Genesis 50. Burial of Jacob. The Death Of Joseph. Joseph Reassures His Brothers

1 And Joseph fell upon his father’s face, and wept upon him, and kissed him. 2 And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father: and the physicians embalmed Israel. 3 And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days. 4 And when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spake unto the house of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying, 5 My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again. 6 And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury thy father, according as he made thee swear.

7 And Joseph went up to bury his father: and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt, 8 And all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father’s house: only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen. 9 And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company. 10 And they came to the threshingfloor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan, and there they mourned with a great and very sore lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days. 11 And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond Jordan. 12 And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them: 13 For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre. 14 And Joseph returned into Egypt, he, and his brethren, and all that went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father.

15 And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. 16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, 17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. 18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants. 19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. 21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

22 And Joseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his father’s house: and Joseph lived an hundred and ten years. 23 And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph’s knees. 24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. 25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. 26 So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.

Genesis 47. Joseph is Governor of Egypt

1 Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. 2 And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. 3 And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers. 4 They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen. 5 And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee: 6 The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle. 7 And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh. 8 And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou? 9 And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage. 10 And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh. 11 And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. 12 And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families.

13 And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. 14 And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house. 15 And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth. 16 And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. 17 And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year. 18 When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: 19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. 20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s. 21 And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof. 22 Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands. 23 Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. 24 And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. 25 And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants. 26 And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s.

27 And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly. 28 And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years. 29 And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt: 30 But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said. 31 And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head.

Genesis 45. Joseph tells his brothers who he is. Joseph sends for Jacob

1 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren. 2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. 3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. 4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. 5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. 6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. 7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. 9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: 10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast: 11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty. 12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you. 13 And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither. 14 And he fell upon his brother Benjamin’s neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck. 15 Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.

16 And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, Joseph’s brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants. 17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan; 18 And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land. 19 Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. 20 Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours. 21 And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. 22 To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment. 23 And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way. 24 So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

25 And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father, 26 And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not. 27 And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived: 28 And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.

Genesis 41. Joseph interprets Pharaoh’s Dream

1 And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river. 2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow. 3 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river. 4 And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke. 5 And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good. 6 And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them. 7 And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream. 8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

9 Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day: 10 Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker: 11 And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. 12 And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. 13 And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged. 14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. 15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it. 16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river: 18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow: 19 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness: 20 And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine: 21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke. 22 And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good: 23 And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them: 24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me. 25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath showed Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26 The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one. 27 And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine. 28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he showeth unto Pharaoh. 29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: 30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; 31 And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous. 32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine. 37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. 38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. 45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt. 47 And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls. 48 And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same. 49 And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number. 50 And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him. 51 And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house. 52 And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. 53 And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended. 54 And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. 55 And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do. 56 And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. 57 And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.

Genesis 40. Joseph interprets dreams

1 And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt. 2 And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers. 3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound. 4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.

5 And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison. 6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad. 7 And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day? 8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you. 9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me; 10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes: 11 And Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand. 12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days: 13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler. 14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and show kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house: 15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon. 16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head: 17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head. 18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days: 19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.

20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. 21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand: 22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them. 23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

Genesis 39. Joseph and Potiphar’s wife

1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. 2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. 6 And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 8 But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? 10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. 11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. 12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, 14 That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: 15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out. 16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home. 17 And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: 18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out.

19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. 20 And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. 21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. 23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

Genesis 12. God’s Call To Abram

Genesis 12. God’s Call To Abram

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. 5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. 7 And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. 8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD. 9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. 11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: 12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive. 13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.

14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair. 15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house. 16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels. 17 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife. 18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? 19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way. 20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

Promotion, the Bible says, doesn’t come from the east, west, or south, but from God. The Lord delights in promoting His kids; that is, taking them from one level to a higher level in every aspect of their lives. He detests stagnation and retrogression; that’s why He wants you to make progress and move forward in this year 2013. The Bible says, “…the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). The exciting thing about favour is that its promotion defies human logic and awes the natural mind. This year is your set time to experience supernatural promotion.

