11. Saul also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.
12. So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.

Message

Let me start by clarifying something about being alone. Being alone could be in two ways, by solitude and by loneliness. Solitude is by being alone on purpose; an intentional separation from people for a period, such a person can be alone by the river side or watching television without being lonely. There is a biblical basis for solitude (Exodus 33:7,11; Luke 5:16; Luke 22:41), therefore, solitude could be a good thing. However, loneliness is usually never desired. Prolonged loneliness may sometimes lead to depression. Being alone is the very fast aspect of creation that met with God’s disapproval and His harsh judgment of not being good, and 1 Corinthians 1:25 says,
“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”
Therefore, God’s assessment of “being alone” should be taken seriously. God in His infinite wisdom decided to solve the problem of being alone by providing a “help meet for the man”. A perfect companion that is suitable for him, one that will cancel out the negative effects of “being alone”. Now, fulfilling the purpose of God in life in general and marriage in particular depends largely on our understanding and total submission to the manufacturer’s instructions. A simple, direct, Holy Ghost inspired and time tested meaning of this passage is clear to all. Help refers broadly to aid or assistance, the word “helper” may connote subordinate, but does not necessarily imply inferiority. Hosea 13:9 refers to God as Israel’s helper, also, Genesis 2:18-25, describes how God provided the suitable helper for the man.
The declaration of Adam, that Eve is the bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh is a pointer to the fact that marriage creates the closets of all human relationships and should be cherished as such. We are to note also that only Eve was created and not Several Eves or another Adam. This is the confirmation that God established heterosexual monogamy as the divine pattern for marriage at creation. However, the languages of Ephesians 5:22-25 is probably clearer on the God given roles of husbands and wives.
“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”
Every child of God that is determined to fulfil God’s purpose must live according to the order of marriage ordained by Almighty God. Marriage is the foundation of life according to the Bible. Consequently, marital failure may as well translate to failure in life and ministry.

Prayer Point

Father, I believe in the institution of marriage according to the Bible, please help me to build a strong, happy and joyful home in the mighty name of Jesus.

3.Father, in any area, I have fallen short of your glory in marriage, have mercy and forgive me.

4.Father, please, make my spouse my best half, helper and companion, indeed.

Father. let every plan of satan concerning my home and marriage be scattered.
Father, let every arrow of separation and divorce fired, or that may be fired, into my home and marriage, go back to sender.
Father, give me a deeper and better understanding of the marriage institution, that I may fulfil your purpose.

The fashionable church building is located in the Southwest Coast Scenic Area in Taiwan. The huge high-heel shoe is 17m high and 11m wide, and made of 320 pieces of glass.

According to the administrative office of the building, this church might look very stylish but it also blends with tradition. In tradition, the bride needs to wear high-heels to tread on tiles and then throw away the shattered pieces before stepping in the bridegroom’s family, which signifies the end to past misfortunes and the beginning of a better life.

They decided to build a high-heel shoe-like church for couples to get married and take wedding photos. The church is expected to open in February of this year during the annual Spring Festival.

In Genesis 48:13-20, Ephraim experienced a positive switch at the expense of his brother, Manasseh. He was last but became first. He was supposed to get the lesser blessing, but he got the greater portion. From today, you shall experience a positive switch in Jesus’ Name. Situations surrounding you shall suddenly change from bad to fair, fair to good, good to better and better to best. You are in for a great surprise this season.

However, looking at the situation of Ephraim down the line, we see that it is one thing to experience a positive switch, and it is another thing to sustain it. After inheriting his elder brother’s blessing, and having prospered above him in multiple folds, Ephraim could not manage his blessing. After he experienced unprecedented success, Ephraim neglected God and created idols for himself. Hosea 4:17 says:
“Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.”
This Scripture says he was joined to his idols. In other words, one way to frustrate God’s grace upon your life is to join yourself to idols. To “join” is another way of saying “to be married to” something you love so much. What is that idol taking the love, attention, devotion and time meant for God in your life?

The idols could mean real, tangible symbols or items to which you devote your worship, trust and love. Not too long ago, some people were said to have discovered some magical river with healing or miraculous powers, and so many people went there. If you are a true believer in Christ, you can never be found in such a place. An apparition appears on a particular building and people start visiting the place for prayers; they must have thrown away the scripture found in John 4:21. These are all idolatrous practices. Also, the use of talismanic rings and amulets, rosaries, scapulars, coloured candles and religious objects for protection or good luck are all part of idolatry. If you are joined to idols, you cannot remain joined to Jesus Christ; He will simply step out before you merge with idols. What is that idol making you to rubbish God’s goodness in your life? For some, it is their spouse. If you love your spouse above God, you are provoking God’s jealousy. Eventually, Ephraim became desolate (Hosea 5:9). That is what happens to idolaters. At some point, your idols will desert you. Be wise today!

