Numbers 24. Balaam
foretold the Happiness of Israel

(Show chapter frame)

1 And
when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at
other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the
wilderness. 2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in
his tents
according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him. 3
And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the
man whose eyes are open hath said: 4 He hath said, which heard the words of
God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but
having his eyes open: 5 How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy
tabernacles, O Israel! 6 As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by
the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and
as cedar trees beside the waters. 7 He shall pour the water out of his buckets,
and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than
Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. 8 God brought him forth out of Egypt;
he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his
enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his
arrows. 9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall
stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he
that curseth thee.

10 And
Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and
Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou
hast altogether blessed them these three times. 11 Therefore now flee
thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the
LORD hath kept thee back from honour. 12 And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I
not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying, 13 If Balak
would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the
commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but
what the LORD saith, that will I speak? 14 And now, behold, I go unto my
people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall
do to thy people in the latter days.

15 And he
took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man
whose eyes are open hath said: 16 He hath said, which heard the words of God,
and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the
Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: 17 I shall
see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star
out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the
corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. 18 And Edom shall be a
possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall
do valiantly. 19 Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall
destroy him that remaineth of the city. 20 And when he looked on Amalek, he
took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but
his latter end shall be that he perish for ever. 21 And he looked on the
Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and
thou puttest thy nest in a rock. 22 Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted,
until Asshur shall carry thee away captive. 23 And he took up his parable, and
said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this! 24 And ships shall come
from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber,
and he also shall perish for ever. 25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned
to his place: and Balak also went his way.

Isaiah 47. Judgment on Babylon (KJV)

1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. 2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. 3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man. 4 As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. 5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms. 6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it. 8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: 9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. 10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. 11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know. 12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. 13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. 14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. 15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.

Leviticus 16. The day
of Atonement

(Show chapter frame)

1 And the
LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they
offered before the LORD, and died; 2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto
Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place
within the veil before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he
die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat. 3 Thus shall Aaron
come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a
ram for a burnt offering. 4 He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall
have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen
girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy
garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them
on.

5 And he
shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats
for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. 6 And Aaron shall offer
his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an
atonement for himself, and for his house. 7 And he shall take the two goats,
and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation. 8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the
LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. 9 And Aaron shall bring the goat
upon which the LORD’S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering. 10 But
the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive
before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a
scapegoat into the wilderness. 11 And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin
offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself,
and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is
for himself: 12 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from
off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten
small, and bring it within the veil: 13 And he shall put the incense
upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the
mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not: 14 And he shall
take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon
the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the
blood with his finger seven times.

15 Then
shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and
bring his blood within the veil, and do with that blood as he did with the
blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy
seat: 16 And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of
the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions
in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation,
that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 And there shall
be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an
atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an
atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make
an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the
blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
19 And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and
cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

20 And
when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the
tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat: 21
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess
over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their
transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and
shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: 22 And
the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited:
and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness. 23 And Aaron shall come into
the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which
he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:
24 And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his
garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering
of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people. 25 And
the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar. 26 And he that let go
the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in
water, and afterward come into the camp. 27 And the bullock for the sin
offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in
to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth
without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh,
and their dung. 28 And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe
his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

29 And this
shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the
tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at
all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that
sojourneth among you: 30 For on that day shall the priest make an
atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins
before the LORD. 31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall
afflict your souls, by a statute for ever. 32 And the priest, whom he shall
anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest’s office in his
father’s stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even
the holy garments: 33 And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary,
and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for
the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the
people of the congregation. 34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto
you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a
year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

Numbers 27. The daughters of Zelophehad. The law of inheritance

1 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. 2 And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, 3 Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father. 5 And Moses brought their cause before the LORD. 6 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them. 8 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. 9 And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren. 10 And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren. 11 And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.

12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. 13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. 14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

15 And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying, 16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, 17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd. 18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; 19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. 20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. 21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation. 22 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: 23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

When we rest in the Lord

When
we rest in the Lord

Don’t
Sweat It, Rest!

Ruth
3:18

18Then
she said, “Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will turn out;
for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.”

God
does not want you to “sweat”. Sweat here does not refer to your body’s
perspiration, but your self-reliance or self-effort. God does not want you to
believe that if you don’t do anything, nothing will happen. That may be true
for someone without God in his life, but it is not true for you because you
have God. And when He is in the picture, the God-factor changes everything!

