It’s time for your miracle

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Luke 11:10)

I have good news from the LORD for you today. The message is that you should get ready, for you are a qualified candidate for a miracle. “How do I qualify for it?” you may want to ask. You were qualified the moment you believed in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is the real miracle worker; He is the Healer.

When you trust the LORD for a miracle, He’ll certainly give it to you. You see, the LORD specializes in doing miracles and He always want His children to live fulfilled lives. Our LORD Jesus said to His disciples, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” (John 15:11). Then in John 16:24 He says, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” So you see, He wants His joy to be in you and He wants your joy to be made full. He wants you to ask Him for a miracle today. Whether it’s in your finances, academics, marriage or health, it makes no difference to Him at all for He can do anything for you. Always remember, He loves you so very much!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I have received Your Word today. Therefore, I receive my healing, financial increase, restoration and everything I desire from you, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The darker the night, the brighter the light

The darker the night, the brighter the light

For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmuring and disputing: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:13-15)

If you observe the trend around the world today, it’s though man has finally descended into the deepest depth of corruption, moral decadence and wickedness. Amidst all these, the Bible assures us of victory for we’re not subject to the circumstances of this world; we’re born of the Spirit of God.

We need to learn to think smartly and wisely because of the day we’re living in. we need to realize that the corruption, insincerity or wickedness around us isn’t any problem for us; we must see it as our opportunity. “Opportunity for what?” you may ask. They are your opportunities to show forth the glory of your heavenly Father. If there was no Goliath, there would have been no David. The Word of God would always prevail; it would triumph in any system of government. So, never think the government policies or unfavourable economic conditions are designed to destroy you. If you live by the Word of God there is no government policy or economic system on earth that can beat you.

You have to realize that the darker the night, the more brightly your light shines. Don’t become like them, or talk like them and don’t succumb to their way of doing business. The more evil and the corruption, the brighter your light shines. Jesus said you are the salt of the earth and again He said, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid”   (Matthew 5:14).

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You for making me a city that’s set upon a hill and for causing my light to shine in such a way that my world is illuminated with righteousness and the knowledge of Your Word. I ask that You cause Your light to shine more and more through me to chase away every work of darkness in my sphere of contact, in Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God And His Word are One

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

God And His Word are One

God and His Word are One (John 1:1). In the book of Genesis, God fashioned the whole creation by His Word. When He said, “Let there be light!” And light appeared (Genesis 1:3) and every other creation came into existence through His Word. In fact, all of God’s creation is kept in its place and maintained together in perfect harmony by the Word (Hebrews 1:3).  God’s Word is so powerful!

Now, Romans 10:8 says, “……The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach).” In other words, this all-powerful Word of God is not far from you at all; it’s in your heart and your mouth. That means you can turn the circumstances of your life around to your favour. Just thinking about this alone should make you shout for joy.

If you want to drink a glass of water, do you just stand in front of your refrigerator and say, “Please, give me water?” No! What you do is open the refrigerator and pour yourself a glass of water. In the same manner, you don’t have to keep crying over your needs because God has given you His Word. All you need do is to take from it whatever you desire for your life.

For example, if you’ve been told by the doctors that you will never have children because of some complications in your womb. Don’t cry, because the solution is in the Word! Search through your Bible for a Word that directly deals with your case and begin to declare the same. Before long, the situation will change because the Word doesn’t fail.

Don’t let your senses or the situation lie to you, God’s Word is more real than both. God gave you His Word so you can use it to chart the course of your life. It makes no difference what your need is, as long as there is provision for it in the Word, it’s yours! This is why you must begin to study the Word like never before and be full of it.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! Your Word prevails in my life and it causes me to triumph over every situation I face. Your Word in my mouth is as fire and hammer that breaks rocks into pieces, it destroys every situation that’s inconsistent with Your desire, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

So, let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.”

Don’t give up! God has harvest your in store for you! The deeper the
foundation is, the higher the building. Many give up right before
their breakthrough; don’t let that be you! You could be one step
of obedience away from your due season!

Fight the good fight of faith

Fight the good fight of faith

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12)

Throughout the New Testament Scriptures, the only fight we’re told to fight is the good fight of faith; and the Bible clearly states that it’s a good fight. This means it’s a worthy fight to be fought; more so, we’re on the winning side.