As a child of God, you need to understand that God’s grace is upon you and that grace is your power for promotion. Hallelujah! You’ve been born into favour, into the “forward and upward” life; you ought to keep experiencing supernatural promotions in every area of your life. Check out the man Joseph in the Bible, He was sold by his brothers into Egypt as a slave. Potiphar’s wife lied against him, and he was eventually incarcerated in Pharaoh’s dungeon. Yet, that grace (the power of promotion) working in him moved him from the prison house to being the Prime Minister of Egypt (Genesis 41:39-40). Everyday throughout this year is an opportunity for you to experience promotion because 2013 is the set time for you to apprehend that higher level that God has prepared for you! There’s room for you at the top, so take it!

This year, God is going to use seemingly unfavourable situations, which ordinarily should have led to your disadvantage as the very means for your promotion because you’re His favoured child. Humble yourself; be diligent in your work and in all that you do, and by the Spirit of God, you’ll keep experiencing supernatural promotions. This is your hour to stand out from the crowd and sparkle for the Lord! Never forget this, 2013 is the set time for God to promote and exalt you because it is your year of Favour. Praise the Lord!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen

Isaiah 30.  A Useless Treaty with Egypt. The Disobedient People. God Will Bless His People. God Will Punish Assyria

1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion. 4 For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes. 5 They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach. 6 The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them. 7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.

8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: 9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. 12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: 13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. 14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit. 15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. 16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.

18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. 19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee. 20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: 21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. 22 Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. 23 Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures. 24 The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan. 25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. 26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: 28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err. 29 Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. 30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. 31 For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod. 32 And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it. 33 For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Isaiah 19. God Will Punish Egypt. Egypt will worship the LORD. Trouble along the Nile. Egypt’s helpless leaders. The LORD will bless Egypt, Assyria and Israel

1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. 2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. 3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. 4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts. 5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up. 6 And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither. 7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more. 8 The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish. 9 Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded. 10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish. 11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings? 12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt. 13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof. 14 The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit. 15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do. 16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it. 17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.

18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. 19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. 20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. 21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it. 22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be entreated of them, and shall heal them. 23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. 24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: 25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Daddy GO’s Message titled: SIGNS AND WONDERS

This is going to be a wonderful night.

It is going to be a night somebody here will never forget. Whenever I go out of the camp to hold a Holy Ghost service, there is something I always tell those who are coming for the first time, one of which I am about to repeat here tonight and that is when you go through the scriptures, you will discover that almost all those who got a miracle from Jesus got it by faith.

Jesus would ask them “do you belief I can do this?” If they say “yes we believe”, then He will turn to them and say “be it unto you according to your faith”. Or He will say your faith had made thee whole.

Tonight without any doubt God is here.

How do I know?

He says where two or three are gather in My name I will be there, here we are more than two or three so I know He is here.

Second reason i know He is here is because when He called me to full time ministry He said “Son where you go I will go with you.

So He is here right now. So God is here, by the grace of God I am here, I am ready. By His grace He has prepared me for tonight.

Now the question is are you ready? When do you want your miracle? When we come back in January? When do you want your miracles? Be it unto you according to your faith.

All I am going to do in the next few minutes is to encourage your faith to grow, as soon as I have done that the rest is between you and God and I am sure you will never forget tonight.

Isaiah 7 v 14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign, behold a virgin shall conceived and bear a son and shall call his name Emmanuel.

Tonight we want to talk briefly on Signs and Wonders.

Now what is a Sign?

A sign is an evidence – that what you claim to be is true. Pharaoh said in Exodus 5 v 1 -2 he said I don’t who is the Lord, I am not going to let Israel go. Then God said alright I will give you a sign; I will kill all the first born in the land of Egypt in one night and then maybe you will still say I don’t know you.

Exodus 12 v 29- 32 after God

has shown Pharaoh a sign he is the one who begged Israel to please go.

And I am prophesying to someone straight away all the Pharaohs who says you will not go, God will show them a sign.

Nebuchadnezzar said in Daniel 3 v 14-15 he said to Shadrach , Meshach and Abednego, if you don’t bow and worship my idol, i will throw you into the fiery furnace and who is that God that will deliver you out of my hand.

So God showed him a sign, in Daniel 3 v 24-29 the same Nebuchadnezzar said there is no God like the God of Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego.

As the Lord lives before the end of this month, all those who have been saying where is your God? They will come and bow and say there is no God like your God.

Now what is a Wonder?

A friend of mine once said a wonder is that which causes you to wonder. In other words, a wonder is a miracle so big that your mouth will fall open involuntarily.

In Act 3 v 1 – 10 when a man who has been lame for forty years suddenly began to leap, to walk and to praise God, everybody in the church began to look at him with amazement.