When
you are resting in God, He works for you. In fact, when He works, you end up
with more. He is the one who is giving to you. It is not about you trying to
give to yourself.

This
was what happened to Ruth in the Old Testament. After laboring in the barley
fields from morning to evening, she was able to glean one ephah of barley (Ruth
2:17), which was equivalent to a 10-day supply of barley. Certainly, this
amount was a blessing to her.

But
when she rested at the feet of Boaz, her kinsman-redeemer, and did not labor,
she received six ephahs of barley (Ruth 3:15), which was equivalent to a 60-day
supply! When Ruth sought her own blessing, she obtained only one ephah. But
when she sought the blesser, she received much more.

Ruth’s
blessings did not stop there. While Ruth rested and sat still as her
mother-in-law Naomi had instructed, Boaz, who was the owner of the barley
field, went to work, initiating actions, executing them and speaking on Ruth’s
behalf. Right through it all, Ruth sat still and rested. Eventually, Boaz, the
barley man himself, married Ruth. (Ruth 4) That meant no more measured wealth
of six ephahs, but the yield of the whole barley field in total!

Boaz
is a picture of Jesus, our heavenly kinsman-redeemer. When we rest in the Lord,
He will not rest. He will work on our behalf. What do we do then? We just trust
in and enjoy His love for us.

Beloved,
stop striving and be at rest. If salvation, the greatest work, comes to us by
resting in Jesus’ finished work, how much more will all the other blessings?

May GOD bless Nigeria, America
and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be
gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us
peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

May the grace the Lord Jesus
Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you
all. Amen!

Abba Father

Abba Father

You received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we
cry, “Abba,” Father.

Romans 8:15, NIV

What makes you and I think we can do without a
personal prayer life? It’s through prayer that we come into a personal,
intimate relationship with our heavenly Father.

Do you long to have a closer relationship with God,
but you don’t feel worthy? Are you convinced you are a nobody and therefore
would never be accepted, much less welcomed, into His presence?

Praise God! Our entrance into His presence is not
based on our own worthiness but on the worthiness of Jesus Christ! When we
enter God’s presence in Jesus’ name, we are as accepted by God as Jesus is,
because God counts us as His own dear children!

Jesus invites you and I, in His name, to come into
His Father’s presence through prayer, crawl up into His lap by faith, put our
head on His shoulder of strength, feel His loving arms of protection around us,
call Him “Abba” Daddy, and pour out our hearts to Him in prayer!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America
and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be
gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us
peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Blood
of Jesus Christ

How
much more . . . will the blood of Christ . . . cleanse our consciences from
acts that lead to death.

Hebrews
9:14, NIV

Do
you know people who arrogantly insist that if their good works outweigh their
bad works, God is somehow obligated to accept them? As you look around, what
“fruit” do you see others bringing to the place of sacrifice instead
of humbly approaching God through the blood of His Son? The “fruit”
of

religious
activity,

good
works,

morality,

or
philanthropy?

Many people do not want to come to
the place of sacrifice, the Cross of Jesus Christ, because it intensifies the
conviction of their own sin and judgment and is a reminder that heaven’s gate
is closed to sinners. God warns that “a man is not justified by observing
the law,” (Gal. 2:16, NIV)
because “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” of
sin (Heb. 9:22, NIV). So humble
yourself, come to the Cross, and thank God for the blood of Jesus that is
sufficient to forgive any and all sin

The Righteous Will Live By Faith

Seed of Faith

For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Romans 1:17

Are you secure in God’s promise to never leave you or forsake you?

When we feel fear or uncertainty we should stand on God’s promises in His Word: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). Is your testimony one of faith or of fear?

Lester Sumrall said, “Faith is to be a constant dominating experience in your life-not something that comes once in a while… continually test yourself… when you start to make a decision or do something ask, ‘Is this faith’s road I’m walking? Or is it unbelief’s?’ If it is unbelief’s, get off that road! You don’t belong there. ‘Is this faith’s choice? Or is it fear’s choice?’ I’m not making that choice. I don’t want fear dominating my life. That’s living by faith. That’s the eternal quest for faith. You must do it all the time. Don’t quit. Just pursue it.”

Put your trust in God and get a spirit of faith. He has never let anyone down and He won’t start with you.

Unlocking Spiritual Secrets in Our World

The Secret Things Belong Unto The Lord Our God

The secret things belong unto the Lord Our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law (Deuteronomy 29:29)

One Bible character who had access to great revelations through the help of the Holy Spirit was Ezekiel.