Enjoy True Spiritual Intimacy In Your Marriage

A strong, healthy marriage doesn’t just include physical intimacy between a husband and wife, but also spiritual intimacy.

What is spiritual intimacy? It is a sense of unity and mutual commitment to God’s purpose for our lives and marriage, and respect for the special dreams of each other’s hearts. It’s the greatest depth of intimacy we experience in marriage.

Intimacy Necessitates Value, Energy, Sacrifice, and Trust. Let’s explore those four areas as they relate to spiritual intimacy.

Value: “I value God’s purpose for your life and the dreams of your heart.”

In marriage, a husband and wife are a team. One is not more important than the other, and together God uses both to accomplish His purposes. That means a husband and wife must each work to help their partner reach their full potential. They are dream-makers for each other, not dream-breakers.

Energy: “I commit to pursuing God personally and together to find and fulfill God’s call on my life, your life and our marriage.”

In making this commitment, a husband and wife collaborate to fulfill God’s call on their lives and marriage. This means putting in the work and energy. Pray together. Worship together Seek God together. Retreat together.

Sacrifice: “I sacrifice the desire to only promote myself or to worry about myself.”

Selfishness is a marriage-killer. God put us together to build each other up and to work as a team. This can be a struggle because humans are naturally selfish. That’s why we must sacrifice this innate self-regard. We have to set it aside in order to build true intimacy. Put your spouse first.

Trust: “I will create an atmosphere where you can share your deepest spiritual desires and dreams and know that they’re honored by me.”

A husband must be his wife’s safest place, and the same goes for a wife. Each person in a marriage must be able to share their dreams without worrying those dreams will be shot down, belittled, or ignored.

Husbands, if you are not prepared to honor your wife’s deepest dreams, don’t expect her to open up to you. Wives, your husband will not share his spiritual desires with you if he expects you to devalue them.

Dreams are sensitive things. Research shows that most couples’ worst fights occur on a dream level. You may dream of financial security. You may dream of a loving, orderly home where children are valued by their parents. You may dream of a house filled with peace.

If your spouse dreams of her house being a restful retreat but you are constantly introducing chaos into the home, you’re not just making her anxious. You are actively attacking her dream.

Having a spouse that fights against or somehow damages that desire can be heartbreaking in a marriage. Help each other pursue each other’s dreams. Don’t stand in the way of them.

Value! Energy! Sacrifice! Trust! Exhibit these behaviors toward your spouse to enjoy true spiritual intimacy in your marriage.

A Fan of mine sent in this question and wants me to answer him with Bible references. And I am throwing it to the whole world. Please is it lawful for someone to get married to his or her cousin. He is in a dilemma, please let us help him out.

Biblical Concept On Marriage

Calvary greetings to you and your family in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m a great fan of you. I love what you do and I pray for more grace of God in your life and the life of your family. Please I have a question is it Lawful for someone to get married to his or her cousin. The relationship is very distant (the grandfather of the Woman is a younger brother to the man’s Grandmother and the father of the man is a cousin to the father of the woman i.e 1st cousin While the children of the first cousin are the once that intend to get married) please I really need a clear answer to this question because there are examples of people that were married from their family. Eleazar’s daughters each married first cousins, as they were instructed ( 1 Chronicles 23:22).

Between parents and children –Leviticus 18:7-8

Between stepparents and stepchildren- Leviticus 18:8, 17

With your paternal or maternal aunt-Leviticus 18:12-13

With your uncle or aunt –Leviticus 18:14

Between brother and sister and half-brother and half-sister-Leviticus 18:9

Between stepbrothers and stepsisters-Leviticus 18:11

With your daughter-in-law –Leviticus 18:15

With your sister-in-law –Leviticus 18:16

With your granddaughter –Leviticus 18:10

With your step-granddaughter –Leviticus 18:17

However, it’s important to remember that many laws do condemn this type of marriage and Christians are commanded to “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men” (1 Peter 2:13-15, See also Romans 13:1-2). Please give biblical evidence of your answer.