I am decreeing right now to everyone of you here tonight and those of you who are listening all over the world, God will turn you to a wonder.

So as we see in this passage, he said the Lord himself will give you a sign and the sign He will give is that a virgin will conceive and bear a son.

And when you say a virgin will conceive the first thing that will come to anybody’s mind is impossible! So God says I will give you a sign by making the impossible possible.

In the name that is above every other name, in the life of everyone here tonight and all of you who are hearing my voice, every impossibility will become possible tonight.

Now the life of any man can be broken into three compartments:

Physical,

Social and

Spiritual.

Tonight I want to encourage you to increase your faith in the various compartment of a man’s life so that  you can grab the God of wonders and go with your own wonder tonight.

When God said to Abraham in Genesis 18 v 9 -14 that a ninety year old woman would bear a son, Sarah laughed because inside her she was saying impossible.

But there is a God who doesn’t want to hear the word impossible, as a matter of fact the moment he hears the word impossible he rises on his throne and said let me show you a sign.

Whenever somebody tells you that your case is impossible, begin to rejoice because there is a God in heaven with whom nothing shall be impossible.

If He can make a virgin to conceive then what is the problem about a woman who is married? After all she has a man. And I am talking about a God who can produce children out of stones.

According to Mathew 3 v 9 He can produce children from stones, so if you are here tonight and the doctors have told you like they told the lady who testified earlier on; that one of your tube is not working and there is even something in your body that will not allow you to conceive and you saw her carrying a set of twins, then that should tell you there is still a God on His throne who can make the impossible possible.

Some of you who are here, you are here when a sister was sharing her testimony, the doctors have told her she can never carry a baby till nine months, they said the womb was too small so latest five month the baby must come down, she wrote we prayed and God told me she would have her child.

And I wrote back to her and that month she became pregnant, this time she carried this thing to maturity and when the time came to  deliver she gave birth to four at a time; two boys and two girls from a womb that they say cannot carry one, the Almighty God put four there.

There is somebody here today that which they say is impossible will become possible tonight in Jesus name.

So when God says I will make a virgin conceive He is saying anyone who is barren here tonight can also have their own wonders before they go. Now a virgin conceiving is totally unscientific, it is beyond science and medicine and so a virgin conceiving should tell somebody that doctors have called incurable is very easy with the One who can make the virgin conceive, because this is a God that is not controlled by science and medicine.

Thank you father, the Lord says there is someone here tonight, he said every word coming towards you tonight is not a prophecies but a decree.

John 9 v 32-33 the Bible tells us of a man who was born blind and Jesus opened his eye and people began to argue whether it happened or didn’t happened. The man said since the world began, it has never been said, it has never been heard that somebody opened the eye of someone born blind.

There is someone who can open the eye of the blind, there is someone who can make the virgin conceived, that someone is here tonight.  So I want to ask you a question; have you a physical problem? Do you believe that the God of wonders can solve that problem? If you believe, be it unto you according to your faith.

The second aspect of a man’s life is the social aspect, that is when you begin to talk about career, promotion, getting married and things like that.

But they all come down basically to one underline factor. And that has to do with material wellbeing.

Why do I want to rise to the top in my position of work? Because if I get to the top the salary will be different. They asked a young man not too long ago, why are you not getting married? he said “there is no money in my pocket”.

Making the virgin conceive actually means producing something out of nothing. There is a God who can produce water out of the rock according to Exodus 17 v 1-6  He brought water out of the rock.

There is God who can take the last and turn it to the first. You know the story of the widow of Zarephath in 1king… There is a God who can take the little you have and keep on multiplying it. He has done it before in 2king 4 v 1 -7 He told the widow to keep on pouring the little oil that she had and it will keep on flowing until there is no more room to contain it.

This God who can multiply the little and turn it to much, this God who can produce something out of nothing, He is here tonight and He is now asking you, do you have a financial problem? Do you believe that this God of wonders can solve that problem? Do you believe? If you believe, be it unto you according to your faith.

I have told you the story of my father in the Lord when he was alive, when things were very hard and he went to God in prayer and God told him the pot of stew that your wife has just prepared; tell her to keep ditching from it every day, not looking into the pot. Just keep on ditching it.

For days mama will ditch; today it is beef, tomorrow it is chicken, the following day it will be goat meat.  She kept on ditching until one day curiosity overcame her and she looked into the pot and the pot became empty.

Now I know you don’t believe that, you don’t think it can happen, be it unto you according to your faith.

