Matthew 28. The Resurrection Of Our LORD And Saviour  Jesus Christ

1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. 9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. 15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Unstoppable Generation 1 Peter 2:9-12 By Pastor Abioye Olaoluwa, RCCG National Youth Prayer Coordinator

From the beginning of the world till now there had been several generations and every generation answers to the name it’s called.

In Joshua 2:16-18, a generation of sword – men who believed in the God of their fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob even Moses and pledge their allegiance to Joshua. They did inherit the promise land and prosper therein.

But another generation arose in Judges 2:10;15, which knew neither the ordinances of God nor the ancient landmarks of their fathers. The result was that they did evil in God’s sight and He handed them over to their enemies. According to proverbs 30:11-14;

A

There is a generation who disregard and show less appreciation to their parents and leaders, of course; evil birds plucked out their eyes. Samson. Judges 13-16.

B

There is a self – righteous generation which relies so much on themselves but less of God. Alas! Their filthy – rag righteousness tore the kingdom away from them and they died  the death of fools. Saul, 1 Kings 9-16

C

There is a generation of the proud and haughty, who believe all about life is by achievement and discoveries of men, without the knowledge and obedience towards God. They too soon discover like Solomon that all will end in vanity. Ecclesiastes 12:8

D

Another generation is that of the greedy, who trade the anointing and the grace of God for material benefits and hold lightly the holy things, they too soon end up like Gehazi, who got more than what he bargained for. He got so wealthy but too leprosy too enjoy the wealth. 2 Kings 5:27

E

There is an evil and adulterous generation who seek for signs without any interest in the God of Wonders Himself, they soon end like Hophni and Phinehas, who carried the Ark of God without God in the Ark.

To mention just few, there is also a Faithless Generation, who believed they are not better than their fathers, forgetting that God’s promise is that the latter glory shall surpass the former. Unless they retrace their steps and brace up they soon will hear what Elijah heard “………And anoint Elisha son of Shaphat, from Abel Meholah as prophets to take your place” 1 Kings 19:16

But what God is looking for is an “UNSTOPPABLE GENERATION!” those who will cover mountains like thunder clouds, blaze the trails like ministers of fire. At whose sight, the LORD’s enemies will melt and scatter.

They are to be so focused and purposeful that they won’t break ranks, trained commandoes of the Most High with accuracy and precision, ready for the end time revival. (Joel 2:1-10)

Like the 300 foxes whose tails were tied and set on fire by Samson, they shall set the whole world on fire with the Gospel of Truth and Grace, till Jesus Christ’s enemies get under His feet. (Judges 15:4-5).

While on their knees like Elijah, the earth controls the heavens and with their praise like Jehoshaphat armies, victories are won gallantly (1 Kings 17:1 and 2 Chronicles 20). They are Generation of face seeker and not hand seekers, whose heart is fixed like David to worship God in the beauty of His Holiness (Psalms 24:1-6)

Like Daniel and the three Hebrews who rejected the Kings’ meat, who no intimidation of the world, its rulers and worldly affairs can quiet them. Either in the furnace or the lion’s den they enjoy divine presence. (Daniel 1-6).

Just as Peter and his co-apostles turned the world upside down the right side up for God, they are ready to witness and not disobey the Heavenly vision before the high and the mighty in word and in power. Like Paul before Agrippa (Acts of the Apostles).

They shall be good examples like Timothy to others in word, conversation, charity, spirit and faith, all done in purity (1 Timothy 4:12)

But will submit to the Will of God, hating sin with passion like our LORD Jesus Christ, who obeyed the Father with humility, unconditional love towards the sinners with a sacrificial life.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

A generation simply refers to all of the people who were born at approximately the same time, considered as a group, and especially when considered as having shared interests and attitudes.

From scriptures, each generation of people is associated with a particular trait or attitude that differentiates them from other generations. There is the Evil Generation (Deuteronomy 1:35; Luke 11:29);  The Crooked Generation (Deuteronomy 32:5); The Froward Generation (Deuteronomy 32:20); The Stubborn and Rebellious Generation (Psalm 78:8); The Adulterous Generation (Matthew 12:39); The Wicked Generation (Matthew 12:45); The Perverse Generation (Matthew 17:17; Luke 9:41); The Sinful Generation (Mark 8:38); The Faithless Generation (Mark 9:19); The God Seeking Generation (Psalm 24:6); and the Unstoppable Generation otherwise known as the Joshua Generation (Joshua 1:1,5) also Known as the Chosen Generation (1 Peter 2:9).

