miracles, but she believed them, and her faith eventually made her experience some of God’s miracles. When you hear a testimony or read about something that God did in the Scriptures, let it build faith in you. The faith built from the testimonies you hear can help you to also experience miracles, like the woman in today’s Bible reading who was reported to have heard about Jesus (Mark 5:27).

I struggled to believe in divine healing and health when I first became born again. In those days, I was always down with malaria, and I kept taking medications. One day, I saw an elderly man, whom I had always known to have a bent back, walking perfectly upright in church. I was eager to know what had happened to him, and while sharing his testimony, he said that he had gone to evangelize as usual when someone started insulting him in the neighborhood. The fellow told him that if his God is so powerful, He would have healed him from his condition. On hearing this, the man said that he got angry and stood straight. He said that even though his back was burning with pain, he stood straight because he couldn’t stand hearing someone talk about his God in that manner. On getting to his house, the pain disappeared completely. When I heard that testimony, my faith was stirred, and I knew that divine health was possible. l allowed Jesus to become my doctor, and by His grace, I have not had to take malaria medications ever since. I experienced a miracle because my faith increased when I heard someone else’s testimony.

Beloved, if you have heard a testimony from someone about a kind of miracle that you are believing God for, let it build faith in you. God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34); if He has given someone a miracle, He is willing and able to do the same for you. I pray that you will experience a mighty miracle from God today, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name! Amen!

ACTION POINT

Meditate on testimonies concerning the things you are believing God for until they build faith in you.

Salvation Prayers

If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. Hymn 656: ‘In Tenderness He Sought Me’ – A moving testament to Jesus’ compassionate pursuit, saving grace, and the joy of His presence.

Hymn 656: In tenderness He sought me

1:

In tenderness He sought me,

Weary and sick with sin,

And on His shoulders brought me

Back to His fold again.

While angels in His presence sang,

Until the courts of heaven rang.

Chorus:

Oh, the love that sought me!

Oh, the blood that bought me!

Oh, the grace that brought me to the fold,

Wondrous grace that brought me the fold!

2:

He washed the bleeding sin wounds,

And poured in oil and wine;

He whispered to assure me

“I’ve found thee, thou art Mine;”

I never heard a sweeter voice,

It made my aching heart rejoice!

3:

He pointed to the nail prints,

For me His blood was shed,

A mocking crown so thorny,

Was placed upon His head:

I wondered what He saw in me,

To suffer such deep agony.

4:

I’m sitting in His presence,

The sunshine of His face

While with adoring wonder

His blessings I retrace.

It seems as if eternal days

Are far too short to sound His praise.

5:

So while the hours are passing,

All now is perfect rest;

I’m waiting for the morning,

The brightest and the best,

When He will call. us to His side,

To be with Him, His spotless bride.

Hymn 659: ‘Oh, Bless the Lord, My Soul!’ – Proclaim His grace, remember His mercies, and bless His holy name with all within you.

Hymn 659: Oh, bless the Lord, my soul!

1:

Oh, bless the Lord, my soul!

His grace to thee proclaim,

And all that is within me join

To bless His Holy Name.

2:

Oh, bless the Lord, my soul!

His mercies bear in mind,

Forget not all His benefits;

The Lord to thee is kind.

3:

He will not always chide;

He will with patience wait;

His wrath is ever slow to rise

And ready to abate.

4:

He pardons all thy sins,

Prolongs thy feeble breath;

He health thine infirmities,

And ransoms thee from death.

5:

He clothes thee with His love,

Upholds thee with His truth,

And, like the eagle, He renews

The vigour of thy youth.

6:

Then bless His holy name,

Whose grace hath made thee whole,

Whose loving-kindness crowns thy days;

Oh, bless the Lord, my soul!

Pastor Rod Parsley: ‘Be Open and Filled’ with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). You are God’s vessel; let His anointing flow freely to others.

Be Open and Filled

…be filled with the Spirit.

– Ephesians 5:18

You are a vessel-God’s vessel-like a blood vessel in your body. Blood vessels do not produce blood. The marrow manufactures the blood and the vessels carry it.