But I have also told you the story of what happened to me, they didn’t tell me it happened to me. I went to preach in Onitsha and was returning, I got to Asaba there was no fuel, I said no problem.

I will get fuel when I get to Benin. I got to Benin no fuel, I said no problem. I will get fuel in Ore, I got to Ore no fuel, by now my tank was reading reserve.

Almighty God what do I do? It was Sunday evening and I must go to my lectures on Monday morning in Lagos.

And the Lord spoke to me and said son, take your eye off the gauge and drive on. And i drove all the way on reserve for ore till i parked in my house in Surulere. There is a God who can bring something out of nothing.

Is there anybody here tonight who is in need of a major financial breakthrough, and you  believe that the God of wonders can do it for you, be it unto you according to your faith.

Thank you Father, the Lord said there is someone here tonight, He said you have been hearing of something called a new song, He said you will sing your own very soon.

Daddy says I should tell somebody tonight, He said don’t be afraid, you are not going to die you are going to complete the assignment I have given you.

The Lord says there is someone here tonight, He said it is my grace that brought you to where you are, my grace will take you to where I want you to be.

The Lord said there is someone here tonight, He said you need just one more miracle for your joy to be full, He said you will get it tonight.

The Lord said there is someone here tonight, He said the night has been much longer than you expected, He said wait till you see what I have for you in the morning.

The Lord asked me to tell someone here tonight, He asked me to make your dream much bigger than they are now, He said because I will fulfil all of them.

Now the third aspect of a man’s life is the spiritual aspect.

Almost everything we do in this world is controlled by spirit, the spiritual controls the physical. Before trouble came to Job, there was something that happened in the spiritual.

There was a meeting between God and the devil where they discussed him. It was their discussion that brought all kind of problems to Job, some of us are where we are today because of some certain spiritual forces.

A blessing is a spiritual force, when your parents bless you, spiritually they are sending assistance to you. I have always told you, that I am where I am today by the grace of God and by the prayer of my mother.

Anytime I did something that pleased her when I was very small, she would say to me, you this boy you will call one person, two hundred will answer. I didn’t understand what that meant. How can I call one fellow and two hundred will answer? But today if I say pastor come; and I didn’t mention the name of the pastor, how many people do you think will come running?

Well I am your father in the Lord maybe I should use this opportunity to make pronouncement.

I say to you who are my true children, from now on you will call one person two hundred will answer.

Just as a blessing is a spiritual force, a curse is also a spiritual curse. I don’t want to go into all the details about that, but one thing is clear, the God who can make the virgin conceived has a spiritual ability that can deal with all spirit.

In Mark 5 v 1-20 we see the story of the mad man of Gadarean, the devil knew that this man had a glorious destiny , that the plan of God for that fellow is to be an evangelist. He sent six thousand demons to bind him up. But one day the Almighty God who can do all things came, overcome all the demons and restored the destiny of this man.

Do you belief that whatever may be your spiritual problem, the God of wonders can solve them, do you believe? Be it unto you according to your faith.

If we ask you, can the shadow of a fisher man heal? You will say impossible, but ask Peter. Can the handkerchief of a lawyer cast out demons? You will say how come? Ask Paul.

Can the handkerchief of a mathematician produce signs and wonder, you will say how come?  But you have heard testimonies. You will hear testimonies; you will share your own testimonies too.

Thank you Father, the Lord said there is someone here tonight, He said you have wept for months, he asked me to tell you that you will laugh for years.

The Lord said there is someone here today; He said in your family in the year that is coming, there will be more than one thanksgiving service.

The Lord said there is someone here this night, He said you have enjoyed miracles up till now, He said get ready for wonders.

The Lord asked me to tell those of you who are here tonight, He said He is going to release unique miracles to seventy of you.

When He said seventy, so I feel that I can try and negotiate. Do you know what a unique miracle is, it is a miracle that had never happened before and will never happen again. Seventy of you,

How many of you think you will be one of them? Be it unto you according to your faith.

Please listening carefully, God is talking to one particular person, please listen carefully.

The Lord said “your cry has always been God, make me your divine treasure”. He ask me to tell you, He is offering you a deal tonight, please listening carefully, this is very important.  He said within the next six month he will double your fortune and you yourself knows that this can a only happen by God.  Now here is the deal and listen carefully he said fifty percent of the increase you must return it to Him. He said this will be the test to find out whether you are a really ready for great things.

