The Word Of God Is The Most Powerful Force Ever Released

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,)
before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and
calleth those things which be not as though they were

Romans 4:17

The most powerful thing in the universe is not some chemical, atomic, nuclear, or hydrogen weapon of mass destruction. No, the most powerful
force ever released in the history of the universe is the Word of God!
God’s Word stands forever, and it is the prime creative force of the
God who calls things into being. God’s Word creates! God’s Word lives!

I am thankful that satan wasn’t a student of prophecy. Satan didn’t
understand what was happening during the thirty-three years Jesus was
on the earth. God gave the devil fair warning in Genesis 3:15, but he
just didn’t get it. Had the princes of this world truly understood
God’s Word, they never would have crucified the Lord of Glory.

When satan and his human allies killed Jesus, they became the victims
of God’s master strategy. Satan thought he had Jesus where He wanted
him when the final battle began in the Garden of Gethsemane, but they
didn’t know that they were about to be stripped of the keys of death,
hell and the grave! When all was said and done, Jesus was the one to
whom all power had been given! Hallelujah!

Prayer for Today

Father,
You are all-powerful! You are almighty! Thank you for your Spirit who
lives and reigns in me to help me live victorious over all the evil
strategies satan places in my way. In Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed

Matthew 6:31

MATTHEW 6:25-34

Jesus is commanding us not to worry or be anxious about our material needs being met. It would be impossible to have no thought whatsoever about our physical needs. Even Jesus thought about His need for money to pay taxes (Mt. 17:24-27). We are simply not to be preoccupied with thinking about riches or spending our time worrying about necessities. These things will be added unto us as we seek first the Kingdom of God.

The way we take or receive an anxious thought is by speaking it. Doubtful thoughts will come, but we do not sin until we entertain them. According to this verse, speaking forth these thoughts is one way of entertaining them; therefore, don’t speak forth these negative thoughts.

It is imperative that we watch the words we say. Begin to speak words in faith that line up with God’s Word, then positive results will follow. If we speak words of doubt, we will eventually believe them and have the negative things that these words produce. There are no such things as “idle” words which will not work for or against us. Death or life is in the power of every word we speak (Prov. 18:21). Our words can be our most powerful weapon against the devil, or they can become a snare of the devil (Prov. 6:2).

Today watch your words. Speak only things that will express your faith, trust, and confidence in the Lord and not your fear about the situations you face.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled

Matthew 5:6

Healing begins when you do something. God’s help is near and always available, but it’s given to those who seek it. Healing starts when you take a step. God honours radical, risk-taking faith.

When arks are built, lives are saved. When soldiers march, Jerichos tumble.

When staffs are raised, seas still open. When a lunch is shared, thousands are fed.

And when a garment is touched by the hand of an anemic woman in Galilee—Jesus stops!

He stops and responds.

Compared to God’s part, our part is minuscule—but necessary. We don’t have to do much, but we do have to do something! Faith with no effort is not faith at all!

Write a letter. Ask forgiveness.

Call a counsellor. Call a mom!

Visit a doctor. Be baptized.

Feed a hungry person.

Pray. Teach. Go.

God honours radical, risk-taking faith. And He will respond.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Are you the faithful steward?

Luke 12:42 “And the Lord said “who then is that faithful & wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?”

God needs people whom He can work with to get His Will done here on earth. He needs someone who will be faithful and act on His Word. Someone who is alert to the move of the Holy Spirit, knows His Word and will be obedient to it. God needs people He can count on, whom He can trust over His household.

Are you the faithful steward?

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon

MATTHEW 6:24

          MATTHEW 6:22-24

SINGLENESS OF VISION

Jesus is speaking of spiritual vision. If we keep our attention (eye) single upon Jesus, the Word, then all that we will be filled with is the light of His Word (Jn. 1:1-14; Ps. 119:105). The key to victory is this singleness of purpose (Phil. 3:13). The strength of the laser lies in the fact that all of the light is concentrated on one single point. Likewise, the strength of the Christian lies in how single his or her vision is upon Jesus, “the author and finisher of our faith.” (Heb. 12:1-3)

You may have God and riches, but you can only serve one of them. In Matthew 6:24, the Lord amplifies this by saying that we cannot serve two masters. Why is this so? Because we do not have the capability of faithfully serving both of them. You will cleave to one more than the other. You cannot serve both with all of your heart. We just don’t have the capacity to do our best in two areas at the same time. God wants singleness of vision, singleness of purpose. He wants us to serve Him with all of our heart.

You may be wondering how you can still make a living without always thinking about money. Where will it come from? How will you get more of it? In verse 33, Jesus goes on to say that He will supply all of your need when you seek first the Kingdom of God. All of these other things (food and clothing etc.) will be added unto you. If we will simply put God and His Kingdom first in every area of our lives, He will add to us all the wealth that we need. It’s when we covet after money that we “pierce ourselves through with many sorrows” (1 Tim. 6:10). Put God to the test today. Put Him first in every area of your life and see if He won’t provide all the other things for you.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:2-3

No Other Gods

There are dozens of “little gods” in disguise in our lives, even if we are Christians, worshipping the one true God.

