What do you do “When Life Stinks”?

Corrie Milne 2008-01-01 (2)
What do you do “When Life Stinks“?

At some point in time, everyone experiences a huge let down. No one is exempt! Something doesn’t go our way or someone doesn’t come through as anticipated. And, sometimes that someone is God! Pretending that life is nothing but sunshine once you give your life to Christ would be just that…pretending!

Learning, how to handle our disappointment, even disappointment with God, is essential in our faith journey.

Corrie ten Boom said it best, when we go through the darkest of tunnels, “that’s the most important time to stay on the train and trust the Conductor-GOD!.”

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Jesus Christ Is Standing At the Door Of Our Hearts

It is humbling to imagine that even in His heavenly glory, Christ knocks on the doors of our hearts, asking to come in. If we open that door, we will stand before Him. What a glorious moment. There is an old song that speaks of the comfort we find when we stand before God and with God.

When I stand with God, no raging storm shall ever shake me
When I stand with Him, the cares of life can never break me
For when I’m crying He dries my tears
When I’m frightened He hides my fears
All my sorrows disappear
When I stand with Him.

We have the assurance that in the storms of life, Jesus Himself will be standing with us. He is waiting to share our sorrows and to renew our courage.

Billy Graham (Excerpted from Storm Warning)

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Blood of Jesus Christ

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

The Blood of Jesus Christ

How much more . . . will the blood of Christ . . . cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death.

Hebrews 9:14, NIV

Do you know people who arrogantly insist that if their good works outweigh their bad works, God is somehow obligated to accept them? As you look around, what “fruit” do you see others bringing to the place of sacrifice instead of humbly approaching God through the blood of His Son? The “fruit” of

religious activity,

good works,

morality,

or philanthropy?

Many people do not want to come to the place of sacrifice, the Cross of Jesus Christ, because it intensifies the conviction of their own sin and judgment and is a reminder that heaven’s gate is closed to sinners. God warns that “a man is not justified by observing the law,” (Gal. 2:16, NIV) because “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” of sin (Heb. 9:22, NIV). So humble yourself, come to the Cross, and thank God for the blood of Jesus that is sufficient to forgive any and all sin

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Jesus Will!

English: Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey

Jesus Will!

The Bible reveals to us that what Jesus says to one, He says to all. He is not a respecter of persons, and He does not change. His answer to one person is His answer to all people. In Matthew 8:1-4 there was a leper, and he came to Jesus for help. He told Jesus what he believed when he said, “If You will, You can make me clean.” The man believed Jesus had unlimited power. He believed nothing was impossible for Jesus. He believed Jesus was God‘s Son, and he believed whatever Jesus said would come to pass. He would have obeyed and done whatever Jesus told him to do. The only question this man had was “Will you?” He did not question the power or ability of Jesus, but he was unsure of His willingness.

Jesus settled the willingness question forever when He responded, “I will. Be clean.” What Jesus said to this man is what He will say to you in every situation. Jesus is willing. If you ask Him, “Will you help me?”, His answer will be, “I will.” If you ask, “Will you lead me?”, His answer will be, “I will.” If you ask, “Will you resolve this issue?”, He will say, “I will.” If you ask, “Will you stir me?”, you will hear, “I will.” If like this man you wonder, “Will you heal me?”, you will discover, “I will.” When you accept that it is God’s will to fulfil every promise and to do for you what He’s done for multitudes of others, then you will set yourself up for a miracle. Now, all you have to do is what the leper did – just mix faith with and act on the Word of God. God is waiting and His answer is, “I will.”

He will!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God operates according to the principle of seed, time, and harvest

God operates according to the principle of seed, time, and harvest

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully

2 Corinthians 9:6

Paul had been talking about giving to the saints, and in this verse he
said, “he that soweth…” God looks at your giving as seed, and
He looks at you as if you are a farmer. That’s why we say, a seed will
meet any need.
God operates according to the principle of seed, time, and harvest. If
you want to have a harvest, you must first plant a seed.