After the death of Moses, God raised up a new generation of army led by Joshua who could not be stopped or withstood by any man or force on their way to fulfilling their God given mandate and mission. They are referred to as the Joshua Generation or The Unstoppable Generation. River Jordan and the wall of Jericho could not stop them. Not even the sin at Ai could stop them. When the sin was revealed, they repented, restituted, and repositioned themselves for greater exploit. The youths of this generation are charged with the same mandate in going to the ends of the earth in promoting, propagating and propelling the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ wherever they operate. They are destined to go, grow, and glow for Christ where ever they operate from. We are the youth of this generation. Satan will not stop us; sin will not stop us.

We are of the generation of believers who cannot be stopped by any man or force in our quest to do the will and work of God, in the way of God in this end time era. Indeed the whole earth will quake and tremble before this Unstoppable Generation of youths according to Joel 2:1-10.you can be a part of this Unstoppable Generation of youths by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal LORD and Saviour and participate in the task of: Exalting The Saviour; Evangelising the sinners; and Equipping the Saints, for  the purpose of possessing the land which the LORD has given us.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God Wants to Call You His Friend Today!

James 2:23 “And the scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham

believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness”; and

he was called the friend of God”

Would you believe that God, your Creator actually desires to call

you friend. Well, already He calls you friend by the mere

accepting of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. However there is a

greater invitation into that title. Looking at Abraham’s life we

see that the one way he pleased God was in trusting Him and

taking Him upon His word for what He promised Abraham. That made

Abraham a friend of God. Let God call you His friend by wholly

trusting in Him and obeying His voice. Amen!

God’s Grace

God’s Grace

Memorise: And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. 2 Corinthians 9:14

Read: Ephesians 2:5-9

Besides mercy, God is unlimited in grace. Ephesians2:8 says:

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

For anyone to be saved, two elements – grace and faith must be combined or else that effort of asking for forgiveness and mercy as a sinner will be fruitless. No matter how much faith a sinner has when he or she comes to God for salvation, if grace is not released on the part of God, there can be no forgiveness. This tells us that God must play His part as we play ours. In hell, sinners in their billions are crying out for mercy and forgiveness. Many of them have faith that they can be forgiven – in fact, the faith some of them are expressing can be termed great faith, even beyond the faith we express; yet, with all their faith and intensive, repeated, agonising prayer for forgiveness and pardon, because grace is absent, forgiveness is not released. Now that grace is available, utilise it fast for a time will come when men and women will not be able to access this grace that comes only through Jesus Christ (John 1:1 7).

God’s grace is abundant (Romans 5:17). This grace is not only abundant but can be exceeding in the life of some people (2 Corinthians9:14). Grace is one way God makes up for our short comings. Grace covers our human frailties. Through grace, God uses our very limited strength and resources to do the impossible. This He does by adding His own strength and resources to ours. With grace, your lack, limitations, and defects are fully covered. When you have exceeding grace, it means God’s provision far exceeds your need. Grace is in action at those times the Holy Spirit helps us to pray in accordance with God’s will when we do not know how to pray (Romans 8:26-27). When you have prayed, fasted and tried without measuring up to standard, then it is time to fall back on His grace. Grace can be accessed at varying measures. To some people grace may be unavailable, to some only a little, while some will have abundance and for some others, grace will outstrip their needs. What level of grace do you have access to? If you want to Access extreme levels of grace, do not frustrate God’s grace upon you, do not waste it and do not become a silo of grace, but rather, be a channel of grace. Always use grace for the purpose it is given to you. Be gracious to others. Be generous. Live a holy life.

KEY POINT

God’s grace is available for you at the time of your need, go boldly to Him using the finished work of Calvary as a cover.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Matthew 1. The Ancestor Of Jesus Christ

Matthew 1. The Ancestor Of Jesus Christ

1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. 2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren; 3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; 4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon; 5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; 6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; 7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa; 8 And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias; 9 And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias; 10 And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias; 11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: 12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel; 13 And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; 14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; 15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; 16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. 17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Good Success (Sermon Note)

Good Success (Sermon Note)

Introduction:

Success is relative and measurable. Even as Christians, there is a lot that we can do ourselves to aid our success in many areas. This is why our focus in this teaching is to examine the role of ideas and the importance of setting goals in the attainment of success. May the LORD Himself teach us through His Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Bible Passage: Genesis 11: 1-9 (Tower of Babel)

IDEA

  1. A plan for action, A design.
  2. A Visible representation of a conception.
  3. A formulated thought or opinion.
  4. It is all about image, conception, impression, mind’s eye, notion, picture, thought.