The flesh, the world and its systems, the devil and his cohorts have all been overcome for us by our LORD Jesus Christ. Now the only thing left for you to do is to appropriate all that Christ has accomplished on your behalf. This means that you see what He has given you and hold on to them in spite of everything that your physical senses can otherwise perceive. This is the fight of faith. It is the fight you face when you stand on God’s Word and refuse to observe anything contrary.

Let me explain further with this illustration: someone has been healed through the power of the Word of God, but somehow, he begins to feel some familiar symptoms in his body. Then the devil begins to taunt him saying “Are you really sure you’re healed? If you were healed, why are you feeling those pains? You’re still sick; why don’t you just admit it and stop deceiving yourself.”

Thoughts like this are missiles the devil fires at your mind, and Paul says in Ephesians 6:16 that you quench them with the shield of faith. This is where the fight of faith comes in, and God expects you to fight it because it’s a good fight. He has assured you of the victory!

If the symptoms ever come back, all you have to do is say, “I was healed in the Name of Jesus Christ and I remain healed!”  (1 Peter 2:24). When you talk like that, you wouldn’t be testifying to your feelings but to the Word of God. The Bible says, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Resist the devil with your faith-filled words and he will necessarily flee. That’s your victory in the fight of faith!

Confession:

I walk by faith and not by what I see, feel, or hear. I cannot be discouraged or defeated, because the Holy Spirit in me is greater than the devil in the world. I am born of God and I have overcome the world and its evil system by my faith. Therefore, I take hold of my health, peace, prosperity, success, and everything that’s mine in Christ Jesus, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Christ is made unto us wisdom

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Christ is made unto us wisdom

But of Him (God) are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30)

The Bible says Christ Jesus is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

Wisdom!

“Christ is made unto us wisdom” means that Christ has become our wisdom. Therefore, we do not function with human wisdom but with an excellent wisdom. You see, a lot of Christians were never taught how to take advantage of that which Christ has made available to them. When you learn to take advantage of this excellent wisdom, you’ll always know the right thing to do.

The Bible says, “A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back” (Proverbs 26:3). The type of rod this scripture is referring to isn’t like the whip used on a horse; it’s referring to the whip of life. Many are whipped by different circumstances in life and suffer because of ignorance. They make terrible mistakes in their lives because they haven’t learnt how to take advantage of the wisdom of God. The more you put God’s Word into your spirit, the more you dig into that wisdom and avail yourself of its privileges and advantages; you’ll begin to function in it at home, in your academics, on your job, in your business, and in your finances.

A life that is void of the wisdom of God will be full of afflictions and sufferings. But when you begin to function with it, you’ll walk out of every affliction. God knows every wrong step you could take and He would guide your steps from making any of them through this wisdom. So you see, you don’t have to make the blunders anymore; you can be more certain of your choices in life. Avail yourself of that wisdom today and walk through life victoriously!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You for anointing me with the wisdom of Christ, for as many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Teach me to apply my heart to this wisdom and also to submit to its authority in my life, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32)

Detail - Glory of the New Born Christ in prese...

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32)

The Word of God liberates men from the bondage of sin, condemnation, sickness, poverty, discouragement and failure; it is the liberating truth. However, you can only walk in the liberty that you know. You see, that a slave was set free doesn’t mean he’ll enjoy his liberty. This is because liberation begins from the mind; there must be a change in his way of thinking to have any lasting change in his lifestyle. In the same vein, though man was liberated legally from the shackles of satan more than two thousand years ago, he may not enjoy his liberty vitally until he accepts, understands and endorses the legal document that guarantees his freedom; that document is The Word of God!

It’s my pleasure to announce to you today that condemnation, sin, every form of sickness, poverty, failure, discouragement and death are no longer alive in you. Sin and death have no hold on you anymore, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). The Bible says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1), so lose yourself from the bondage of condemnation. You have been liberated from sickness, for by the stripes of Christ, you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). You are no longer “The poor trying to be rich,” because the Bible says, “For ye know the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Jesus Christ suffered, died and resurrected to give you life. There are no chains binding you anymore, for you’re born free in Christ, so get the truth and make yourself free; get to know the purpose of His suffering, death and resurrection! Always remember that “Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped” (Psalm 124:7).