People’s opinions, our money, appearance, family, friends or entertainment can become other gods we put before God. The devil seeks to deceive us by trying to make us believe that having other gods is limited to worship of another deity instead of God.

God would not see fit to warn us about putting other gods before Him if there were no other gods to be worried about. Nor would He tell us, as He does in Deuteronomy 10:17, that He is the “God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome….”

Who or what is receiving the glory in your life today? Who or what is most important to you, and who or what do you seek to please above all else? If you cannot answer “God” to all of these, then I challenge you to sort through your priorities.

Place Him at the centre of your life and bring yourself back into alignment with this blessed commandment.

Do not be afraid; only believe. Just Trust!

Do not be afraid; only believe. Just Trust!

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Mark 5:36

Like a little child, we often complain how scary it is to walk where we can’t see. We’ve reason to be cautious. We have absolutely no vision beyond the present.

Jairus was the senior religious leader in the synagogue, the best-known citizen in town! But when he approaches Jesus, he’s a blind man begging for a gift.

“My daughter’s dying. Please come! Put your hands on her so she’ll be healed and live!”

Before Jairus gets very far, he’s interrupted by those who tell him “Your daughter is dead. There’s no need to bother the teacher anymore.” But Mark 5:36 says,
“But Jesus paid no attention to what they said.” I love that line! Jesus instead compels Jairus to see the unseen!

“Trust me,” Jesus is pleading. “Don’t be afraid—just trust!”

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God is faithful

God Never Gives Up On Us

One day in 1988, Samuel and Danielle sent their young son, Armand, off to school. Hours later, a powerful earthquake rocked the area. People were trapped under flattened buildings. Kissing his wife, Samuel grabbed his coat and headed for the school. What he saw brought tears to his eyes. Armand’s school was a pile of debris.

Where Armand’s classroom used to be, Samuel began pulling a broken beam off the pile. He picked up a rock and put it to the side, then another, and another. One of the parents looking on asked, “What are you doing?”

“Digging for my son,” Samuel answered.

The man exclaimed, “You’re just going to make things worse! This building is unstable,” and tried to pull Samuel away. Others, including a firefighter, tried to get him to stop, but he would not.

All through the night and into the next day, Samuel continued digging. Finally, a faint “Help!” came from under the rubble. Then the faint voice came again. “Papa?”

He began to dig furiously. Finally, he could see his son. “Come out!” he said with relief.

“I told the other kids not to worry,” Armand said. “I told them that if you were alive, you’d save me and when you saved me, they’d be saved. You promised you’d always be there for me.” Fourteen children were saved that day because one father was faithful.

How much more faithful is our heavenly Father! Whether trapped by fallen debris in an earthquake or trapped by life’s hardships, we are never cut off from His love and faithfulness.

Your View of God Really Matters …

Do you ever wonder if God will be faithful to you, in your circumstances? Meditate on Lamentations 3:22-24. Although this was written to the Israelites after the sacking of Jerusalem, it also speaks to us today of the hope that comes from focusing on who God is.

What More Does God Say?

Psalm 36:5; Deuteronomy 32:1-4

Because God is faithful, I will trust Him to always keep His promises!

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us
NKJV

Romans 5:8

Ephesians 2:4-5

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),”
NKJV

Two of the most important words in the entire Bible are “But God.” You and I were dead in our sins and trespasses… but God. Johnny was an alcoholic and Jane was a heroin addict… but God. The world needs to hear these words… but God. When I see both local and world news, it becomes more and more evident that this world is a mess… but God.

1 Timothy 2:3-4 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” NKJV

We have to step out of our comfort zones and tell people one on one about Jesus. We have to get Bibles into the hands of those who don’t have them or who have never even seen one. We have to show the love of Jesus by bringing the good news to those who have lost hope, to those who are living in the mess that has been made of this world. What mess have you made? God is in the business of fixing messes. God will break through the situation if you’ll allow Him. Maybe you know this. Too often we keep this to ourselves when we should be telling others.

Life Lesson: But God…

Dear Lord,
Thank You for sending Your only Son to die for my sins. Please forgive me for times when I have selfishly kept the light of the Gospel to myself and please give me the courage and desire to tell others about the reason for my hope which is Christ Jesus. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Luke 16:10

Faithful in Least, Faithful in Much

This Scripture doesn’t say, “He that is not faithful.” It says, “He
that is unjust.” If you are not faithful, you are unjust.

God is not going to give you a bonus if you are mishandling what He has
already given you. Many people are living in houses they should not be
living in, driving cars they should not be driving, and wearing clothes
they should not be wearing. They are trying to look prosperous or be
prosperous, but they are doing it the natural way instead of doing it
through the power of God.

If you are working two and three jobs to keep up the appearance of
prosperity, you need to downsize. If you are not being a good steward
over the goods God has given you now, you are preventing God from
making you rich.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!