GOAL

  1. The terminal point of a race
  2. The end towards which efforts is directed, such as an AIM. Thus, in a football field, the goal is an area or object toward which players attempt to advance a ball to score points.
  3. It is all about aim, ambition, aspiration, dream, objective, purpose or target.
  1. A.    Success is an idea- 1 Corinthians 2:16
    1. A goal is an objective you want to achieve. A plan is a specific way of reaching that goal. Both goals and plans are IDEAS in your head.
    2. Everything you see around you in the world is an IDEA, and except where it is part of nature, it began as an idea in somebody’s mind. 1 Corinthians2:16, Christians have the mind of Christ.
    3. All tangible object began as goals, plans, or ideas in the minds of people.
    4. If your mind can see it, your hands can have it – Mark 9:23; Philippians 4:13

  1. B.     Success begins by setting goals – Habakkuk 2:2
    1. Success is better attained when goals are set – Habakkuk 2:2
    2. Take it one step at a time – Isaiah 28:10
    3. Human beings started as an idea – Genesis 1:26. The idea of man thus was to replicate something in the IMAGE and likeness of God. The GOAL of making man is to have dominion on earth and all that is in it – Genesis 1:26-28.
    4. Faith as an idea, starts small (as mustard seed) with Salvation, later on it grows into Sanctification, Baptism in the Holy Spirit and then into power, for healing, to cast and conquer demons, for prosperity, etc, the ultimate goal being to make Heaven.
    5. Learn to start small and grow big, over time – Job 8:7; Ecclesiastes 7:8.
    6. Start with five goals and write them down. Pray over them – Proverbs 19:21.

  1. C.    Success involves determination – Genesis 11:1-9
    1. You can be what you determine – Genesis 11:3; Genesis 1:26; Genesis 11:6
    2. Determination can change even failure to success – 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
    3. Determination can keep you on the path of righteousness – Daniel 1:8
    4. Take stock of your abilities, your talents, inclinations, assets and strong points, which you can develop into something useful.
    5. Disciple your abilities for maximum usefulness – 1 Corinthians 9:27. Success demands foresight and industry, it responds to thoughts and care.
    6. Thorough preparation is imperative if we are to use our capabilities to the fullest – Luke 14:28-33.
    7. Have a definite sense of purpose. Don’t beat around copying people’s plan or allowing them to distract you – 2 Kings 2:1-22.
    8. Put your talents to work, because in using them, you develop them. Matthew 25:14-46
  1. Good success must be godly
    1. For success to be godly, motive must be right – 2 Chronicles 25:2.
    2. Good success must accord with the Will of God – Isaiah 14:12-16.
    3. For success to be good, it must be holistic – 3 John 2; Mark 8:36

Conclusion: The Ultimate success of a believer is through Jesus Christ – John 15:5B (for without me ye can do nothing).

Altar Call: You need to have Jesus to succeed!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Philippians 2 (Christ’s Humility and Greatness)

Philippians 2 (Christ’s Humility And Greatness)

Holy Bible. New Living Translation

1Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?
2Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

3Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
4Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

5You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

6Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.

7Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,

8  he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

9Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honour
and gave him the name above all other names,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

12Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
13For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

14Do everything without complaining and arguing,
15so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.
16Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.
17But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy.
18Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy.

19If the Lord Jesus is willing, I hope to send Timothy to you soon for a visit. Then he can cheer me up by telling me how you are getting along.
20I have no one else like Timothy, who genuinely cares about your welfare.
21All the others care only for themselves and not for what matters to Jesus Christ.
22But you know how Timothy has proved himself. Like a son with his father, he has served with me in preaching the Good News.
23I hope to send him to you just as soon as I find out what is going to happen to me here.
24And I have confidence from the Lord that I myself will come to see you soon.

25Meanwhile, I thought I should send Epaphroditus back to you. He is a true brother, co-worker, and fellow soldier. And he was your messenger to help me in my need.
26I am sending him because he has been longing to see you, and he was very distressed that you heard he was ill.
27And he certainly was ill; in fact, he almost died. But God had mercy on him—and also on me, so that I would not have one sorrow after another.