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, You have brought me into Your Kingdom of free men through Your Son Jesus Christ and by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I refuse to be entangled again with any yoke of bondage. Therefore, I ask that You open my eyes to Your Word and strengthen my faith thereby, so I may stand fast in the liberty that we have in Christ Jesus, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…….” (Act 1:8)

The Holy Spirit Is The Power Giver!

The Holy Spirit is the power of God. If you have received Him into your life, then you’ve received power; He is the power-giver. He gives you the inherent, dynamic ability to cause changes. He gives you the divine enablement to accomplish any task and change any hopeless situation. Happy are you if you’ve received the Holy Spirit into your life! It means you can never be disadvantaged anymore. It has become impossible for you to be a victim in life.

Here, Jesus Christ lets us know the source of true power, and how we can receive that power into our lives. It is by receiving the Holy Spirit – He is the embodiment of all power. Many people are seeking for power in the wrong places; how sad! There’s no power in the occult or in any of the religions of the world. There’s no power outside of the Holy Spirit. The question is, have you received Him into your life? Have you been born again? If you have, then you don’t need any other power. The power-Giver Himself lives in you. No wonder the apostle Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ……” (Philippians 4:13); he didn’t say, “O God I pray that You’ll give me power to do all things”. The power you need is the Holy Spirit. This is why it’s compulsory for every Christian to receive the Holy Spirit.

If you want the glory of God to be seen in your life and you want to walk in dominion over the devil, sickness, disease, infirmities and death, then you must have the Holy Spirit. When you have Him, you have all the power you’ll ever need to effect changes in your world. No matter the challenges you face in life, tell yourself, “This is bread for me; I have the power to crush every adversity. Nothing is impossible with me; I can change hopeless situations because I’m anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power”

Confession:

Thank You Heavenly Father for anointing me with the Holy Spirit and with power; I recognize that I have the ability to cause the changes I desire because the Holy Spirit in me is the power giver. Therefore, I’m not moved by the things I can see, feel or perceive by my senses because they are all subject to change; the things which are seen are temporal but the unseen things are eternal!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Do not yield to the devil’s accusations

The Temptation of Christ, 1854

Do not yield to the devil’s accusations

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night” (Revelation 12:10)

One of the devil’s key strategies is to keep people in bondage to their past by reminding them of their sins. He’ll haunt you with the thoughts and pictures of your wrongs. He’ll always tell you how useless you are and give you more than enough reasons why you would fail in life.

But you shouldn’t allow the devil give you a bad day through his railing accusations. God’s calling upon your life was clearly stated before the world began; He already determined that you should be a success in life. Remember that one of satan’s title is “the accuser of the brethren”, and he is an expert at it because he’s been at it a long time.

There are Christians today who have lost faith and stopped going to church all because they did something wrong. I wonder if they realized that their solution was in God’s Word; “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

In Romans 6:14, God says, “Sin shall not have dominion over you.” So when you do something wrong, don’t let it have dominion over you. Don’t stay there wishing your world would come to an end. Your sins have been removed from your life, as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). God has dumped them into the abyss.

If the devil reminds you of your past, you remind him of his future (Revelation 20:10). Refuse to be weighed down by the failures of your past, and begin to declare your glorious future in Christ Jesus. Understand this: God loves you! If He loved you while you were yet a sinner, how much more now that you are His child (Romans 5:8).

Confession:

I have been delivered from the bondage of sin, hence, it cannot dominate me. My heart is established upon the Word of God; therefore, I’m not moved by the devil’s schemes and accusations.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Let your dream in life be for people to see Jesus Christ in you

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Let your dream in life be for people to see Jesus Christ in you.

Read:  1 Timothy 3:15

Jesus is The Word, The Truth Of God, made flesh. The Bible describes Him as the reflection of God’s glory and the exact likeness of His being (Hebrews 1:3). In other words, when He walk the streets of Jerusalem, He was the perfect representation of God’s personality. The truth is still moving upon the face of the earth today through you and I.