Whoever that fellow is, we will see within the next six month.

Now Luke 1 v 34- 37 Mary was born, she is now a virgin young woman and God was about to fulfilled the prophecy that He gave through Isaiah and so the Angel came and told her” woman you are now going to have a boy and…

Thank you Father, the Lord ask me to tell someone in particular, He said you will understand that the tied is already turning.

So the Angel told Mary, you are that virgin the prophet is talking about you are going to have a baby boy, He is going to be the Son of the Most High and so on and so forth.

Then Mary said how can this be? I don’t know a man and the angel said the Holy Ghost. It is the Holy Ghost that is going to perform the wonder in your life.

You see there are certain things when God said He is going to do something, it is so big that your mind cannot even contain it. How will it happen? Not by power, not by might but by Spirit said the Lord of host.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, everything your heart desires you will receive it tonight in Jesus name.

Thank God of the testimony of that young man, I was seating down there, the choir was rehearsing, they were about to finish and I saw a little action towards my right.

I saw a woman pushing a man in a wheel chair, she wanted to come to where I was seating, the guard said no way. Suddenly the Lord spoke to me, “ask him to be brought”, so I said bring him, I called the one standing by me, go and bring that man and they brought him.

I didn’t pray, I just did what God asked me to do. I laid my hand on him and I said the desire of your hands is granted you. Whatever that desire is and I left. And he got up immediately! You heard his testimony.

May I raise my hand towards you and say to all you who are here, whatever may be the desire o your heart receive it right now in Jesus name.

Who qualify for signs and wonders? Mary was a virgin not a harlot. She was pure, she was holy.

Matthew 7 v 6 says you don’t cast pearls before swine. People like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who got signs and wonder kept themselves pure.

People have asked me why do you keep hammering on holiness? Holiness is the master key.

That is the master key to signs and wonder.

That is why I want to encourage you tonight, because you are going to pray in a moment and whatever prayer you pray here tonight, God is going to answer it. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Before we pray, get out of your sins! Give your life to Jesus Christ, let His blood wash you clean, let His blood wipe away your sins and then you can cry to him and he will hear.

David said if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me, the Bible says the Hand of the Lord is not shorten that He cannot save, neither is His Ear is heavy that He cannot hear, but He said sin can block the way between you and your God, that even when you are crying, He won’t hear, if He doesn’t hear, how can he answer?

That is why i want to call those of you who have not given your life to Jesus Christ to come forward now, that is why we have arranged in the inside the auditorium several mini altars, they are about thirty six of them scattered all over.

Each one has a flag on top of it, so when I say come to the Altar, just go to the nearest of the altars to you and there the ministers of God will attend to you.

When I am praying for those who come to the front, the prayer will reach you there, so I am going to count from one to ten I am telling you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, things are going to change from tonight.

So if you want to give your live to Jesus, come now, as you come begin to pray, begin to talk to Jesus Christ, ask Him to save your soul, ask Him to forgive you your sins, promise Him that from now on you will live for Him.

He will become your Lord and Saviour. Begin to talk to Him, ask Him to be merciful unto you, ask Him to cleanse you in His blood, tell Him from now on you will serve Him…. in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Saviour I want to thank you 1 want to thank you for your word and I want to thank you for all these your children who are standing before the various altars.

You promised Lord that whosoever will come unto You, You will in no wise cast out. These Your children have come now, please receive them in Jesus name. Forgive all their sins in Jesus name, let Your blood wipe away all their sins in Jesus name, save their souls and write their names in the book of life in Jesus name.

Tonight Father, give them their own signs and wonders and anytime they call upon you, Father answer them by fire and let them serve you till the end, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen.

All of you in the various altars, I want you to listen to me carefully, I want to thank God for what He has done in your life I want to promise you that from now on I will be praying for you, so I am going to need your name, your address and your prayer request and I promise you I will be praying for you.

So the counsellors will give you cards where you are now, please fill them before you go back to your seat.

“Signs And Wonders” A Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye  RCCG HOLY GHOST CONGRESS 2012

 Minister: Pastor E A Adeboye

Bible Text: Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

What is a sign? A sign is an evidence that what you claim to be is true. Pharaoh said in Exodus 5:1-2 that he didn’t know who God was and He wouldn’t let Israel go but in Exodus 12:29-32 , after God had shown Pharaoh a sign, He begged Israel to go. All the Pharaoh who said you will not go , God will show them a sign in Jesus name. Amen!