28So I am all the more anxious to send him back to you, for I know you will be glad to see him, and then I will not be so worried about you.
29Welcome him with Christian love and with great joy, and give him the honour that people like him deserve.
30For he risked his life for the work of Christ, and he was at the point of death while doing for me what you couldn’t do from far away.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

  2. Devil is cunning: Genesis 3:1
  3. He posses: Luke 22:3 (Judas Iscariot)

I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit, and according to Romans 10:9 , “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt e saved”, I declare that I am saved; I am born again; I am a child of God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world! I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus, Amen!

But Now! God is waiting to hear from you!

But Now! God is waiting to hear from you!

Isaiah 59:2 says: “Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.

When you lived under sin, God’s ears were deaf to your cries, as this scripture clearly tells you. John 9:31 says: “Now we know that God does not hear sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does His will, him He hears.”

I want to encourage you to remember that before you came to Christ, your sins and iniquities caused the heavens to be brass, but now Heaven is open for you. The Bible tells us that God sent forth His Son, and that Jesus was made to be sin for you when He knew no sin, so that you could be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Your sins once separated you from God and caused His ears to be closed, but now because of Jesus Christ, the heavens are open, and God’s ears are open to your prayers. Think about that.
God is waiting to hear from you!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Glorious Generation (Sermon Note)

Introduction

Gory is part of the excellence of God. Thus, the chosen of God do normally reveal His glory in all areas of their lives. In this study, we shall examine the way God reveal His glory in the lives of His chosen ones, from one generation to another. May the Lord Himself teach us through His Holy Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen!

Bible Passage:            Genesis 12:1-3

Abraham

God deliberately chose Abraham to separate him from others and to bless him – Genesis 12:1. Abraham had no input in the divine choice – Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8

Once Abraham accepted God’s invitation, God’s manifested upon him and his generations to follow. Abraham became the first recorded rich and wealthy man in the Bible – Genesis 13:2; 24:34-35; 14:14.

God has also made these riches available to us and our generation through Jesus Christ2 Corinthians 8:9; Job 36; 3 John 2; Psalms 37:25.

The glory of God upon Abraham did not allow him to be sick on any single occasion in all recorded history. That was possible because God was his great physician – Exodus 15:26; Psalms 105:37; Deuteronomy 7:15.

The promise of God was fulfilled in the life of Abraham – Genesis 17:19; Genesis 21:1-3.

God has glorious promises for us all – Jeremiah 29:11-13; Job 22:23-30.

Abraham ended well – Genesis 25-8. This is the lot of all chosen people of God – Job 5:26.

Isaac

He was a child of promise, specially chosen – Genesis 15:4; Genesis 17:19.

The glory of God manifested in the life of Isaac in all areas – Genesis 26:12-14 – the glory of God continued in the life of Isaac after Abraham.

Isaac ended well – Genesis 35:29.

The glory of God continued to Isaac’s generation and was extended to Jacob, his chosen son.

Jacob

Just as God picked Abraham from among many in the land of Ur, as He picked Isaac over his brother Ishmael, God chose Jacob over Esau – Genesis 25:23. Jacob became very great indeed.

We are now the glorious generations of Abraham, who are qualified to partake of his blessings and the promises of God to him. 1 Kings 8:56-58; Joshua 24:15; Numbers 23:19; Romans 4:20-21; Mark 9:23; Isaiah 3:10-11.

Conclusion: To be able to access the blessings of Abraham, you must be in Christ.

Jesus Christ Is Standing At the Door Of Our Hearts

It is humbling to imagine that even in His heavenly glory, Christ knocks on the doors of our hearts, asking to come in. If we open that door, we will stand before Him. What a glorious moment. There is an old song that speaks of the comfort we find when we stand before God and with God.

When I stand with God, no raging storm shall ever shake me
When I stand with Him, the cares of life can never break me
For when I’m crying He dries my tears
When I’m frightened He hides my fears
All my sorrows disappear
When I stand with Him.

We have the assurance that in the storms of life, Jesus Himself will be standing with us. He is waiting to share our sorrows and to renew our courage.

Billy Graham (Excerpted from Storm Warning)

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Blood of Jesus Christ

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

The Blood of Jesus Christ

How much more . . . will the blood of Christ . . . cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death.

Hebrews 9:14, NIV

Do you know people who arrogantly insist that if their good works outweigh their bad works, God is somehow obligated to accept them? As you look around, what “fruit” do you see others bringing to the place of sacrifice instead of humbly approaching God through the blood of His Son? The “fruit” of

religious activity,

good works,

morality,

or philanthropy?