The Bible described the Church of Jesus Christ as the pillar and ground of truth (1 Timothy 3:15). We’re the expression or representation of truth for we’re the temples of the living God (1 Corinthians 6:19). Therefore, we’re responsible for delivering men and women around the world into their inheritance in Christ Jesus and liberating them from every form of bondage. We were made to teach, preach and reveal the truth.

For example, when you truly understand who you really are in Christ, you’ll never condemn anyone, for the truth will never reject or condemn anyone. You can’t change people by dwelling on their faults; it’s only the truth that changes a man. The truth liberates, heals and imparts life. When you realize you’re the custodian of eternal verities, you’ll never stop preaching the message of salvation to the sinner, for you may be the only “Jesus” he’ll ever come in contact with.

As a Christian, you are the revelation of the truth of God; you carry in you the solution to every need in a man’s life. So, you see, you have a great responsibility to your world. Just as John The Baptist said in John 3:30, “He must increase but I must decrease,” let your dream in life be for people to see Jesus Christ in you. The time is indeed short, therefore, “….make every minute count” (Ephesians 5:16 CEV); the salvation of many depends on you.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing Your Son in and through me to my world. Guide my steps towards those who are in dire need of Your liberating truth; let its light radiate through me to break every yoke off their lives. Let Your Spirit set them afire for Your Kingdom, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. – Proverbs 28:1

Christ in the House of His Parents by John Everett Millais, 1849-50 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
Proverbs 28:1

One of my greatest inspirations of boldness is John the Baptist. He was not someone that the world considered special. He dressed strangely and ate strange food. He didn’t have any special gifting. He preached about God’s kingdom, boldly carrying out what his King had called Him to do. John the Baptist didn’t care what people said or what they thought. It didn’t matter how uncool it was, how undesirable it was, or how bad people hated him. He was even thrown in jail for what he said and later beheaded because of his boldness.

Another one of my Bible heroes is the Apostle Paul who wrote these words in his letter to the Romans: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile (Romans 1:16). But that kind of boldness can’t happen until you know who you are and you know your place in Christ. This world is hurt and it’s dying. We need voices in the wilderness right now. We need voices to step up and start proclaiming the gospel of Christ with the boldness of John the Baptist and the Apostle Paul did.

Stay strong. If your family, friends and associates hate you for your beliefs, it doesn’t matter. Persecution will come. Just rely on Christ. Have peace knowing that he’s with you. Christ is a hundred percent more important than your family, friends and neighbours. He’s the only reason we live.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way– Psalm 37:23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his wayPsalm 37:23

God‘s will is to lead you on a day-by-day basis. He’s given His Spirit to guide you every day.

Most believers don’t know that. They expect God to reveal His complete will for their lives in one big revelation. Don’t make that mistake. Don’t just sit around waiting for God to show you whether or not He wants you to go to Africa for the rest of your life.

Let Him begin to lead you in little things first, to tell you what you need to do about this situation or that one. He’ll show you what you need to change. And, as He does, you’ll change one thing at a time.

The truth is, you probably already know one thing God wants you to do. You might not know why He wants you to do it. You may not know where it’s leading, but you’ve heard His voice in your heart.

If you want to keep on hearing Him, you’ll have to set aside your own ambitions and desires. Spend time in prayer and in the Word. Tune your ear to the voice of His Spirit.

Learn to trust Him. Remember that He’s smarter than you are and be willing to do what He says whether you can understand it with your mind or not. Obey even His smallest instructions. If you do, He’ll eventually change your whole life…one little step at a time.

No more sleepless nights

English: Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey

No more sleepless nights

Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately (and) cares about you watchfully (1 Peter 5:7)

I believe one of the greatest things in life is to know that you are loved by God, the Creator of the universe. The Bible says He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. This world is full of troubles and you will face different challenge as long as you’re living in it. But the good news is that Jesus overcame the world for your sake (John 16:33). Therefore, you should no longer have sleepless nights over any situation in your life.