Paul was telling this church that he who sows (gives) bountifully, will
reap bountifully. He who gives a little, will reap a little. The amount
you invest directly relates to the amount you receive.

Count your blessings, name them one by one (Hymn)

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,

when you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,

Count your many blessings, name them one by one,

And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Count your blessings, name them one by one

Count your blessings, see what God hath done!

Count your blessings, name them one by one,

And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?

Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?

Count your many blessing, every doubt will fly,

And you will keep singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,

Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;

Count your many blessing. Wealth can never buy

Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,

Do not be disheartened, God is over all;

Count your many blessings, angels will attend,

Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Like Jesus

LIKE JESUS

Esther 1-3

Memorize:Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1 John 3:7

Read: 1 John 3:1-10

The call to salvation is a call to holiness. After you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, it does not end there; the journey to Heaven has only just begun. Before you were saved, you manifested the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).

But now that you have encountered Jesus Christ at salvation, the fruit of the Spirit is expected from you (Galatians 5:22-23). Every attempt at righteousness before your salvation was equal to self-righteousness which is as filthy rags to God (Isaiah 64:6); hence, Paul says his self-righteousness no longer counts but the righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:9).

God has not only saved us and given us the gift of righteousness, He also expects us to live a life in agreement with His standard. Today, some people think that it is just enough to be born again and that nothing else is required.

No! It is not enough! The truth is your new birth gives you the platform on which to build on, having secured God’s righteousness through your faith in Christ Jesus. We are called to be like our Saviour Jesus Christ. In 1 John 2:1, Jesus is called the righteous, and verse 29 says: If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

This means that the fruit of righteousness that you bear will be used to determine whether you are born of God or not. 1 John 3:7 says: Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. God is not saying you should be holier than Jesus. Even Jesus says it is enough for a servant to be like his master (Luke 6:40).

If God expected works of righteousness from Jesus, He expects the same from you. If you look at the letters the Lord wrote to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3, you will notice that He kept repeating that those who will qualify for those wonderful rewards are only the believers who overcome as He also overcame.

In every point Jesus overcame, you too should, because He is our standard. Every act of righteousness He manifested, you too should. You must live a life that manifests the victory Christ has given you over the flesh, Satan and the world. You must allow Him to live His righteous life through you. Are you daily living a life of righteousness?

KEY POINT: Jesus is God’s unchangeable standard for man. Be like Him in everything including righteous living.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

I will sing to the LORD, for He has been good to me

Happiness

I will sing to the LORD, for He has been good to me

“But I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, for He has been good to me.” Psalm 13:5-6

One of the greatest ways that we as Christians can love God is to enjoy Him. How does obedience glorify God if there is no joy? How does service glorify God with no joy? How does giving glorify Him without joy? Our lives ought to be a song of joyful praise to our God, for who He is and for what He has done.

God designed man to find his supreme happiness in Him alone. But sin robbed man of the joy that only God can give. Satan convinced our ancestors in the Garden of Eden that they could invent some kind of happiness apart from God. He deceived Eve into believing that she could be “like God,” and that God was withholding something good from her. That first bite of forbidden fruit was nothing more than a hopeless attempt to find something other than God to make her happy. Out of that first choice flowed all of human history…countless attempts throughout the ages to find joy somewhere other than in God. Money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, slavery, empires – the long, dreadful story of man’s futile attempts to satisfy an unquenchable thirst for God alone.

Psalm 16:11 says, “You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” The psalmist understood what many of us do not – that it is useless to pray that God grant happiness through anything or anyone other than Himself. He cannot do it. Why? Because it is not there; such happiness does not exist. There is no satisfaction or joy apart from Him. We were created to be in relationship with Him. Not just an intellectual belief, but also a deep, meaningful, intimate, joyful communion with our Creator. To know Him is to know joy like no other.