Also in Daniel 3:14-15, Nebuchadnezzar said if the three Hebrew boys did not bow down to his image, he will throw them into the fiery furnace and see which God will deliver them but in Daniel 3:24-29 after God showed him a sign, this same Nebuchadnezzar said there was no other God apart from the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. As God lives, before the end of the month, those who are asking “where is your God?” will begin to say “there is no God like your God” in Jesus name. Amen

What is wonder? Someone once said a wonder is that thing that happens that makes you wonder. A wonder is a miracle so big that makes your mouth fall open involuntarily when it happens. In Acts 3:1-10 when the man who has been lame for 40 yrs suddenly began to walk, leap and praise God, everybody in the church began to look at him in amazement.

When God said He will give a sign and that a virgin will give birth to a son, He was indirectly saying He would make the impossible become possible! By the grace of God, all the things that seem impossible in your life will become possible in Jesus name. Amen. A virgin conceiving was very unscientific and that story still doesn’t go down well with science and medicine but our God can do wonders that surpass science.

When God said to Abraham in Gen 18:9-14 that a 90yrs old woman would have a son, Sarah laughed because deep inside her she thought that would be impossible but when our God hears the word impossible, He is eager to do something! Whenever someone tells you your case is impossible, begin to rejoice because there is a God who can make the impossible possible.

There are 3 aspects of a man’s life (1) Physical aspect (2) Social aspect (3) Spiritual aspects If you trust God in all these areas of your life and exercise faith, you’ll begin to experience signs and wonders.

The social aspect of a man includes his social status, financial capability, material wealth and possessions. In making a virgin conceive, God is showing that He is capable of bringing something out of nothing. There is a God who can bring water out of rocks according to Exo 17:1-6, He is the same God who can take the little you have and turn it plenty. Do you have a financial problem? Do you believe this God can solve your problem? If you believe, be it unto you according to your faith.

Almost every thing we do is controlled in the spiritual. Before anything happens in the physical, it happens in the spiritual! Before calamity fell upon Job, something happened in the spiritual, God and the devil had had a conversation. A blessing is a spiritual force, when people bless you, they are sending help your way in the spiritual realm. Just as a blessing is a spiritual force, a curse is also a spiritual force. The God who can make the barren conceive has the spiritual ability to control all things. Do you believe that whatever your spiritual problem the God of wonders can heal you? If yes, be it unto you according to your faith! Amen.

In Luke 1:31-37, When the angel told Mary she was the one God had revealed a long time ago to Isaiah and that even though she was a virgin she would have a son, Mary asked the angel how it would be fulfilled because she didn’t understand how it would happen . There are certain things that when God says He will do , you will be so overwhelmed wondering how God will make it happen but the bible tells us it is not by power nor by might but by the spirit of the Lord. The spirit of God will work wonders in your life in Jesus name, amen.

Who Qualifies for signs and wonders?

Mary was a virgin not a harlot, she was pure and holy. People like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who experienced signs and wonders kept themselves pure. HOLINESS IS THE MASTER KEY TO SIGNS AND WONDERS. Only those who live a holy and pure life will qualify for signs and wonders.

If you are living in sin, you cannot experience signs and wonders. Isaiah 59:1-2 says “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

So if you are still living in sin, confess your sins to God, ask for mercy, give your life to Jesus and He will turn your life.

 Prayer Points

  1. Praise God that you are able to make it for tonight.
  2. Father, please perform a wonder in my body so that i will never be sick again.
  3. Father! Please perform a wonder in my marriage so that it becomes a model for others to copy.
  4. Father, perform a wonder in my family so that we never know sorrow again.

  5. Father! Perform a wonder in my finances so that I will soon be lending to nations.
  6. Father! Anoint me so heavily that evil forces will see me coming and run.
  7. Father! Any evil left in this old year, keep it far from my home.
  8. Any signs and wonders left in this year, send them to my home.
  9. Father! Before the year ends, let my testimonies be complete and perfect.
  10. Father! Forever let me be a channel of blessings.
  11. Personal Prayers.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Psalm 136. A Hymn Of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving To God For His Enduring Mercy

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. 3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. 4 To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. 5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. 6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. 7 To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever: 8 The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever: 9 The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.

10 To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever: 11 And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever: 12 With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever. 13 To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever: 14 And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever: 15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever. 16 To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever. 17 To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: 18 And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: 19 Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever: 20 And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever: 21 And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever: 22 Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever.