Some people find it difficult to sleep when they are confronted with challenges. Such people are oblivious to the fact that they were called into a life of rest. The Bible says, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His” (Hebrews 4:10). Jesus was mocked to the cross; He was spat on, beaten and rejected, and then He died. All these He did so that you may no longer cry. Therefore, whenever you think about the death of Jesus, always remember that He took all those pains, worries, dejection which could have given you sleepless nights. Hallelujah!

Remember that when He was praying in the garden of Gethsemane just before He was arrested, His disciples were sleeping. They awoke only after He had finished praying  (Matthew 26:45). The Bible says, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his” (Hebrews 4:10). He has given you rest and taken your sleepless night away.

1 Peter 5:7 tells you what to do when you’re faced with challenges: “Throw all your worry on Him (God), because He cares for you.” The Bible says, “It’s useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don’t you know he enjoys giving rest to those He loves?” (Psalm 127:2 MSG).  Therefore, never let worry or any other thing steal your rest away from you.

Confession:

I have the peace of God, therefore I dwell in rest. I refuse to be troubled by circumstances and situations, because I deal with them from a position of rest. Challenges are my nourishment and signs of my promotion. Glory to God! Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Life Of Praise And Thanksgiving

Detail - Glory of the New Born Christ in prese...

Life of praise and thanksgiving

“And being not weak in faith, he (Abraham) considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:19-20)

True Christianity is a supernatural life of faith in God’s Word. When you’re operating by the principles of faith, you’ll always be giving glory to God. You’ll always be thankful and grateful to Him, not for what you expect Him to do, but for all He’s already done, because you’ve come to understand that there’s absolutely nothing that He hasn’t done for you yet. This understanding makes your life that of praise and thanksgiving; you glorify God every day, everywhere and at all times.

In your life, you must learn how to look out only for that which gives God glory. So, instead of looking for your sickness; look for your healing. Some people are quick to rush to the doctor at the slightest pain or discomfort in their body. Such folks are looking out for their sickness instead of their healing. That’s not faith, and that doesn’t glorify God.

If, for example, there’s a swelling somewhere in your body; don’t talk about how persistent the growth is and complain about the pain. Instead, choose to see that it’s reducing and the pain gone. Then, begin to give glory to God for your healing. If you have a child that’s not been able to walk, and one morning you wake up to discover that there’s some form of movement in the child’s legs; the legs has moved and changed position, don’t wait till you can see the child perfectly walking and running around before you start giving glory to God. The right thing to do is to begin immediately to thank God that the child can walk! Faith gives glory to God!

For you to move from one level of glory to a higher level, you have to speak according to God’s Word. You have to talk yourself to that place where you want to be. If they’ve refused to promote you in your place of work; don’t be sad. Promotion doesn’t come from the east, west or from the south. It comes from God (Psalm 75:6). Therefore talk yourself to the top. Use your mouth. Keep declaring your promotion; your miracle is in your mouth. Don’t stagger at the promise of God through unbelief.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You and praise Your Holy Name for Your glory is manifested in my life continually. Help me to see only the fulfilment of Your Word and the manifestation of Your power in my life, so that my life may be full of praise and thanksgiving, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Secret To A Dynamic Christian Life!

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

The Secret To A Dynamic Christian Life!

When you face challenges, get into your closet and speak in tongues!

For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not unto men, but unto God: for no man understands him; howbeit in the spirit he speaks mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2)

Sometimes when you’re speaking in other tongues, you’re not only talking to God, you’re also issuing instructions to angels. Notice that the Apostle Paul didn’t say when you speak in tongues, no angel understands, but that no man understands. You’re speaking mysteries to God – words which cannot be uttered in articulated language, hence cannot be understood by the natural mind.

That’s what the Apostle Paul refers to as the tongues of angels. At that points, you’re talking to angels; you’re speaking in the realm of the spirit. For example, maybe you misplaced something and don’t seem to know where and how to find it, just pray in other tongues! As you do, your angels will receive instructions to go find it, and before long, that thing will show up.

Or maybe you sent an application to a certain organization for a job, contract or business deal; as you speak in other tongues, your angels will swing into action, ensuring that your application get into the right hands. They’ll see to it that you get what you’re asking for. Perhaps, it is money that you need; begin to speak in other tongues and your angels will immediately get to work, causing the money you need to come to you by free course. You can’t pray in tongues consistently everyday and be broke; it’s not possible!