When we enjoy God, He is glorified through our lives. So how do we enjoy Him? There is no four-step process or spiritual formula. We enjoy Him by looking to Him to meet every need, comfort every heartache, fill every void, and guide every step. We enjoy Him by spending time with Him. The more we know God, the more we will experience true happiness.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! Your grace and mercy are all I could ever need to be truly satisfied and joyful. When I think about Your salvation, my heart overflows with gratitude and praise. Please forgive me for looking to other things for happiness. You alone are my hope and my joy. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Be Set Free

English: Resurrection of Christ

Be set free

In Mark 1:23-26 there is a story about a demoniac, a man who was imprisoned by the devil. He was totally demon possessed until he met Jesus. When we think of demon possession, we know the person has been possessed by the devil, and we think of the devil as having ownership over a life. This is true, but often the things leading up to demon possession are not considered or recognized.

There are things that come by mere thoughts, things the devil brings to a person’s mind that may go largely unnoticed. The person accepts the thoughts, even thinking the thoughts are their own, and the thoughts are not dealt with. The thoughts turn into a habit, and the habit turns into an obsession, and the obsession turns into a bondage, an addiction, a prison, and even a possession. There are many little things the devil uses to build places where he may launch an attack for the purpose of controlling a life.

This is why the Bible tells us to constantly judge ourselves to make sure we are staying in the faith. We need to look around and see if there are areas where the devil has crept into our lives or our homes. Look at your conversation. Is the devil there? How about your thoughts? Has he gained an entrance? Wherever you find weakness, you as a believer have authority over the devil. You have everything it takes to withstand him and be successful in your warfare against him. Rise up. Refuse to be defeated, and be set free

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God Never Changes!

God never changes

Why Pray?

Read: Hebrews 6:17

“To those who were to receive what He promised, God wanted to make it very clear that He would never change His purpose; so He added His vow to the promise”

Although God will never change His overarching plans and purposes, Scripture passages abound that show how God sometimes alters His plans on a limited basis in response to our faith and actions.

For example, He reverses His judgment because of sincere repentance of sinners, such as when the city of Nineveh believed God and repented so that God withheld judgment. At other times, He responds to the needs of human beings or the fervent prayer of the righteous, as illustrated by the parable Jesus told about the widow who persistently pled with the judge for justice. This is one of the mysteries of God’s nature.

We know that God never changes, and yet He relates to us and gives us our free will. When we pray and ask Him to intervene in our lives, He does so—when it is in line with His will. He works through us as we walk and talk with Him.

So I encourage you to take comfort in the fact that God never changes; but realize that when we seek His face, we can expect Him to respond to our prayers.

Where do you need God to intervene in your life or even in your community today? How will He be glorified by answering your prayer? Pray in humility, understanding that God is the sovereign God who sees the entire picture.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God delights in your prayers

God delights in your prayers

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is His delight (Proverbs 15:8).

Prayer is a spiritual exercise based on man’s communion or fellowship with God. It could be in the form of request, supplication, praise or thanksgiving. Now, the Bible says that the prayer of the righteous is God’s delight. What makes the prayer of the righteous delightsome isn’t just its content, but the one who’s praying.

You see, the delight of a father is in the request of his children. In other words, every time you want something and you go to your father, as against going to a stranger, he is happy. No father is happy when his child goes to a stranger to ask for clothes or money or food. Likewise, the delight of our Heavenly Father is when we present our request to Him through prayer. He doesn’t want you looking up to your boss, your business or the government for your needs, for He is the one Who supplies, “………..all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus(Philippians 4:19). It’s also important that you recognize that your requests or the content of your prayer should change as you mature in God’s Word.

I’m sure you wanted to have everything you saw when you were a little child; you saw a dog passing and you wanted one; you saw a train and you wanted one too. You requested for almost everything you saw, some of which you didn’t get because you weren’t matured enough to handle the responsibility. But as you grew, you put away such childish attitude. You must get to a stage in your spiritual life where you’ll no longer need to make any request before your needs are met. All you do is praise and thank God for you’ve become convinced of His passion towards you.