23 Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: 24 And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever. 25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. 26 O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God is not trying to keep us out of anything. The good news is that He wants to bring us into something, into a good place of blessing and abundance

Jesus 01

God is not trying to keep us out of anything. The good news is that He wants to bring us into something, into a good place of blessing and abundance

Deuteronomy 6:23 says: “He brought us out from thence, that He might bring us in, to give us the land which He sware unto our fathers.” This is a great revelation to Israel. They had been bound for 430 years. They had been in sin, and they had been enslaved. They had been heavily burdened and grieved by the oppression of Pharaoh and the bondage he subjected them to, but God brought them out through the shed blood of the Passover lamb. He brought them out with a purpose. He brought them out to take them in. God is not trying to keep us out of anything. The good news is that He wants to bring us into something, into a good place of blessing and abundance. Our relationship with Christ is our entrance into the kingdom of God and into His goodness, the abundant life promised in His Word. Never get it in your mind that God is trying to keep you out, but become fully persuaded that He is trying to take you into something good.

Let Him take you in!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

We are gods

We are gods

And the LORD said unto Moses, see, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh; and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

Exodus 7:1

Read: Exodus 7:1-2

God’s plan for us is that we operate as gods on the earth. Our Lord Jesus Christ attested to this in John 10:34:

Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

Why then do we not see a manifestation of this in the life of many believers? What accounts for this disconnect is the absence or presence of the glory of God! if the glory of God is present in your life, the empowered inner man, created in the likeness of God that is buried in you will spring forth and you will occupy your place of dominion. But if the glory of God is absent, you will live a defeated life like any ordinary man and die like them. Some people will do virtually anything to occupy a political, secular or ecclesiastical position whereas the real position they should strive to occupy – as a god of this world is hardly even considered. But that is where the real power is.

In Bible days, Bible heroes were focused on operating as gods on earth. Take for instance Moses and Aaron. They lived as gods, particularly Moses. In Exodus 7:1-2, God told Moses that He had made him a god to Pharaoh. Who was Pharaoh? At this time, Pharaoh was virtually the ruler of the world. Can you imagine that such a king who was feared above other kings was to see Moses as a god? Even today it is still so. God’s saints have been empowered to be gods to the Pharaohs of this world. However, operating in the light of this revelation depends entirely on them. From the experience of Egypt, there was chaos, fear, trembling and lots of trouble whenever Moses came into the land to see Pharaoh. Can you imagine two men affecting and determining what happens with the administration, economy, security, agriculture, health, movement, food and drink, the lives of families and cattle of the nation of Egypt? And once Moses made a pronouncement to Pharaoh, irrespective of whether he believed it or not, his word was law and bound to happen. You too can control your nation as a god of this world by ensuring you carry God’s presence.

God’s idea of gods is not in inanimate objects being seen as such, but in His children operating fully in His image!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Make an impact in your world today (Nation Building)

MAKE AN IMPACT IN YOUR WORLD TODAY (NATION BUILDING)

So David prevailed
over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine,
and slew him, but there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran,
and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the
sheath therefore, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the
Philistine saw their champion was dead, they fled (! Samuel 17:50-51).

Nation-building, national progress and infrastructural
development is not a task for the government alone, but our collective
responsibility. We all are to make our impact felt in our respective spheres of
contact. It may be in your community, place of work, city or nation at large;
look out for a need, and reach out to meet that need.

Imagine if David had joined the rest of his kinfolks to
merely lament and muse over the terror unleashed on the Israelites by Goliath.
Rather, he rose to the challenge. He saw a need and reached out to meet the
need. When his brothers tried to talk him down he asked them, “Is there not a cause?” (1 Samuel
17:29). David wasn’t in the army, yet he was moved by the plight of his people
and chose to make an impact. He recognized he could do something that could
change the destiny of his people.

Also, Moses became the deliverer of the children of Israel
from the severe oppression mounted by Pharaoh and his taskmasters. He didn’t
sit in an “arm chair” to merely criticize Pharaoh for his wickedness. Rather,
he was spurred to action by the desire to liberate the children of Israel from
the deplorable conditions under which they lived in Egypt. What about Esther? She
too changed the destiny of her people by rescuing the Jews from mass
annihilation plotted by Haman.

These ones stood up for the salvation of others and made
tremendous impact in the world of their time. Their individual victory brought
overall victory to the nation; it’s your turn to do the same. Take your civic
and social responsibilities towards the nation seriously. Look out for a human
need around you and reach out to meet that need.

