Once It Was The Blessing, Now It Is The Lord

Proverbs_10-22: The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it

Proverbs_10-22: The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it

Once It Was The Blessing, Now It Is The Lord
Once It Was The Feeling,
Now It Is His Word
Once His Gifts I Wanted,
Now The Giver Own
Once I Sought For Healing,
Now Himself Alone

All In All Forever
Jesus Will I Sing
Every Thing In Jesus
And Jesus Every Thing

Once ‘Twas Painful Trying,
Now, ‘Tis Perfect Trust
Once A Half Salvation,
Now The Uttermost
Once ‘Twas Ceaseless Holding,
Now He Holds Me Fast
Once ‘Twas Constant Drifting,
Now My Anchor’s Cast

Once ‘Twas Busy Planning,
Now ‘Tis Trustful Prayer
Once ‘Twas Anxious Caring,
Now He Has The Care
Once ‘Twas What I Wanted,
Now What Jesus Says
Once ‘Twas Constant Asking,
Now ‘Tis Ceaseless Praise

Once It Was My Working,
His It Hence Shall Be
Once I Tried To Use Him,
Now He Uses Me
Once The Power I Wanted,
Now The Mighty One
Once For Self I Laboured,
Now For Him Alone.
Amen!

I Love You Dear! In The Hands Of God, My Words Will Be Used Like Nails To Secure My Spouse’s Self-Esteem

I Love You Dear! In The Hands Of God, My Words Will Be Used Like Nails To Secure My Spouse’s Self-Esteem

The words of wise men are like goads, and masters of these collections are like well-driven nails.
Ecclesiastes 12:11

When your marriage relationship hits a trouble spot, it may be difficult to find much to praise about each other. Yet those are the times we need praise the most. So I urge you to initiate praising your spouse. Make it a deliberate effort. Bring the power of positive words to him or her in the midst of trouble.

In the verse above, Solomon gave some very descriptive characteristics of well-spoken words. When you choose to encourage and praise your spouse, your words carry the ability to prod, or goad, him or her in the right direction. And notice the result: Those words become like “well-driven nails,” the kind that secure all types of building projects.

In the hands of God, your words can be used like nails to secure your mate’s self-esteem. Your wise and truthful words bring perspective to his or her life, to your relationship and to your situation as a couple. They make finding solutions to your problems a real possibility.

You may be asking, “What if all this praise goes to my spouse’s head? Won’t he become prideful?” There’s a difference between truthful praise and flattery.

Flattery gratifies a person’s vanity, but praise is based on a person’s character and deeds. When you truthfully praise and applaud your spouse’s choices, you reinforce the value of building godly character.

Paul exhorts us, “Speak truth each one of you with his neighbor” (Ephesians 4:25). A keyword in that phrase is “truth,” which is the only real standard for bringing value to another person. Truth results in assurance and security, in worth and value. It becomes the compass during the storm that confidently steers us in the right direction.

So praise your spouse in all situations, using wisdom to meet the need of the moment, speaking truthfully to help construct character. Your words of affirmation can help rebuild what life has torn apart.

PRAY

Pray for a heart that longs to build up, not tear down.

I Must Grow In Grace In Order To Accomplish Great Things For God’s Kingdom

I Must Grow In Grace In Order To Accomplish Great Things For God’s Kingdom

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 1:8

We can only advance in our spiritual maturity as the Holy Spirit comes upon us. It is then we are able, from within, to become what He has called us to be, and that is a powerful witnesses.

Jesus experienced continual growth and increase in His life from childhood. Therefore you and I must constantly be growing in our spiritual life if victory is our goal. Those who remain stagnate in their walk with God cannot walk in victory. We must grow in grace in order to accomplish great things for God’s Kingdom.

Luke 2:40,
“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him…And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man.”

I Corinthians 13:11 says,
“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

2 Peter 3:18 the apostle decrees,
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”

We must always be in a process of spiritual growth for the sake of the King.

I Believe In You, GOD!

I Believe In You, GOD!

“Jesus said unto him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.'”

Mark 9:23 (NKJV)

According to 1 John 4:17:…. “as he is, so are we in this world” (KJV). He is seated in heaven. That means He is in charge. And He says we are in charge here. “Whatsoever thou shalt bind here on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever thou shalt loose here on earth is loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19, KJV).