There was a time when everything you say in your prayer was only about you: “God give me this; give me that;” “Oh God, keep the devil away from me; don’t let the devil trouble me anymore.” But as you grow in God’s Word, you begin to say, “God, give me souls; help me to win more people to you.” You’re praying more for others than yourself. In other words, your vision expands; you’re more concerned about the vision of your Heavenly Father for the world. That’s the joy and delight of God.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I rejoice in the knowledge that You delight in my prayers. I thank You because Your vision has became my vision and Your passion for soul winning, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

It’s time for your miracle

It’s time for your miracle

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Luke 11:10)

I have good news from the LORD for you today. The message is that you should get ready, for you are a qualified candidate for a miracle. “How do I qualify for it?” you may want to ask. You were qualified the moment you believed in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is the real miracle worker; He is the Healer.

When you trust the LORD for a miracle, He’ll certainly give it to you. You see, the LORD specializes in doing miracles and He always want His children to live fulfilled lives. Our LORD Jesus said to His disciples, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” (John 15:11). Then in John 16:24 He says, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” So you see, He wants His joy to be in you and He wants your joy to be made full. He wants you to ask Him for a miracle today. Whether it’s in your finances, academics, marriage or health, it makes no difference to Him at all for He can do anything for you. Always remember, He loves you so very much!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I have received Your Word today. Therefore, I receive my healing, financial increase, restoration and everything I desire from you, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God And His Word are One

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

God And His Word are One

God and His Word are One (John 1:1). In the book of Genesis, God fashioned the whole creation by His Word. When He said, “Let there be light!” And light appeared (Genesis 1:3) and every other creation came into existence through His Word. In fact, all of God’s creation is kept in its place and maintained together in perfect harmony by the Word (Hebrews 1:3).  God’s Word is so powerful!

Now, Romans 10:8 says, “……The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach).” In other words, this all-powerful Word of God is not far from you at all; it’s in your heart and your mouth. That means you can turn the circumstances of your life around to your favour. Just thinking about this alone should make you shout for joy.

If you want to drink a glass of water, do you just stand in front of your refrigerator and say, “Please, give me water?” No! What you do is open the refrigerator and pour yourself a glass of water. In the same manner, you don’t have to keep crying over your needs because God has given you His Word. All you need do is to take from it whatever you desire for your life.

For example, if you’ve been told by the doctors that you will never have children because of some complications in your womb. Don’t cry, because the solution is in the Word! Search through your Bible for a Word that directly deals with your case and begin to declare the same. Before long, the situation will change because the Word doesn’t fail.

Don’t let your senses or the situation lie to you, God’s Word is more real than both. God gave you His Word so you can use it to chart the course of your life. It makes no difference what your need is, as long as there is provision for it in the Word, it’s yours! This is why you must begin to study the Word like never before and be full of it.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! Your Word prevails in my life and it causes me to triumph over every situation I face. Your Word in my mouth is as fire and hammer that breaks rocks into pieces, it destroys every situation that’s inconsistent with Your desire, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32)

Detail - Glory of the New Born Christ in prese...

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32)

The Word of God liberates men from the bondage of sin, condemnation, sickness, poverty, discouragement and failure; it is the liberating truth. However, you can only walk in the liberty that you know. You see, that a slave was set free doesn’t mean he’ll enjoy his liberty. This is because liberation begins from the mind; there must be a change in his way of thinking to have any lasting change in his lifestyle. In the same vein, though man was liberated legally from the shackles of satan more than two thousand years ago, he may not enjoy his liberty vitally until he accepts, understands and endorses the legal document that guarantees his freedom; that document is The Word of God!

It’s my pleasure to announce to you today that condemnation, sin, every form of sickness, poverty, failure, discouragement and death are no longer alive in you. Sin and death have no hold on you anymore, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). The Bible says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1), so lose yourself from the bondage of condemnation. You have been liberated from sickness, for by the stripes of Christ, you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). You are no longer “The poor trying to be rich,” because the Bible says, “For ye know the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Jesus Christ suffered, died and resurrected to give you life. There are no chains binding you anymore, for you’re born free in Christ, so get the truth and make yourself free; get to know the purpose of His suffering, death and resurrection! Always remember that “Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped” (Psalm 124:7).