I challenge you to take time to speak in other tongues every day. Do it consistently like Paul, who said “I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18). When you face challenges, get into your closet and speak in other tongues. That’s how to mount pressure on the adversary; that’s the secret to a dynamic Christian life.

Prayer:

Thank You Heavenly Father for granting me utterance in the Spirit, so that I may communicate with You by speaking divine secrets. As I speak in tongues, angels are receiving instructions to minister for me in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God hears your cries no matter how many times you mess up. He is rich in mercy

Read: Psalm 147:3

Have you ever done something for your children when you know they didn’t deserve it, but you did it anyway? Why? Because you love them.

Take for example the children of Israel. They were in bondage. And they began to cry out, and God heard their cry. He remembered His covenant, and sent Moses to deliver them out of that bondage. It wasn’t long after God delivered them out of Egypt, that they were breaking covenant again. They were rebellious. They were disobedient. That same curse came on them, and they were in bondage again. As a matter of fact, most of their lives they were in bondage.

You might be asking: “How does this relate to me?”

Well, you may have cried out to God and He delivered you, but then you found yourself back in the same boat of rebellion and disobedience again. You most likely, feel bondage in your life. Rebellion and disobedience will produce bondage and oppression. But thank God His mercy endures forever!

God hears your cries no matter how many times you mess up. He is rich in mercy. He will pick you up every time you call on His Name. He loves you. He wants the best for your life. He wants you free from this bondage.

Just like you with your kids. God loves you. He does not want you in bondage. Jesus came to set you free from bondage. God’s best is for you to experience God’s favour in your life. It doesn’t matter what you have done. God will pour out your mercy and love on you.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Faith

Faith

He (Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform (Romans 4:20-21).

Do not stagger!

Abraham, the Bible says, was strong in faith; he was fully persuaded at the promise of God. You see, strong faith doesn’t stagger at the promise of God; it maintains confession in the face of overwhelming opposition.

I was privileged to read the testimony of a minister who had applied to a certain organization for a job. The personnel officer in charge said to her, “Sorry, the interview has been conducted and the management already selected the suitable candidate for the job.” “No!” the minister replied. “When I was praying, God told me I was going to get this job,” she said with confidence to the officer that was speaking with her. The management of the organization insisted there was nothing they could do to help her.

She wasn’t even sent an invitation letter for an interview; but she didn’t consider that. In spite of the fact that they already confirmed to her that the job position wasn’t vacant anymore, she didn’t consider their report. I want you to understand that she didn’t deny the fact that the interview had been conducted and the organization already gave the job to someone else but she refused to allow that fact wane or dissipate her faith. She refused to allow that fact control her believing. True to her words, the management called her in and conducted another interview for her. When they were through, they disregarded the previous selection they had made and gave her the job. Faith always works!

In your life, refuse to consider the natural circumstances or evidences that seem to war against your faith. Refuse to be moved by them. God’s Word is the evidence for your success, health, victory, progress and prosperity. It is the only true evidence you must consider. It is absolutely infallible and immutable. This is your evidence that what God says are yours, are truly yours; what God says you are, you are, and you can do what He says you can do. You can stake your life on it. Therefore, don’t stagger at the Word of God through unbelief!

Confession:

I refuse to allow the situation around me determine who I become, what I say and do. My confidence in the Word of God is unwavering and total; for the Word is guaranteed to produce the desired result; it’ll never fail! Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

You are valuable to God

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20)

Before the foundations of the earth, God saw you, knew you, and pre-ordained you unto glory. By faith, He declared you to be a success, and purposed that you’ll prosper in whatsoever you lay your hands to do.

Jesus used the man who brought a field because of the treasure in it to explain what the faith of the Son of God truly is, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all he hath, and buyeth that field” (Matthew 13:44). He gave up everything, sold everything he had, and bought the whole field. Why? So he could get the treasure out of the field. That field is the world of men, and the treasure in the field is the Church. Living by the faith of the Son of God means that you’re living according to God’s perception of you. You see yourself the way God see you, in Christ.