Many people do not want to come to the place of sacrifice, the Cross of Jesus Christ, because it intensifies the conviction of their own sin and judgment and is a reminder that heaven’s gate is closed to sinners. God warns that “a man is not justified by observing the law,” (Gal. 2:16, NIV) because “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” of sin (Heb. 9:22, NIV). So humble yourself, come to the Cross, and thank God for the blood of Jesus that is sufficient to forgive any and all sin

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Believe in yourself.

Believe in yourself

For we are God’s (Own) handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, (born anew) that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us…. (Ephesians 2:10 AMP).

One of the biggest and most mind-blowing truths of the gospel, ever to be communicated to us from the Word of God is that as Christians, we’re actually God’s own handiwork. We’re His reproduction; His perfectly crafted and excellently created masterpiece. When you know this, you’ll believe in yourself, and value yourself more. In your life, never think failure! God has never made a failure; therefore, you should not fail.

You were created for success and the good life. Sickness, poverty, disease, death and the down-life are not consistent with your true nature and identity; therefore never condescend to their level. God made you for His glory; you’re a wonder – a product of divine orchestration and a miracle going somewhere to happen! You’re God’s dream come true; so, never look down on yourself.

It doesn’t matter what others call you; what matter is what you call yourself, because of what God has called you and made you. He has made you rich, healthy, victorious, super-intelligent and influential. Therefore, say, “Yes Lord, I am what you say I am. I believe in what you’re made to be. I believe in my prosperity, health, success, promotion and increase. I see myself making progress and moving forward.” You’re God’s best. God gave birth to you in order to show you off as the crown of all His creation (James 1:18 MSG). You’re first-class of all His creation; called to display His virtues and perfections. Therefore, see the future, and see your greatness! See God using you to do great and mighty things and touching lives all over the world. You were made for His glory and perfected all over the world. You were made for His glory and perfected for the good life; therefore believe in yourself.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly father! Thank You for creating me in Your image and in Your likeness. Your nature of success, prosperity and excellence is in me. Let Your Spirit stir up the desire and drive in me that I may continually walk in the good works of excellence for which I was ordained, in Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

It’s time for your miracle

It’s time for your miracle

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Luke 11:10)

I have good news from the LORD for you today. The message is that you should get ready, for you are a qualified candidate for a miracle. “How do I qualify for it?” you may want to ask. You were qualified the moment you believed in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is the real miracle worker; He is the Healer.

When you trust the LORD for a miracle, He’ll certainly give it to you. You see, the LORD specializes in doing miracles and He always want His children to live fulfilled lives. Our LORD Jesus said to His disciples, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” (John 15:11). Then in John 16:24 He says, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” So you see, He wants His joy to be in you and He wants your joy to be made full. He wants you to ask Him for a miracle today. Whether it’s in your finances, academics, marriage or health, it makes no difference to Him at all for He can do anything for you. Always remember, He loves you so very much!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I have received Your Word today. Therefore, I receive my healing, financial increase, restoration and everything I desire from you, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The darker the night, the brighter the light

The darker the night, the brighter the light

For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmuring and disputing: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:13-15)

If you observe the trend around the world today, it’s though man has finally descended into the deepest depth of corruption, moral decadence and wickedness. Amidst all these, the Bible assures us of victory for we’re not subject to the circumstances of this world; we’re born of the Spirit of God.

We need to learn to think smartly and wisely because of the day we’re living in. we need to realize that the corruption, insincerity or wickedness around us isn’t any problem for us; we must see it as our opportunity. “Opportunity for what?” you may ask. They are your opportunities to show forth the glory of your heavenly Father. If there was no Goliath, there would have been no David. The Word of God would always prevail; it would triumph in any system of government. So, never think the government policies or unfavourable economic conditions are designed to destroy you. If you live by the Word of God there is no government policy or economic system on earth that can beat you.

You have to realize that the darker the night, the more brightly your light shines. Don’t become like them, or talk like them and don’t succumb to their way of doing business. The more evil and the corruption, the brighter your light shines. Jesus said you are the salt of the earth and again He said, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid”   (Matthew 5:14).

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You for making me a city that’s set upon a hill and for causing my light to shine in such a way that my world is illuminated with righteousness and the knowledge of Your Word. I ask that You cause Your light to shine more and more through me to chase away every work of darkness in my sphere of contact, in Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…….” (Act 1:8)

The Holy Spirit Is The Power Giver!