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, You have brought me into Your Kingdom of free men through Your Son Jesus Christ and by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I refuse to be entangled again with any yoke of bondage. Therefore, I ask that You open my eyes to Your Word and strengthen my faith thereby, so I may stand fast in the liberty that we have in Christ Jesus, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Do not yield to the devil’s accusations

The Temptation of Christ, 1854

Do not yield to the devil’s accusations

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night” (Revelation 12:10)

One of the devil’s key strategies is to keep people in bondage to their past by reminding them of their sins. He’ll haunt you with the thoughts and pictures of your wrongs. He’ll always tell you how useless you are and give you more than enough reasons why you would fail in life.

But you shouldn’t allow the devil give you a bad day through his railing accusations. God’s calling upon your life was clearly stated before the world began; He already determined that you should be a success in life. Remember that one of satan’s title is “the accuser of the brethren”, and he is an expert at it because he’s been at it a long time.

There are Christians today who have lost faith and stopped going to church all because they did something wrong. I wonder if they realized that their solution was in God’s Word; “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

In Romans 6:14, God says, “Sin shall not have dominion over you.” So when you do something wrong, don’t let it have dominion over you. Don’t stay there wishing your world would come to an end. Your sins have been removed from your life, as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). God has dumped them into the abyss.

If the devil reminds you of your past, you remind him of his future (Revelation 20:10). Refuse to be weighed down by the failures of your past, and begin to declare your glorious future in Christ Jesus. Understand this: God loves you! If He loved you while you were yet a sinner, how much more now that you are His child (Romans 5:8).

Confession:

I have been delivered from the bondage of sin, hence, it cannot dominate me. My heart is established upon the Word of God; therefore, I’m not moved by the devil’s schemes and accusations.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Let your dream in life be for people to see Jesus Christ in you

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Let your dream in life be for people to see Jesus Christ in you.

Read:  1 Timothy 3:15

Jesus is The Word, The Truth Of God, made flesh. The Bible describes Him as the reflection of God’s glory and the exact likeness of His being (Hebrews 1:3). In other words, when He walk the streets of Jerusalem, He was the perfect representation of God’s personality. The truth is still moving upon the face of the earth today through you and I.

The Bible described the Church of Jesus Christ as the pillar and ground of truth (1 Timothy 3:15). We’re the expression or representation of truth for we’re the temples of the living God (1 Corinthians 6:19). Therefore, we’re responsible for delivering men and women around the world into their inheritance in Christ Jesus and liberating them from every form of bondage. We were made to teach, preach and reveal the truth.

For example, when you truly understand who you really are in Christ, you’ll never condemn anyone, for the truth will never reject or condemn anyone. You can’t change people by dwelling on their faults; it’s only the truth that changes a man. The truth liberates, heals and imparts life. When you realize you’re the custodian of eternal verities, you’ll never stop preaching the message of salvation to the sinner, for you may be the only “Jesus” he’ll ever come in contact with.

As a Christian, you are the revelation of the truth of God; you carry in you the solution to every need in a man’s life. So, you see, you have a great responsibility to your world. Just as John The Baptist said in John 3:30, “He must increase but I must decrease,” let your dream in life be for people to see Jesus Christ in you. The time is indeed short, therefore, “….make every minute count” (Ephesians 5:16 CEV); the salvation of many depends on you.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing Your Son in and through me to my world. Guide my steps towards those who are in dire need of Your liberating truth; let its light radiate through me to break every yoke off their lives. Let Your Spirit set them afire for Your Kingdom, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God‘s will is to lead you on a day-by-day basis. He’s given His Spirit to guide you every day.

Most believers don’t know that. They expect God to reveal His complete will for their lives in one big revelation. Don’t make that mistake. Don’t just sit around waiting for God to show you whether or not He wants you to go to Africa for the rest of your life.