The Bible says we’re God’s peculiar treasures (Exodus 19:5) and 1 Peter 2:9 says, “Ye are peculiar people…” that means you’re somebody special. Let nobody deceive you or lie to you; you’re peculiar! Men may have called you a weakling, but when God saw you, He said, “Behold My Glory; behold My mighty man of valour!”

You are valuable to God! You are special to Him. I can never be defeated; it’s simply impossible! You can’t talk like this and fail or lose. The Son of God saw a victor in you and you are what He says you are. You cannot but live according to the picture of you that He has shown you. You have to keep living by that faith; the faith of the Son of God, Who saw the treasure in you and bought you with the price of His own blood!

As you study His Word and discover what He sees you to be, say, “Yes LORD, I’m that man (or woman) that you see me to be.” Refuse to be what your neighbours, family members, friends or adversaries see you to be. You’re what God says you are!

Confession:

I am what God says I am; I refuse to be poor or sick. The life of God is in me; it’s in my blood, bones, skin, and every fibre of my being. My success is unlimited and I prosper in everything I lay my hands upon for I am fruitful and productive in every good work. I know who I am! I live every day of my life by the faith of the Son of God Who loved me and gave Himself for me!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Prayers

Read: (Romans 12:12)

In the portion of the scripture you just read, the Spirit of God is showing you something that you need to live a consistent victorious life in Christ. He noted that though there’s tribulation all round, we should be constant in prayer; that is, consistent in prayer. The underlining message in this scripture is, you must develop yourself in prayer.

Some have thought that prayer is all about telling God your problems, hoping He’ll do something about them. Contrary to such opinion, prayer is not a one-way traffic; its fellowship or communion with your Heavenly Father. You’re not just talking to Him, but with Him. Constant communion helps to build love, to make it stronger; hence, prayer is a communion that builds your relationship with your Heavenly Father. That means, for you to grow and strengthen your love for Him, you have to learn to pray more.

Some others assume that prayer is simply a way to get God to do something or change His mind about an issue. As a result, they don’t pray until they have an urgent need in their lives that requires divine intervention. What such folks don’t know is, before you can change situations, your prayer must first change you. If your prayer doesn’t change you then your prayer life is not effective.

You see, there’s a transformation that takes place in your life when you commune with God regularly. As you spend more time to commune with God in prayer, your character and thoughts are continually being influenced by His presence and you’ll become more like Him in Character. Then, you’re transported unto a higher realm of the supernatural where nothing is impossible to you. Hallelujah! So you see, prayer is guaranteed to change your life, if you do it consistently. This is why we are admonished to be constant in prayer.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the privilege of prayer. As I yield myself to you, let this time of communion transport me unto a higher level of relationship with You. Let there be a transformation in my thoughts, words, love and passion for the unsaved, in Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

For every one that ask receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened (Luke 11:10)

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

For every one that ask receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened (Luke 11:10)

You have every right, as a child of God, to expect answers when you pray (John 15:16). But if you pray to God, doubting, you’re not going to get anything James 1:8 says, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” No man can receive anything from God without faith (Hebrews 11:6)

The reason some people wouldn’t expect answers to their prayers is that they remember all their sins and failures as soon as they get on their knees to pray; they are overwhelmed by self-condemnation. Self-condemnation will destroy your faith. It’s impossible for a man to receive anything from God without faith and that means you wouldn’t be able to receive the answer to your prayer. The way out of this quagmire is to build yourself in God’s Word because you’re a spiritual babe.

The Bible says, “For every on that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe” (Hebrews 5:13). Righteousness is the nature of God that makes you stand before God without the feeling of guilt, inferiority or condemnation. If you condemn yourself incessantly, then you’re unskilled in the Word of Righteousness and as such, you’re a spiritual babe. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “As newborn babes, desires the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby.” The Word of God can build you up in righteousness; “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith…..” (Romans 1:17). You need to renew your mind with God’s Word and strengthen yourself in His righteousness. With this consciousness of your righteousness in Christ, you can confidently ask The Father, knowing that you’ll receive answer to your request.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly father! I thank You for giving me the opportunity to ask according to Your will, and the confidence that You will grant my request. Therefore, I ask that You cause me to work in favour today; in my job, school and home, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!