In the same way, you don’t produce the anointing-the anointing comes from the Holy Spirit inside you. You just carry the anointing to the places and people that need it most.

That is why you need a Spirit-led life. The energy to do the things of God flows out of the spiritual source within.

Jesus said, “Whoever believes in me.streams of living water will flow from within him” (John 7:38).

In yourself, you cannot produce the energy needed to work the things of God-that comes from God’s Spirit. When you are given this energy, you must get rid of every bit you have by letting it flow out of you to a depraved and destitute humanity.

A clogged blood vessel is not a healthy vessel. It has to pour out its life source to stay healthy.

The same is true of you-you need to release the anointing inside you and spread it to everyone around you.

That is why the Bible said, “These signs will accompany those who believe” (Mark 16:17).

God wants you to keep your vessel open.

Lord, keep me open and yielded as Your vessel, that the anointing of Your Spirit may flow freely through me to bring life, healing, and hope to those in need. May I never be clogged with fear or selfishness, but always poured out for Your glory. Amen!

Matthew_5-6: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled

God’s Word will prosper in your life! Isaiah 55:11 assures of its unfailing power to bless, heal, and restore. Believe and receive!

Dear,

Here is your wisdom for today:

THE WORD OF GOD WILL PROSPER IN YOUR LIFE

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth. it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV)

The bible tells us that God magnifies His word above His name (Psalms 138:2). And He says, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.”(Psalms 89:34 KJV) Your part is to just believe and receive the Word and see it work in your life. The Word has no margin for failure. When He sent His Word into a world without form and void, filled with darkness and chaos, that Word of God was what framed the world. Therefore, nothing can stop His word from prospering in your life.

As far as God is concerned, you are under blessing and not under curse. You are not under poverty. The curse of poverty is broken over your life. The curse of failure, disappointment and intimidation is broken over your life. Your life will produce the harvest of every positive word that you has been spoken over your life. No matter the challenges and obstacles on your pathway, you will do great and mighty things, success is your portion. Your strength is renewed and you are refreshed by His Spirit.

What has been difficult for you, shall become easy for you to achieve. The rough paths, shall be made smooth. There shall be restoration of everything that has been stolen from you. Your spiritual life, family, business, finance, marriage, health, academics, career shall be restored. Where they have rejected you and made things tough for you, God will overrule in your favor.

Pastor Rod Parsley on Luke 4:18: The Spirit of the Lord empowers believers to continue Jesus’ ministry and do even greater works through the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of the Lord is in me.

Luke 4:18

In His first sermon, we learn what Jesus’ ministry was all about.and how He wants us to follow in His footsteps.

Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind.release the oppressed.proclaim the favorable year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18-19).

Here at the beginning of proclaiming the Good News and praying for healing, Jesus recognized the anointing of God was on His life. What was the source of that anointing? “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me.”

You and I need to recognize when the Spirit is upon us-anointing us-to do GOD’s bidding. God’s Spirit is in you, waiting to be released. “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-the Spirit of truth, he lives with you and will be in you” (John 14:16-17). He left us a Counselor to guide us in this life.

That is why Jesus said, “Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these” (John 14:12). Because we have been filled with the Holy Spirit, we can do anything in His name.

Luke 4:18: "“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,"

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome teaches: Prove God’s limitless power and abundant provision in your life through faith, not begging or desperation.

Prove GOD in Your Life

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27).

By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. Dd.

As a child of God, never find yourself in situations of desperation or lack where you’re constrained to beg. Even in prayer, God doesn’t want you to beg Him; He has honoured you too much for that. Instead, take your rightful place as His heir. Embrace your position as a child of the monarch of the universe; honoured, dignified and glorified.

The challenge with some folks is that they think about the size of their problems instead of putting their focus on the Lord. What you need is to prove God in your life. Observe what He says in Malachi 3:10, “…prove me now herewith….” Prove Him and see; He’s not intimidated by the greatness of your need.