Let Him begin to lead you in little things first, to tell you what you need to do about this situation or that one. He’ll show you what you need to change. And, as He does, you’ll change one thing at a time.

The truth is, you probably already know one thing God wants you to do. You might not know why He wants you to do it. You may not know where it’s leading, but you’ve heard His voice in your heart.

If you want to keep on hearing Him, you’ll have to set aside your own ambitions and desires. Spend time in prayer and in the Word. Tune your ear to the voice of His Spirit.

Learn to trust Him. Remember that He’s smarter than you are and be willing to do what He says whether you can understand it with your mind or not. Obey even His smallest instructions. If you do, He’ll eventually change your whole life…one little step at a time.

Life Of Praise And Thanksgiving

Life of praise and thanksgiving

“And being not weak in faith, he (Abraham) considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:19-20)

True Christianity is a supernatural life of faith in God’s Word. When you’re operating by the principles of faith, you’ll always be giving glory to God. You’ll always be thankful and grateful to Him, not for what you expect Him to do, but for all He’s already done, because you’ve come to understand that there’s absolutely nothing that He hasn’t done for you yet. This understanding makes your life that of praise and thanksgiving; you glorify God every day, everywhere and at all times.

In your life, you must learn how to look out only for that which gives God glory. So, instead of looking for your sickness; look for your healing. Some people are quick to rush to the doctor at the slightest pain or discomfort in their body. Such folks are looking out for their sickness instead of their healing. That’s not faith, and that doesn’t glorify God.

If, for example, there’s a swelling somewhere in your body; don’t talk about how persistent the growth is and complain about the pain. Instead, choose to see that it’s reducing and the pain gone. Then, begin to give glory to God for your healing. If you have a child that’s not been able to walk, and one morning you wake up to discover that there’s some form of movement in the child’s legs; the legs has moved and changed position, don’t wait till you can see the child perfectly walking and running around before you start giving glory to God. The right thing to do is to begin immediately to thank God that the child can walk! Faith gives glory to God!

For you to move from one level of glory to a higher level, you have to speak according to God’s Word. You have to talk yourself to that place where you want to be. If they’ve refused to promote you in your place of work; don’t be sad. Promotion doesn’t come from the east, west or from the south. It comes from God (Psalm 75:6). Therefore talk yourself to the top. Use your mouth. Keep declaring your promotion; your miracle is in your mouth. Don’t stagger at the promise of God through unbelief.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You and praise Your Holy Name for Your glory is manifested in my life continually. Help me to see only the fulfilment of Your Word and the manifestation of Your power in my life, so that my life may be full of praise and thanksgiving, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God hears your cries no matter how many times you mess up. He is rich in mercy

God hears your cries no matter how many times you mess up. He is rich in mercy

Read: Psalm 147:3

Have you ever done something for your children when you know they didn’t deserve it, but you did it anyway? Why? Because you love them.

Take for example the children of Israel. They were in bondage. And they began to cry out, and God heard their cry. He remembered His covenant, and sent Moses to deliver them out of that bondage. It wasn’t long after God delivered them out of Egypt, that they were breaking covenant again. They were rebellious. They were disobedient. That same curse came on them, and they were in bondage again. As a matter of fact, most of their lives they were in bondage.

You might be asking: “How does this relate to me?”

Well, you may have cried out to God and He delivered you, but then you found yourself back in the same boat of rebellion and disobedience again. You most likely, feel bondage in your life. Rebellion and disobedience will produce bondage and oppression. But thank God His mercy endures forever!

God hears your cries no matter how many times you mess up. He is rich in mercy. He will pick you up every time you call on His Name. He loves you. He wants the best for your life. He wants you free from this bondage.

Just like you with your kids. God loves you. He does not want you in bondage. Jesus came to set you free from bondage. God’s best is for you to experience God’s favour in your life. It doesn’t matter what you have done. God will pour out your mercy and love on you.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!