The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, Ezekiel 37:1

The children of Israel at this point in time were groaning under Babylonian captivity. They saw themselves as withered away and having no hope (Ezekiel 37:11). It took Ezekiel’s being in the Spirit, and connecting with the Holy Spirit to discover what God had in store for them; to help them see that captivity was not their end but rather God was going to restore them back to the Promised Land (Ezekiel 37:12-14). Our God is the Custodian of secrets. However, there are some of His secret we need for our benefit as well as for the benefit of our loved ones, church members, etc. until we through our spirit man link up with the Holy Spirit, we may be denied such revelations. May you not be denied the secrets you need to enter your destiny in Jesus Christ Name! Amen! This explains why it is good to go into God’s presence on Sunday morning fasting. Also, it is very beneficial to pray in the spirit at least one or two hours daily. How often are you in spirit?

As a Christian, you choose either to walk in the spirit or in the flesh (carnal). The spiritual growth of a carnal Christian is pegged, except the fellow decide to deal with the flesh. As long as you allow or tolerate carnality in your life, you may not be able to access deep spiritual truths that can change your life and that of others. Galatians 5:17 says the flesh and the spirit are in opposition. To walk in the spirit, discipline the flesh. Your flesh craves for pleasure and loves to be indulged in things contrary to the spirit. Deny it! The extent of your spiritual ascent is determined by the degree to which you deny or subdue your flesh. To successfully keep your flesh under like Paul, you must be prepared to cooperate with The Holy Spirit. Screen what you see, read or watch. Destroy any lust breeding material such as in tapes, CDs, DVDs, printed materials, internet, etc. deliberately choose the television programmes you watch. Hear no evil, touch no evil and see no evil.

Every divine secret you need to know but you fail to get will cause you regrets. Ask God for the revelation of every secret you need to know now!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Resurrection of Christ

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed

John 20:29, NIV

The Grave Clothes

Upon hearing the news of the empty tomb, Peter and John ran to see for themselves. Peter confronted the evidence, but he was confused. At that instant, he must have been angrier than ever. He must have surmised that the enemies of Jesus who had dared to crucify Him, had now taken the body for who knew what purpose!

John quietly looked around. He noticed that the grave clothes were totally unlike those of Lazarus, which had been just a pile of stinking rags by the time Martha had finished unwrapping him. These grave clothes were lying, not as though someone had removed them from the body, but as though the body were still inside! The face cloth was situated where the face would have been, with the few inches of the neck separating it from the rest of the shroud. As he studied the evidence, it must have gradually dawned on him that the grave clothes looked like an empty cocoon! They looked as though the body had just evaporated up through them! Then John knew! (John 20:8). The body hadn’t evaporated. Jesus had risen from the dead!

Blessings

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Do the Will of God

John 4:34 says: “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work.” Before this statement the disciples asked Jesus if He was hungry. His reply was essentially, “There are natural things that I must deal with. There are natural things that I have to resist. But no matter what, I have come to do My Father’s will.” You might wonder what this has to do with our look at the elements of salvation. It is this. When we don’t have a purpose in life, we will be void of fulfillment. Jesus came to give us purpose and fulfillment. Our purpose is to do the will of God. We are purposed to live in the will of God, in His blessing, and to share His will of hope to others. Without a vision, people perish. Jesus came and told us that doing the Father‘s will is more important than earthly things will ever be. It is the only thing in life that really satisfies. When you get involved in the work of God – in your church, in your workplace, in your home with a Bible study, or in reaching out to others to help them find Christ – you fulfill purpose. And, the great benefit is you also encourage and strengthen people even as you are satisfied. This is definitely a part of salvation.

Be satisfied!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Psalms 11. Faith in the LORD’s righteousness. Confidence in the LORD

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David

1 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? 2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. 3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. 5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. 6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Overcoming Life’s Challenges in Christ

WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST? FOR WE ARE
MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US (ROMANS 8:35-37)

As long as you’re in your physical body, you’re going to
face crises in life. You’re going to have to contend with forces of darkness
that’ll seek to destroy you. You mustn’t do that from the position of a victim,
it has to be from the position of a victor. This is why the teaching of the
Word of God is so important. As you learn God’s Word, you’ll discover you were
not made to be a victim. You’re born a victor. Let that be the standpoint from
which you view life; cultivate the “giant killer” mentality because that’s who
you are – more than a conqueror, an overcomer in Christ Jesus!