The Holy Spirit is the power of God. If you have received Him into your life, then you’ve received power; He is the power-giver. He gives you the inherent, dynamic ability to cause changes. He gives you the divine enablement to accomplish any task and change any hopeless situation. Happy are you if you’ve received the Holy Spirit into your life! It means you can never be disadvantaged anymore. It has become impossible for you to be a victim in life.

Here, Jesus Christ lets us know the source of true power, and how we can receive that power into our lives. It is by receiving the Holy Spirit – He is the embodiment of all power. Many people are seeking for power in the wrong places; how sad! There’s no power in the occult or in any of the religions of the world. There’s no power outside of the Holy Spirit. The question is, have you received Him into your life? Have you been born again? If you have, then you don’t need any other power. The power-Giver Himself lives in you. No wonder the apostle Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ……” (Philippians 4:13); he didn’t say, “O God I pray that You’ll give me power to do all things”. The power you need is the Holy Spirit. This is why it’s compulsory for every Christian to receive the Holy Spirit.

If you want the glory of God to be seen in your life and you want to walk in dominion over the devil, sickness, disease, infirmities and death, then you must have the Holy Spirit. When you have Him, you have all the power you’ll ever need to effect changes in your world. No matter the challenges you face in life, tell yourself, “This is bread for me; I have the power to crush every adversity. Nothing is impossible with me; I can change hopeless situations because I’m anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power”

Confession:

Thank You Heavenly Father for anointing me with the Holy Spirit and with power; I recognize that I have the ability to cause the changes I desire because the Holy Spirit in me is the power giver. Therefore, I’m not moved by the things I can see, feel or perceive by my senses because they are all subject to change; the things which are seen are temporal but the unseen things are eternal!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The righteousness which is by faith

Blessed Are They Who Hunger And Thirst For Rig...

The righteousness which is by faith

“………Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness” (Romans 4:3)

The righteousness of the Law of Moses was based on works. However, the righteousness which is by the faith of Jesus Christ was credited to your account when you were born again; this righteousness excludes works. In other words, it’s not based on the works of the Law or your good actions. It’s not based on how good and nice you’ve been, but on faith. It has nothing to do with what you did and what you didn’t do, for it’s the result of what Christ has done.

Sadly, some Christians are still trying to be righteous, holy, and pleasing to God! They are struggling to be what they already are. They’re trying to possess what God already said belongs to them. The Bible says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ(Romans 5:1). That means you’re already righteous, hence, you don’t need to struggle to be righteous.

There are people who believe that their good works will answer for them in life. They think they rank highly with God because they don’t do anything wrong. The righteousness which is by faith doesn’t rely on your good works but on your faith in the God that justifies the ungodly (Romans 4:5). I’m talking about the One that saved Rahad, the prostitute. All Rahad did was to believe in the God that justifies the ungodly and embrace the righteousness of God.

You may be reading this blog and you’ve committed many sins in your life. You’ve lied, cheated, done a lot of terrible things, and made a lot of mistakes. Well, you don’t need to cry, feel condemned, or keep brooding over all the wrong things you’ve done! We have a God that justifies the ungodly. Just believe in Him! Believe in the cleansing power of blood of Jesus Christ; that blood is still effective today.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! My heart is anchored on Your Word and I refuse to yield to the distractions of the enemy. Help me to keep my focus and confidence rooted in the cleansing power of the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and not in my good works, in Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

There is no higher authority than God

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

There is no higher authority than God

God’s Judicial Authority

“I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth.” (Matthew 28:18)

A judge, above all else, must have authority. Our government endows judges with authority through the oath they take to execute justice. The law enforcement and prison systems back up the judge’s authority. The robe that he wears, and having everyone in the courtroom stand as he enters, help to emphasize that authority. His gavel and his elevated seat in the courtroom show that he commands the proceedings.
Similarly, God, as the Creator, has the authority to do whatever He deems best with His creation. He is the potter; we are the clay. His throne is high above us in the heavens. His pronouncements are final. There is no higher authority than God.
God will judge every wrong act ever committed, every sinful motive, every evil word. The sentence for these crimes is eternal separation from God and His holiness.
But there are those who will live in safety with God. These are the ones who have accepted Christ‘s payment for our sin when He died on the cross. Our loving Saviour, Jesus Christ, paid the sentence pronounced by the Perfect Judge. God sees these “sinners saved by grace” as righteous in His courtroom. Therefore, they will live eternally in the love, peace, and joy of God’s presence.

Are you ready to stand before the Perfect Judge who has all authority? Remember, God’s standard of justice is perfection. Will He see your shortcomings, or will He see Jesus’ perfect sacrifice? It’s your choice.