When was the last time you laid hands on the sick? When last did your son have a headache and the first thing you did was to lay hands on the child or go to your pastor for prayers. Usually, we go for Panadol because it is seems easier. When last did your meal barrel become empty and you laid hands on it for a miracle to take place. How do you prove God, if you do not believe him for anything? Why are we living in this age as if God is not real?

There was a time when there was no food to eat in the house. And I told the people living with me: “Put the pot on fire and let us begin to praise God”. Before we finished praying, a knock came on the door and there was provision. This is the type of thing that strengthens you in times of adversity. The more you prove the faithfulness of God, the more your faith grows.

Beloved, God wants to do great things for you and with you on a daily basis. Believe Him for the impossible. Whatever we have seen is nothing compared to what is coming. There is so much God wants to manifest in this day and hour that we are in. Incredible miracles! Eye popping miracles, the ones that will make people to stand in awe of your God!

The devil does not have the final say. Don’t put your faith in the doctor’s report. Put your faith in God’s report. He is God. And there are no impossibilities with Him. I have seen incredible miracles of God’s grace and all I am saying to you today is to believe. Believe for your miracles. Believe Him for your breakthrough. I assure you, He will not fail you.

Isaiah 53:1-5

Jeremiah 32:17-27

It Is Awesome For God To Send His Son Jesus Christ To Die In My Place

It Is Awesome For God To Send His Son Jesus Christ To Die In My Place

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 2:12-13

Salvation is a wonderful gift of God to mankind, it is awesome for God to send His son to die in our place and thereby redeem us from sin and satan and reconcile us to Himself. It is a free gift from God and once we confess our sins, ask for forgiveness and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, we are saved, it’s straightforward.
Nevertheless, many Christians struggle in their walk with God, as they feel once they get saved things just begin to work out, they feel they ought to become holy and immune to temptation automatically. Our text today makes it clear that, there is work to be done on our own part, it is like the case of a student who wants a university degree and has been given a free entry and scholarship into the university, the student still has to study, he can’t just assume he will graduate automatically without any effort on his own part, he has to attend lectures, study hard, write exams and pass.
So our walk with God requires ‘work’, we have to cultivate, carry out the goal, and fully complete our salvation; we need to work it for it to work for us. We need to know that it is a walk of Faith, (2 Corinthians 5:7), and not of fear that comes from sight walking, when we pray, we should believe that God will answer and ‘act’ accordingly.
We also ought to walk with self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ.
Most important of all , we must know that we cannot do it by our power, and that it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in us [energizing and creating in us the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.
It becomes easier when we have more of God in our lives and less of ‘us’ in us.

Confession

I will not be lazy with regards of my salvation, I have the grace and strength to continuously work it out. Hallelujah!

I Am So Quick To Come To God In Times Of Need

I Am So Quick To Come To God In Times Of Need

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! – (Psalm 107:21)

How like us to forget to give thanks. We are so quick to come to God in times of need. We pray, “Lord, get me out of this” or “Lord intervene” or “Lord, provide for me.” We call on the Lord and then when He answers, we don’t offer up a word of thanks.

Worse yet is when we chalk it up to dumb luck. It reminds me of the guy who was on the roof of a three-story house, nailing down a loose shingle. Suddenly he lost his footing and began to slide. Knowing he was about to fall to his death, he cried out to God, praying, “Help me! Save me! God, don’t let me die! God, do something! Save me!”

Then, as he was nearing the edge of the roof, his belt loop suddenly caught on a nail, which stopped him. This allowed him to grab hold and then climb back up again. Reaching safety, he called out, “It’s okay, God! I got caught on a nail!”

That is how we are sometimes. We say, “Oh, Lord, provide for me. I have this financial need. Lord, You’ve got to come through for me.”

Then the next day, a rebate check for the exact amount arrives in the mail. “It’s okay, Lord,” we say. “The rebate check showed up.”

Do we ever stop and think, however, that God has provided that for us?

Are you giving God the glory for what He has done? We are so quick to ask for His help. But let’s remember to give Him the praise when He comes through. We should be as definite in returning thanks as we are in requesting help. Far too often we call on God in times of crisis, but we don’t follow through with our thanks.