It reminds me of an encounter with a certain lady who was born with a blood condition. She had come to see me, and as she spoke, she described her “overwhelming” condition, how serious it had been and how it had defied all medical efforts. As I listened to her, I thought, “All it would take to change her life is a few seconds and a few words.”

Immediately, I said to her, “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you’re made whole,” and that was it; she was healed. A couple of weeks later, she did all the medical tests and there was no trace of the sickness in her body anymore. Trust God with your life. Do your part, and He will do His part. He’s more willing and enthusiastic for your success than you could ever be for yourself.

That’s why when you pray, don’t plead or act as though He’s reluctant to bless you. Jesus said in Matthew 7:11, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Simply exercise your faith, and trust in the Lord, for He loves you more than you love yourself, and He’s more than able to sustain you in the realm of superabundance. Prove Him in your life.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word, which assures me of your limitless power and abundant provisions. I trust you completely with my life, knowing that my needs are within your supply system. I declare boldly that I’m abundantly supplied, walking in the realms of superabundance, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Psalm 37:25, I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Malachi 3:10; Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].

Luke 11:9-13; And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if [he ask] a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Hebrews 13:5-6 AMPC; Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] 6 So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?

More Abundant Life in Christ by Pastor Ali, Peter David

MEDITATE ON THIS

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” [JOHN 10:10].

THANK YOU LORD JESUS! WELCOME TO THE LAST THREE DAYS IN APRIL. BLESS THE NAME OF THE LORD OH YE PEOPLE; FOR GOD GIVING US MORE ABUNDANT LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS! WE ARE REDEEMED, HALLELUJAH.

God’s plan for His children is that they do not become sick at all [3 JOHN 2]. All through His years on earth, our Lord Jesus Christ was never sick. If you believe in Him and fully obey Him, it is possible for you to never be sick again.

Sickness is alien to God’s temple – your body [1 CORINTHIANS 6:19]. It is a Stranger, an invader and a tool of the enemy.

JOHN 10:10 says the mission of the devil is to steal, kill and destroy. He wants to steal your health, kill your body and destroy you. But thank God, 1 JOHN 3:8 says Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Every work of darkness operating in your life shall be destroyed in Jesus Christ mighty and matchless name! Amen.

Moreover, Jesus came to give life. The life He came to give is not in limited measure, but at a level described as being more than abundant. In other words, in superlative measure! Life is the opposite of death. Any resemblance of death in you shall be uprooted now now in Jesus Christ precious name [MATTHEW 15:13]. The life Jesus Christ gives includes physical life; hence, He can reserve the process of death in a human body [ACTS 9:39-41].

It also includes spiritual life: He imparts life to a spiritually dead fellow and is able to sustain this life until He returns [1 PETER 2:24]. This is how those who were once sinners become saints and remain holy until they sleep in death or caught up in the rapture. Jesus Christ also gives intellectual life. He can resurrect the mental faculty of a dullard and turn the fellow into a genius [ACTS 4:13].

His abundant life includes financial life: He makes the deeply impoverished to become financially empowered [2 CORINTHIANS 8:9]. The abundant life restores health to the sick, makes the barren fruitful, changes the story of the covered with shame, gives beauty for ashes, joy to the sorrow- laden, compassion to the neglected and so much more.

It is capable of multiplying provision to overflowing measure [MATTHEW 14:13-21, MARK 6:31 – 44, LUKE 9:10-17, JOHN 6:1-14]. Friend, are you a beneficiary of the abundant life? Any blessing you have in limited measure can be made available to you abundantly. Beloved, this season, the abundant life that Jesus Christ gives shall be your portion! Reject anything that is less than the abundant life! Do everything possible to live a life that is filled with God’s abundance in Jesus Christ name!

Beloveth, although Jesus Christ has made all good things abundantly available, your faith will determine the level of what you can draw from it [MATTHEW 9:29]. Friend, I earnestly pray from the depth of my heart, from now onwards, THE TRIBE OF JUDAH family and friends shall draw water from the well of salvation [ISAIAH 12:3-6], in Jesus Christ amazing name Amen-Shalom.