Ignorance of God’s Word has been the undoing of many of
God’s people. It is ignorance that gets some of them searching for deliverance
from one place to the other. You have to come out of that position of a
sufferer. According to the Bible, the true testimonies aren’t, “I was in
trouble, but God brought me out,” or “I was sick, but now I am healed!” The
true testimony is the declaration of God’s Word. As you mature in Christ,
you’ll discover you’re not poor trying to get rich or the sick trying to get
healed; you’re the blessed of God!

Healing belongs to you, prosperity is yours; your life has
been adequately furnished with every good thing necessary for you to live the
divine life. Stand tall in Christ Jesus; you’re not a victim but a victor. You
can never be disadvantaged in life; it doesn’t matter what comes your way, the
Bible says all things work together for your good! You’re not a child of
chance; predestination is at work in you and your life is for the praise and
glory of God, Amen!

PRAYER

My Dear Heavenly
Father, I thank You for making me more than a conqueror; a victor and an
overcomer in this life. Therefore, no matter what comes against me I stand tall
in Christ Jesus and remain a victor and a bundle of success in Jesus Christ
Name, Amen!

Run Your Own Race: Embrace Your Journey

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

LET US RUN WITH PATIENCE THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE US,
LOOKING UNTO JESUS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH

Wherefore seeing we
also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witness, let us lay aside
every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with
patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2)

In life, you must never compare yourself with others;
rather, run your race and be the best of you. The Bible talks about “the race”
that is set before us; thus you’re not called to run someone else’s race.
Hence, it’s needless to engage in any kind of unhealthy rivalry or competition
with others. You’re only permitted to compete with yourself and outdo your
past. Never allow yourself to be discouraged when it seems as though those
around you are making more progress than you are; you’re not running the same
race.

That someone else is succeeding doesn’t mean you’re failing:
it all depends on individual aims, targets, and objectives. Success is
relative, and is measured at different stages. Take for instance, two men who
are building their houses. While one lays a not-too-deep foundation and starts
erecting a bungalow, the other one takes his time to dig deep because he wants
to erect a five – storey building. The former may finish his building and even
start living in it while the latter is yet digging his foundation.

Now, the first man may even jeer at his colleague and
mockingly ask him, “Hey! Are you still digging? I’ve finished building my own
house!” but what he doesn’t realized is that they aren’t aiming for the same
thing. The fellow who spent a long time digging knew that his foundation had to
be deep enough to support the tall building he intends to put up, for the
higher you want to build, the deeper your foundation ought to be.

At the end, when both houses are built, the difference will
be clear between the two buildings. So in life, focus on your race! Compete
only with yourself based on God’s plan for your own life. When you have this
consciousness, your life will be full of rest, and you’ll learn to measure your
success through the Word.

PRAYER

Dear, Lord, thank You
for showing me how to run with patience the race that you’ve set before me. My
gaze is on You Lord Jesus and my energies are focused on fulfilling Your plans
and purposes for my life; I refuse to compare myself with anyone else, but
measure my success in life with Your Word. Amen!

O Lord save Your Nations
Nigeria and Israel from all their enemies to Your glory alone in Christ Jesus,
Amen!

Did the US attacks on the Iranian nuclear sites work?

Did the US attacks on the Iranian nuclear sites work?

Based on the latest reports as of June 27, 2025, the U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear sites were conducted, but their ultimate success is a matter of ongoing assessment and debate.

According to statements from U.S. officials and a preliminary intelligence report, the attacks inflicted “extremely severe damage” on three key nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The U.S. used specialized “bunker buster” bombs (GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator) dropped by B-2 stealth bombers, which are designed to penetrate deeply buried, hardened targets.

However, a leaked preliminary U.S. intelligence report suggests that while the sites were significantly damaged, they were not completely destroyed. The report indicates that the strikes set back Iran’s nuclear program by a matter of months, rather than the years or decades claimed by some officials. Iran has confirmed the attacks took place but insists its nuclear work will not be stopped and has reported no signs of radioactive contamination.

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the key nuclear facilities were “completely and fully obliterated” and that the strikes were a “spectacular military success.” This has been supported by some U.S. and Israeli officials. However, other sources, including some intelligence assessments and analysts, have offered a more cautious view, suggesting the damage was substantial but not total.

In short, the attacks inflicted significant damage, but whether they “worked” in terms of completely obliterating the program is still being determined.