Make an impact in your world today. Have a personal
commitment to serve, as several opportunities for service abound around us. Let
there be a strong motivation, an inner drive, and a powerful propensity to see
to it that the lives of those around you are improved through your actions. Be
challenged and motivated by the desire to impact your world and give back to
society.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father!
I thank You for opening doors of opportunities for me to be a blessing to my
world today. By Your Spirit, and through Your Wisdom, I identify and carry out
those things you’ve ordained me to do that’ll better my world and bring glory
to Your Name, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Holy Spirit Can Help You Today

HOLY SPIRIT CAN HELP YOU TODAY

But as many as
received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on His name (John 1:12).

As Moses was growing up in the house of Pharaoh, he
perceived that he would be Israel’s deliverer and he began to think of how to
accomplish this mission; how to bring his people out of the bondage of slavery.
He got an idea and soon began working on it. He decided to take the Egyptians
out, one by one. He started out and killed the first one. He however didn’t
have the opportunity to kill the next one before trouble came and he had to
escape from Egypt.

It’s possible you’re in the same situation as Moses was. Everything
around you points towards the direction of unfulfilled dream. You want to be successful;
meanwhile everything around you looks bleak. Like Moses, you feel as though you’re
pushed to the wall. The ready solution seems to take matters into your own
hands even if it means defrauding others. I’d like to remind you that true and
lasting riches come from God alone. You can become the dream that God has for
you only through the agency of the Holy Spirit and not by getting involved in
the wrong stuff.

Moses kept going in
circles until he encountered God at the burning bush. It was there that God spoke
to him and corrected his ways. Moses realized that violence wasn’t going to
work and he needed the Lord’s help. Violence can only lead to bondage. Let God
help you today as He did Moses; let Him help you bring the vision of your heart
to reality. Choose to go the supernatural way today. The Lord Jesus is calling
you today, just as He called Simon and his brother, Andrew:”Follow me” He says,
“and I will make you what I’ve chosen
you to be.”

PRAYER

DEAR FATHER, YOUR
WORD IS MY LIGHT BY WHICH I FIND MY WAY. I COMPLETELY TRUST IN THE ABILITY OF
THE WORD TO MAKE ME THE PERSON YOU WANT ME TO BE. I YIELD TO THE TRAINING OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT, IN JESUS CHRIST NAME, AMEN!

You are the saviour of the masses.

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

IF YOU LIVED ON THE
WORLD’S TERMS, THE WORLD WOULD LOVE YOU AS ONE OF ITS OWN. BUT SINCE I PICKED
YOU TO LIVE ON GOD’S TERMS AND NO LONGER ON THE WORLD’S TERM, THE WORLD IS
GOING TO HATE YOU. (JOHN 15:19 MSG)

Most people
think of what their country can do for them and not what they can do for their
country. Such people are known as the masses. “I don’t understand why we have
bad roads in our country; there is no water and electricity” or “The Government
is not doing enough” they say. You’ll always hear them complain and grumble.

As a child
of God, it’s important you realize that you don’t belong to the masses. The Lord
Jesus testified concerning us that we are not of the masses. You were called out of the masses to save the masses. The moment you
start thinking or talking like the masses, it means you’ve already classed
yourself with them, and society will be more than willing to treat you as such.

When Jesus
brings His Word to you, He locates you among the masses and saves your soul. He
then gives you the Holy Ghost, which automatically separates you from the
masses, to become a saviour of
the masses. Become challenged by the pain and suffering of the other people. When
you see those in need, don’t say, “why doesn’t the government help them”;
rather, think of what you can do to help. Ask yourself, “What can I do?” for
you can do a lot. The Bible shows us that throughout Joseph’s ordeal and pain
which he suffered in the hands of his siblings and boss, he never stopped
helping. This attitude distinguished him from other people and brought him before
Pharaoh. Through his wisdom, the Egyptian empire was preserved during the
famine (Genesis 41:55). Be a helper today; God is counting on you.

You’re the
solution to the problems of the suffering masses of the world. If you would
only become help – conscious, supply to you will never be a problem, God will
channel His grace towards you and you’ll be able to help more and more people
in need. You must distinguish yourself by your way of thinking.

CONFESSION

I am not of the world. I am a citizen
of Zion, called to be a saviour and a solution to the cries of the masses all
over the world. I wake up to my responsibility today, and I declare that my
ability to help others increases everyday in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
