1: O there’s no sorrow in heaven,

No parting and no goodbye;

To those with sins all forgiven,

There’ll be no tears in the sky,

No sorrow is found in that city,

No heartache and no goodbye:

For all will be bright in that city of light,

For there are no tears in the sky.

2: O there’s no sad disappointment,

No eyes fill’d with tears to dry,

For there will be glad contentment,

here are no tears in the sky.

3: Up there no hearts that are broken,

There no one to breathe a sigh,

No unkind word will be spoken,

There’ll be no tears in the sky.

4: Here hearts are sorrow’d by sadness,

For lov’d ones and friends must die,

But there is sunshine and gladness,

There’ll be no tears in the sky.