Burning Questions:

  1. What is the current status of Iran’s nuclear program, and how has it escalated in recent years?
  2. How does Iran’s nuclear program impact regional and global security?
  3. What are the key components of Iran’s nuclear program, including its uranium enrichment activities?
  4. How has the international community, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), responded to Iran’s nuclear program?
  5. What are the potential implications of Iran developing nuclear weapons, and how can it be prevented?
  6. How has Iran’s nuclear program affected its relationships with other countries, including the United States and European nations?
  7. What are the possible consequences of a nuclear-armed Iran, and how can diplomacy help resolve the situation?
  8. How does Iran’s nuclear program relate to its ballistic missile development and military capabilities?
  9. What role can international organizations, such as the IAEA, play in monitoring and regulating Iran’s nuclear activities?
  10. How might Iran’s nuclear program impact the Middle East’s stability and security?
  11. What are the potential benefits and drawbacks of diplomatic negotiations between Iran and other countries regarding its nuclear program?
  12. How can the international community balance concerns about Iran’s nuclear program with the need to engage in diplomatic efforts?
  13. What were the circumstances surrounding the US military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities on June 21, 2025?
  14. How did the US justify its military action against Iran’s nuclear program?
  15. What were the targets of the US military strikes in Iran, and what damage was reported?
  16. How did Iran respond to the US military strikes, and what were the consequences?
  17. What role did international law and diplomacy play in the US decision to conduct military strikes?
  18. How might the US military strikes impact the future of Iran’s nuclear program and regional security?
  19. What are the potential long-term implications of the US military action for US-Iran relations?
  20. How did the international community react to the US military strikes on Iran?
  21. What are the possible consequences of further military escalation between the US and Iran?
  22. How can diplomatic efforts help de-escalate tensions between the US and Iran?
  23. What are the key factors influencing US policy towards Iran’s nuclear program?
  24. How might the US military strikes affect the global non-proliferation regime and nuclear security?
  25. What are the primary sources of conflict in the Middle East, and how do they intersect with the Iran nuclear issue?
  26. How has the conflict between Iran and other countries, including Israel and the US, escalated in recent years?
  27. What role do proxy wars and militias play in the Middle East conflict?
  28. How might the Iran nuclear program impact the regional balance of power in the Middle East?
  29. What are the potential humanitarian consequences of further conflict in the Middle East?
  30. How can diplomatic efforts and international cooperation help reduce tensions in the region?
  31. What are the key interests and motivations of various countries involved in the Middle East conflict?
  32. How might the conflict in the Middle East impact global energy markets and economic stability?
  33. What role can regional organizations, such as the Gulf Cooperation Council, play in promoting stability?
  34. How can the international community support efforts to resolve conflicts in the Middle East?
  35. What are the potential long-term implications of ongoing conflicts in the Middle East?
  36. How might a peaceful resolution to the Middle East conflict impact regional and global security?

Divine Victory. Clarifying Misconceptions Christendom

TEXT: John 5:39

INTRODUCTION: John 5:39, as believers, we are admonished to ensure we search the scriptures; according to Charles Spurgeon; “The devil’s effective strategy is not to attack the church directly, but to infiltrate it with false teaching and corrupt practices…”, knowing this will help us contend more for our faith. This knowledge will guide us from becoming victims of misconceptions that can derail us from the path of truth. If these misconceptions are not addressed, it has the potential of becoming the truth, which will erode the ancient landmarks and lead many away from the faith. Teaching on misconceptions can be controversial, but the true church must be consistent by standing against it. Whatever is not prohibited is permitted!

As we continue in this series, may the Spirit of Christ guide us into all truth in Jesus name, Amen.

OUTLINE 1: WE WILL GET TO HEAVEN BASED ON HOW GOOD WE ARE ON EARTH: Eph. 2:8-9, 2 Tim 1:9, 1Tim.1:1, Titus 3:5, Romans 3:23, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, James 1:17, 2:17, Matt 7:16-20, 5:48, Heb 12:14

Salvation is by grace through faith and not by works, it is the gift of God so that none can boast. Christ saved us not because of good works done by us but according to his own mercy. We cannot get to Heaven based on the good works we have done. The Bible makes it clear; for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus is the only way, the only truth and the only life to heaven. There is no salvation in no else and the only name under heaven given amongst men by which we must be saved. Good works are a result of salvation and evidence of genuine faith, not a means of salvation and passport to Heaven. A transformed life bears good works, for by their fruits you shall know them. God’s standard for Heaven is Holiness without which no man can see God.

KEY POINT: Romans 3:10, Isa 64:6b – None is righteous no not one, therefore, relying on good will fail.

OUTLINE 2: SHOULD A BELIEVER ALLOW HIS OR HER RELIGIOUS PRACTICES TO IMPART ADVERSELY ON PAID EMPLOYMENT:

COLLOSIANS 3:23-24, MATT 5:16, TITUS 2:9-10, Matt 6:33, Col. 3:23, Romans 12:18, Acts 5:29, 1Peter 2:12, 1 Tess.4:11-12, Phil. 4:5

The relationship between religious practices and employment can sometimes create conflict, and maintaining a balance requires tact and wisdom. The Bible provides principles to guide believers on how to resolve conflict without compromising their faith and professional responsibilities.

1. Prioritize God, be wise and respectful; your ultimate allegiance is to God, it does not mean disregarding work.

2. Work diligently as an act of worship and don’t give your employer a reason to criticize your faith

3. Avoid becoming a conduit for sin in the hands of your employers and above reproach (lying, defraud)

4. Be an example of integrity in work ethics so that our faith becomes attractive to our colleagues

5. Be diligent and don’t use faith as an excuse for poor performance

KEY POINT: James 1:5, Wisdom is profitable; however, be loyal to God, He remains faithful as a great rewarder.

OUTLINE 3: VIOLENT PRAYERS ARE ALWAYS ANSWERED: MATT 11:12, LUKE 18:1-8, 1 JOHN 5:14-15, Matt 11:7-11, 16-19, HEB. 11:6, PHIL 3:12-14, JUDE 1:1-3, ISA. 59:1, ROMANS 9:15-16, ECCL. 9:11, LUKE 11:1-5

What does violent prayer mean? This belief is one of the most debated practices, a very controversial and grave misconception that has eaten deep into Christendom due to the misunderstanding of Jesus’ reference to and praise of John the Baptist and wrongly interpreted that the louder you shout while praying, the faster God will answer your prayers. There are two sources of violence concerning the kingdom of God: from the world through persecution and from believers through Zeal (faith, teaching and perseverance).

Christ’s model of prayer is devoid of shouting but full of reference, worship and love. Our Father who hath in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come…

If shouting was required, the master would have instructed us to follow suit but admonished us not be like the Pharisees and Sadducees. The kingdom of God is not for the weak in heart but for the strong. It is mercy that speaks and covers the multitude of our iniquity. Shouting to God to answer us is a sign that we are far from Him. We do not shout at those we love!

KEY POINT: Ps 51: 17, Luke 18:10-14, A broken and a contrite heart is a gem to God

CONCLUSION: 2 Tim 2:15, Titus 3:8, Constant study of and meditation on the scriptures and obedience to instructions thereby will help us not to become victims of misconceptions.

One there is above all others: Hymn 695

1: One there is above all others,

Oh, how He loves!

His is love beyond a brother’s,

Oh, how He loves!

Earthly friends may fail or leave us,

One day soothe, the next day grieve us,

But this friend will ne’er deceive us,

Oh, how He loves!

2: ‘Tis eternal life to know Him,

Oh, how He loves!

Think, O think how much we owe Him,

Oh, how He loves!

With His precious blood He bought us,

In the wilderness He sought us,

To His fold He safely brought us,

Oh how He loves!

3: We have found a friend in Jesus,

Oh, how He loves!

‘Tis His great delight to bless us,

Oh, how He loves!

How our hearts delight to hear Him;

Bid us dwell in safety near Him?

Why should we distrust or fear Him?

Oh, how He loves!

4: Through His name we are forgiven,

Oh, how He loves!

Oh, how He loves!

Best of blessings He’ll provide us

Nought but good shall e’er betide us,

Safe to glory He will guide us,

Oh, how He loves!

I want to be like Jesus: Hymn 696

1: I want to be like Jesus,

So lowly and so meek;

For no one mark’d an angry word,

That ever heard Him speak,

2: I want to be like Jesus,

So frequently in prayer;

Alone upon the mountain top,

He met his Father there.

3: I want to be like Jesus,

I never, never find

That He, though persecuted was

To anyone unkind.

4: I want to be like Jesus,

Engaged in doing good;

So that of me it may be said

“He hath done what he could.”

5: I want to be like Jesus,

Who sweetly said to all,

“Let little children come to Me;”

I would obey the call.

6: But oh I’m not like Jesus,

As anyone may see;

O gentle Saviour, send Thy grace,

And make me like to Thee
